  • Power of Praise and Song - In Reply on Matthew 25:40 - 5 years ago
In my experience, the Lord inhabits the praises and songs of His people. I believe in the power of praise.

I get healed and revved up, all at the same time.

I think we all should sign that petition. The attorney filing against this motion against the churches is Jay Sekulo: attorney to President Trump.

There's another petition for people who want choice for schools, for their kids. Parents choose what school they want their kids to attend. The states will have to adjust funding for violent schools that are dangerous for anyone to attend. It's not meant to hurt the people. It's meant to NOT keep throwing money away on a broken school system. It's meant to finally see schools improve as students and teachers pull out of this void of never having funds to improve school experience.

My grandson attends a public Christian school that is Choice funded. He learns a Bible scripture every day. The environment is safe; great Christian teachers; lots of outings to museums to learn of all the sciences; exposure to an environment that is able to lift up Jesus. I think it is great. God says: Choose + Life

So that you and your children may live.

These verses came to mind after writing the comment above.

    Hebrews13:10-13

We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

Lazarus the poor man also remained without the gate until he died and was comforted in Abraham's bosom. :)

I love that the Lamb of God was fully nonresistant for (my good purpose as a thief on the cross) near his five wounds. I can sing this love in my heart and visible life no matter the world's directions.
  • Don39t Stop Singing in Our Chuches on Matthew 25:40 - 5 years ago
I hope it's ok to send a request to everyone in here who cares about church freedoms.

I might remind that when the church was all fascinated by the launch to the moon, they didn't notice the old lady atheist that got the Bible, commandments and prayer kicked out of public schools.

Right now there is a Mandate being presented to our Congress, from the state of California:

TO STOP SiNGING in all Churches in the USA. Supposedly again it is for the safety of those who might be "exposed" to the virus as people sing. It is a violation of Christians first amendment rights.

So please exercise your rights to sign a Petition to Stop This Action before it is entered into Congress's calendar. Spread it around if you can.

Evil men prosper when good men do nothing. (Bible)

ACLJ.ORG Find the petition links. Thanks all.

Let's Sing like our boots are on fire! (It's a Texas saying Lol)

Otis, the closest verse I could find is in Genesis 1:29:

"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."

This was at the time when both man & animals were vegetarian in their diet. Then from chapter 9:3, mankind (i.e. from Noah onwards) it seems was authorized to eat meat. However, some Jews hold that God gave this permission grudgingly, but I don't understand the Scripture in this way. And I suppose, from those animals which were herbivorous, some of them became carnivores: but there's no Scripture to show that.

Another meaning to the 10 virgin parable is.

5 were ready and 5 were not. They were not ready for Christs kinda like a suprise visit.or return

He says 'No one knows when I return'

Its best to be ready for the surprise visit, and on the look out..

The Parable of the 10 Virgins I believe is Symbolic of Purity and the "Church". They were pure, they all was sleeping when the bridegroom came! I believe this represents our sleeping "Church" today! The 5 that was wise brought their oil for their lamps and was prepared and waiting for the arrival of the Bridegroom. The 5 foolish was caught unprepared and had no oil for their lamps! The OIL represents the ANOINTING! The wise was was anointed and prepared and expecting the Beidegroom anytime! He came he took them and closed the door! Dont be caught without the Anointing of the Holy Spirit, you will be left behind, because He will say Depart from me, I never knew you...

    1 Corinthians 3:9-15

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

    Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for THE DAY shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a REWARD.

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself SHALL BE SAVED, yet so as by fire.

    COMMENT:

Question we ask ourselves honestly: what are we building with?

Are we building up the Body of Christ?

Jesus: we are to be imitating; doing. If we can't Go Ye, then maybe equip those that are? Commit to pray for the workers of the Harvest? Luke 10:2

    Isaiah 61:1-3, Psalm 147:1-3, Luke 4:18-21

    Matthew 25: 31-46

This is a beautiful testimony and prophecy of Christ's love for his people. "Virgins" are considered (the church) or people in Christ. See Matthew 25:1-13. Verse 2 and 3 proclaims Christ's love and having a relationship with Christ is health and healing to us wholly and is better than wine! Verse 4 is expressed being drawn nearer to Christ, through His "love invitation" and acceptance. Those who receives his invitation and love will run after him and will be glad and rejoice in him, and will remember his love more than wine: the upright love him.
  • John - In Reply on 1 Timothy 2:4 - 5 years ago
    2. The words 'Eternity', and 'forever' is a mistranslation that comes from the word 'aion' which means Age, or age abiding, age lasting, or into the ages, not eternity.

If the word aion was translated to eternity every time its used in scripture, it might sound like it works for some verses, but if you consistantly translate it eternity there are many verses that would make no sense.

    Matthew 25:46

And these will go away to eternal (age lasting) punishment, but the righteous to eternal (age lasting) life

    1 Corinthians 3:18

If anyone thinks he is wise in this eternity (age), let him become a fool so that he may become wise.

    3. We don't have true 'Free will' to choose God

There is the will of the flesh, and the will of Christ

You either walk by the spirit, or you walk by the flesh.

    Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

    John 1:12-13

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

So God is the one that allows us to believe in him, we get no credit. We cannot boast that we chose God because we didn't, he chose us. That verse plainly states that.

So how can we say men will be subject to eternal damnation when God didn't allow them to believe in him? God is all loving right? And all powerful, so he has a system in place in which he will purify all men through fire, all will be saved.

God Also hardened Pharaohs heart, which left Pharaoh with no free choice to let the people go. If man had free will; God could not override their will, but he does.

    Exodus 4:21

And the Lord said to Moses, "When you go back to Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the miracles that I have put in your power. But I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go.

