I think Matthew 19 is a teaching that we all need to read and get a good understanding of It has so much in it that can help you understand what it mean to be married how much faith you have in God being able to let a child go back to God and understanding why without questions and knowing that all things are possible through God I got so much out of it and I will continue to read it so I can understand more and more about it

God says the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS FOR the the little children MOST DEFINATELY and as adults we need to change our hearts so we can to Heaven to be with our children Amen

This verse is very personal for me, and it gives me comfort it heals my heart Thank you Lord My baby girl went home to be with the Lord and it hurt me so bad. To me the verse means the children are pure free of sin never lied, never stole, never hurt anyone, or cursed anyone, or judged so God

God meant for the marriage arrangement to be permanent. The two are to become one flesh and man should not break that union apart.

Matthew Chapter 19 is very plain in stating that unless we make the Lord our main focus and seek only after him, then possession of 'things' including money will hold us back from seeking the Kingdom of God FIRST. The Lord our God is a jealous God and we must seek him whole-heartedly and anything that we put before him we make those things idols. Just as little children follow after and obey their parents, we too should follow after and seek the guidance of our heavenly father.

The - it is easier for a camel - remark means - it is is impossible for a rich man to enter heaven. Why? Because we take NOTHING with us.

I googled this verse because I'm beginning to feel that God is moving in my life in such a way that I may have no choice other than to get free of my possessions to go preach the Gospel. I have little passion now for anything other than God's glory and soulwinning.

Matthew 19:24 "And again I say to you, that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." This passage is communicating that money can cause a person to become selfish, greedy, and hold wealth and material things as idols before God, preventing them from serving God whole heartedly and in true sincerity because God is not the priority, but money, wealth, and material gain is and the driving force in the person's life. Timothy 6:10 says, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." It is okay to save for retirement, and plan financially for the future, but not at the expense of putting God first. The danger comes when we place money and material gains in the place of the Almighty God.
The eye of a needle statement refers to the entrance of a narrowing/small gate in the temple. It is not referring to a sewing machine as we know it today. They named this small entrance to the temple the eye of the needle.

what proof that needle means gate and where can I go to find that fact. the verse is Mathew 19-24

children are simply/blindly believing the words of mother or father and act as they heard from parents- they never argue/doubt.God says every one should be like children while reading Bible words and follow the same in their life. He need such persons in the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen!!!....

I think you are ok to have $ and be a good Stewart with it and give. What we do for Gods kingdom. Some become rich and forget God and see more value in what is tangible. One with $ must be a cheerful giver and keep God first.

this simply shows that when we are married the is no divorce. divorce we find it when the is fornication and in marride people the is no fornication but adultry. this is simply saying no divorce and remembere GOD hate divorce.

Perhaps the rich man was "rich" in thinking he could be good enough to get to heaven. He indicated how good he is and Christ puts him in his place. The question is what can I do to get to heaven I believe Christ is saying you can do absolutely nothing. Leviticus 19:27 is one of my favorite Bible versus... Jesus Christ NEVER had a hair cut or any type of clean shave. He also didn't have the tools needed to do so. Basically the verse is telling God's children, us, to be completely natural no hair cuts no shaving Just natural. I don't think you will go to hell for shaving or getting a hair cut but I don't, I don't shave or cut my hair some people like it some people don't. If God didn't want men to have beards he wouldn't have created them. If he wanted people to be bald he would have made us all bald. In This day and age 2013 for the most part especially in the city areas in the united states people rarely look like the people did back in Bible times... The goal for a Christian is to be more and more like Jesus Christ everyday. God didn't make anything bad, people make things bad. I will not shave, I am 19 years old and masculine and comfortable with myself. "With God All things are possible." - Matthew 19:26 I would like to also say everything isn't for everybody... God wants us to have a childlike spirit, with humbleness, forgiving, & loving. A child does not hold onto grudges and its easy for them to let it go no matter how they've been hurt. God wants us to have that same forgiving and loving spirit because we can't go to God any kind of way

Just goes to show that... Without God, we can do, be , see or understand nothing.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God, speaks of the needle gate in the temple that the camels had to have their backs clear so they could stoop down to go through. This is telling rich people to get to heaven, you have to unload your riches. The rich young ruler had many riches, and was unwilling to do so, and walked away because of his covetousness. Jesus said a man's life does not consist in the abundance of the riches that they possess. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Those who are rich in this world must not trust in riches, but be free to give to the poor, as well as the needy.

