Discuss Luke 3

    Dear Bennymkje

In your comment you carelessly interpreted 'Adam as the son of God.( Luke 3:38).' Adam was created of the dust of the earth- Genesis 2:7 and 3:19- , not begotten, so Adam is not GOD's son, only his origin is from GOD.

John 3:16 - GOD so loved the world, that he gave his ONLY begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    God bless

    Ro 5:12 "All nations"

All nations have one common father. Adam as the son of God.( Luke 3:38) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"(5:12)

In the body of Trinity memorialised the man ("and the third beast had a face as a man,"-Re.4:7) we have the last Adam so when St Paul refers to him "so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." (5:19) one does denote nation but last Adam. When God says 'let us make man in our image and after our image the original already existed before the throne. The 24 elders signify the body of Christ. Jesus as the Word become flesh was in the Mind of God. Their golden crowns and white raiments attest that he did no sin and knew no sin. God's rest ("and he rested on the seventh day"-Ge.2:2) mentioned at the conclusion of the everlasting covenant proves this. In short spiritual bodies refers to both sets. The eagle, the lion and the calf are associated with the quality of the Last Adam. The tables of stone and circumcision have no place in heaven.

Moses broke the first set of stones. "and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount."(Ex.37:19) This second set is written by God signifying that it shall be on the tables of heart. Moses was only to bring up with stone tables into his presence. He himself writes them as before. But the tables of heart is the covenant he made with Moses and not with Israel. "And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments."(34:28b)

Covenant with Moses was consequential. The glory of God required a veil meaning of the glory to follow. "the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." It foreshadows the advent of Jesus Christ. Moses stood there as the double for the Son. Also significant is that God only showed Moses 'his backparts'. At every level we are shown Israel's role was in relation to the Son.

    Ps.110:5-7 Annotated (2 of 2)

    (Continued)

"The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath."

These kings are labeled the heathen, "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?/The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against theLord, and against his anointed,"(Ps.2:1-2) "He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries."(v.6)

7He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

This evokes the test God gave Gideon and it is confirmed by the clue the Spirit has consistently followed. "Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink./And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men."(Ju.7:5-6) The Command number Three refers to the Son. (3x100) attests it. In the case of man 3x10 applies to the service "And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age" ( Luke 3:23) when he began his ministry.

"he shall wound the heads over many countries."

Another interesting parallel we have in the life of Gideon in the manner his illegitimate son Abimelech was killed "And a certain woman cast a piece of a millstone upon Abimelech's head, and all to brake his skull."(Ju.9:53) Speed forward we find the angel similarly throwing a stone 'like a great millstone' to finish off Babylon, the generic name for the nations in the outer darkness. (Re.18:21)

    "Sons of Adam" (De.32:8)

"When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel."

According to the everlasting covenant God makes a distinction between sons of Adam and sons of last Adam. one is earthy and the other is heavenly. Inheritance of saints in light refers to Last Adam as a memorial. The four beasts commemorate the glory of Divine power and wisdom.

Israel lacking in wisdom remained in outer darkness since their eye of faith was never exercised. Literal hermeneutics would require historical context and we have just that. "Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?" (Matt.27:17,26) They chose Barabbas over Jesus because he was one of them. Meaning of the word "Son of the Father" Adam is son of God.( Luke 3:38). The Spirit is meticulous about events, names of people and places. Similarly we have another name that fits in the church age so we shall consider the Acts of the Apostles."But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith./Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him./And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? (Ac.13:8-12). We see the sons of Adam even in our times. Divine healing as a money spinning circus is done by those who have literally explained way to hell for those who have no stomach for holiness of God. Bar-Jesus was all for cultivating political connection, the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus as we see in our times. They all belong to outer darkness and are sons of Adam. Their inheritance are however "according to the children of Israel"

    Ge.2:16-17 "The day"

"And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:/ But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

Adam is the son of God. ("Adam, which was the son of God,"- Luke 3:38) In the everlasting covenant man is created after our image and after our likeness.' In Trinity Adam was set down as the body. By breathing into his nostrils God made him a living soul.

