David, it is true that Isaiah 14:4ff refers to the king of Babylon, yet it appears that his wickedness was likened to Lucifer (= the shining one). And that not only his rule, but also his destiny would be as assigned to Lucifer. The King probably entertained such thoughts in his heart also, as 'exalting himself above anyone else on Earth or in Heaven even to be equal to God', which he was considered during his rule. So the reference is to the king, but clear allusion to Lucifer, the spirit that controlled the king, both in his mental aspirations & wickedness as a regent.

As further support, we have Ezekiel chapter 28, where a similar wicked prince is taken over the coals: the Prince of Tyrus. He too made similar claims (v2). Then Ezekiel took up a lamentation over him (vv 12-19) with words that clearly show that the prince could not possibly be the one that is only referred to here (vv 13-16) & that there is another one that perfectly fulfilled this, indeed was instrumental in the prince's behaviour. Words such as 'anointed cherub' & 'perfect in the ways from the day thou was created' can't be applied to the prince, rather strongly reveals Satan who was once pure & holy 'until iniquity was found in thee' who was the prince's influence.

So the question comes back to your thoughts: 'if angels have no will of their own, how can they then sin'? Herein, our understanding ceases as we're not told how this can happen. But because it happened, we should not remove all references to Satan/Lucifer as one who was never in Heaven as a cherub. And, we're not required to be 'sinless to enter Heaven': we are still saved & sanctified sinners who will be renewed in every way, outfitted for life in Eternity. Only Jesus is seen as a sinless Man now glorified in Body & in worship, at His Father's right Hand.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. You are on the right track cause we all should fear God. Pray for strength, guidance, to be delivered from temptations and evil. God and Jesus will hear you and will protect you. Remember, we serve The Father and Saviour, not mortal man. God says the more you resist satan, he will flee from you. Peer pressure is a tough obstacle but, God and Jesus are greater than anything you can encounter in life. God is a loving, forgiving, trustworthy God. Keep praying. God and Jesus will never leave or forsaken you. Depend on God and Jesus. They will not let you down. God Bless you.

One of the best tools satan has is to make you doubt yourself and your Christianity. Believe in Jesus Christ, trust God. Sometimes miracles happen that we don't know about. God always listens and answers according to His will. We are all forgiven of our sins if, we believe in Jesus. His blood will wash us as white as snow to be presented to the Father. Never be discouraged, ask God for strength, depend on His mercies, wisdom, love, protection and guidance. I have found out that God and Jesus can overcome any of my anxieties, burdens and deficiencies with His perfect love. God and Jesus will never leave you. Pray for wisdom as you read the Bible. God will comfort you and lead you. He nor Jesus will ever let you down. God bless you. Allow God to take control. Lay your burdens and anxieties at Jesus's feet.

I feel the same as you. There is a Christian man out there for me, somewhere. Marriage to me with somone I love and who loves me would be a great blessing. I have dedicated my life to God and Jesus. Thank you for your service for our country and all the people. You seem to be a very determined man. I think it is great you have musical talent. As far as weight loss, even with limited exercise can easily be done. The right diet is all you need. Thank you again for your sacrifice and service. I am happy you are a Christian. Please pray for mine and all my families salvation. I am the only Christian amongst my family and friends, and I go to church, but unsure if I'm saved because I haven't been baptised yet. I don't even know if any of my prayers are even being answered or whether I'm doing good enough on my Christian walk. I have managed to resist the devil with some of my sins (Praise God !!!), but I struggle with other sins. Is this normal ? I have also tried to evangelise to friends and family members, but feel like I'm getting through to anyone. I believe that we can do all things through Christ, I'm just not sure whether Christ is in me because I'm still struggling with some sins. I've tried to talk to my pastor about my concerns, but all he says is keep looking up, which it not very helpful and I'm beginning to wonder whether Christ is actually in him ? I thought that he would be able to at least give me some reassurance. I also get similar responses from other church members when I ask questions about the bible or my concerns. I sometimes feel like I'm talking double dutch because I thought that we were suppose to be Christ like, yet all of the adult members have been Christians for 10 plus years, yet none of them seem to be able to give me any helpful advice. I believe that the gifts of the holy spirit are for everyone, yet everyone else at church believes that the gifts of the holy spirit were only for the 12 disciples ? And the pastor even said that tongues was only for the disciples to preach in different countries, Yet there are many people at my old church that speak in tongues and get their prayers answered. I actually wonder sometimes whether I'm on crazy pills or whether any of the people at my church are actually saved, because they all seem like robots at times and put the pastors on pedestals like they're some sort of God's which I find very disturbing !!! I'm even wondering whether to stop going to church and just try and go it alone ? Thanks in advance x

