    HI Brother Dan.

Sorry but your comment misses the point.

We ALL Know there's different views.

But all views don't have anything to do with Christian faith.

Infact some views is an offense to the faith.

    That's why I posted 2 John 1:10-11.

How do you Interpret that verse?

HERE'S PAUL RESPONSE TO ONE THAT SUPPORTS A WORKS BASED SALVATION.

    Galatians 1:6-9.

    Galatians 3:1-29.

    How do you Interpret this?

    And this

    Matthew 7:6.

If one is preaching another Gospel How could he be Christian?

There's many views, But one truth.

I certainly don't know it all but I pray to have the courage to apply what little I do know!!

And these verses and many more seems to give value to my point.

    God bless.

    Hi AliBaba,

I just noticed your question and would be happy to share my input based on what you shared.

If you are a Christian (Christ follower) and have genuinely asked God for forgiveness I believe you are completely forgiven and that you should also forgive yourself and release any burden you carry.

However, it my opinion that you should do what you can to right wrongs, but its usually not possible to completely make up for sins (wrongs) you have commited against people that hurt them. Even if someone stole from someone and secretly sent it back anonymously after a period of time, you still never know how much harm and problems and stress that may have caused that person. I believe in doing as best as you can and making things right to the best of your ability. And I believe the next best thing one can do is forgive others. It's possible some of the victims may have known or suspected it was you and it's possible some have forgiven you.

You probably know what it's like to be hurt, and I think the next best thing you can do is 'pay it forward' by forgiving anyone who has stolen or done wrong to you in some way, either in the past, present, or future. It would show great growth and maturity to do that. I will share the Bible references related to this that come to mind:

Matthew 18:21-35 the parable of the unforgiving servant.

    Matthew 6:14, Matthew 7:2

It seems your questions are about forgiveness: of others forgiving you, you forgiving yourself, and you forgiving others. This is my opinion based on what you shared and I hope you find it useful. God bless...

Encountering people who teach Heresy or the Heresy of other religions. Not Christianity

    MATTHEW 7

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the DOGS, neither cast ye your PEARLS, before SEJNE, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. (TEAR TO PIECES)

    COMMENTARYS

    Wesley's Notes for Matthew 7:6

Here is another instance of that transposition, where of the two things proposed, the latter is first treated of. Give not - to dogs - lest turning they rend you: Cast not - to swine - lest they trample them under foot. Yet even then, when the beam is cast out of thine own eye, Give not - That is, talk not of the deep things of God to those whom you know to be wallowing in sin. neither declare the great things God hath done for your soul to the profane, furious, persecuting wretches. Talk not of perfection, for instance, to the former; not of your experience to the latter. But our Lord does in nowise forbid us to reprove, as occasion is, both the one and the other.

Brother David, put the verses below together and mediate on them in the spirit.

We are here on earth and the kingdom is within us. Christ is the body that holds the fullness of the Father, Christ is ONE with the Father, a body with LIFE in that body, we are (ONE) the body and Christ is the LIFE in the body.

Colossians 1:27 ....this MYSTERY..... CHRIST IN YOU.....

    Ephesians 4:4

    Mark 8:35

    Matthew 7:14

Christ is the SEED and the SEED, when planted, bears SEED exactly like the SEED planted. Look at the way God has made plants and animals to reproduce, after their LIKENESS. God reproduces no different than what he created reproduces. Jesus is the first (son of god), Jesus is the last (son of god).

Job 38:7 When the MORNING STARS (plural) sang together (ONE), the SONS OF GOD shouted for joy.

    Revelation 22:16

    Revelation 2:28

    God Bless You!

Hello, Jesus came everyone- do you believe this? Everyone is lost without Him. Matthew 1:21, 1 John 2:2, 1 John 3:8.

False teachers are claiming that everyone is saved regardless and you don't even need to follow Jesus or do anything at all. Some say you can enjoy yourself, commit unlimited sin, follow and worship satan, because it doesn't matter. Based on this lie, I'm sure many would enjoy using that as justification to commit sin tonight: maybe have an affair, do drugs, lie, steal, commit violence, and do whatever your heart desires, and all the things God hates. None of this info comes from the Bible. Jesus said the opposite of what people are spewing here. If Jesus was here today they would likely call Him names, like legalistic or unloving or unaccepting. People are embracing the values of the world over the God's values. Jesus warned everyone to NOT SIN and be NOT of this world. People are twisting things to justify themselves living and following the world and assume they are saved when they are not. The end will be exactly as Jesus predicted: Matthew 7:21.