Adam was free to eat of every tree of the garden, including the tree of life." His sin was in disobedience. So the tree of life judged him as it were. This judgment comes under the department of the son to whom God has decreed a day. (Ps.2:6-7)This is what the everlasting covenant presented in the first chapter of Genesis. Seven days are not literal days but its significance is in full harmony with the fulness of Jesus Christ. St Paul refers to it as consistent with God. (He is the visible image of the invisible God.) All things and by him consists. So seven days given refer to the covenant. Each day consists of God commanding as token of the divine Will and at the end of the verse,"And it was so."(Ge.1:7)

With this everlasting covenant in force all other covenants mentioned elsewhere, especially with Israel as a nation, are pendent on it. Similar days, hour ( silence for half an hour in heaven, for instance) are valid but is pendent to the everlasting covenant.

Genealogy of Adam however mentions body producing sons and daughters, of which we have holy family as well as that of the wicked Cain. Death that God referred in the key text is pertaining his soul.

The four beasts of which one had the face of man which could not be that of the disobedient Adam but that of Last Adam. The Spirit allows St Paul to refer Jesus Christ thus. Remnant of the nation of Israel will be included into the body to which Christ is the Head. They havebe new creation in him.

    Messiah doesn't destroy. Here's what the prophecy says of Daniel's week 70th;

    1-it is about the works of redemption through JESUS the Messiah;

2-to RESTORE and BUILD the Temple of Jerusalem, as was commanded by GOD to the King Cyrus(Esra 1:2-3 and 6:3),

3-This EVENT would last until the Messiah be cut off-(Crucified),as is written in Dan.9:24-25,as follow:

Verse 24-Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people(Israel)and upon thy holy city,

    -to finish the transgression,

-and to make an end of sins,

    -to make reconciliation for iniquity,

    -to bring in everlasting righteousness,

-to seal up the VISION and PROPHECY,

and to anoint the most Holy.

    V.25-Know therefore and understand,that

    - from the going forth of the commandment TO RESTORE,

    - and TO BUILD Jerusalem until the Messiah the Prince,

    - shall be seven weeks(49 years),

    - and threescore and two weeks(more 434 years):

    - the street shall be BUILT AGAIN,and the wall, even in troublous times.

JESUS was born after week 69, i.e.after a period of 483 years. His birth was something around 7 to 3BC,as this is known).

    - Beginning of Jesus' public Ministry was around 27 AD, at the age of thirty( Luke 3:23).

    - After three years was cut off in LITERAL fulfilment of Dan.9:26-And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off(crucified),but not for Himself.

That said, the last week, week 70th,stayed I would say,at stand by,and it until this current time.

Actually, these last 7 years are within the last decade of the existence of this current world of Devil, and in this last 10 years period fulfills LITERALY Matthew 24:3-8-period of sorrows, and imediately after, the abomination of desolation- Matthew 24:15-28. GET READY

In the other hand,O please, brother, according to the Chronology of the New Testament, when Stephen was killed it had not been passed two years of the crucifixion,so much less than three years and half as you said erroneously. Stephen has nothing to do with the week 70th Daniel's prophecy.

    Hi Valerieandkyle11,

Yes, Jesus is of the tribe of Judah and the line of David who was of the tribe of Judah, you can read the genealogy in Matthew 1:1-17 and Luke 3:21-38. Jesus the Son of God was made of a woman, made under the law, Galatians 4:4. Not sure about your question was Jesus a Jew? Today when we hear the word Jew it is taken to mean anyone who is of the religion of Judaism regardless of their genealogy.

The same when we hear the word Gentile or Gentiles, we think of anyone who is not a Jew but there are more to these words. After Soloman died the tribes of Israel divided into the northern and southern kingdoms. The southern kingdom was the tribes of Judah and Benjamin and the Levites tended to the temple; it is called the kingdom of Judah. When they were taken captive by Babylon, the slang term began to be used. Jew is an abbreviated slang term for Judahite, a resident of the southern kingdom of Judah.

    Hope this helps.

    God bless,

More speculation on the Mark of the Beast

I heard some years ago that a Pope predicted that the Antichrist would espouse solar power and be an environmentalist; probably Ratzinger but I am having trouble finding the quote. There are many other interesting statments about dangers of humanism and such that that Pope did say; which I agree with despite disagreeing with Catholic theology. In any event; in light of the prophecy in Revelation 16:10-11 and the first bowl being a blister from the sun; I am postulating that the mark could be empowered from solar energy. That would explain the devastation of the darkness on the land that would put an end to any sort of communication the chip would offer (if that is the mark).

It is clear now that all medical records could be for a person in such a database; but I believe that there will be a genetic change to the DNA of the beast as part of what makes a person unredeemable. Also I would expect some sort of "high" similar to a drug that electric impulses or some magnetic energy would give to someone that would give them an addictive high. No doubt any food will be in short supply the entire 2nd half of the Tribulation; so these people will be doped up somehow. Once this feeling is suddenly cut off; that will allow the level of desperation to escalate to where the demons released in Revelation 16:13 will have total control.