What exactly is the kind of needle that is referred to when the verse says it is easier for a camel to go thru the eye of a needle ( Matthew 19:24).

Verse 29 - Jesus does not seem too hot on family values here. My family, my lovely wife and my two beautiful children are the most precious things in my life. There is no way that I would forsake them to follow Jesus or anyone. It would be unfair and immoral of anyone who asked me to do so.

Looking up the words to find peoples quick meaning has helped me to understand what Jesus is really saying. He wants the little children brought to him for learning with keen senses and no false doctrine--just to him, which he is also saying in p***ages to come that as adults we are to come to him as the little children--with no false prophets or doctrine.

This chapter is good for anybody who wants to get married. And for thoughs who are already married; this might terrify you, because after you have read what Jesus said in this chapter, you now know that Divorce could possibly, and literaly destroy you!

Till death do you part is what you promised to God, and Jesus made it clear that the only excuse is if your Wife, or Husband Cheat on you with another Man or Woman. And i mean PERIOD.

(SCARY ISN'T IT), I mean look at the disciples reply at verse 10, after jesus declared it. Yeah for thoughs who are about to, and to thoughs who want to get Married; this is your wake up call; a moment and time to really consider the possiblity of the vows (MEANING DEATH PROMISES) to God, of; for better or for worse.

This is a devastating life decission if it turns out for the worst, and believe you me; The devil is ready locked and aimed at Marriages. 50% of all marriages fail in the first 5 years; is the documented satistics; So it shows just how serious the devil is aimed at making you fail....... AGAIN 50 PERCENT OF ALL MARRIAGES END UP IN DIVORCE................ if you look at it, it makes sense why the devil goes after marriages it's an easy way to destroy lives and relationships with God.

People this is a powerful Vow. it is definatly one to be reckoned with. So i say make sure that you are deeply willing to be druged through the mud for the next 5,10,15,20,or even 80 years depending on how long you life is on earth, with the one you are thinking of marrying. (IT IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISSIONS YOU WILL EVER MAKE IN YOUR LIFE) after giving your life to Christ.

It is very clear upon my understanding on Chapter 19 verse 9, that any married one can still get married if the reason is fornication. Yahoo.....

I love verse 9 because it lets us know that all y'all who're in a second or third marriage with a living covenant spouse are committing adultery. There's no way around it!

For consistency, regeneration in Titus 3-5 is referring to people, not things, so, regeneration is also about people in Mathew 19-28.Jesus himself said this world would pass away, so how could you apply regeneration to a world that has been destroyed.

