@Chuck,
1. The term holy ghost and holy spirit are interchangeable in the scriptures ( Luke 3:22; Luke 4:1);
2. This is one reason why people who have had bodily limbs removed still feel as if their limbs are still with them after removal of a limb;
3. The holy ghost goes to heaven after a person is deceased for a born again believer, and the unholy ghost for an unbeliever goes to hell ( Luke 16:22, 23).
The whore of Babylon is the Catholic Church. Her daughters are the churches that left the Catholic Church but kept many of its pagan rituals it adopted. Sunday worship Easter, Christmas to name the most recognized. The bible proves the real day Jesus died, the month he was born, and day he rose. It isn't Good Friday, Sunday or December. And nowhere in the Bible is Sunday hallowed and commanded to be kept holy and rested on. These are the traditions of man and Jesus warns us about them in Mark 7:6-9 and 13. And the fourth commandment is the commandment he says is forsaken. Even Martin Luther who was taught as a catholic but called them the whore of Babylon. He even recognized the true Sabbath but didn't want to go through the hassle of changing the status quo. Not surprising seeing as the Catholics were killing Christians that kept the true Sabbath. They did this for 1260 years. This period is known as the dark ages. For anyone that wants to see the proof, there are articles with biblical scripture backed with secular history and archeological proofs. Jesus and Paul warned of the false teachers and christs. The Bereans read the Old Testament scriptures to prove what Paul was teaching in the synagogues on the Sabbath. Because there was no New Testament then. The Bible says that He was "without sin" ( Hebrews 4:15). And "sin IS the transgression of the law" ( 1 John 3:4, KJV). So we know that Jesus never transgressed God's law-including the fourth commandment about keeping the Sabbath holy. If Jesus had broken the Sabbath, He would have earned the wages of sin-death ( Romans 6:23), and could not have become our Savior. It is clear, then, that Jesus never broke even the least of God's commandments, nor taught men to do so. On the contrary, He said, "I have KEPT My Father's commandments" ( John 15:10). Furthermore, at the very beginning of His ministry, Jesus set the standard for what would be His lifelong example: "So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His CUSTOM was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read" ( Luke 4:16). Again, in Luke 13:10, we read, "Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath." The Law of Moses to this day is read in the synagogues. So don't fall for the deception it was nailed to the cross. The reason Jesus called the Pharisees sons of Satan they had added over 60 laws to the Sabbath day not ordered by God. These laws were nailed to the cross along with ceremonial laws like circumcision mentioned in acts.. That is the leaven Jesus tells us not to listen to. Acts 15:20, We should instead write a letter, instructing them to abstain from four things: first, things associated with idol worship; second, sexual immorality; third, food killed by strangling; and fourth, blood. Verse 21, My reason for these four exceptions is that in every city there are Jewish communities where, for generations, the laws of Moses have been proclaimed; and on every Sabbath, Moses is read in synagogues everywhere. Again the Sabbath is expected to be kept by the gentiles to hear the laws of Moses. So the apostles don't think the law was nailed to the cross.
I think that the original story could have a Roman-Greek influence since Zeus was placed in the Synagogue and Yehudah at one time was made to worship Zeus. Solar worship plays prominent in their worship probably from a Zoroastrian influence where science and astronomy were intertwined in religious beliefs.
Luke 4:18 - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. Jesus was sent to heal the broken-hearted. Man's heart broke away from God when tempted by the serpent. Man is born broken-hearted. Jesus was sent to heal the broken-hearted. Man's heart broke in the Garden of eden, his heart can be healed by Jesus Christ.
I am looking forward to work for our mighty God, and since I am born Again, I need more knowledge in this field as I am still new. Thanks. Kindly Regards Patrick.
@Susan,
On Satan;
1. I do not believe a born again Christian can be possessed by the devil or a devil the scriptures do not support that;
2. The devil very rarely messes with anyone unless they are chosen of God for a high spiritual position;
3. The devil or his principalities can have an influence on a Christian from very little to much depend on their closeness to Christ;
4. This is why we as Christians need to be doing those things which God has commanded us to do;
5. Read the King James Bible Authorized Version, belong and participate in a solid bible church, be in prayer, separate yourself from the people, things, and anything that keeps us from putting God first in our lives ( 1 Corinthians 6:14-18; Isaiah 59:1,2);
6. Place ourselves under the blood of Jesus Christ;
7. Read James 4:3-8 submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (verse 7). We submit ourselves unto God by doing those things which he has commanded us to do and those things that please him according to his holy word. Do not fret about where the devils go, that is God’s business.