We need only to see the rapid decline from the first seal when people will have some sort of false worldwide peace the end of the Tribulation to see how fast men can fall. This can in some ways be compared to the time of Creation and the original fall of man until today; or even how fast people went from Palm Sunday and adoration of Christ to the behaviors less than a week later at the Crucifixion. There is no peace for the wicked at any time as stated several times in Isaiah; and repeated as to no desire for peace in many other verses. Luke 3:7 was in Christ's time but applies today.

You state: "'can Jesus, being in God's Mind only, be the One Whom God uses to create all things?' So what I see here, is that the origin & need of Jesus was a Plan in God's Mind, but I note that Jesus was more than a thought & a plan, but a part of God's Being (as God's Spirit is) which God sent out to accomplish that Plan."

God is one. This Order relates to two principles of Wisdom and Power, which are the basis for all action including creation. Wisdom is feminine principle. So when God says, Let us make man in our image' it was implied. Male and female created he them. this image/likeness was in two senses:Eve was represented in Adam. This explains Ro.5 where Adam and Jesus are representative of two groups. Ro.5:12,17

    2) Christ and the Bride. Adams' knowledge of 'Flesh of my flesh bone of my bones' owe to the breath of God. bone refers to the word, doctrine spiritual flesh 'formed of dust' earthy.

God is a Spirit and Jesus Christ is the visible image of God. Adam is the son of God.( Luke 3:78) In Adam consequently Jesus is represented. To which we have the terms first Adam and 'last Adam' (1 Co.15:45)

Now the divine Will which owing to his Holiness, requires no correction and it is in the NOW. So symbol of the Lamb slain (Re.13:8) is simultaneous as the Lamb of God ( John 1:29). The same can be said of the Throne of God and of the Lamb.(Re.22:1) Jesus Christ as the visible image is same, yesterday, today and forever..He 13:8. For this reason God rested on the seventh 'day' which is not day as we know the term. God's Will as established as the Wisdom of Jesus who of God shall fulfill them.

Your quote, "but I note that Jesus was more than a thought & a plan, but a part of God's Being (as God's Spirit is) which God sent out to accomplish that Plan." Amen

    The hidden Christ

Mark 8:30 is one of several verses indicating Christ told people including the Disciples NOT to tell anyone who He was (namely; the Son of God). He spoke in Parables to hide things from all except those called and chosen (see Matthew 13:10).

When we survey the narrative of the Gospels it leaves us dumbfounded as to how anyone could not realize who Christ was. After all John the Baptist after baptizing a large amount of the entire population including the Pharisees warning them of who was to come identified Christ ( John 1:32 and recorded in Luke 3:22 as being accompanied by a voice from heaven). Only the Spirit could reveal this truth as we see in Matthew 16:17.

There are several reasons for this blindness. One is the god of this world who is mentioned as blinding men to the truth as illustrated in 2 Corinthians 4:4. The second was in the hidden counsels of God more than likely (See Deut. 29:29). If the wicked knew who He was they would have stopped it because it would have led to their guilt in the act and He would inevitably be Resurrected. Satan also may have not been involved because it would mean His defeat as prophesied in Genesis 3:15 (although he is insane enough to ignore what he probably should have known). Israel should have recognized that the suffering servant would also come back as conquering king. They would have waited until He established that Kingdom on earth without having a heart to truly worship Him; reminiscent of the group who finally rebels at the end of the Millennium period.

We need to squarely face this fact in terms of how the unregenerate view Christ. Any affinity one may have for Jesus apart from the grace of God bringing repentance is from a false Christ in our imaginations which inevitably brings a works based attempt at salvation or considering Him a great teacher or Prophet as was the case of those in Matthew 16:14. Church is the congregation of the Holy not a social club for comfort.

    Revelation 7:1-4 AND 9-12, says:

1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living GOD: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our GOD in their foreheads.

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. (These sealed 144K of each tribe of Israel are the remnant saved of the condemnation and eternal perdition- Luke 3:7 combined with 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12, among countless other biblical references).

    On the other hand:

-verses 9-12 combined with Revelation 19:6-10

    9 I beheld, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our GOD which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped GOD,

12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and Glory, and Wisdom, and Thanksgiving, and Honour, and Power, and Might, be unto our GOD for ever and ever. Amen.

