I take it to believe "yea", may not be him rejoicing but even that, has scripture backing Philippians 4:4-9, James 1:2-4, 1 John 4:18,

even if we walk in/near death we should not fear because GOD promises to be with us (that trust in HIM) Deuteronomy 31:8, Hebrews 13:5-6, John 14:16-21, Psalm 139:1-24, Psalms 37:40,

    The rod; Proverbs 13:24, Job 21:9, Proverbs 29:15, Lamentations 3:1, many times references discipline, correction: Proverbs 22:15, Proverbs 23:14, Proverbs 3:12, Hebrews 12:4-8-11, Staff: Hebrews 11:21, Zechariah 8:4, Exodus 21:19, Numbers 22:27, 2 Samuel 3:29, Judges 6:21

Hopefully these scriptures help you with the HOLY Spirit to understand deeper. John 14:26, James 1:5

    GENESIS 2

18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an HELP meet for him.

20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an HELP MEET for him.

    21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now BONE OF MY BONE and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: AND THEY SHALL BE ONE FLESH.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

As long as we reverence the exclusivity of the marriage there will be less problems. Often relatives, siblings, parents, friends; try to speak their ideas into your marriage. So in verse 24 we see that it is dangerous to allow others to judge your marriage. They didn't have cell phones back then. :/

By being loyal to each other, and not permitting others to offer comment on you or your spouse, you will save on trips to counselors or attorneys.

Television prime time is harmful to marriage. People feel threatened by a persons healthy marriage and family relationships with kids.

Unsolicited advise gets met with: "I always check in the Bible for my advise." Really, Deuteronomy and Leviticus have useful principals. What builds up; what tears down// 1 Corinthians 7

We live in a society that feels threatened by anything remotely "religious". I made all the mistakes, so I really want you to succeed.

Pedophilia people, zoophilia people, furries gays, and clothing optonal people are not Sodomites. They are wanting one person to be a condeming judge.

    Proverbs 3:32-34

    King James Version

32 For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. Genesis 19:9 9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 2 Peter 2:7

"And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:"

King James Version. Proverbs 3:32: For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous." People are froward - forceful with their words and actions to spesific people. Matthew 11:12

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." People are forceful toward the people I mentioned. Islamic People don't like what I teach. The catholic church does not say what I teach. Pedophilia people are not like either one of them. Whatever you do unto the least of these my brethren, you are doing it unto me. Romans 12:2

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." People s think God's will is: You are associated with that name: die, or you are a pedophile or a sex offender, when a young person just so happens to see parts, that made their life to be a reality.,

    Janie,

Are you a born-again Christian? John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Humble yourself before Christ, confess your sins, repent--to wit, determine never to commit those sins again--and believe in your heart that he has saved you. He will give you a new heart and a new life in Him. Ezekiel 36:26 "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."

Once you are born-again, do get baptized by submersion, and I strongly advise you to talk to a pastor or someone who can lead you into the steps of spiritual growth.

Even after we are saved, God doesn't promise everything will run smooth, but He does promise that He will be with us always.

I lost four friends and five family members in a matter of several months. It was a hard pill to swallow and I kept waiting for the next person to die, wondering if I was next.

I don't mean to sound flip, but these things do happen. Bad things happen, people die, it's all due to the fall in the Garden of Eden. And all we can do is pray for comfort, really, knowing that God's will is just, though we may not understand until we get to Heaven. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

    God bless you!

Hi peggy Confessing Romans 10:9+10 the reason why God says believe in your heart that word heart is the word cardia that which you believe in the very core of your being. The same usage of heart is used in Proverbs 3:5+6 notice verse 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear or respect the lord and depart from evil. If you respect you stop doing things against what you respect. There is no excuse. God Bless

    Proscovia naiga,

I do not know your situation, sometimes we can go through some pretty lousy times, that is hard to for us see an out. It can look so dark we cannot see any light. Let me assure you there is light out there if we hold fast to our faith. Start with prayer, ( Psalms 66:20) Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

Matthew 6 is a good chapter, if we strive to live in this way the Spirit of Christ will lift us up and give us the strength to get through. We must keep in our thoughts, the life to come is our hope in Jesus Christ. It may take time but don't give in and when you see better times don't forget who brought you through, give Him all the praise and glory.

    ( James 1:2-4) ( Psalm 34:17) ( Proverbs 3:5-6) ( 2 Corinthians 1:10) ( Colossians 1:13) ( James 1:12)

Prayers for better times for you.

kevin In the least common denominator prayer is just asking God for something. Don't use repitition and don't beg He's more willing to give than we are to receive. There's nothing He will not do according to His Word, there's the condition people pray for God to do things that His word says he doesn't do then there's the opposite He does things that people say He doesn't do. He knows you better than you know You so a big part of this is Proverbs 3:5+6. God Bless have fun. P.S. To believers there are over 400 promises in Gods Word now Question is How Many do you Know.

