The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. These scriptures are evidence of all 3 persons of the Godhead speaking to each other.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and GODHEAD so that they are without excuse:"

    Genesis 1:1

    The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.

All working together. Jesus came to show us the Father, as Emmanuel.

    Matthew 1:23

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US. [Jesus]

1 Corinthians 12:1-31 explains all the gifts, titled, administrations that God gives to the Church that Jesus has planted on earth Now.

Those that He calls, he anoints for the work. Luke 4:18. The Bible says the gifts and callings are without revocation. If we try to operate without the Holy Spirits anointing; we will not bear good fruit. Can even become apostate.

It's not something to treat carelessly. The Head of the Church is Jesus Christ. All parts of the Body are connected to Jesus.

1 Timothy 3:16 KJV - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Matthew 1:23 KJV - Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

John 1:1-3 KJV - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Isaiah 9:6 KJV - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Revelation 19:11-16 KJV - And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Colossians 2:8-9 KJV - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Hebrews 1:8 KJV - But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:

    Hi Rick,

I'd keep reading. Seek the truth and open yourself to learn who God really is and what He will reveal to you. Pray for wisdom and understanding. I wouldn't stop after one section and make conclusions before you take the entire context of the Bible into account. There are logical explanations for your questions.

For your food question if you continued reading you would have naturally found Acts 10. There is much more info in the New Testament about what law applies today, because there is moral law, civil law, and ceremonial law. The latter two were specific to Israelites. You would also read a verse like this: Matthew 5:17-20

Regarding your other questions you would eventually read verses like these:

    1 John 5:7-8

    John 1:1

    Genesis 1:26

    Genesis 11:6-7

    John 10:30

    John 8:19

    Philippians 2:5-8

    2 Corinthians 5:19

    John 1:3

    Matthew 28:19

    1 Peter 1:2

    2 Corinthians 13:14

    Deuteronomy 6:4

    John 14:10

    John 20:28

    1 John 2:22-24

    Isaiah 7:14

    Matthew 1:23-25

    Hebrews 1:8

    Isaiah 44:6

    John 1:18

Some OT prophesy of Jesus to come:

    Isaiah 7:14

    Psalms 72:9-10

    Micah 5:2

    Numbers 24:17

    Genesis 22:18

    Hi Jim,

You initiated a reply to me. I'm not sure how interested you are in my belief, but I am happy to dialogue with you as long as it is respectful and grounded in the truth of God's word, not man's opinion. You shared scripture which is great, I believe all the scripture you shared, but I don't believe your interpretation of it. I believe you have misinterpreted it and I can be very specific to the exact reasons why for each point if you are genuinely open to it. For the scripture you shared there is more scripture that says Jesus is God. He's not God the Father, but God the Son. I believe this, because the scripture says this, not because of feelings, bias, or agenda, but because it literally says Jesus is God in John 1:1. Do you believe John 1:1?

Your comment began with a question not about the trinity as the Bible says in 1 John 5:7. But your question wasn't about what the Bible says in 1 John 5:7, but the word 'trinity'. Since we don't know each other I don't know your motive for saying that, but I can say that some others use it as a common straw man argument to deceive others in order to discredit Jesus. The word the "Bible" isn't in the Bible either, so is it not a Bible? The word used in 1 John 5:7 is the three are 'one', so if you can use that if you don't like the word trinity.

    John 1:1

    1 John 5:7

    Genesis 1:26

    Genesis 11:6-7

    John 10:30

    John 8:19

    John 1:1

    Philippians 2:5-8

    2 Corinthians 5:19

    John 1:3

    1 John 5:7

    Matthew 28:19

    1 Peter 1:2

    2 Corinthians 13:14

    Deuteronomy 6:4

    John 14:10

    John 20:28

    1 John 5:8

    1 John 2:22-24

Isaiah 7:14 - Jesus is called Immanuel which means "God with us"

    Matthew 1:23-25

Hebrews 1:8 "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."

Isaiah 44:6 - Lord is King of Israel, Besides me there is no God.

"Sons of God" isn't THE Son of God.

    Do you believe these verses?

    Deuteronomy 22

The first verses of this chapter 1-12 are rules on taking care of a neighbor's animal; men and women's regulations for dressing; how to sow seeds; and ploughing.

The focus on verses 12-29 is related to relations between men and women; and the judgments to be rendered on certain behaviors. We see as in Matthew 5:31 the so called "exception clause" which is likely related to betrothal since that is what caused Joseph to contemplate divorcing the woman he was betrothed to in Matthew 1:19.

