Aaron was obedient and wanted God to forgive them and be merciful.

I know my God is so merciful to us we know that there are things we should not be doing yet we do it any way and then when something bad happen to us we blame the Lord for it

The seven angels are ready to pour out God's wrath; the seven last plagues. Look at Numbers 16:46-50 and you will see why the censer has been thrown to the earth. The censer is thrown to the earth to protect those who believe in Jesus and to prevent all of mankind from being killed from God's wrath.

28 Then Moses said, "This is how you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea:
29 If these men die a natural death and experience only what usually happens to men, then the LORD has not sent me.
30 But if the LORD brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the grave, then you will know that these men have treated the LORD with contempt."

Wow! The LORD is so merciful to have let those in the congregation stay alive when Aaron went out. I know I couldn't have done that. But that is why He is GOD! I believe that it applies to today's people. You know you do something wrong and complain about everything. Yet, the LORD forgives you times and times again. Thank you LORD for YOUR saving grace! Shaloom my siblings in CHRIST!

If I will NOT come up By Faith to where God is calling me, the next complaint I make could be followed by a giant step DOWN!

It defeats me! Does it mean this the exact nature of man, or was it just the nature of the Israelites? So forgetful, so arrogant and non-repentant? They saw what happened to the young man fathered by a foreigner when he cursed God. The saw what happened to Miriam. They saw what happened when they carved flesh. They saw what happened to Korah and associates; they still could afford to murmur against Moses! WHAT A PEOPLE? Are we like them?

So God listened to Moses when they were in the wilderness. God knows the future. He knew that the children in the wilderness had no faith that they would be able to enter into the Canaan land.
