The better translation would be "in your midst" or "among you." Jesus was telling the Pharisees that He brought the kingdom of God to earth. Jesus' presence in their midst gave them a taste of the kingdom life, as attested by the miracles that Jesus performed. Elsewhere, Jesus mentions His miracles as definitive proof of the kingdom: "If I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you" ( Luke 11:20).
There are three popular interpretations of Jesus' words in Luke 17:21 that the kingdom of God is within you (or among you): 1) the kingdom of God is essentially inward, within man's heart; 2) the kingdom is within your reach if you make the right choices; and 3) the kingdom of God is in your midst in the person and presence of Jesus. The best of these interpretations, it seems, is the third: Jesus was inaugurating the kingdom as He changed the hearts of men, one at a time.
For the time being, Christ's kingdom is not of this world ( John 18:36). One day, however, the kingdom of God will be manifest on the earth ( Isaiah 35:1), and Jesus Christ will rule a physical kingdom.
Jesus told his desciples to pray for the Kingdom.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Some say the Kingdom started in Jesus ministry.
There's several problems with that view.
1) Davids throne no longer existed then. "It still don't.
2) Revelation 20. refutes that notion. "The devil is still at large, look around.

The angels are sent by God, so we can ask in prayer for their presence in our homes. Act on the promises of the Lord. God wants us to go on from being milk fed baby Christians, to stand up and be warriors of FAITH in ahi's Word.
1st through creation, our very breath, heartbeat, vision, taste, smell, every flower, tree, sunset, sunrise, the oxygen we breathe, every beautiful creature, every created thing. Sometimes in our most difficult moments in life we want GOD to speak to us outloud. In those times we need a quiet voice of comfort, which we can find in HIS WORD, in prayer, all around creation if we seek HIM. The voice of GOD recorded in scripture is like thunder, many accounts it makes those who've heard it tremble in fear. Exodus 19:9,16,18,19, Job 37:5, Psalms 77:18, John 12:28,29,
There is no command to tithe today. Offerings are given out of good will and tithes are now used to supposedly "fund" ministries. I've met some great pastors who knew better than to teach modern tithing and worked honest jobs to keep the electricity on in their churches.
Believers are no longer under the Abrahamic/Mosaic covenant ( Rom. 6:14-15; 7:5-6; Gal. 3:15-4:7; 2 Cor. 3:4-18).
Tithes were given to the Levites and priests, but there are no Levites and priests in the new covenant.
Levites and priests were tied to the sacrificial system of the old covenant. Now all believers are priests ( 1 Pet. 2:9; Rev. 1:6; 5:10; 20:6), with Jesus as our Melchizedekian high priest ( Heb. 7).
When Jesus affirmed the tithe, it was before the dawn of the new covenant
Some defend tithing by saying Jesus praised tithing, even if he said it was less important than other things ( Matt. 23:23; Luke 11:42). This argument appears strong, but it's not persuasive. Jesus also mentioned offering sacrifices in the temple ( Matt. 5:23-24), but Christians don't think-even if the temple were rebuilt-that we should do that. Our Lord's words are understandable when we think about his location in redemptive history.
Careful, if any man asks for tithe now -- I'd ask them "what covenant are we under and could I have a receipt showing that tithe went to 'help the church' and not to make a down payment on your new car?"
I believe there's nothing wrong with giving offering to a ministry. Missionaries give offerings to help build churches in third-world countries, provide food or clothing and do this without mandate. If you're giving an offering out of fellowship; there's nothing wrong with that. But let no man tell you tithes are mandatory...unless we're back under the Law and all belief is in vain.
We'll see more legislation against left and right. Algorithms are in use. Now is the dying moments of free speech.