People at least can't say they weren't warned. But the false teachings about people saying there's no hell, no sin, no this or that is all lies. It's like the devil himself posting lies. A lot of cherrypicking and scripture ignoring must happen to make such a conclusions and it begs the question if everyone is already saved then why read the Bible or spread the gospel if what they say is true? Really sad to see that on a Bible site where 1 click away God's word debunks it. God bless...

Jesus saves those who choose to follow Him and sadly most will stubbornly not follow Him. Deniers of Jesus aren't following Him. People who love sin are not following Him. Do you disagree?

Sadly, we're not all equal in the end.

Luke 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Those are Jesus's words. Do you believe Jesus or deny Jesus? Jesus gave warnings throughout his whole ministry. He died for everyone and everyone has an opportunity to follow Jesus, but most don't. False teachings spread here are reinforcing people to continue in sin rather than follow Jesus. It's really sickening to see. I feel very bad for the souls lost and for those deceived by the lies.

Why are so many people falsely claiming everyone is "saved" when Jesus clearly says that's NOT true? Where does such a belief even come from- a man- or God's Word.

Matthew 7:22 - this says many won't make it and they even consider themselves followers. Do you believe or deny Matthew 7:22?

Salvation is at stake and Jesus says you should fear the one who can send you to hell. If someone is following Jesus then you can have assurance of salvation, but if not, you can have assurance of hell. This seems to upset people here and its quite perplexing, because that literally is the gospel. The good news is that Jesus loves you enough to die from you and spare you from hell, but you must stop sinning and follow Him! The only explanation to why people just can't embrace what the Bible says is that this is a spiritual battle, people have hard hearts, and people's own pride has not fully let them accept what Jesus said in Luke 13:24.

My wish is for everyone to read the Bible carefully, especially the gospels and pray for wisdom and understanding. This will help clear out the noise and falsehoods people like to spread. God bless.

I hope you're not feeling attacked, "faithful are the wounds of a friend." Proverbs 27:5-6, I believe we are all still learning, just because we believed something to be true or false previously doesn't mean we always will. The HOLY Spirit is still teaching all of us. The scriptures that are stirring in me the most while reading your discussion are Matthew 7:13-23, Matthew 25:29-30, Matthew 25:31-46, I pray GOD will give us wisdom in these matters. IS SALVATION CONDITIONAL OR UNCONDITIONAL

Romans 5:8 For God commendeth his love for us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

No conditions were put on man to be save, it's a gift of God. You were saved before you were ever born and before you ever sinned. ( Romans 9:11)

Grace is Grace and Mercy is Mercy.

Revelation 22:12 And behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as HIS WORK shall be.

Matthew 7:22 .... have we not done many wonderful WORKS

Matthew 7:22 ..... depart from me ye workers of iniquity .... this is man's reward, for man's work...

    Boniface,

God did work a wonder in bringing forth our country. Our country offers an individual the greatest freedoms of any country in the history of the world. We should hope to preserve it and make it better than what it has regressed to become.

I am dismayed by the hatred aimed against our country and the strong and good foundations on which it was built. I pray tat God can bring revival to our country and set it aright once again to be a shining beacon of hope (the gospel) and "light" (of Christ) to the world. I remember President Ronald Reagan well the way he uplifted the view of our country in a positive and helpful way. May God raise up a President for us who will be led by righteous principles and faith in God.

Our country was created by much blood, sweat, and tears. It has been preserved by much blood, sweat, and tears. It may need to be restored by much blood, sweat, and tears, as well. Let us labor in prayer for our country.

Do not give away what is most precious to those who would destroy it.

Our country is precious to us, so let's not give it away to those who hate it and want it destroyed.

If we do, they will end up tearing us and our civilization apart.

Tell this to all those liberal "Christians" who support open borders!