    Momsage, the question is:

Who are the great multitude, which no man can number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stand before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands? And they cry with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our GOD which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

    Yes, who are them, Momsage?

    After Christ was born...

Today is according to tradition the day after Christ's birth (despite evidence His birth wasn't in the winter). At some point shortly after His birth; the angel gave the warning to Joseph to flee as Herod began his slaughter of all male children 2 and under. Later after Herod was dead then Joseph was told to go back and eventually settled back in Nazereth to fulfill another prophecy (read Matthew 2:13-23).

We then see nothing except the general statement that Jesus grew in wisdom and stature until his brief account of speaking at 12 years old at Passover in the account of Luke 2. It would appear that indeed only a few (including Herod) were aware of this miraculous birth at first glance since there weren't people coming in droves to find him. Since Herod persecuted and killed so many children it probably would be knowledge to some as to WHY he did this; although he may have said something about a usurper being born to compete for him on the throne rather than saying he was trying to kill who they considered their Messiah.

In any event clearly Mary and Joseph were able to blend in so that Jesus was not that recognizable even into adolescence.

We may not understand why Christ had to remain more or less hidden until the sudden public appearance beginning His ministry after the 40 days of temptation in the wilderness at age 30. Surely the example of service to his family and living a perfect and righteous life is demonstrated. I would surmise that He was "prayed up" knowing the frenetic pace and intensity of what was coming for that 3 1/2 year ministry well ahead of time and had great lengths of time to pray alone. We can surmise that He spent that time preparing His family financially to have enough to survive once He had to leave for the ministry the Lord gave Him. John the Baptist apparently wasn't even aware until the Spirit came down as to WHO the Son of God was ( Luke 3:22).

Christ never flaunted His glory on Himself.

    Kinsman Redeemer.

    Part 3.

    Leadership Within the Family

Therefore, it is an understanding that under God's original design the family was responsible for its members, and within the family there was one central person who is considered the leader to fulfill the responsibilities of the family, this was the kinsman Redeemer. This is a Prophetic role that God established concerning the Messiah and mankind. The kinsman Redeemer had two roles which mirrored the two roles which Jesus plays out as seen in His First and Second Coming. This reflects the fact that as it was man who brought mankind into sin and judgment, righteousness to clear that only another man, who is righteous could bring mankind to redemption - this is what Jesus was to us, He is and was our kinsman Redeemer.

    The Qualifications of the Kinsman-Redeemer

First and foremost, there must be a blood connection, within the same tribe.

(In the case of mankind, the Kinsman Redeemer must be a human)

Next, is the biological proximity concerning the family member.

(In the case of mankind, the Kinsman Redeemer must be fully man, not an aberration)

Lastly, a willingness to fulfill the position.

(In the case of mankind, the Kinsman Redeemer had to choose this responsibility)

    The Goel

Normally, the role of the Kinsman Redeemer, or Goel in the case of the death of an adult male without progeny, is to bear children to their name.

This is seen as part of the Levirate Law ( Deut. 25:5-11) to fulfill the responsibility of the Goel, first to fall to the brother, to be accepted by him (See Gen. 38:11-30: the story of Tamar; Judah's daughter-in-law, mother of Phares, listed in Luke 3:33 as part of the lineage of Christ, she is mentioned in Matt. 1:3), however, if a brother or one closest in bloodline refused, as seen in the book of Ruth, then the man that refused would perform a ritual of taking off his shoe and handing it to the next inline of kinship that would redeem the progeny and the land.

    See Part 4.

You will find the genealogy of Mary in Luke 3:23-38. However, when considering this genealogy, you will see that in verse 23, that 'Jesus was the son of Joseph (as he was so considered by the people - but not biologically connected to him) & Joseph was the son of Heli'. Whereas in Matthew 1:16, we see that Joseph is given as the son of Jacob. Therefore, it is understood that Joseph was the 'son-in-law' of Heli, Mary's father (however, some believe that Heli & Jacob were the same person). If then we accept that Luke's genealogical account of Jesus is through Mary, then when we get closer to King David, we note that this lineage is taken from David through his son Nathan ( Luke 3:31), whereas in Matthew 1:6, it is through David's other son, Solomon, through to Joseph. So both Joseph & Mary are connected to King David.

    Matt.1:19-25 "Jesus and Immanuel"

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins."(v.21)

Here we have two names which distinguish as we ascribe deity and humanity to the Word becoming flesh.