It is clear from this chapter that a married woman who was correctly assessed not to be a virgin at the inception of a marriage after being accused by her husband was to be put to death (v.21); and this sentence was to be done for a betrothed woman and the man having relations with her (v. 23-24).

When the betrothed woman was innocent because she protested at the actions of rape of the man; he was to be stoned; and she was innocent (v. 25-27).

In the case of a woman not betrothed; after relations occur a payment was to be made to the father of the woman and he was to marry her. He also could not "put her away all of his days". (v. 29). This same rule was to be for the woman innocent of the accusations of the new husband at the consummation of the marriage (v. 17-19). He could not divorce her. This would surely seem to indicate that when a marriage wasn't tangled with these accusations the same rule would apply; in other words; a marriage was for life. It is interesting that even with David and Solomon among others having hundreds of wives (and concubines); divorce is never mentioned even with multiple wives in many cases. These scriptures don't indicate a woman initiating fornication or being the accusers here; but both parties are involved in ramifications when vows are made.

The last verse relates to not having relations with a father's wife; clearly demonstrated as a death penalty in other scriptures. (v. 30).

    Jocelynne Bell,

Only the Father knows the day Jesus will return, Mark 13:32, we are told to watch Matthew 25:13. How do we know Jesus died in the first place, we look back, God said 100s of years before it would happen. Isaiah 7:14 Scripture points to how he will be born, and also to one of the names given to Christ: Immanuel, Matthew 1:23. Micah 5:2 This scripture tells where He will be born and from what tribe, which was Judah, Matthew 2:5 Luke 2:4.

Psalm 22:7-8 This scripture tells how they will ridicule Him, Matthew 27:40-43. Psalm 22:16-18 the same refers to the actual crucifixion of Christ, Matthew 27:35,39,41,49. Isaiah 53:5 tells they will pierce Him for our transgressions, and by his wounds, we are healed, John 19:34.

I could list more scripture that was written 100s of years before that is clear that it was Jesus our savior that was told of before and what would happen to Him, and we can be sure He will return the same way as He ascended Acts 1:10-11 Revelation 1:7

God bless and have faith; If prophecy told it would happen 100s of years before and it happened have no doubt it is true. He is coming back and will set the kingdom upon the earth.

No he is like God. Although God head 3 in 1 can have a interpretation for some father, son(jesus), holy spirit to be 1. God created Jesus and sent his only begotten son to die for our sins because he knew our sin was great but his love was even greater. . So no I would say he's not God for the most part .

Here are a few scriptures to help point towards truth in this question:

Genesis 1:1-8, creation of heavens or heaven aka Universe.

Genesis 1:14-19 GOD created the lights within the heavens/universe Earth's Moon & Sun, the galaxies, stars

2 Peter 3:8, I take this scripture also in consideration when trying to calculate.

Genesis 5:1-5, (Adam), Genesis 5:6-8, (Seth), Genesis 5:9-11 (Enos), Genesis 5:12-14 (Cainan), Genesis 5:15-17 (Mahalaleel), Genesis 5:18-20 (Jared), Genesis 5:21-24 (Enoch), Genesis 5:25-27 (Methuselah), Genesis 5:28-31 (Lamech), Genesis 5:32 beginning of Noahs days. Genesis 9:28-29, (Noah) , these all can be calculated

Genesis 10, goes from Noah's sons into historical events, which are more difficult to calculate. Then picks up again at Genesis 10:29 (Abram) aka Abraham. Genesis 11 also has calculatable ages.

    Matthew 1:17,

To add to the difficulty in exact dates the beginning of the year changed for the Hebrews in Exodus 12:2,18,27, which is celebrated in Spring. In todays calendar is usually 3rd or 4th month of our calendar.

Hopefully these are helpful in your study.

Where in the Bible is the genealogy Mary, Jesus' mother? To answer your question, we look at Matthew 1:1 -16 the genealogy of Jesus from Abraham to Joseph the husband of Mary the mother of Jesus. I believe this is the first record that tells Mary as Jesus' mother. The genealogy of Jesus in Luke 3: 23 -38 is to show man and woman that Jesus is the son of man.

Before Jesus was born, God existed eternally as three Persons in One Being (the Godhead). When the appointed time on earth came, God the Father sent His Son to earth to redeem us by taking on human flesh but still retaining His divinity in this new person, Jesus. So, Jesus is the eternal Son of God made flesh for our salvation. The humanity of Jesus had a beginning at His miraculous conception, but the Son of God lived forever prior to becoming Jesus. It is more theologically correct to say: that Jesus is God and man in one Person; that the Son of God is eternally God, The Father is eternally God, and the Holy Spirit is eternally God. Together, these three persons are God together in One Being. Hope this helps.