This is 2 end the discussion on Jeremiah chapter 17 verse 9, even though the Bible speaks of man heart being evil there are some solution ?, one is found in proverbs 3: five - seven; Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not on unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. There are more compelling scriptures and testimonies about how 2 overcome the evil that the bible speaks in a man's heart with the teachings of Jesus and God's guidance, love, Mercy, and patient will get us through to the end, it's all in his holy word.

    Hi Norman,

I would just read what God says and ignore what man says. If you click on these or hover over them you'll see what each Bible verse says. It's clear to me what it says and means and is interesting how some others word hard to try to make it mean something else. 1 Peter 5:8

    Matthew 7:14

Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

James 2:14-26 "...faith, if it hath not works, is dead..."

James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."

1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"

    Romans 11

John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

    Matthew 12:31-32

    Romans 14:12

1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

People have freewill to choose good or evil:

    Psalms 25:12

Joshua 24:15 "choose you this day whom ye will serve"

    Psalm 119:30

    Luke 16:13

    Proverbs 3:31

    Fear God:

    Joshua 24:14

    Psalms 25:12

    Proverbs 1:29

    Seek God:

    Psalms 63:1

"I'm not a bad person". Everyone thinks they're good, including the wicked.

    Romans 3:23

    Mark 10:18

    Good day brother John,

To say Jesus Christ "did not know all things" I cannot say that. I believe our Lord Jesus Christ is one with God. Can I explain everything, no.

Weather we have some differences on how we perceive certain things in Scripture is normal. No one knows everything except God. Like I stated in another post. As long as what we take from Scripture is in line with the Will of God then it's good. As the Word of God is living, very deep, and sharper than any two edge sword. Hebrews 4:12.

The important thing is we are both with Christ, of His body, and He is our Lord. Staying faithful and true, with a pure heart, to our Lord Jesus Christ to the glory of God our Father is key. Living for His Will.

As you noted in another post that John was taken up to heaven for the visions in Revelation. I believe Jesus Christ is there with God now. In Revelation 5:3-5 it speaks about "a man being worthy to open the seals" then speaks of the Lion of the tribe of Juda and Root of David being worthy to open the book and loose the seven seals. I see Jesus Christ opening the book just as it says. If you perceive it differently that's ok.

To believe in the three in ONE view is simply put by this: when we are Blessed to be converted, called or chosen, to be born of the Spirit from above, the Spirit of God the Father, the Spirit of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost all dwell in us. In one Spirit. This is truth and in Scripture.

Let us retain God in our thinking, trust Him, and He will direct our paths. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Have a wonderful day. God Bless.

May God Almighty bless, heal and protect you in the name of Jesus Christ! You might want to go to you tube and listen to Derek Prince - specifically "Spritual Warfare". He has about a 2 hour teaching and then a spiritual warfare prayer, you are to say out loud, too (you might have to search for that "spiritual warfare prayer" on youtube). Also, please read your bible every day. Read at least one Psalm out loud, every day and read the psalms as you walk through each room of your house. Put a bible in each room of your house and open them! satan hates the word! The enemy must leave when you speak out loud the name of Jesus Christ! Go to youtube and sing praise hymns or songs - satan hates this, too. Praise Jesus Christ, God Almighty & the Holy Spirit out loud several times per day - satan hates this, too!

I pray you have a blessed day! If God is for you, who can be against you?

Proverbs 3:5-7, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thine own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths."

Jeremiah tells us of what the Lord God sees in our heart. Paul writes in Romans 7 the battle in mind and hearts to love and serve God. The same struggle we all go through. However, Paul also reminds us about how if any be in Christ, he is now a "new creature" and that "...old things have passed away behold all things are become new."( 2 Corinthians 5: 17)

Paul encourages us into this new mind set through Col 3:1-6. Where he admonishes us to mortify or kill the things that "...sake the wrath of God..." onto the children of disobedience. v. 10 But also to "...put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him."

But before we try to "put on" the new man, we need to "put off" the things cause us to fall constantly. v. 8

The struggle is tough, but the Lord promises us victory when we try. That's the Holy Spirit's job, to remind us, to encourage us, to strengthen and especially to comfort us. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." Proverbs 3: 5, 6

May the Lord's blessing be evident on all who endeavor to love and worship our soon coming Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Hi Suziq.

Jeremiah 17:9. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

YOU ARE SO RIGHT, IN THE HEBREW I THINK IT ACTUALLY SAYS INCURABLY WICKED.

THAT'S WHY GOD DON'T REPAIR THE OLD HEART, HE GIVES US A NEW HEART.

Ezekiel 36:26-27. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Ezekiel 11:19. And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I WILL TAKE THE STONY HEART OUT OF THEIR FLESH, and will give them an heart of flesh:

Proverbs 3:3-6. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Even the desciples was confused throughout Jesus ministry.

John 6:60-63. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

IT IS THE SPIRIT THAT QUICKENETH; THE FLESH PROFITETH NOTHING: THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU, THEY ARE SPIRIT, AND THEY ARE LIFE.

John 16:12-13. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

    Hi Bridget,

Just to give a little reply to your comment. Do you believe we are still under the Old Covenant?

If you believe we are to live by every word in the Bible, Old Testament also, this would mean to still be sacrificing animals for your sins? Or stoning people and putting them to death for certain things? Maybe circumcising of the foreskin of the flesh?