In this context we do not find God naming Adam. In the Lucan genealogy Adam is qualified as the son of God.("Adam, which was the son of God"- Luke 3:38) The angel who appeared to Mary informs on the other hand of her child, "which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God"- Luke 1:35) One is a son because of the breath of God making him a living soul. The other signifies the Fellowship of God with Man on the basis of the Father Son relationship. This is consequential as far as salvation Plan for man is concerned. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."(Ac.4:12)

In vv.22-23 we have another name, "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,/ Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." God with us is synonymous with Word which is the constitution or Law of the kingdom of God. Knowledge of the glory of God is tied up Jesus Christ. In his prayer he remarks of the glory, "O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."( John 17:5)

"For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." What does the face indicate? God named the firmament heaven (Ge.1:8) so heaven declares the glory (Ps.19:1) indicates a face to which the Magi could read as well as any man by faith would know the will of his Father. God showed only 'back parts' to Moses, meaning through the Law of Moses.

    Matt.1:17 "Numbers"

"So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations."

Here we have earthly events and names of persons graded into generations.

Narrative mode of the Spirit in setting the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ on a single yard stick uses numbers which is user-friendly. It is in the sense mathematics is a human invention so it is convenient to set births deaths of man rise and fall of nations against the Law of the Spirit. Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of the Law accordingly is made manifest in the fulness of time. The Spirit tags the Son by a command number Three. We shall look at three examples which hold relation to the Son. "David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years."(2 Sa.5:4) 2)"And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt"(Ge.41:46) and "And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,"( Luke 3:23). Lives of men in 3x10 set them graded within frame of reference to God the Son. This Law of Gradation groups men events places in terms of the Son. This connection makes heaven and the earth on the same pge and on a single yardstick. Carrying away into Babylon unto Christ, from Abraham and from David are events given in 14 generations. 14x3 =42. In the Revelation we have the beast set in terms of the generation of Jesus Christ. "And power was given unto him to continue forty and two months."(Re.13:5). What is the significance of 42? It refers to the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ. The beast shall be called to account as those children of Belial whom Elisha cursed."And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them."(2 Ki.2:24)

Truth mixed with falsehood: further thoughts on O.T. and N.T. and on "cherry picking" scripture

When David wrote in Psalm 119 that he loved the law; it was not necessarily for the regulations itself; at least to the main theme; but it was the nature of God and His righteousness where knowing the Lord personally; such statements could be made. Isaiah 30:10 is a warning that people wanted to hear smooth things; and that reminds us that we can't selectively pick verses that seem encouraging to us. We also have to look at such texts as 1 John 4. Verse 12 shows that we must love one another; but further inspection on this and the entire book of 1 John shows what agape love is; it has to be a perfect love and goes against the flesh where people in the flesh tend to pick and choose who they love. (see 1 John 3:15-16). We could say the same thing in a subject like prosperity. God promised Abraham would become great; and blessed him greatly with possessions. Nonetheless; the cost of this was having to wander around as a nomad in what would become eventually the territory of the Promised Land.

Again; in regard to the law it is actually held to a greater standard in the New Testament as to thoughts and intentions of the heart (see Matthew 5:28). God is also still concerned about vows and covenants made such as with marriage and we cannot live as the world and expect to inherit the Kingdom of God. The lawless one is coming ( 2 Thess. 2:9-12). God has written the law in our hearts ( Rom. 2:15).

The Dominionist concept of the church taking over the world before Christ comes back is clearly in opposition to such verses as 1 Timothy 4. We aren't in a Theocracy where we can be expected to conquer as Israel did; we also can't exact restrictions more than Christ did with soldiers ( Luke 3:14); where Christ didn't try to make them lay down their arms. We can learn to wait on God as Romans 12:19 suggests. May we read and apply all scripture in a sound manner.

    Brothers in Christ

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

Get ready Get ready Get ready

At midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him-Mat.25:verse 6.

The bridegroom tarried, all slumbered and slept-verse 5.

The bridegroom comes; and only they that are ready go in with Him to the marriage: and the door will be shut acccording verse 10.

Reemember that the disciples privately asked two important things to JESUS,saying:

1-What shall be the SIGN of thy coming?

2-and of the END of the world? (the current Devil's world)

Our Lord JESUS listed several signs that would happen previously before His coming as is written in Matthew 24:3-7,and He warned in the verse 8 saying that the signs listed were only the beginning of sorrows. Are you see that the SIGNS LISTED

of the coming of our Lord are LITERALLY be fulfilled? If not, wake up, yeah wake up and get up quickly.

Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. The Day of Vengeance arrived, the Day of the Lord.

    Revelation 11:15to18

15-The kingdoms OF THIS WORLD are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

18-And the NATIONS were (will be) angry, and GOD's WRATH is come, ... and should destroy them which destroy the earth.

    Revelation 6:15-17

    15 The kings of the earth,and the great men,and the rich men,and the chief captains,and the mighty men,and every bondman, and every free man,hid(will hide)themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks,Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17For the GREAT Day of His wrath is come;and who shall be able to stand?

The ANGEL of the Lord,John the Baptist, warned the Jews, saying:O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the WRATH to come? Luke 3:7. He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: he that believes not the Son shall not see life;but the WRATH of GOD abides on him- John 3:31

    Ps.120 "False tongue"

"In my distress I cried unto theLord, and he heard me./Deliver my soul, OLord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue."

how we are made. "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." (139:14) There is nothing here that we have added to it. It is 'thy works' and only these shall endure.

The word eternally settled in the heavens attest to it. It only needed a little madness to convince King Nebuchadnezzar that his magnificence was only a make believe. "The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?/While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee."(Dan.4:30-31) The king spoke being a man spoke with 'a false tongue.'

God formed man of the ground and his breath made him a living soul which Psalmist David affirms as knowing right well. God a Spirit also formed all hearts alike so we are worlds exactly as His Sovereign power and glory created heaven and the earth. In short His will has set everything needful for our life and godliness so inner world and exterior world precisely hold relationship correspondingly. Despite of what is ordained where man says,'There is no God' he is holding truth in unrighteousness. He is a fool.

According to the will of the Father the man was given authority so obedience of the soul is compared to the Father Son relationship in heaven. Thus Adam was the son of God.( Luke 3:38).

In this psalm when soul laments.'woe is me' that I sojourn in Mesech, we can appreciate how a Christian abiding in Christ would feel with all the activism of the ungodly going about among the congregation. In vv.3-7 we have the dilemma of being unequally yoked with sons of Belial despite of what they might profess.

    Ge.5. "The Four"

    Lamech-cont'd

"A son in his own likeness, and after his image,"(Ge.5:3) refers to Adam who is also the son of God. ( Luke 3:38). Methuselah is distinct from his siblings. "And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech./And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters.(Ge.5:25-26)

    Noah

Heb. Noach meaning rest. Foreshadows Jesus Christ who is the Mediator between God and man. In a similar manner Noah serves as the link between the old world and the new. God did not spare "the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly (2 Pe.2:5)"

The period "the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing," was one hundred and twenty years (Ge.6:3)) to which the Spirit gives a basis for baptism by water, where in few, that is, eight souls were saved by water'(1 Pe.3:20). Good conscience is equally applied to body, spirit and soul.

Noah is also a double Adam as the steward into whose keeping all His creation, were left in trust. For this reason the Last Adam a life-giving Spirit explains the beginning of the age yet to come.(1 Co.15:45)

My question is it literal or figurative?

Is says earth, most cases referring to the ground we walk on. Did God divide the earth as in the continents or placed them in land already separated (continents) as they are today? Like the world, 5 Hebrew translations, 3 Greek. Earth though all refer to the ground, dirt, soil in all three translations.

1 Chronicles 1:19 - And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

    Genesis 10:25

"And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan."

Genesis 10:32 - These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

Genesis 11:16-19 - And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters. And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

Deuteronomy 32:8 - When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

Luke 3:35-36 - Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala,Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech,

    Acts 17:26 - And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

    Ge.2:18

" And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."

Here we see the Mind of God. Power principle in godhead works with Wisdom principle and operation of one in tandem with the other is glory; so Fellowship of God with Man gives a body that is enjoined to enter into the rest of God. (He.4:1) 'Where is the place of my rest?' (Is.66:1). Peace of which passeth all understanding should warn us the pitfall of judging the rest of God from human circumstances.

In the Lord's prayer we recall the Power and the glory which is forever. Whereas The Word becoming flesh death and resurrection only explains a body which is in flux reason for which we have this verse, "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish,"(Ep.5:27) In Christ we shall find equipoise or enter into his Rest, the Sabbath. Adam could not find rest in His creation. The peace of God mentioned here above necessarily is in the Son 'as the express image of his person.' Adam was merely a stand-in for the Son, marked by 'son' of God. ( Luke 3:38)

    vv.21-22

"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;/And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man."

