There is a book, written by a man, whom also believed that the last day, the second coming of Christ is also the day of judgement for the earth, the wicked, Satan and the fallen angels. The name if the book is " Restitution" by Henry Funk. A google search will bring it up. If inspired read the last chapter beginning at page 433 on "The Consummation by Christ". This is not the Bible, it is more like a commentary on a few points of how Jesus Christ, God's Lamb, fulfilled the law.

  • People With Hardened Hearts Against the Gospel - In Reply on Isaiah 9:10 - 4 years ago
Ephesians 4:18 - Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Matthew 13:14-15 - And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall NOT PERCEIVE.

Proverbs 28:13-14 - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them, shall have mercy.

Hebrews 3:8 - Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Mark 8:17 - And when Jesus knew [it], he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?

Exodus 9:12 - And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

Exodus 7:3 - And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

John 12:48 - He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Mishael : It takes Spiritual Warfare to free a person to hear Gods Word. See sermons on YouTube, about that. See Ephesians 6. Don't let the devil scare you. He knows Jesus stripped him of his authority to steal souls. Watch some Charles Capps videos too so you will understand your authority through the Blood of Jesus.

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" We chase after so many different things. Only one thing is needful. Having a fist full of dollars, a great estate, and lots of prestige doesn't mean a whole lot if you've gone to your ultimate address without the Lord. Even worse is to find that in the middle of your busy-ness, you awake to find yourself in the barren land where Christ does not dwell and life is not found. Let's not lose our life, our soul, our meaning, chasing after what is not lasting. My Prayer. Father, help me to keep my priorities right, my life holy, and my heart open to your will rather than being blinded with my own self-seeking. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.

    How is Jesus God?

    God is God.

Jesus is the SON of God.

When Jesus called His Father "God" He was referring to Psalms 22, which He was teaching to the people present there. He was not complaining.

Jesus was NEVER forsaken by God.

What do we do with all Scripture that speaks of BOTH the Father and the Son? Matthew 11:27, 16:27, Mark 8:38, 13:32, Luke 1:32, John 3:35, Galatians 4:6, Hebrews 1:5, 1 John 4:14, etc. etc. etc.)

Scripture does not say "In the name of the Father, the Father, and the Holy Ghost." Matthew 28:19

What dose the kingdom of God look like?
  • Donna on Mark 8 - 5 years ago
What is the true gospel or the good news? Is it the coming of the kingdom of God or Jesus dying for our sins and rose on the third day? I see in Matt 1:14 the kingdom of God. Then I see in 1Corinthians 15:1-4 he died for our sins and rose again. I want to tell people about the good news but I have to know and understand it myself. Can you help?
  • Mishael on Mark 8 - 5 years ago
I will tell a part of my full testimony. My salvation was akin to Pauls on the Damascus road. Later, after all the getting free from spiritual warfare; I would hear accusations against me in my mind, about sins, hating my ex, having hurtful thoughts; hating myself. People who told me to my face that anyone as bad as I had been could not possibly be saved. I didn't FEEL worthy. I thought I would let Jesus off the "hook". I saw a vision of Him on the cross but it was laying on the ground. I picked up a big rock and started hitting the nails in his hands. He was looking in my eyes ( that were streaming in tears.). Every time I hit him, He said, I Love You. I couldn't hurt Him anymore. I felt his arms around me. I woke.

I gave him all I had ever been or done; all the memories of sin that hurt like a crown of thorns. Maybe it was faith but I asked Him to erase all the memories of sin from me. He did it. Those memories are just gone. Who I had been, was buried.

I had to learn new things, like the joy of my Salvation.

In my experience, the Holy Spirit is not an authoritarian that frowns when we miss the mark, Don't learn faster, don't look like other Christians that seem to have it all figured out. That's not Him. If we give all our preconceived perceptions of Him, TO HIM; He gives us the new Life of a beloved child of God. You can have as much of heaven, NOW, as you give yourself freedom to take. "Taste and see the Goodness of the Lord." YOU are why He went to the Cross. He looked all the way forward 2000 years and saw your face.

Give Him your life (alpha, omega), and you take His Life .... as in cutting a covenant.

Then as His Bride, Song of Solomon 6:3, 7-10; Isaiah 49:14-18, 22:-26, I am the Lord: they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me!

