Bozki 's Luke Chapter 19..I believe the bible is our instructions on life.. HOW GOD WANTS US TO LIVE! I believe God wants us to live in earth as we will in heaven! After all Jesu did tell us to pray The Lords prayer . We are promising God that we will live his will in earth as in heaven. Amen! Live by Gods law, man made laws are what 's destroying the world. Just because things are legal dont mean you have to do them.
On verse 13, Parable of the Talent, Occupy till I come, Same as in the beginning in Genesis 1:26, Let them have Dominion over the Earth, this is the Kingdom of God. The purpose of God in creating us is to DOMINATE the earth, to rule the earth, just like GOD rule the Heaven, when the time that He will come to earth he will find that earth is like Heaven......Guys, Do the things that God wants you to do. Read the word of God,....God Bless
Verse 11 through 27 in my opinion Jesus is painting a picture of his riseing from the dead as going to heaven and leaving us hear with the Holy Spirit to do his work which I believe he blesses us for . his power will save that wich was lost , it is good to get invualved in a church or minestry to do something for him who saved us I believe he blesses and helps us in that work and he will increase his kingdom through his power and mercy and in the end will reward us with a home in heaven he that has it will be added to him and to him that rejected Jesus to him that hes not even what he has worldly possessions it will be taken away mercy forgiveness grace. This is his power and the good news
I am very glad that Jesus sought me out !!!! Because someone cared enough to pray for me : Gave me the opportunity to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior ! I ought to do the same and also to be bold in speaking of my Lord and Savior when prompted by Holy Spirit !!!

What this verse is saying is that God has three classes of talents for mankind namely high five , middle three and low one . The high and the middle class can easily do well when they stand on their own while the low class can only succeed when they pair up with other established classes where their rewards are lower than their efforts.That is why the word usury were used not that Jesus is trying to contradict himself. Examples are employers and the employees, Masters the servants,pastors and the congregations etc.There are talents that can be unfruitful if not in conjunction with others. And if a person in this low grade category understands and subject himself to complete usury, he would also be ushered where the high and the middle classes are.What this means is that on the judgement day, a faithful general overseer could be rewarded equally with a faithful usher of his ministry.
In a nutshell, millennial security is the belief that God s children are all guaranteed a millennial existence on par with heavenly existence, including heavenly bliss, with the only differences being place and time. Unfortunately, that is not biblical. Ironically, how you live your life of seventy years give or take on earth here and now will determine how you live your thousand year existence in the millennial world. The consequences are sobering either reward and ruling or suffering loss and regretting. The former truly inherits the millennium the latter merely exists in that world, and the existence will not be joyous. This truth is clearly illustrated in the parable of the pounds, Luke 19 11 27. Cr. James Hollandsworth KingdomPreparation Millennial Security
There is truly nothing new under the sun. They made God 's house a cave of robbers then, and the same thing today. Who knew that worshiping God could be so expensive today!?!?! AS I recall, Jesus did not charge for his services, and he did way more than any preacher today can do!
In verse 27, Jesus is saying that he wants his enemies brought before him and slain because they won 't let him reign over them!! That doesn 't sound reasonable to me. Perhaps these enemies were just sceptics who weren 't convinced that Jesus was who he said he was. In chapter 28 verse 17, it does say that some doubted him and those were people who were actually there at the time. I wonder whether this is why Christianity started off as a very small sect within Judaism but most Jews did not become Christians because they didn 't think that Jesus was the messiah.
This verse of the Bible teaches us the expectations of God towards our living as saved saints by the shed Blood of Jesus for Redemption and Salvation wherein the course of the saving Grace is judiciously expended by the saved to bring more into the fold at His coming.
Spend time discipling the lost, and less time nurturing the saved who "come " to Church " but rarely "go " to lost friends. The Great Commission says "go ". Let 's live a balanced life and model both in our lifestyle.

Each person has his day of visitation. Failing to recognize it leads to some serious consequences which otherwise would have been avoided if we are sensitive to the prompting of His Holy Spirit.

The book of Hosea Chapter 4 is very rich in wisdom. It is too dangerous to be found NO TRUTH, NOR MERCY, NOR KNOWLEDGE OF GOD ( Hosea 4:1), and to be found guilty of GREAT ABOMINATION in HIS sight ( Hosea 4:2), they had to be punished with GREAT SUFFERINGS ( Hosea 4:3). God disregarded them who were once called the beloved Children of Israel, His nation, His people, His Children ( Hosea 4:6), looking at them as HARLOT, WHORE, and ADULTERER ( Hosea 4:13-14), and calling them too as BACKSLIDER ( Hosea 4:16), Causing our Lord Jesus Christ to wept for them, "And when HE was come near, HE beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation ( Luke 19:41-44).