Regarding deep sleep we have yet another example, "So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul's bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw it, nor knew it, neither awaked: for they were all asleep; because a deep sleep from the Lord was fallen upon them."(1 Sa.26:12) Deep sleep simply establishes it was in accordance with the will of God. Thus was with Adam as a double for the Son so Eve is created in her own right as well as in fulfillment of divine Purpose. We shall see this double function in theLife of Abram and Sarai.

    Ge.2:7 "Breath of life"

"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

The Spirit of God moving upon the face of the waters also garnished the sky. What Job says about it does not contradict the ch.1:2. "By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent."( Job 26:13).The crooked serpent is of same weight as the tree of knowledge of good and evil, a point which we discussed earlier. God is a Spirit and his kingdom rules over all. (Ps.103:19) When God said Let there be light, the stars did not evolve willy-nilly by some strange series of coincidences but by the word of God. "By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth." So what holds the dust, water vapor, the stars and the moon together? Is it not Jesus Christ the word become flesh?

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them./And God blessed them." God made man as His steward for the reason of the homogeneity that the word could create out of the two worlds. They are framed by the word of God and faith is what holds man and his world. Jesus Christ as the firstborn of His creation,

We shall see from what proceeds in the rest of this chapter that whatever knowable of God and his kingdom was imparted to Adam. Why would God do that? Jesus explains, "That where I am, there ye may be also".( John 14:3b)

The Spirit presents the man in full possession of his faculties so he did not need any other to teach him of good and evil. He was the son of God. ( Luke 3:38)

The element of surprise: The Rapture Date

I discussed the other day about the Rosh Hashanah last trump concept that made it plausible that the Rapture would be this weekend. Clearly it went by again with no Rapture.

When we look at various events in scripture; we see the surprise element. Surely those watchmen who are asleep or not preparing others will be surprised when He comes (as many will be watching on high holidays such as this and Pentecost).

( Luke 12:35-40). The enemy camp is taken easiest this way in a successful ambush. Watching and waiting with patience is more than a one or two day spectator sport. It does seem that SOME warning comes before the bridegroom arrives ( Matt. 25:6); although some say this is deliverance perhaps before the second coming or even the midpoint of the Tribulation for the Jews or those on earth at that time. In any event; the idea that the Lord delays His coming brings laziness and sin ( Matthew 24:48-51) and results it appears becoming a statistic stuck in the Tribulation at best in verse 51 if not lost forever.

I am a Pre Trib person because it seems clear to me DECADES ago the enemy could have taken over the whole world and certainly we are on "borrowed time" today; the "restrainer" in 2 Thess. 2:6 has to be the Spirit working through the church.

The fact that only a few are really living fully surrendered today shows why in large part the salt and light has reduced to allow the level of ecil we see widespread today. This is in the world as expected but in the Laodicean church that typifies Western churches and that of many other countries in the world today.

Let us continue to warn others to flee the wrath to come ( Luke 3:7); whether it be imminent unexpected death or being stuck in the Tribulation. Remember that Christ comes as a thief to take His precious treasure ( 1 Thess. 5:2; Malachi 3:17). A thief such as this doesn't care about the profane; just the sacred objects of His affection.

As a added nail to the Scriptural Truth & confimation of the doctrine of perfection in this present life

    1Pet 4:1

we must be still in our mortal flesh, to suffer in the flesh, & to cease from sin

its the working of Grace / Cross in denying ungodliness & worldly lust that the carnal minded, which is in enmity against God that must be crucify & the learning of righteousness is the suffering described here,

As we continue in well doing, ever increasing in the measure of His Spirit

    we come to Psalms 40:8

I spoke to Chris once about this, but it's worth saying it again, my present measure is in the state of man before he fell, yet still capable of falling, & I have ! I found that in humility, 'Truth in the inward parts" & confessing the least motions of His convictions within my conscience is the key to growing in Grace. I learn to love it when He nails me, its His judgment of lovingkindness drawing me closer to Him, instilling in me the fear of the Lord & by continuing in this state of brokeness I receive strenght to overcome all the wiles of the devil, thus far 1 Thessalonians 5:24

What God requires is that we walk according to the Truth that we know, as we abide in it, it cleanses us through the continuing exercising of the Grace received, once we mature in that present measure, God gives the increase & the process of sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience & Sprinkling of the Blood/Life of Jesus within us increases, until that final day of Luke 3:16,17 refer to Rom 6:3-5 2Pet 1:19 "not I, but Christ

Folks, awake to Righteousness & Christ will give you Life

with all that be open on the subject, those who willful choose not to believe, will have no excuse when they stand before a Holy Holy Holy God to give an account of the Light that's has been reveal to them, folks please consider.