There is no gender in this thought. He is YOUR beloved.

Draw closer to Him and He will draw closer to you. You can have as much love as you are able to hold.

A time to mourn; a time to dance. Selah.

As a society we give importance to material things and attribute the greater our accumulation of them, as the measure of worldly success. Although throughout history, it can be seen that when someone dies, all of their worldly goods are left behind. Hence the saying, "You can't take it with you." Even so, it is an accepted ideology, that having a lot of material gain, is a good & needful thing. Yet at the same time, it is not without it's downfalls. Because it is also very common that in our social circles, that as time goes by, we get tired and bored of all our 'stuff' and begin wanting newer, better, higher tech'y things, never being satisfied. And in so doing, we begin to lose sight of more important things like being selfless instead of selfish, not thinking about others before ourself or making sure all of our needs are taken care of, before even noticing if anyone else is struggling in need. But, according to the Holy Scripture, "What does it profit a man, to gain the whole world but lose his own soul?" Mark 8:36 - Herein, is a clear message, that becoming enfocused in mainly looking out for ourselves, will ultimately cause us to forget that we too, like every other beast, eventually reach the end, 'our final destination'. What will have been, our own great contribution then? Who will remember us and why? If all we've done, is insure our own personal self-satisfaction & a highly prized collection of trophies, tokens and treasures to simply collect dust and finally ends up being inherited by another who places little value on them, only to be sold, given away or trashed.., as has happened w/an array of trophies after years pass & new trophies are put in their place. It is wiser then, "..to lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust doth currupt and where theives do not break in to steal." Matt. 6:20 Let us therefore, in humble compassion, strive for the prize of His high calling, run the race and "having done all, to stand." Eph.3:16

Jesus already said exactly who he came for. Luke 19:10, Mark 2:17. He came for the lost and sinners. Who is lost and a sinner? Romans 3:23 - Everyone. So, Jesus came for everyone- that's exactly what the Bible says. Jesus gave a firm warning to those who try to deceive others by twisting or denying what Jesus said: Mark 8:38, 1 John 2:22-23.

Jesus had to anoint the blindman a 2 nd time,he cd not see clearly under the 1st anointing, the blindman is the Church that cd not see clearly under early church doctrine the 1st anointing. Thats y Paul said we see like thru a glass darkly, nobodycan see clearly under early church doctrines thats y there are a zillion different churches everybody sees a different vision.Jesus took the blindman by his hand and led him outta of the city.Jesus took Israel by the HAND AND led her outta of Egypt AND SHE WAS REFERED TO AS THE CHURCH.THAT 2 ND ANOINTING is when the book is opened and GOD pours out his spirit on all flesh, when that which is perfect is come the 2nd anointing when the Manchild comes

The, "whosoever," in Mark 8:35 does not refer to you, it is a reference for Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can save you, you can't save yourself. Remember, you don't haver the faith of a mustard seed... Matthew 17:20.

This world certainly struggles with the last verses of this chapter. Satan offers so many things to get the lost to stay blinded to the light of Christ. No wonder so many die and goto hell instead of Heaven. If a man doesn't want anything to do with the Lord in this world, how can he ever expect to live and serve God in Heaven.

earth is not supposed to be sin free- devil ever rules in earthly things; our bodies are a cloak not our souls; we should study bible and live not of the world but according to word of god; no sign of the everlasting will appear until end of time; treat people fairly do not cheat people out of their possessions for self exploitation and fame

What was it that Jesus fed the multitude with but faith in God and Eternity, that God will sustain us if we believe that the flesh body we inhabit is but a cloke, and a means to demonstrate our faith in real time, in the heat of battle, as it were, with all the temptation, lies, and hypocrisy which distract us and surround us in these extreme times in which we find ourselves. Do not succumb, dont

"And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation." If it was an unworthy generation when Jesus was here, with all their hatred and hostility and contradiction against Him; what does THIS dried out old rotten tree think that God should care to give any of them a sign? What blindness!

God is in control and Jesus is not on walking amongst us on earth. He was hear to establish the Truth about life and death. Now it is up to us. Our faith is up to us, what we say, what we do, who we are is up to us! God has establised TRUTH