    Hello, Mishael.

Jesus' resurrected body was flesh and bones, as stated in Matt. 24:38-39. The disciples recognized Him. This tells me that we will be resurrected and have bodies like Jesus has, that are immortal and uncorrupted. Made perfect and glorified.

I believe that we will recognize each other and also see Jesus with His glorified flesh and bones body.

But, then again, we shall see, won't we! It will be marvelous in what every way God has determined! Can't wait to get there!

Hello, Jesus came everyone- do you believe this? Everyone is lost without Him. Matthew 1:21, 1 John 2:2, 1 John 3:8.

False teachers are claiming that everyone is saved regardless and you don't even need to follow Jesus or do anything at all. Some say you can enjoy yourself, commit unlimited sin, follow and worship satan, because it doesn't matter. Based on this lie, I'm sure many would enjoy using that as justification to commit sin tonight: maybe have an affair, do drugs, lie, steal, commit violence, and do whatever your heart desires, and all the things God hates. None of this info comes from the Bible. Jesus said the opposite of what people are spewing here. If Jesus was here today they would likely call Him names, like legalistic or unloving or unaccepting. People are embracing the values of the world over the God's values. Jesus warned everyone to NOT SIN and be NOT of this world. People are twisting things to justify themselves living and following the world and assume they are saved when they are not. The end will be exactly as Jesus predicted: Matthew 7:21.

People at least can't say they weren't warned. But the false teachings about people saying there's no hell, no sin, no this or that is all lies. It's like the devil himself posting lies. A lot of cherrypicking and scripture ignoring must happen to make such a conclusions and it begs the question if everyone is already saved then why read the Bible or spread the gospel if what they say is true? Really sad to see that on a Bible site where 1 click away God's word debunks it. God bless...

U may enjoy Exodus, which actually begins in Genesis 37:1-36, continues : Genesis 39:1-23, Genesis 40:1-23, Genesis 41:1-57, Genesis 42:1-38, Genesis 43:1-34, Genesis 44:1-34,

[Note this scripture chapter 44, Genesis, if you noticed we skipped Genesis 38, because it jumps from Joseph to Judah. Now if you read Genesis 38:1-30, you can understand a few things on deeper level = Judah maybe knows painful loss of children at this point in his life & even the difference of love towards children of his "loved wife". Next very importance of Judah's sacrifice for others, resemblance of Jesus sacrifice being beloved Son of GOD. John 3:16, ]also interesting Tamar, bore to Judah the son in Jesus documented lineage Matthew 1:1-3]

Back to story : Genesis 45:1-28, (forgiveness), Genesis 46:1-34, Genesis 47:1-12 (Redemption) Genesis 47:27-31,

    Now note: Genesis 47:13-26 , Genesis 12:1-3, Genesis 12:10, Genesis 12:11-16, * Genesis 12:13-20, Genesis 16:3, Genesis 16:6-11, Genesis 15:13-14, Genesis 21:8-21, my own opinion Deuteronomy 32:35-36, Romans 12:19.

These moments in Genesis leading up to how & why Israel came into bondage. Exodus 1:1-8, continue reading Exodus 1:22, please continue to read all of Exodus.

One more encouraging note :) Hebrews 11:22, Psalms 105:1-45,

Furthermore on this site under the 1611 Version tab you can scroll to see more history on the Bible.

Hopefully these inspire a new lifetime desire of deeper study

Luke 23:29, Isaiah 54:1, these scriptures exist too. When other women say._..

Luke 1:25, 1 Samuel 1:6, women have cruelly mocked other women many times over this issue & others.

Remember GOD justifies Romans 8:33, Psalms 22:24, be encouraged sis

    Proverbs 16:9, Romans 5:1, James 2:22-25,

However the root argument sometimes stem from situational issues of choice which people may be referring to Genesis 38:6-10, then continued reading Tamar was considered "more righteous" Genesis 38:26, pursuing offspring of her dead husbands lineage, which was significant either in justification, reward or preplanned destiny. Matthew 1:3, Genesis 38:29, she is written in the documentation of Jesus lineage. Hebrews 11,

    Additional scripture

Act 17:28-29, Malachi 2:15, Isaiah 65:21-24, on their perspective

I hope this was encouraging & helpful

Try ABE BOOKS dot com. They have new and used books. Each book is rated on condition. They have new ones in a box too. They have very hard to find books also

Just type what version, font, I would get one with CENTER OF EACH PAGE REFERENCE COLUMN, concordance if you don't have a Strongs.

I'm hard on my Bibles so I need leather.

Check fine print and see where the seller lives such as USA.