He (Jesus) showed how do we have to live and he is holy God. 1 Thessalonians 4:3: for this is the WILL of GOD, even your Sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication. KJV
Exodus 15:26 If you listen carefully to the voice of Yahweh your God and do what he regards as right,if you pay attention to his commandments and keep all his laws,I shall never inflict on you any of the diseases that I inflicted on the Egyptians,for I am Yahweh your Healer.Please pray for my marriage with Tammy.Have a good weekend.
Luke 4:40 Jesus always has time and always goes the the extra mile. Jesus never rejects any one but recieves all. Why worry He has time for you and wants to help you!
Everything belongs to GOD Did he give Satan the power to pass this over to someone? Did not JESUS already have the power to take this from satan without asking for it or bowing down to satan
Whenever we are tempted by the Devil (enemy) we need to turn to the Word of God, and start speaking out scriptures, and the enemy will flee from our thoughts.

Joy ~ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, a quiet mind, kind acts, well-doing, faith,
- Darby Bible Gal 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit. The fruits named are not our fruits, but of the Spirit in us. If we bear these fruits we show that we have the Spirit. There are four groups: Love. The Christian grace which works out the whole law. Joy, peace. The normal state of the Christian. Longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness. The graces which relate to others. Temperance. Or self-control. The last fruit looks to oneself. It implies not only abstinence from injurious drinks and food, but control of the temper, the tongue, the desires, the passion for money or power. People's Bible Gal 55 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Gal 56 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Gal 57 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again
John 3:5 Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, etc. Jesus does not reply directly to the question of Nicodemus, but proceeds to give more explicit statement concerning the new birth. One must be born of water and of the Spirit. Whatever this may mean, it will be admitted by all (1) that no one is a member of the kingdom of God until he is born again; (2) that the Savior declares the impossibility of one entering who is not born of water and of the Spirit. All agree that the birth of the Spirit refers to the inward, or spiritual change that takes place, and all candid authorities agree that "born of water" refers to baptism. So Alford, Wesley, Abbot, Whitby, Olshausen, Tholuck, Prof. Wm. Milligan, the Episcopal Prayer Book, the Westminister Confession, the M. E. Discipline, and M. E. Doctrinal Tracts, and also the writers of the early Church all declare. Alford says: ``All attempts to get rid of this have sprung from doctrinal prejudices.'' Abbott says: ``We are to understand Christ as he expected his auditor to understand him. John the Baptist baptized both Jew and Gentile as a sign of purification by repentance from past sins. Nicodemus would then have certainly understood by the expression, "born of water", a reference to this rite of baptism.'' People's Bible

Acts 2:17 It shall come to pass in the last days. The phrase "Last days" was used by the Jews to denote the last dispensation, that of Christ. See Isa 2:2. I will pour out of my Spirit. A figurative expression to indicate abundant gifts of the Spirit. Upon all flesh. On all races, not on the Jews alone. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. "To prophesy" in the New Testament means to communicate religious truth by divine authority, as well as to foretell the future. The prophecy was fulfilled in the inspired speaking on Pentecost and afterwards, as well as by the daughters of Philip (21:9). It will be seen that both sexes are included. See visions . . . dream dreams. Such visions as that of Peter at Joppa (Ac 10:9-16). Such dreams as that of Paul at Troas, where he saw the Macedonian asking him to "Come and help us" (Ac 16:9). What should be one's attitude when Satan and his forces come upon us? What should be one's prayer? "Lord, send them from me?" If they leave you, to whom will they go? Is it a righteous desire to want evil to leave you so you can have peace, knowing they would go to someone else? Can one pray for evil forces to go to hell? Is that prayer before the time when evil will be eternally confined? What is one to pray? Jesus said, "Get thee behind me, Satan." ( Luke 4:8) A righteous response to where to put Satan.
After further study on baptsm I think that most people miss the point. Johin baptized with water to "manifest" Jesus Christ to Israel (they required a sign) in John 1:33 John the Baptist speaks of the "real" Baptism, which by Christ putting believers into the Body by his Holy Spirit. ( 1 Cor.12:13) So what happens today is; a lot of unsaved people are trusting in their Water Baptism. The NIV leaves out the confession of the Ethopian ( Acts 8:37)and takes the man right into the water! The confession that they use today is the confession of a demon in Luke 4:41; "Thou art Christ the Son of God."..."The devils also believe, and tremble." ( James 2:19) DGL
what was his all? he does not have all.he has authority over the earth but not what he claimed he has over the kingdom. the kingdom is not his to deliver. First, they are smart than humans because of the infinity God has given to them and the length of time the devil observed human activities. Second, they read the word fo God ( the bible) they repute the truthness of the bible by using out of context quotation. If humans does follow God's word by obeying all His commandments, he is more smarter than the devil because God has given him the Spirit of wisdom.
Joe: to answer your question I have to say "No, I don't believe in the word Trinity", however "I do believe in Jesus", but not as the Son of God, but as a divine prophet.