He became our righteousness ( 1 Cor. 1:30). I would state that perfect fulfillment was completed at that point. Christ lived His whole life as the perfect Man; in obedience and submission to His parents; partaking in the synagogue activities expected of a rightous Jew at that time. He showed through His actions and scripture that mercy should accompany activities on the Sabbath; and since He was Lord of the Sabbath certain ceremonial rites could be bypassed by both Him and His disciples. The law itself and its standards still are in effect; although it is in society for the unrighteous. We are given the new standards as to how to behave with our motives; as Christ preached regarding lust and anger. Ephesians 2:15 is interesting in that Christ abolished the law; so to speak as far as us receiving the due wages of sin; that is eternal death.
It is interesting that at the time: Christ said the weightier matters were to be looked after; with the rest NOT being undone ( Luke 11:42). It was not yet time to abandon Judaism until the work on the cross was accomplished. In fact; until heaven and earth go away not one "jot or tittle" of the law will expire ( Matthew 5:18). This; clearly refers to all things EXCEPT that which the New Covenant ( Heb. 9:15; etal) abrogates. That is; exceptions are ceremonial laws ( Acts 10:14-16) and the Sabbath Day ( Mark 2:27-28). It appears that because of Christ fulfilling Pentacost; or the eight day ( Leviticus 23:15) fifty days after the Passover; or Good Friday when Christ was in the tomb made Sunday the new day of rest. The early church appeared to meet the first day of the week.
Therefore; we should love the law as admonished in Psalm 119. Only through Christ can we do good works ( Eph 2:10). Only by fulfilling the first couple commands as summarized by Christ can we desire His ways and demonstrate any love towards what is against our flesh nature. May we daily trust the Spirit and die to the flesh. Agape. RP

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray he responded:
Luke 11:2
"And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth."
Jesus asks us to pray to the God the Father, in His Jesus name:
John 16:23
"And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you."
Christ's union with believers is described as similar to the union between a husband and wife. "They two become one flesh." Paul said that in his flesh dwelleth no good thing. Apart from Christ dwelling in them, Christians cannot be good or do good because there is only one good who is God.
Sinners can become possessed by the devil but if they do not become possessed by the Holy Spirit they shall never enter heaven.

King James Version
24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
To continue what Alex said: The HOLY Spirit : John 4:25, John 14, Luke 1, Luke 3:16,22, Luke 4, Luke 11:13, Acts 2, Mark 13:5-37, Luke 12:12, 2Timothy 1:7, Galatians 5,
It seems that there have been maybe 6000 years of recorded history from Adam to know. Genesis tells us that day and night began verse 3 (Day 1) But we do not know how much time elapsed between Genesis verse 1 and 3. Time did begin with creation, as any movement requires time (rotation of planets, burning of gases in a sun for example).
Romans 1:20 tells us that there is a revelation of God in nature. And Scripture is His revelation as well.
So, things that are discovered in science is part of this natural revelation, but science is not as exacting in this topic as the age of the earth because it was not directly observed by humans. Time was not recorded before humans were created and kept track of the days and seasons. So, we can certainly inquire of science what is theorized and also found in artifacts. many of the things concerning space, laws of nature, and age of things is presented by way of mathematical calculations and physics. Way beyond my comprehension for sure. But, even so, I am glad that there are curious and intellectually brilliant people who delve into these things. Think of Galileo and Copernicus who proved that the earth was a sphere, not flat, and that the earth rotates and orbits around the sun. Many religious top dogs of their day condemned their ideas, but these have been proven true after all.
The Scriptures is not a history or science book. It is God's revelation to mankind for us to know He exists and what He has done, said, and promised. It is our manual for salvation, not our science text to explain all of the mysteries of the created world.
Within the context of spiritual revelation and natural revelation, there is a vast amount of knowledge in both that we will never discover in this age. In the resurrection, we will know so much more, but even then, we will never know all that God knows nor all there is to know about Him. Yet we will know what He deems is needed for us to be eternally satisfied.
"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:"
Because science says that, but the bible shows around 6,000+ years Matthew 1:17
"So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations."
You have from the beginning to the flood then the 2000 yrs since Jesus was crucified as well. Now before Abraham you men living 8 t0 900 years.