Christians have a decision to make: whether to trust and follow God's morals or the world's morals? Christianity (folllowing Jesus) isn't a one time event, but a lifelong pursuit. 1 Corinthians 9:24. It says to run the race (effort); it doesn't say the race is already finished. Some get off course and don't care.

Some Christians follow God's morals only to the point where it conflicts with the world's morals, then proceed with the world's morals instead. The result is following the world ( 1 John 2:15).

Despite Acts 2:38 saying to be baptized, some say "don't" be baptized.

Despite John 14:6 saying to go to Jesus, some say to go through a 'prophet' or pope.

Despite James 4:17 saying to avoid sin, some claim it's bad and 'legalism' to avoid sin.

Despite Psalm 139:13 saying unborn babies are special, some claim killing them is ok.

Despite Ezra 7:13 saying people have freewill, some claim they "don't" have freewill.

Despite Matthew 7:13 saying most people will go to hell, some say most will "not" go to hell.

Despite Matthew 10:28 warning us about hell, some say "there is no hell."

Despite 1 Timothy 2:12 saying women shouldn't teach, some say they "should."

Despite Leviticus 20:13 saying homosexuality is a sin, some say it's "not" a sin.

Despite John 15:10 saying to obey, some say it's ok to "not" obey.

Despite John 1:1 saying Jesus (the Word) is God, some say Jesus is "not" God.

Despite 1 John 5:7 saying 3 are one, some say the 3 are "not" one.

The rationalizing pattern seems to be: "No, the Bible doesn't say [what it actually says], but says [something I'm more comfortable with]". This format seems awfully similar to Genesis 3:4 where satan says "Ye shall NOT surely die." Satan is called the father of lies for a reason and some Christians assume they are immune to it.

Rationalizing the world's morals over God's morals seems to require ignoring scripture. Does anyone agree?

So, should we follow God's Word or man's word (which might be satan's word)?

    God bless...

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

We must pay attention to those who engage to cause discord rather to build up.

Paul says in Romans 16:17. Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

What you're dealing with is demonic. Unbelievers don't know they've been taken hostage.

Believers know they've been snared. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can break the ties that bind us. We pray and ask for HELP to break the bonds and be freed. We do that by depending upon what Jesus did on the Cross to set us free. He paid in blood. Satan nor demons have AUTHORITY to cross that blood and take a Christian captive. Whom the Son sets free, is free Indeed.

Faith in Christ stands up and takes that authority back! Ephesians 6. The Helmet of Salvation. Start pleading the blood of Jesus when THE TEMPTER shows up. The more scripture you know__the more ammo you have to shoot back at the evil. Read about Jesus 40 day fast after his baptism. "IT IS WRITTEN_____ " you fill in that blank with a verse, like He did. This could be useful. "You (us) shall know the truth, and the truth sets us free." I'm thinking that: Not people, but spirits are on assignment in a room dedicated to Gods Word: the King James Bible.

So like last night I was about to go to bed, and the Holy Spirit said "contention".

If we read Psalms enough, we will see that King David occasionally was victim temporarily to sadness, anger at enemies, King Sauls relentless pursuit and many other issues. We work this stuff out by prayer and sometimes speaking the truth in the spirit of love, for the brethren.

    Hi Brother Rick,

Over the years, various biblical scholars and language experts disagree on the interpretation as a gift or favor. (You can easily research this subject.)

I believe God's promise as "a favor" simply because we are instructed by Jesus and all of the apostles including Paul, throughout the scriptures to follow Christ, repent from sin, be baptized, and follow God's 10 commandments, to produce good fruit/works.

Brother Rick, you state you will stick with the scriptures, then you will agree we must take some action too - to receive our salvation!

Here again is apostle Paul "King of Faith" speaking that "we must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling". This takes Action on our part! There are many more verses throughout the bible instructing us "to take action" if we wish to receive our salvation.

    Philippians 2:12

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

So, we must "work out our own salvation", there is no FREE TICKET!

If we are Born Again, we must experience a change! Our old selves should die, and we will live differently, by making a conscience effort to follow God's 10 Commandments and refrain from living sinful lives.

Based on the scriptures, the act of "just believing" does not accomplish salvation. The easiest way to fail, is to say "I can just believe" and continue to live my sinful life and I will receive my salvation. Many people believe this false doctrine and I would suggest they read this scripture below, and think about where their own salvation stands today!