You see the phrase Son of God is not literal but metaphorical as shown in the following verses used in Exodus 4:22. God was speaking to prophet Moses, "Than you will tell him, This is what the lord says",
Israel (Jacob) is my first born Son". "I commanded you, Let my Son go so he can worship me, but since you have refused I will now kill your your first born son".
Also in 2 Samuel 7:14 God is speaking of David; " I will be his Father and he will be my Son". Psalm 2:7 The King proclaims the Lords degree, "The Lord said unto me" " You are my Son,today I have become your Father"
Again in 1 Chronicles 22:10 God was speaking about the Son of Solomon. " He is the one who will build a temple to honor my name. He will be my Son and I will be his Father".
I have read many verses in the Bible where signifies love, affection and nearness to God which does not only apply to Jesus.In Luke 4:41 Jesus refused to be called the Son of God. Many who were possessed with demons, and the demons came out at his command shouting, "You are the Son of God", but because they knew he was the Messiah he rebuked them and refused to let them speak". Luke 9:18 Jesus asked his disciples, "who do people say I am". Luke 9:20-21,22 "Than who do you say I am" Peter replied "You are the Messiah, sent by God". Jesus warned his disciples not to tell anyone who he was saying "The Son of man must suffer many terrible things".
As we read in Acts 9:20 It was Paul, who never met Jesus preached in the synagogues saying "He is indeed the Son of God".
In Mathew 5:17-18
Jesus announced “Don’t misunderstand why I have come, I did not come to abolish the law of Moses, or the writings of the prophets, No I came to accomplish their purpose.”
derek,
I was reminded by the Lord's Holy WORD as follows!
DOERS OF THE SCRIPTURE ARE NEEDED BIGTIME!
Come on now. You really need to read this carefully. SCRIPTURE IS PLAIN. SCRIPTURE IS THE ONLY WAY WE KNOW JESUS! MANY only go to church on sun-day because the catholics made them. They changed the calendar and PASSED IT DOWN AS MAN'S TRADITION. They DID NOT ADHERE TO SCRIPTURE, AND THEREBY FORGOT TO REMEMBER TO KEEP THE SABBATH DAY HOLY. THIS is not being said lightly. TRADITIONS CONTRADICT SCRIPTURE. WHEN THEY DO THEY MUST BE PUT DOWN IN FAVOR OF HOLY SCRIPTURE. IF not we don't have any faith in what the scripture says because FAITH COMETH BY HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD! Those that changed sabbath to sunday have abandoned the faith that cometh by hearing that comes by the word of God. Go ahead study to show thyself approved and don't trust any man. Let EVERY MAN be A LIAR BUT LET GOD BE TRUE! HE IS TRUE IN HIS WORD!
Exodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Psalm 119:6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Now, some may quote 2 Corinthians 3:6 "Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life."
But what is also TRUE THROUGH AND THROUGH IS THIS SCRIPTURE FROM JESUS HIMSELF THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS: " John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
What "letter" of the law is being spoken of here? Is it the letter of the law that is indicated in the following scripture? 2 Peter 1:20-21 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." Is it the "letter" of the law that is being spoken of in this scripture? 2 Timothy 3:15-17 "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
ALL SCRIPTURE includes old an new testament. Circumcision of the male organ is the judaizing factor which is ABSOLUTELY NOT NECESSARY unless it involves the "CIRCUMCISION OF THE HEART FROM AN EVIL HEART OF UNBELIEF."
Jesus said to keep His commandments! One of them is to remember to keep the sabbath day holy as a sign of Him as we await and prepare for His coming. the catholic church changed the calendar to sunday, the first day of the week and the catholics will boast and brag quite boldly that they did because of their IMMENSE POWER. So much is their boldness that they berate protestants who SAY they believe the bible first and foremost for their not keeping the SCRIPTURAL SABBATH. Catholics despise what they call sola scriptura and if they see waffling or weakness or inadherence to the scriptures by those that SAY they adhere to scripture first and foremost, they take every opportunity to impugn their RESOLVE, because they SAY and DO NOT DO!
JESUS IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS. The New Testament is NO REPLACWEMENT OF THE OLD. IT IS THE FULFILLMENT! Need proof! Here are some EXPLICIT references AS WRITTEN IN THE King James Bible, TRUE THROUGH AND THROUGH IN EVERY WORD!

Put away yuor tradition and take up the tradition of GOD ACCORDING TO HIS WORD. HIS WORD IS PLAINLY TRUE. IF you can read it, you can rely on it, even if you do not fully understand it. Ask and YE shall receive will take care of that part. Any lesser standard of belief in HIS HOLY WORD, is accepting the traditions of men and those are the "LETTERS" that "KILL" and those are what JESUS DECRIED AND BERATED THE PHARISEES ABOUT.