The oil for the lamps is the Holy Spirit.

The bridegroom took the virgins that had their oil lamps full and the went to the marriage supper. Matthew 25:1-12

Like Noah's ark, THE DOOR WAS SHUT.

Verse 11: Lord, Lord, open to us!

Verse 12: He opens the door and says,

    I KNOW YOU NOT.

Sounds similar to some other stories, like:

Didn't we prophesy in your name? Cast out demons in your name? Chapter 7 verses 21-23.

Clearly this indicating mid-trib. Scripture writes that after the dead in Christ are raised, then those alive in Christ, will go with Him to a marriage supper as the Bride of Christ.

Enter the Antichrist to begin his reign of terror. One world money, one world religion, one world government. Sorta like game of thrones but it's not a game.

Why not skip it and be born again NOW?

Will YouTube steal away your first Love?

Will you be captured by wizards that peep and mutter (remember AOL days; logging online?) Isaiah heard that maybe.

Stay true to your first love.

As disciples of Jesus, we are supposed to be reaching out to the lost. You can do that here, if you can spare time from dissecting doctrine. I mean no harm. I say it longingly.
  • Robert Marino - In Reply on Matthew 24:38 - 5 years ago
Wow dude. Awesome! We WILL go through tribulation and anyone teaching otherwise will be seen as a false teacher/prophet/pastor when the time comes.

Why do we need oil in Matthew 25:1-13? Oil is need to make light. Why do we need light? It is going to get really dark for the true believers.

Matthew 24 and 25 are for the 70 AD generation and our generation. The Christians at the time living in Jerusalem and those in the 7 churches of Asia Minor needed to read these things for during their time to encourage them to not give up just as Jesus said to be ready in our time. It's a Dual Prophecy. Mostly fulfilled in the first century, partially fulfilled in all centuries after and will climax like a mother giving birth in our last generation.

Can you take my poll on my new youtube channel?

I wold appreciate it if you could and anyone else you can get to take it. It takes about 2 minutes to fill out.

In Luke 16 vs 22-31 the message is clear - there is no way to escape the burning lake of fire. By accepting and following Jesus, one escapes being THROWN into the burning lake of fire - a big difference.
  • Steve - In Reply on Matthew 25:46 - 5 years ago
The Bible's overall message is perfect. There have been some mistakes in copying and translating, but they are not big enough or important enough to discount the overall text! And NO, THERE IS NO CONTRADITION IN THE SCRIPTURES! If you think there is, I guarantee you are either taking something out of context or misinterpreting it. Go ahead, try to prove me wrong, you won't.

Reading Ezekiel 28:12-19, Matthew 25:41, Hebrews 2:14 and Revelation 20:10, it is apparent that the end of Satan is destruction in the lake of fire. There is no savior for fallen angels. Thank the LORD that he so loved us and provided his Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for our sin.

Please read Luke 16, especially vs 22, about Lazarus and the rich man. An example of eternal torment. There is no way to escape the burning lake of fire.
  • Steven - In Reply on Matthew 25 - 5 years ago
When it says the wicked shall be "destroyed", (i.e. ruined) it refers to the fact that every bit of our EARTHLY LIFE will be "destroyed" i.e. wiped out, forgotten, ruined, thrown OUT. Keeping that in mind, they will be thrown out into outer darkness (verse 30 above) and everlasting fire (verse 41) Remember, this is King James era (AD. 1611) English. Death does not mean extinction of existence.

"Friendly' Most non-believers I know actually all of them I know personally have had serious tragic painful experiences. Difficult situations that most people have not had to endure, therefore the basic answers from many people are not sufficient. Religious arguments don't heal injustice, pain, suffering or the like.
What's amazing is God hates hypocrisy too.
    Matthew 25:32 -46
Jesus was a light to the world, a healer, helper, & loved us all so much that He endured beating , people spitting in His face, plucking His beard, cruel mockings & crucifixion for us all. Psalms 22 is prophetic to what Jesus would suffer before His birth
History has documented this outside of the Bible also

Hi, Pastor, I'm a sheep. In response to your comment & questions. I picture Jesus over turning the tables Matthew 21:12 , I believe it wasn't just for that day. Matthew 21:13 , TODAY some ''Churches'' have books, merchandise, purchasable resources, purchasable Bible studies, expensive retreats, concerts etc. It is very difficult for some people to afford these, therefore leaving several out of the ''family'' events. James 1:27
When someone is in need, they have no choice to be in subjection to usury or do without. Matthew 25:31-46
I hope this is helpful & opens your heart to another perspective.

For a long time I felt guilty, I had been walking in Sin when it happened but after Confessing and being Forgiven and Forgiving I had Peace and now every time Satan trys to Condem me I Remember when we Confess our Sins we are Forgiven and that when we Follow Jesus we will be Persecuted. Satan doesnt worry about those who dont Walk with Jesus or dont Care about others only those who show Jesus Love in Words and Actions this really bugs him he didnt Win. Matthew 25:31-40.

Hi Bob, I read Martin Luthers Biography yes he did die in 1546 and I agree with his understanding of Gods Truth that we cant earn our Salvation but we will show we have it as confirmed by Jesus in Matthew 25:31-46 The Changes He made in his Translation were no doubt to confirm what he believed was true but I will check again on the Website that claimed he was wrongly changing Scripture. I have mostly Worshiped in other Protestant Churches so do not know much about his Reformation only that he rejected the Heresy in the Roman Catholic Church which is good, that is why I found it hard to accept he would agree with the Apocrypha it does contridict Gods Truth as we see in Jude about the Angels.
