On the day of judgement which is the time of the dead when they should be judged, GOD shall give reward unto King David being one of HIS servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear God's name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth ( Revelation 11:18).
check malachi chapter 4.Also, in the transfiguration, Christ met with Moses and Elijah. Finally, the discription of the two witnesses in verses 5-6 are supportive of this fact. Let us always pray to God for the Holy Spirit to interprete God's word to us.
Look carefully and you will find that only the gospel of Matthew and John is really valid. These are the two olive trees because they bear the fruit of the Word.
The other two are 'candlesticks' that actually 'burn out' and are false.These gospels are not of the appointed and handpicked apostles.
Nobody is really seen to challenge the 'church', yet we have to wonder what their great secrets are.The truths are revealed to the nameless, but only great theologians determine what m***es may see. It is true ..many weeds are found in the fields also, even in what the largest part of the world is told is 'the truth'.
God is very smart, and the scriptures do tell all, even of its desecration.
a. Verses 34-37 are describing a post tribulation rapture ( Revelation 11:11, 12) to take place after the abomination of desolation (anti-Christ) breaks the peace treaty with Israel at mid-tribulation ( Daniel 9:27).
Verse 12 can only refer to 2 prophetic prophets:
1. Reference to John the Baptist who would have been Elijah as one crying in the wilderness preaching of the coming (kingdom) Messiah Jesus Christ to save his people (Jews). John was arrested by Herod, put in prison and beheaded. Jesus did not resurrect John as he will do with Elijah and Moses in Revelation 11:12, who are the two witnesses preaching the coming kingdom as was John. The Jews rejected Jesus in 1st advent ( John 1:11). John was not resurrected because of the Jews rejection of Jesus and so John did not become in typology Elijah of Revelation 11:1-12;
2. Elijah and Moses will come before Jesus in the 2nd advent ( Matthew 17:1-13) preaching the everlasting kingdom and be killed (beheaded) and be resurrected ( Revelation 11:1-12).
1. Matthew is a book about the king of the Jews ( Matthew 2:2);
2. Until the cross they are under the law;
3. Jesus first came to save his people the Jews ( Matthew 1:21);
4. Much of Matthew is prophetic given to the Jews for the future, knowing that the Jews were going to reject Jesus as their Messiah. The titles of each book are clues to whom that book is directed at, Jewish title or gentile title. In chapter 25, if a person stumbles over the doctrinal intent then, it will be difficult understanding the spiritual intent. I believe that this chapter 25 is mainly given to the Jews in the tribulation age. Trying to place this chapter in the church age will not work and here is why.
a. Kingdom of heaven is a Jewish term;
b. Virgins = 144,000 Jews from Revelation 7:4 3;
c. The church is always without exception referred as singular (never plural);
d. Oil = holy spirit and it can never be purchased but given when asked for in church age;
e. The wise virgins trimmed their lamps = good works;
f. The foolish virgins did not trim their lamps = no works;
g. In church age we are saved by grace not by works;
h. The 5 virgins go out to meet the bridegroom (church age saints are caught up to be with him);
i. I believe there will be a tribulation rapture ( Revelation 11:12) and the 5 wise virgins that took oil, (in church age we receive oil (holy spirit)) go up with Christ in the tribulation rapture ( Revelation 14:12-16) and the 5 foolish virgins that did not trim their lamps go into the millennial age after second advent of Christ.