    Matthew 7:14

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

Happy Sabbath Day, and God Bless.

1 Peter 3:15 says to always be ready to defend the faith.

2 Corinthians 10:5 and Titus 1:9 and Matthew 7:15 suggests that we are to challenge false teachings.

This should be done in love and respect for others. It appears that some want to be able to post their various opinions to challenge others, but don't seem unwilling and perhaps not secure enough to have their ideas challenged. They seem to want to dominate with their falsehoods, but act offended and retreat in the slightest questioning of their assumptions. Some interpret even the most benign questions as argumentative or unloving, which seems to protect their narrative.

For example some don't believe John 1:1 is true. It's a strange distortion of the Word that seems only recently to have gained traction among fringe groups. We know that anyone contradicting scripture is not speaking Words from God, and if it's not from God, it should be obvious who its coming from. But many are so convinced in their own mind that all scripture viewed through that narrow lens offers confirmation bias, even though the belief itself is self-contradictory.

A Christian is a Christ follower who believes Jesus is Lord. Jesus is God. Not a separate God, not Father God, but God the Son, and He's part of the truine God. It says this clearly in John 1:1 and many other scriptures. But just because people have a hard time comprehending how He can be a Son and have a Father who is also God and also be 'one', doesn't mean people should invent human reasoning that departs from the scriptures to explain their worldview. That's where people start making up stuff and disregarding lots of scripture. Then if they don't believe in Jesus's divinity, and don't believe Jesus is Lord, then one might ask, are they then a Christian?

John 20:28 - if someone reads this and says Jesus isn't God and isn't Lord, are they being honest with themselves?

The Pharisees also didn't believe Jesus was who He said He was. They thought He was blaspheming by calling Himself God through "I AM" statements, and they wanted to kill Him.

We should pray for wisdom and understanding and stay in God's Word. God bless.

Hello, it really doesn't matter what man thinks, but what God says, correct? So, if you believe and trust God then go with God's word. Here's the problem: people are falsely assuming they're 'saved' before they're even judged. It doesn't say in the Bible we're saved before we're judged, but after. The judgment is to determine salvation. So, you have many here claiming they can't lose their salvation. But that won't occur until after this life. So, they are taking verses that are for that and assuming they apply now. But read the Word closely, Paul said we can have assurance of salvation. Not that we're saved and can do whatever we want with no consequence. Paul said to run the race to get the prize. But people here are thinking he said 'you already have the prize, so don't run any race, and enjoy the world.' It says don't conform to the world.

Matthew 12:32 "...but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."

    Matthew 7:21-23

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

    Hebrews 6:4-6

James 2:14-26 "...faith, if it hath not works, is dead..."

James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."

1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"

    Romans 11

John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

    Matthew 12:31-32

    Romans 14:12

1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

1 Cor 9:24-27 "run the race", not the 'race was already won.'

    Hi Sarah.

Lets put this verse in context.

In the previous verses the Lord is speaking of false teachers and how to identify them. -

Matthew 7:15-21. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

In verse 22 he gives the contrast of the deceptive vain works of those mentioned.

If you noticed the Lord never challenged them in their proclaimed works

    The Emphasis is being deceived!

He said I NEVER knew you.

You see in the scripture unbelievers prophesying.

EXAMPLE: John 11:49-51. And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

    And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

This group in verse 22 was NEVER saved!

Jesus says I NEVER new you.

It's not what you know, It's who you know and who knows you!

John 10:26-28. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

( MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, AND I KNOW THEM, and they follow me:)

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Your fruit reflects what has been changed on the inside.

    God bless.

Thank you so much. I went back to Matthew 7 and reread verse 22 and I see it now. This will trach me to slow down and notice what I am reading a lot closer. I appreciate that you answered so quickly.

"Casting out Satan" . A witness who loves Christ and His words will do much more than cast out satan. You are not of the world, if you are a true believer in the gospel, you will cast out even demons! Unaware you may be of these things, you are bringing a soul closer to His redeemer! Opening the eyes, that live in darkness! You are a child of God!

    God Bless you Sarah!