These are my understanding regarding the parables written in Luke 19:12-27: Our Lord Jesus Christ received for himself a kingdom and that was to reign over the seeds of Abraham (for parable in Luke 19:12). Since He must leave for the meantime to attend to His kingdom, He gave instruction to His servants to take charge in His church until He come back (for parable in Luke 19:13). But there were seeds of Abraham in His own Kingdom who did not want Him to reign over them (for parable in Luke 19:14). It came to pass, when He came back from His kingdom to His church, He asked His servants about the number of souls they earned for His church, and after knowing it, He gave them authority over the cities in His kingdom, according to the number of souls they earned for His church (for parable in Luke 19:15-19). But to the one who got nothing for His church, He took out from him even his own soul's salvation (for parable in Luke 19:20-26). For those who were in His own kingdom, whom He called His enemies, because they did not want Him to reign over them, He gave instruction to His servants to slay them in front of Him (for parable in Luke 19:27).
In the beginning of the unknown beginning God Almighty created the visible and invisible universe. Gen 1:1. Job 38:4. He alone knit me together in the womb of my mother (same to everybody) Psalm 139:13-15. Deception from satan stole me from the LOVE of God. (Same to every mortal being) John 10:10. We believed untested ideology of man rather than the WORD of God. We are lost. Luke 19:10. Yes "Let God be true and every man be a liar" Rom, 3:4. The Son of man came to seek and save a wretched man like you and I. I need Jesus Christ for my salvation (same to you as well).
The parable of the Ten Pounds puts the fear of God in me and I am thankful for all the good and wise commentary from other Believers. I read it at bedtime last night and awoke still thinking about what it meant. The Kingdom preached by Jesus (yehshua)is what true Believers are all living by faith and obedience to see revealed completely when He returns.
(Verse 10) "A person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as the person who has broken all of God's laws.") This is a parabolic statement. James is showing us how impossible it is for a sinful man to live up to God's perfect standards. Because even if you think you kept nine perfectly (which nobody has), you are still missing the mark because you missed out on one.
But the fact is, nobody has kept even one. Just thinking about breaking a law is the same as doing it. "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." That's why Jesus said to the self righteous Jews, "None of you obey the law of Moses! In fact, you are trying to kill me."
Too, James is showing us that breaking any one law shows your intent to break all God's laws, and to over rule God in everything. "We will not have this man to rule over us." ( Luke 19:14) This is what Adam intended when he broke God's very first command. In other words, inclusive in any one command is God's intent and purpose for all his commands.
This is why God saves us by faith. That is, if we depend on our ability to keep the law, no one will ever be saved.
I certainly agree with Eve Midecha that verse 41 shows us how much Christ loves us. But verse 27 seems incongruous here as Jesus seems to be saying that if there is anyone who does not believe in him and follow him, then he would like to see them killed. Perhaps I have misunderstood. Does anyone know what it means? How about you, Eve. Any ideas?
The apostle Paul said that he preached the Word of God with boldness. It is with this same boldness I now speak. I am in awe and, at the same time, fury over the comments I have read on this website. Why people do not take the word for what it says in its ENTIRETY, I will never understand. I want to address multiple comments in this post, so please read my post knowing it is in sincerity and in the love of Christ that I write.
First, I would like to talk about those who say that baptism does not consist of water. Baptism is derived from the Greek word "baptizo" which means "immersion." Now, I ask, in what are we immersed? A prime example of immersion takes place in Acts 8, when Philip is called by the Spirit to go and explain the scripture to the Ethiopian eunuch. Philip “preached unto him Jesus” ( Acts 8:35). It continues, “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, if thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down BOTH into the water, BOTH Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him” ( Acts 8:36-38). How did the eunuch know that he needed to be baptized? Because Philip preached unto him Jesus. Jesus is the word; therefore we must take ALL of the word – not some of it only to make it say we want it to say. Jesus said in Mark 16:16, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned”. Jesus thought baptism to be important enough to mention it as part of his last words on earth. Don’t you think that means it’s pretty significant? Shouldn’t it be easy enough just to say “well, Jesus said it, so I am going to do it”? I would think so. But so many denominations have taken the precious word of God and twisted it so it fits what they want it to. Matthew 28:19 says, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”. Jesus was talking to the apostles here who were men. Men cannot baptize in the Holy Ghost. Only God can baptize in the Holy Ghost. So this proves that it HAD to be water baptism.
Secondly, I have heard so much about the “thief on the cross” that I am seriously sick. I am sick of people AGAIN not interpreting the Bible for what it says. Let’s look at the setting of Calvary and the conversation that took place between Jesus and this thief. First, Jesus was still alive when this all took place. THE OLD LAW WAS STILL IN EFFECT. Jesus’ blood had not been shed yet; therefore, baptism was not in effect yet and would not be until the day of Pentecost. When Jesus died and fulfilled the Old Law, the New Law entered into effect. And if it were not enough that the Old Law was still in effect, he was Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and could do what he wanted to do. He forgave sins long before the thief on the cross. What about Zacchaeus ( Luke 19:9)? What about the woman who anointed Jesus’ feet with oil ( Luke 7:48)? Both of these were granted salvation by Jesus, yet you don’t hear people basing their salvation off them! Jesus did not tell the man that his sins were forgiven. Jesus told the thief he would be with Him in paradise. Paradise. Not Heaven. Now, granted, no one knows what paradise was, but I think it possible to be the place where Jesus went during the three days after his crucifixion. 1 Peter 3 says that, “he went and preached to the spirits in prison”. Maybe this was the paradise in which Jesus spoke of. If I could I would list all the examples of baptism in the New Testament as “what now saves us”, 1 PETER 3:21. But I do not have enough time nor space in which to write. It is my earnest prayer that you study your Bible. Please read it with an open mind and take it LITERALLY and not interpret it. Do NOT take another man’s word for what it says. Read it and believe it by yourself.