If you still insist the Sabbath, the token of JESUS CHRIST AND MESSIAH is not important or "JEWISH", since when have you as a believer in JESUS been CUT OUT OF THE OLIVE TREE'S ROOT AND FATNESS. You as a believer in JESUS ARE GRAFTED IN TO THE ROOT AND FATNESS THAT IS JESUS OUR KING. The Jews wre broken off for unbelief, and do you think you with unbelief will fare any better? Look it up. If it says "unto all your generations" or "perpetually" or "everlasting" etc. do we disregard that these words have EXTREMELY important meanings to ALL BELIEVERS? If you will keep the tradition of separation and GOD FORBID hatred of JEWS, YOU HAVE IGNORED the STORY OF RUTH AND THE WORDS OF THIS GENTILE MOABITESS HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN. LET THEM NEVER FALL FROM YOUR LIPS. "YOUR GOD SHALL BE MY GOD AND YOUR PEOPLE SHALL BE MY PEOPLE!"
STOP WITH THE TRADITION ALREADY! DO IT ACCORDING TO THE PLAIN WORD OF GOD, HIS WORDS ARE SPIRIT AND THEY ARE LIFE!!!!
lorie, Jesus is speaking of the work He was to do. If you cross reference Luke 2:49, and Luke 4:4 it will give you a better understanding of what Jesus is speaking of.
Why would the demons that are driven out acknowledge Jesus as Christ? All this did was strengthen Jesus' position in the public by having a third party herald him as Savior. Wouldn't it have been in their best interest to leave without commentary to leave doubt in the public's mind?
In vs. 6 the devil offers God's own son rulership and power over all the kingdoms of the earth. By whose authority then does the devil offer them? If he is offering them to Jesus, then it must be by God's authority that he offers them. So then, by whose authority are the world's politicians given rulership and power?
1. The term holy ghost and holy spirit are interchangeable in the scriptures ( Luke 3:22; Luke 4:1);
2. This is one reason why people who have had bodily limbs removed still feel as if their limbs are still with them after removal of a limb;
3. The holy ghost goes to heaven after a person is deceased for a born again believer, and the unholy ghost for an unbeliever goes to hell ( Luke 16:22, 23).
On Satan;
1. I do not believe a born again Christian can be possessed by the devil or a devil the scriptures do not support that;
2. The devil very rarely messes with anyone unless they are chosen of God for a high spiritual position;
3. The devil or his principalities can have an influence on a Christian from very little to much depend on their closeness to Christ;
4. This is why we as Christians need to be doing those things which God has commanded us to do;
5. Read the King James Bible Authorized Version, belong and participate in a solid bible church, be in prayer, separate yourself from the people, things, and anything that keeps us from putting God first in our lives ( 1 Corinthians 6:14-18; Isaiah 59:1,2);
6. Place ourselves under the blood of Jesus Christ;
7. Read James 4:3-8 submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (verse 7). We submit ourselves unto God by doing those things which he has commanded us to do and those things that please him according to his holy word. Do not fret about where the devils go, that is God’s business.

By His Spirit, Holy Spirit. The Lord puts the upright and the sinner to the test, but he has hate in his soul for the lover of violent acts. Darby Bible He who goes on his way uprightly, doing righteousness, and saying what is true in his heart; Darby Bible Prov. 15:2 Knowledge is dropping from the tongue of the wise; but from the mouth of the foolish comes a stream of foolish words. Darby Bible In your name will they have joy all the day: in your righteousness will they be lifted up. Darby Bible Psalms 85 10Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed [each other]. Mercy and faith have come together; righteousness and peace have given one another a kiss. Darby Bible
People's Bible
Gal 55 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joel 2:28 And after that, it will come about, says the Lord, that I will send my spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will be prophets, your old men will have dreams, your young men will see visions: Darby Bible
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because I am marked out by him to give good news to the poor; he has sent me to make well those who are broken-hearted; to say that the prisoners will be let go, and the blind will see, and to make the wounded free from their chains,

Acts 2:33, 39, 40 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. And so, being lifted up to the right hand of God, and having the Father's word that the Holy Spirit would come, he has sent this thing, which now you see and have knowledge of. Darby Bible
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call Ac 2:39 For the promise. Of pardon, and the gift of the Spirit. Unto you. Even unto those who rejected the Lord. To your children. Your children after you. To all that are afar off. To the Gentiles. That he refers to the Gentiles is shown in the next clause, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call. Peter spoke as the Spirit gave him utterance, and perhaps did not fully comprehend his own words. People's Bible
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Acts 2:40 Save yourselves. This was the object of the "many other words". They could "save themselves" by complying with the conditions named in Ac 2:38, and thus accepting Christ as their Savior. From this perverse generation. The wicked Jewish race People's Bible

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: To whom God would make known. 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