You make some good points on fearing God and that there are those that do end up in Hell. However, Angels in Heaven did not sin, nor were the Angels of God cast out of Heaven. Satan was not in Heaven where God dwells and where those saved from sin spend eternity.

Angels have no will of their own, making it impossible for them to sin. Satan was not an Angel of God that rebelled and was then cast out. Yes there are areas in the Bible that talk about Satan in heavenly places such as in Job, where Satan and God were discussing or debating, whatever we want to call this interaction in consideration of Job. But Satan was never in the Heaven talked about as in Heaven vs Hell, places souls spend eternity.

The probable area that seems to indicate Satan was in Heaven and cast out is represented in Isaiah 14 starting in verse 4 "...take up this proverb against the king of Babylon..." Here the description of Babylon's king Nebuchadnezzar and his fall from power and being turned into a beast as depicted in Daniel 4 begins. Another depiction of what would happen to the king as told by 2 accounts in 2 different ways. In Isaiah 14:12 we read "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" Isaiah 14 is still talking about a man, the king of Babylon. In verse 16 it confirms that a man is still being discussed. "...Is this the man that made the earth to tremble..." Would you call Satan a man? Satan and Lucifer are not the same; Lucifer was an alternate name, a nickname maybe, of Nebuchadnezzar.

If Angels in Heaven can sin, and you or I can be thrown out of Heaven, does it sound like such a great reward as we otherwise think it to be? Why are we required to be sinless to enter Heaven, yet after arriving we can sin again once there? Isn't part of the reward of gaining Heaven to not be in or around sin, sinful things, and the temptation to sin? Sin and the sinful cannot enter Heaven.

Claire, I will pray for you that God will lead you to someone who will tell you the truth. God does have a church where you can live free from sin.

Revelation 12:9 that deception being a future event will happen when Satan is kicked out of heaven to earth and then read up verses 3 and 4 of this chapter of 2 Thess 2 and you will see a supernatural man stand up in Jerusalem claiming he is God returned and don't worship and don't chase after him because he is a liar who brings fake peace and a one world religion. It's a 5 month period cut down from 7 years for the elect sake. It's all in the book of Revelation. Oh, the long haired locust means soft spoken and those iron breastplates are as the priest breastplates that had 12 stones that were used a long time ago so it's priest and preachers in Satans peaceful deception takeover of the world.

I think the reason some say baptism is encouraged, but not 'required' is verses like John 3:16.

However, in my opinion, that's only part of the picture; there's so many other verses to consider like Acts 2:38.

You already read the scriptures, you already want to do it, and you absolutely should. So, please do it, despite the pastors opinion. Since churches that normally would do this probably do this on a limited basis during the virus, if you don't want to wait any longer, all you need is another person, such as a pastor or minister, to baptize you. You could get permission to be baptized with a church's facilities on another day, or you could do it in a lake, pool, or hot-tub or any number of places that are just as valid. The key is that you know what it symbolizes and its helpful to read the scriptures beforehand so you know exactly what it means.

Please pray for my son Michael. He is a Christian but quite carnal in his activities. He professes Jesus but has problems with alcohol and legal pharmaceuticals over the counter. His friends are also carnal and some profess to be Christians but are not following Jesus totally. I am asking Jesus our Lord for a miracle in his life that would change him dramatically so he can live a happy life in our Father, God.. His desires for an ex-girl friend have been very destructive to him and he keeps dreaming that one day he could be smart enough and educated enough for her to accept him. So he decides to gain worldly knowledge instead of putting that time that he spends, into walking as the Lord Jesus would want him to walk by the Word of God... I pray that God would bring true Spirit-filled Christians into his life and a special one the could help him along the true path of Jesus. Thank-you for your prayers, brothers and sisters in Jesus!