Comments on Galatians Chapter 3:10. “FOR AS MANY AS ARE OF THE WORKS OF THE LAW ARE UNDER THE CURSE: FOR IT IS WRITTEN, CURSED IS EVERY ONE THAT CONTINUETH NOT IN ALL THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LAW TO DO THEM.” I think the whole chapter presents many challenges in understanding correctly our relationship with God and our fellow human beings. If understood incorrectly it can lead to unnecessary pain and suffering, despair, even destruction. Here is what I mean (true story): A young family, with two children; the wife, a musically talented lady in her upper twenty’s, the daughter of a minister of a “particular” church, and the husband, a little older but not wiser. At one point, the young husband feeling “freed from the Law” commits adultery. And of course, since there was no breaking of the Law, (the law being “nailed to the cross”), he did not feel guilty, and didn’t make much of it. But when his wife found out, she decided to divorce him: not because he broke the seventh commandment, but because of “infidelity”… When she told me what happened, and her plans to divorce, I was shocked. I tried my hardest to convince her not to do it. I talked to her about forgiveness in Christ, I asked her to consider the future of her kids without their dad, but to no avail. I finally mentioned God’s commandment found in Matthew 19:6 which says: “… What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” When she heard that, she said: “Brother Daniel, I can’t keep the Law! I’ve got to go through with the divorce; I don’t want to be under the curse of the Law, there’s nothing worse than that! But God will take care of me and the kids…” So, here they were: four people, saved and “free from the curse of the Law”, and very much cursed by the misinterpretation of one bible verse. Now, is this what the Apostle Paul is teaching in verse 10? Absolutely not! Here, in order to build his case against circumcision, the apostle is quoting the text from Deuteronomy 28:15. “… IF THOU WILT NOT HEARKEN UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD, TO OBSERVE TO DO ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS AND HIS STATUTES WHICH I COMMAND THEE THIS DAY; THAT ALL THESE CURSES SHALL COME UPON THEE, AND OVERTAKE THEE:” And from verse 16 to verse 68, God pronounces 53 curses against those WHO WILL NOT “observe all his commandments and his statutes”: Thus, (Paul) is implying that if you want to be circumcised in order to be “right with God”, then you need to keep the rest of the “Sacrificial and Ceremonial Laws”. A short overview of the Laws given to the people of Israel by God looks like this: 1. Religious Laws: A) Moral, B) Regarding Tithes and Offerings, C) Sacrificial, D) Ceremonial, A) Moral: a) The Ten Commandments (TTC) b) TTC Expanded B) Tithes and a) The Tenth Offerings, b) First fruits, c) Miscellaneous offerings, C) Sacrificial: a) Sin offerings, b) Peace offerings, c) Burnt offerings, d) Continual offerings, e) Drink offerings, f) Altars, g) Miscellaneous furniture, D) Ceremonial: a) Regarding the Levite priests, b) Regarding the people, c) The First Born, d) The Covenant of circumcision, e) Regarding the Temple/Tabernacle, f) The Feasts, etc. 2. Civil Laws: relating to the rights of the people, the conduct and relations between members of the family and of the community, including the king. 3. Criminal Laws: Same as above Now, the SACRIFICIAL AND CEREMONIAL LAWS make up the body of Law which Apostle Paul calls “the schoolmaster” which pointed to Christ: Galatians 3:24 “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.” Today we have no use for circumcision, sin offerings, burnt offerings or any Ceremonial Laws: We have Christ; the Type met the Anti-type. After the Roman Conquest, the Jewish CIVIL AND CRIMINAL LAWS had no “teeth”, and they were subject to the Roman Laws. No one could implement any of them, except with the approval of the Roman Governor, including Christ’s crucifixion. So, today the only valid Laws remaining are: The Moral Laws, including the Ten Commandments which Apostle James calls “The Royal Law” ( James 2:8), and Laws regarding the Tithes and Offerings. In support of this Apostle Paul makes the following statements in Romans Chapter 7: (7) “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. (12) WHEREFORE THE LAW IS HOLY, AND THE COMMANDMENT HOLY, AND JUST, AND GOOD. (16) If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. (22) FOR I DELIGHT IN THE LAW OF GOD AFTER THE INWARD MAN: (25) … SO THEN WITH THE MIND I MYSELF SERVE THE LAW OF GOD;” Amen.

This by far is the most complex phrase in all of scripture. It seems to totally contradict forgiveness, it does not allow for extenuating circumstances, and is paradoxical to GOD's example of forgiving and reconciling of Israel after her harlotry in the wake of HIS pain.

Can the wives of those that are made eunuchs by mutilation be allowed to marry other men?

Now the question comes to mind. What in today's standards is a rich man? $100, $5000, at which point must I start to worry that I'm doomed because I've been saving for retirement.