Another thought, in light of the whole of Scriptures, only the devil influnence upon mankind would plead to remain in unbelief & sin, this doctrine come only from Rev 17:5

    Genealogy

What is the pedigree God desires when He said "Thou art my Son. This day have I begotten thee?" (Ps.2:7)

A clue to His will can be found in his creation account. "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth." Pedigree of a fruit tree yields after his kind." It is the law or decree that God established before he created man in 'our image.'

It is for this reason the Spirit writes about 'the generations of the heavens and of the earth' right after the creation account. (Ge.2:4) it is the pedigree of children of the light and of the darkness 'It concerns the genealogy of the Holy Family beginning with Seth. It was the divine Will Seth stepped into the breach made by Cain.

"And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth.(Ge.5:3)" After Seth he had sons and daughters which are not part of the pedigree the Spirit assembles. Compare this with that of Enoch," And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah/ And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters (Ge.5:21-22)"

Adam is the son of God. ( Luke 3:38)

Adam lived 130 years (100+30) before he begat Seth who is the double Jesus Christ, whose ministry began when he was thirty. (Three is the tag for the Son of God)

In the case of Enoch he lived 65 years (13x5) and after Methuselah he had many sons and daughters as Adam had. Significant point is that he walked with God. To indicate it the Spirit gives us this verse:" And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years.(v.23)

3x100 explains it all beyond any doubt.

Hi Nstew. Your questions can be easily answered by considering the texts we have in the KJV & comparing them to the Greek (the original language of the New Testament). As you have quoted Luke 3:38 (& you could examine all the preceding verses that give this genealogy), you will notice that "the son" are in italics; unfortunately, this comment section doesn't allow for italics. Whenever we see italicized words, we understand that the Bible translators inserted those words (not found in the original), to give the verse meaning & flow for us who only read it in English. Therefore, that verse would read, "Which was of Enos, which was of Seth, which was of Adam, which was of God". We know that Enos, Seth, & Adam were humans who had wives & bore children through the fertilization of human seed; but God created Adam without the need of a human contributing seed, therefore "of God", or "the son of God" seems reasonable & should be so understood as being different from human conception. I hope this helps to clarify these verses for you.

Luke 3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

Has Luke created a problem here, regarding Adam, given:

    i.the definition of a Son - a male descendant

ii.the need for a mother for Adam in this construct?

iii.the arguable conflict with the Genesis version of Adam's origin - Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Is this Genesis account consistent with the concept of a son?

This rendition by Luke is even more depressing as it implies that Adam being the first human, then the murderer - Cain - was God's first grandson.

When He appears in Spirit teaching us to discern between Good & evil & we repent with godly sorrow, remission of whatsoever sin is granted, except blasphemy of Holy Spirit. The Blood of Jesus cleanses us of the sin itself & from the influence of the evil one, that we're not to continue in it any longer or we're troddening under foot the Son of God, counting the Blood/Life of Jesus, the Covenant, an unholy thing & doing despite to the Spirit of Grace, turning Grace into lasciviousness & wantonness.

Folks, this is the true gospel, that has the living Power of God to save unto the uttermost to all that come to Him by faith, His spiritual appearance within our heart / conscience, "The still small Voice". The letter of either covenant cannot reach here, the letter is knowledge, a form of godliness without the Power of His Life/Spirit, & yet it was given unto us as a Witness & Points to the Spirit by which all the saints in the Scriptures were taught, led & saved by.

    A personal testimony

Its not an instance salvation, as taught today's in Babylon's Christianity, describe in Rev 17; Mystery Babylon, but is reveal by the Spirit in Philippians 2:12 Rom13:3 1Pet 1:5-9 as a work in progress after we first believe.

Its takes time to purge out the old leaven, from faith to faith, glory to glory; God's mercy & longsuffering love takes us by the hand & leads us to conquer one enemy at a time, in cleansing the house, until we're thoroughly purged Luke 3:17 gathers us unto the Gardner, becoming fit for the Master use & the end, a crown of righteousness unto everlasting life. '

Its truly is fighting the good fight of Faith, the hearing of the Word of God in our heart.

    In love & truth