I've been going to church for almost 3 years now, but still haven't been baptised !!! I feel like I have overcome some sins (By the grace of God) but still struggling with others. Is this normal ??? I'm not even sure if I am saved, because TWO pastors from two DIFFERENT churches BOTH said that I don't need to be baptised to be saved, but from what I have read in the KJV bible, MOST if not ALL the scriptures say repent AND be BAPTISED ??? BOTH pastors have said that I just have to repent and ask JESUS in to my heart, and if we believe, we receive !!! (But that just sounds like it's from the pits of hell to me !!!) BOTH pastors say that I'm taking the scriptures TOO literally, yet NONE of the things that we pray about to my knowledge get answered, Like people being healed from sickness or for people's salvation. I've even started questioning whether I am a REAL Christian or not ??? To my knowledge, I don't know ANYNONE from church that have managed to lead ANYONE to CHRIST, yet I know that most, have witnessed to people. I'm not even sure if I'm doing things right or if any of my prayers are being answered or whether I'm just doing it all in vain ??? Please can you pray for my salvation and ask GOD to help me to stop sinning, because I have mentioned this to BOTH pastors in the past and not really felt any reassurance from any of them. I also disagree with a lot of their doctrine and feel restless during the services and feel like a hypocrite for keep going to their church, yet I know that the devil is subtle and possibly trying to separate me from other Christians because nobody else around me are Christians other then the people at church. I also dreamt that I was in a church and the pastor was Mark Strong (An actor) Not sure whether GOD is trying to tell me something or whether Satan is trying to deceive me ??? Mishael, may the Spirit grace us with his words, you quoted Isaiah 14:11-16. Verse 16 says: They that see thee (king of Babylon) shall narrowly look upon thee (king of Babylon), and consider thee (king of Babylon), saying is this the MAN (king of Babylon) that made the earth to tremble, and that did shake kingdoms. The whole chapter is about the king of Babylon. Ezekiel 28 is talking about the king of Tyrus, Ezekiel 28:12. Satan was a liar and murder from the beginning, no perfection there. The third that fall in Revelation 12:4 is the same third in Zachariah 13:9 and the same third in Ezekiel 5:1-4 and the same third in Revelation 8:7-12. These prophesies are about fire saving mankind not torturing mankind.

My sister had a massive heart attack yesterday morning. Now she is in a coma and no brain activity.She is a good woman, and christian, and mother of 3. Lucifer was A CREATED ARCHANGEL. 4th in line to the Throne. He was cast down to the Earth. He became Satan. He was NOT human. He had no ability to produce children, unless you refer to evil spirits? Lucifer was in charge of praise and worship to God. He lost his position and name also when he was cast out.

And the GREAT DRAGON was cast out, that old SERPENT called the DEVIL and SATAN, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Please pray for a miracle for me. I have fallen into deep depth by trying to keep a roof over my head. Now it has come to be overbearing. I am in the process of having to pack-up and move out. Please, pray for a miracle for me. God has done it for me before, I trust he can and will do it again. But I know that prayer can move heaven. I am sixty four years of age, I lost a job of thirty years two years ago. I am living off of pension, social security and a part time job. I would be able to handle it, but I am trying to pass off four installment loans, thats running me into three thousand dollars for sixteen hundred. Please keep me in your prayers.

I am praying for humanity. First of all giving thanks that we have the ability for grace to save us, and also of protection. I'm praying for Stephanie. She's a very good friend of mine, however she's feeling sick at the moment, and I am worried she'll get worse. I am hoping whatever she has is just a common cold.

I am a Wounded soldier, honorably discharged twice and decorated U S Air Forces America and Europe. I seek my wife. Who will love me just as I am and run the house and help me and share life with. Who is a born-again christian like me who loves the LORD and will love me. So we can worship he LORD together and have a great marriage for a long time.

My being hurt hinders my walking and standing some so I'm using a 4 wheel walker right now plus a cane. I need to start working out and to loose some weight. Overall, I know that in the sermons I've heard from church at times, that I'm suppose to be meeting someone from our LORD Jesus it just hasn't happened yet. Please pray for me. Also that i will learn how to play musical instruments and compose songs very well.
