Not every person is going to get married. It's not a law. Apostle Paul was never married...
"I am also a truth seeker. I am not one to declare myself wise to say that there is a right way to salvation."
So instead of the "straw people of faith" that you oppose, you see yourself "wise" in having no declaration of how and who God saves. You even quote another writer in the expectation that you are thereby justified. In fact, you have established your own idol/feeling that you take comfort in. Your description of where you stand implys that you have the truth, despite any question put to you about what it is you have. Effectively, you have, sadly, stopped seeking.
So here you are on the KJV website and when other people describe what they see from scripture on the truth of how and who God saves, you don't have to consider those words.
"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 14:12 and Proverbs 18:17 Stated twice in God's word to make it clear that the "right way" is important to God and to everyone who cares to hear what he has written, of course, except you. Blind faith is, blindness.
Connie, Are you saved of God and how has he done this for you? "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you" 1Peter 3:15
Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, that is, acknowledge that, especially the ones who labor in the word and doctrine, or teaching. For the scripture says, and there are two pieces of scripture here that Paul uses to back it up.
First of all, Deuteronomy Chapter 25 Verse 4: He says thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treads out the corn.
In 1 Corinthians Chapter 9, Paul says, "You don't think that God was talking about oxen do you?" If you have oxen treading the corn, you got to feed the oxen too, or else he's not going to be around to tread the corn for you.
The second scripture is Luke 10:7. The words of Jesus, The laborer is worthy of his reward, or hire.
So acknowledge those who labor in the word, and in doctrine, and make sure that they're taken care of.
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. ( Hebrews 13:7)
But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. ( Hebrews 13:16-17)
The formula is love the Lord God, love Jesus, and love your spouse. God is love.
There could be other ways of understanding this verse, but taking into account that God alone has created man & woman & that for each other, the ideal plan set by God for us, can only be found in the beauty of holy marriage. The verse implies that the man who finds a wife, should seek one who altogether displays the characteristics of godliness, inner beauty, humility, love & care for her family, & many more traits. He then has the blessing of the Lord upon him & his family's life, as an example of God's intended family structure set by having the Lord God at the head of his family.
Sadly, Satan has had his way with many, & even amongst Christians, where either or both parties do not adhere to God's Word, particularly by not showing understanding, love, forgiveness, seeking reconciliation, etc. to each other, & so that which is holy before the Lord continues in unhappiness & tension & maybe an eventual total breakdown. As well, this verse tells me that the Lord's Favour lies in a loving, man-woman marriage & not in any other way. The Lord cannot delight Himself in a true display of godliness in us, if we wilfully go against His Plan for a true family existence on Earth.
and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
Proverbs 18:22 | KJV
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Genesis 2:22-24 | KJV
Wives, submit you
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
I don't know what verse you speak of?
A born again person should know we are not gods. Common sense that anybody is born with, knows they aren't a god. Reprobates do think they are gods.
Jesus has given born again believers, Authority, in His Name only; to help people.
To be saved and born again; or to lay on hands, or cast out devils. He authorizes His followers.
If you hear someone preach something else, they are held accountable to God for every word of error, or idle words, that proceeds OUT of their mouth. He will take care of that.
If it happens in a church, people need to handle it as taught in the Bible. All things must be done in order.
As a believer, you must pray to God, in Jesus Name; and lay out this entire incident. By faith, you must trust it will be dealt with.
We are Jesus's flock and He is the Good Shepherd.

Psalms 91:1-9 - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

The Bible has much to say about fools. The word fool today usually means "a senseless fellow, a bad character. The biblical definition has the added dimension of "someone who disregards God's Word."
The Bible lists many characteristics of such a person, often contrasting him with one who is wise. Ecclesiastes 10:2 says, "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the FOOL to the left."
A fool is one whose wayward heart turns continually toward foolishness. "Fools speak foolishness and make evil plans" ( Isaiah 32:6).
Proverbs 26:11 says, "As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly."
Fools do not learn their lessons from the mistakes they make. They continue doing the same foolish things over and over again, to their own destruction ( Proverbs 18:7).
The following is a partial list of some characteristics of a fool from the BOOK OF
PROVERBS:
A fool hates knowledge (1:22)
Takes no pleasure in understanding (18:2)
Enjoys wicked schemes ( Proverbs 10:23)

Despises his mother (15:20). A foolish child brings grief to his or her parents (17:25; 19:13)
A foolish man commits sexual immorality (6:32; 7:7-12)
A foolish woman tears down her own house (14:1).
(The worst of all). Psalm 14:1
The fool hath said in his heart, THERE IS NO GOD. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; there is none that does good.

It builds us up in our faith, the more of these we can quote to ourselves every day, the stronger your faith in God.
The Lord tells us to Fear Not; so fear erodes our faith. Stand in faith and trust in God.