The parable of the pounds:
1. Parables are used by Jesus as an object lesson using a physical to help Christians understand spiritual;
2. Here are some clues to help in interpretation of this parable;
3. The number 10 is the number of the gentiles;
4. Pounds are England’s monetary unit;
5. Monies are spiritual gifts given by the holy spirit at the time of salvation ( 1 Corinthians 12:4-11);
6. The nobleman is the lord Jesus Christ;
7. The far country is the world;
8. The kingdom is the kingdom of God (church age);
9. The servants are the born again saints that have been given spiritual gifts to use in the church age;
10. The usury are rewards earned by the Christians that put their spiritual gifts into action ( James 1:22-25, 2 John 8);
11. The return of the nobleman in verse 15 is the rapture of the church and the Christians will stand before Jesus to give an account at judgment seat of Christ ( 2 Corinthians 5:10 and Romans 14:10) of their faithful works in the kingdom of God, according to their obedience to the holy scriptures ( 1 Corinthians 3:11-15);
12. The judgment seat of Christ takes place during the tribulation period while the wrath of God is being poured out upon earth found in the book of Revelation chapters 4 to 19.
Jesus was killed by the Jews because he called himself the Son of God and refused to be called the Son of man. 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 reads "God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things that are strong." I believe Matthew 25:1 means, that a ruling Religion that defines heaven in its terms (be likened to the real heaven) will state that a man can have many wives; 1 groom and 10 brides. Or, perhaps these "brides" that are required to have oil may be nations that are required to have energy reserves when the Son of man takes over. Verse 8, This is exactly opposite of what Jesus taught! Only a selfish, non-Christian person would not share. Would Jesus accept a person that lacks charity? Jesus tells us to be charitable. Verse 11, Jesus is LORD of Lords, so not every man called lord is Jesus! Would Jesus turn someone away because they lacked something that can be bought or were slow in coming to him? Jesus forgave the thief, while on the cross; he does not reject people because they come to him late. Verse 14, This is the parable spoken of in Luke 19:11-26; people want to know when Jesus would return. It is shown in the Bible that he will not return until after 3.5 years of WW3. The Son of man is the evil “nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return”. The people of that kingdom that is overtaken did not want to serve him. Verse 24, Jesus does not steal! Reaping where thou hast not sown, Jesus is kind and loving to those that serve him. His lord (Not THE LORD which is Jesus) calls the man wicked because the man did not give the lord more than his lord gave him. This lord does not deny that he steals! Verse 27, Jesus does not approve of usury! "If he has exacted usury Or taken increase -- Shall he then live? He shall not live! If he has done any of these abominations, He shall surely die; His blood shall be upon him." ( Ezekiel 18:13). Verse 29, This sounds like a caste system will be set up. The rich will be given what the poor has and the rich has to give to the ruling ”lord” to win his favor. Verse 30, Jesus does not destroy/cast out people that are not able to teach his doctrine or that are not good businessmen. Verse 31, The Son of man is evil and the holy angels will meet him in battle; the throne of glory for evil is WAR. Verse 32, The Son of man will rise to power at the signing of the WW3 peace treaty and separates Christians to be persecuted. Verse 34, JESUS, the King, calls out to his followers. Verses 35 and 36, Jesus explains His chosen people have charity, kindness and justice. Verse 44, Jesus tells the followers of the Son of man that they turned away the poor and did not help those in need.
@Elizabeth lee,
On Matthew 21:5-7, when a person is reading and studying book of Matthew, there are guidelines to remember.
1. Matthew is a New Testament book, but it is a transitional book between Old and New Testament. Matthew is mainly written doctrinally to Jews and contains a lot of typology which are pictures of biblical truths for the kingdom that Jesus was wanting to bring in, but we know that the Jews rejected him as their Messiah ( John 1:11-14), anointed one of God. The religion of the Jews has many customs and this is one of these customs. The anointed incoming kings was to ride on a mule/colt as part of the ceremony to be crowned king ( I Kings 1:33-38, Zechariah 9:9). The ass/colt also represents a person who has not been broken, saved Luke 19:35. Jesus is not only a prophet, priest, and incoming king, but our savior as well.
2. When reading the gospels, remember that before Jesus said it is finished on the cross, they were still under the law and then it is transitional into the church age or age of grace.
But the fact is, nobody has kept even one. Just thinking about breaking a law is the same as doing it. "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." That's why Jesus said to the self righteous Jews, "None of you obey the law of Moses! In fact, you are trying to kill me."