Maybe you mean this is only about the Sabbath being on "saturday"? The Ten Commandments. I really see no problem with that. If people want to keep the "saturday" Sabbath great. Lots of unbelieving Jews, of Jesus Christ, do also. Who stay away from the New Testament.

We are under a New Covenant. This does not mean throw away the Old Testament. There is still much wisdom in the Old Testament. Though if you ONLY read the Old Testament you will have a vail over you as in 2 Corinthians 3:11-16. I very much enjoy reading the Old Testament. Though having the Spirit of Christ to guide me I can feel what is good and still applicable and things that are done away with say in the laws in the Torah. As nine out of the Ten Commandments are in the New Testament and many of the Mitzvot laws are still moral and good. Though now we in Christ are to be led by the Spirit, by grace, not every word of the law. We have God's law on our hearts. Which in one word is Love. Turn from evil and do good. Psalms 37:27, 1 Peter 3:11.

Let us stay focused on following Christ with a pure heart. Be Holy 1 Peter 1:16.

Like I've sated in a post before. I strive to keep every day Holy not just one a week. Always retaining God in my thoughts and living for Him not myself. Romans 6:11-14.

Just like you stated Trust God and He will not lead you astray. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Praise God He hath sent us His Son as His free gift of Salvation. The only way to the Father is through the Son. Jesus Christ our Lord.

God Bless and have a wonderful day.

1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.

    Isaiah 61:1 - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives (of sin), and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

    Hello Sacha,

No need to be sorry, you have created no havoc. As the "everyone is to be saved" part I don't think I stated you said that. Just that I went through thinking that a while ago. Just in line with "no hell" which is what I think you believe.

About the couple verses you stated for me as an answer to the first analogy I wrote "I just really see it as if we say there is a hell and there really isn't what wrong have we done" which is Christ quoting Isaiah 29:13. Which I can't quite link that to this. Then quoting the end of Revelation about changing the prophesies of the Bible. That is why I believe there is a place of eternal torment or "hell". Because the Bible says so. As you didn't reply to the second analogy in that "if people don't believe in "hell" though it really exists". How this could be dangerous to others in my eyes.

As Adam gave a good reply about to "fear God". This teaching is throughout the Bible as we are also to love Him. Say how you would love your dad but if you do something wrong you may be whipped for it and scared to know it's coming. Though this is much higher as with God. A couple more verses for you Psalms 34:9, Psalms 115:13, Proverbs 3:7, Luke 1:50, Romans 3:18, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Hebrews 12:28, Revelation 19:5.

As I have over forty verses to love God.

To the last statement of "if they told you that they had had a near death or actual death experience that fully validated substantiated and confirmed all their religious beliefs ?" Well, as there are hundreds probably thousands of NDE's and some have no experience at all. I have never heard of someone meeting Buddah, Allah, or Muhammed etc. Though I have seen people converted to Christ from those other religions. Even Atheists who didn't believe. As there are many and all are personal and unique. There are many things that connect with the teachings of the Scriptures.

    In kindness.

    God Bless.

Hopefully these may be the verses you were looking for:

James 4:13-15 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Maybe Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

This very important command is found in so many verses in the New Testament as it puts into action the Love that God has shown to us in Christ. If that Love was so powerful & engaging to us, the change effected in us, must also become practical to others. The question then is, 'How much do we love ourselves?' And it doesn't speak of us being vain, admiring ourselves in the mirror & entertaining useless thoughts of grandeur & of great worth to others. Rather, it reminds us that what we go through every day, is to ensure our survival on Earth & trying to foster happiness in our lives to overcome heartache & despair.

Do we feed & clothe ourselves? Do we engage in exercises of the body & mind to keep us healthy? Do we put some money away for our future & for our children? Do we have roofs over our head & appliances to help us in the home? And many other things that you might think of that apply to your well-being. In like manner, the love & care we give to ourselves & loved ones, must also produce from that same heart, both a sympathy & an empathy for those who may not be as fortunate as us, whether those immediately around us or in our cities (our neighbour) or in other countries, where hunger, disease, poor sanitary conditions, etc. are rife. Many would just say 'Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?' ( James 2:16), hoping that someone else will see to their needs. But the Love of Christ constrains us: that if see someone in need (especially a real need from no fault of their own), then it should not only be our hearts, tears & prayers that go out for them, but some real practical help that will make their lives a little better.

Some engage in full-time service to meet others' needs - I can't think of a better profession than this, as is to share the Gospel of Christ so that their empty, sinful hearts may also be healed & restored. This is true love shown to others.

i also suffer from residuals of several head injuries. I too have become very perceptive and can feel the pain of others whether they are present or not. I have started praying for those people. I believe God has finally gotten me to a place where I trust nobody but him. I have no strength left. My only hope is truly in Him and him alone. Just keep praying, keep trusting, keep putting your hope in Jesus alone. Remember how spoiled we have become.

Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths.

    Proverbs 3:5&6

God hath not given us the spirit of fear; But of power and of love and of a sound mind.
