Gregory Simons: Matthew 22:36-40 tells us that ALL 10 commandments are in effect. The first 4 commandments are about loving and obeying God, the last 6 commandments are about loving our fellow man.
When God gave the commandments to Moses on Mt. Siani He told him to hew two stones ( Exodus 34:1) On 1 stone of the 10 commandments God writes the commandments about obeying God, on the 2nd stone are the that last 6 commandments which pertain to loving our fellow man...
You will find all of the commandments in the NT, they are not laid out like in Exodus 20

The way I see it in Ezekiel 41 this temple is of the Lord that is during the 1,000 year reign of Christ for those who died in Childbirth or abortions. They have the opportunity to have faith in Christ or animal sacrifices choice.
Isaiah 11:6 children playing with dangerous snakes and no hurt.
in Isaiah 11:7 the Lion will eat straw so this is future event
Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God IN HEAVEN. in the kingdom if there is no marriage where do kids come from?
They were likely aborted and given a chance to grow up.
The Temple the jews build is for the antichrist till they understand the wrong messiah.

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
Galatians:10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. (11) I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

I believe after the Rapture that married couples will know each other. We will have discarded our fleshly bodies for spiritual bodies that don't corrupt. We're going to a party for the Lamb; the Bride will meet her Bridegroom.
As I have read but not sure where, people who miss the rapture will of course have to survive 3 1/2 Years of pure hell on earth with a very mad Antichrist who demands your head. If you die saved during that time you'll join the rapture group. If you get saved & survive the 3&1/2years, their bodies won't be transformed & they will have kids.
Question? Is your First love, Jesus Christ?
Trust God. Trust in the Word.

  • Betty - In Reply on Matthew 22 - 5 years ago
David, I believe you're right that our purpose is to share the good news of Jesus. Some (like Paul) can do this better if they're single, while others (like Peter) can spread the good news better if they're married. Just as each of us is called to bring others to Jesus through various vocations (some through music, some through art, some through sports, etc.), we each need to ask God your question about marraige. Jesus spoke of some making themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of God, but recognized that not all could do this. So we need to find out from God if we can better accomplish the work he sent us to earth to do married to a certain person, and whether it should be a celibate union.

Stanjett - Yes. What reason does anyone have to overwrite the new testament with the old? God ordered His Word the way he did for a reason. That reason is for us to follow It in HIS ORDER.
I think Jesus cleared up any and all confusion over Mosaic Law with these verses in Matthew 22:

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
    >> 40 On these two commandments hang ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS. <<

When we except Christ the anointed one as our LORD AND SAVIOR to get into HEAVEN. What is our job now as a Christian here on earth? To bring others into the KINGDOM of LIGHT?? Is it to avoid the lust of flesh, eyes, pride of life?? What is the main purpose now? To remain single or marry? Please help me out I do not understand. Some people say we can truly enjoy life others have told me... "we must deny flesh and our desires daily and live for the LORD"

    True not really new commandments
Someone asked Jesus what was the most important commandment.
Matthew 22:36 - Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37 - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 - This is the first and great commandment.

Mat 22:39 - And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40 - On these two commandments hang ALL the law and the prophets.
    Yet
Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

JESUS quoted verse 1-14 above, and we see JESUS mind is on SALVATION for each of us thereby being in the KINGDOM OF GOD. Notice the one who failed to meet the standard for being in the KINGDOM therefore that person who is bind hand and foot and taken away, and cast into outer darkness where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Hopefully we enough sense to know that we are not to love the enemies of God and have them as neighbors.
Maybe we should move if you have satanists as neighbors?

Thank You Joe. I finally realized that these last days have been so dark that the darkness seemed to be swallowing me up. I came across a song "Master the Tempest is Raging" by Acapeldridge on Youtube. I know that Devils are on the rise since the time is short but I am in this race for the long haul and Jesus is my prize. God Bless

Know ye not that we shall judge Angels how much more things that pertain to this life.

The Jews are still God's chosen people. But, having rejected the true Messiah, Jesus, the gospel is gone now to the Gentiles. Until the time of the gentiles are fulfilled the eyes of the Jews are blinded. Not that a Jewish person can't be saved. But they are willingly blind as to Jesus being the Messiah. They will recognize Him as the One whom they pierced at His second advent.
  • Kerry on Matthew 22 - 5 years ago
This is likely the wrong place to ask, but I heard from a Jewish man that they do not believe either, 1-in Jesus,or 2-that he was not resurrected, I can't remember now which, but I have read that the Jewish people ARE God's chosen children, yet how can this be if either 1 or 2 from above is correct? KJV says to be saved we MUST believe in Jesus, which I do, but Jewish doctrine is confusing me.

When we get to heaven we wil be in a different form, but we will know who our family members there are, even the ones who died before we were born. We will know who everyone there is. I dont think we will look at them as my current spouse or parent or sibling, but one thing I know we definitely will be fellowshipping and rejoicing with them.

Gale Myers, I am so happy to have helped you. You will not be lost. Yes, we are almost there, the Lord is so close. May the Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Bless you my friend. Isaiah 46:4 And even to your old age I am he and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Thank you Ann. I agree with you. I am getting old. I am past 80 now and sometimes I can't remember WHY I believe the things I believe. Thanks again. Hold my hand tight Jesus. We are close to home. I don't want to get lost now.

Gale Myers, I believe we will know everyone. The rich man in hell knew Lazarus in Abraham's bosom. Also, the rich man in hell knew Abraham even though they had never met. Family relationships are for here and now. If marriage was forever a widow or widower would not be allowed to remarry.
  • Gale Myers on Matthew 22 - 5 years ago
Matthew 22: 30 seems to say that the family relationships we have now will not be continued in heaven. I do not dispute that, but I am a little confused by it. Many of us look forward to seeing our parents, our spouces, our children and grand children. Can you make this a little more clear for me?
