  • Paul Ajibade I. on Philippians 3:10 - 10 years ago
Knowing JESUS CHRIST and the power of His resurrection indicates that we stopped looking at the circumstances around us I.e the difficult situations and time that we pass through and start looking unto Him that we have, knowing His worth and with the understanding that we can do all things in Him and are above every principalities no matter how much or bad we are afflicted, being ready to endure in His suffering. Let 's ask ourselves this question that, why did Apostle Paul later made this conviction " what can separate him from the love of Christ...hunger, tribulation, strife, nakedness, sword etc? He answered and said nothing, which in turns means he had finally come to realize the power of His resurrection. This conviction is worthy of emulation to the Christians of this end time generation. I pray may God help us all IJN. Amen

I desire to know my Lord more and more. Just to have salvation is good : but I want to go on and know Him better. The power of His resurrection is God: God raised Jesus from the dead : Even so when I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior I was raised from the dead. The sufferings of Christ is not easy but very rewarding : I desire to go on and know Him better every day. Praise God !!!!

This is what drives me more and more. To know Christ to the fullest. To share in His suffering, and to live in the power of His resurrection! My desire is to die more and more to the things of this world, to learn more and more of how to abide in His love and presence. I do not want to waste another moment failing to respond to the wooing of the Lover of my soul! May I die that His life may shine and radiant through me. Any suffering Imay experience is worth it if it draws me closer to know my Savior and bring glory to Him!

"And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. " Taking up a cross is for crucifying the flesh. Paul has said "O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? " He was talking about the struggle he and all born again believers deal with when it comes to wanting to do God 's will, but our flesh wants to fulfill the lusts of the old us that we are to deny daily. Things such as lasciviousness, pride, covetousness, rage, etc. To take up your cross is to seek and fulfill God 's will and not your own. To go without for righteousness sake, to make of yourself of no reputation, to keep God 's commandments instead of giving into sinful pleasure, to keep yourself from being corrupted by the things and people of this present evil generation. Christ lived a life of self denial, lowliness, affliction, temptation, living for others and bearing their burdens. He lived for the glory and approval of God and not of man. We are to do the same. It is by no means easy, but rely on his strength and take heart, for he that is in you is greater and has overcome the world. 2 Timothy 2:12 says "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: " Those that are disciples inwardly and not just outwardly are the ones that are approved of God. I delivered a message this past Sunday on this very chapter and wanted to drive home the point of looking to Christ for all things and not too get hung up on what we think we have accomplished. We have nothing to boast of. Only to boast of Christ. We have our very being and existence because of his amazing grace!!!!!!!! God bless all who read this and hope it is helpful.

This is such a great verse to remind us of the true importance of life. We have the living hope of Jesus to look forward to. We can always be reminded when things are difficult that Jesus is a prize we are guaranteed to receive! What 's done is done, we need to move forward and never live in regret or condemnation or what ifs.

The knowledge of Jesus and his power or the power that raised him from the dead, is the beginning of sight of any child of God. Nobody really knows Jesus Christ intimately or the more and remained the same. The knowledge of Jesus Christ makes the difference in any child of God 's life. I still want to know him to the power that raised from the dead, l am not yet satisfied. I want to know him the More...Lord Jesus l need to know more of you. Please you, get to know him Jesus your life will never remained the same... God bless you

Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers beware of the concision Be on the watch against dogs, against the workers of evil, against those of the circumcision. Pual was talking to the people in the church and even those that are not church, you must watch, you see there are tow types of people that come to church, 1. You have church folks and all you need to dfo is have your name on the roll and you can treat the Lord 's people anyway you want, 2. You have christain and being a christains you must be born again and when you are born again you become rightoueness and you treat people the way the Lord do,

knowing him is not abt reading about, it is about experiencing. it is having a close contact nd connecting with him daily. we know home by dwelling under his presence. in 1 Samuel 3, Samuel was serving in the temple of God by he never knew him until he decided to sleep neer the Ark of God which signifies the lords presence

Paul had left many things behind and done many things he regretted when he formerly persecuted the Christian congregation. He chose not to live in the past, but to look ahead to the future. We can learn from his example because we can 't change the past, but we do have the choice to start making good decisions for our future.

so, how do we apply this warning today? i see that in protestant churches, circumcision is replaced, disguised, as "formal membership ", or covenanting with a certain body of saints. it is a kind of cutting away, member nonmember. the nonmembers refusing to put any confidence in the flesh, even giving up the privileges attached to membership, to remain in the truth that it is christ who has made us members by the spirit, and there is no higher degree of membership to consign oneself to. but rather, faith expressed thru love.