So if a person wanted to be biblically learned in the age of the earth you can study it in Chronocals where the genealogies are listed from before the flood and the age of each person.
Science is based on man's theory 1 Corinthians 3:19
"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness."
So does it matter, you either believe or you don't if you do believe then God's word is the authority remember man doesn't believe the creation, they believe a large mass exploded and trillions of perfect round planets, moons, and stars came from that explosion. Hebrews 11:1
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
A believer's source of information, beliefs, and opinions is God's word. For out of the fulness of the heart speaketh thy lips. Read God's word, for faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
Truth is ;. It doesn't say ,.. so we will not know that answer,. till we get home , an have our original spiritual body back an total recall of the whole situation
If the earth is around 5 billion years old and let's say it is then my question is why did God choose to create the earth 5 billion years ago instead of 100 zillion years ago?
I Hope our Father will direct you to the Truth (which is His Word) and that the Spirit will draw you towards it always.
Everyone will fall into one of these two situations:
* Isaiah 6:9-10 - i.e. They have eyes and ears but are unable to see or here because the Spirit of Truth is not in them. They are essentially satisfied as they are.
OR
* Luke 11:1-13 - i.e. They believe that God is reliable to His Word (that His Word is not vanity) and if they earnestly seek He will give reliable answer.
I recommend following the Luke 11 method. Your success in your search for Truth will be directly related to your faith (i.e. effort) in His Word (Which is to say, pray for Truth and understanding of His Word, and always follow that up by opening up the scriptures and studying them intensively in expectation that He is Reliable to His Word). 'Religious freeloaders' are not rewarded with anything that you will be searching for.
It's not realistic to think that you will have a reasonable grasp of the New Testament without first having a strong fundamental understanding of the Old Testament. That is not to say that you can't start by reading New Testament books, only that the foundation for understanding them much more fully will not be in place until you have a reasonable grasp of the Old Testament.
If you're intent on reading any book (with understanding), it is reasonable to start at the beginning. The Bible fits that expectation pretty well.
No although I read a lot of scripture i didn't come across the one that I would like to have this has been nice to connect with you all it seems to me the scripture I'm looking for is in psalm or proverbs Luke 11:48 is what the scripture says but it doesn't speak about Jesus I pulled out the Matthew Henry commentary on the whole bible so I plan on searching more tomorrow Lord Willing thanks
Thank you David. True, translations have continued to evolve over time & often, & in an attempt for making it more understandable to succeeding generations, they have sometimes lost the original meaning of the word. I guess, those of us who read from the KJV are at fault also, as it is simply an 'older' English translation/wording of the original languages. And we know that we often need to go back to the originals to learn about the matter more clearly.
A recent example we've been dealing with on KJBO, is the matter of 'gods', where the original word is 'Elohim'. One can be pedantic & state that the word only applies to the True God, therefore every appearance of the word must mean that men, angels, etc. must also be 'a god' as well; whereas that generic name has other meanings which need correct application in context. Where I get troubled is when the newer translations do not remain faithful to the original languages because of their quest to make verses more understandable, or even omitting verses altogether.
In regards to 'devils', in Luke 11:15 we read, "But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils." In the Greek, the word is 'daimonion', from which of course, we get 'demons', & this is defined as 'evil spirits, heathen deities, demons'. However, the KJV chooses to use 'devils', which is also correct. I don't believe anything is lost by using 'demons or evil spirits'.
How to be free from Oppression - In Reply - 3 years ago
What you're dealing with is demonic. Unbelievers don't know they've been taken hostage.
Believers know they've been snared. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can break the ties that bind us. We pray and ask for HELP to break the bonds and be freed. We do that by depending upon what Jesus did on the Cross to set us free. He paid in blood. Satan nor demons have AUTHORITY to cross that blood and take a Christian captive. Whom the Son sets free, is free Indeed.
Faith in Christ stands up and takes that authority back! Ephesians 6. The Helmet of Salvation. Start pleading the blood of Jesus when THE TEMPTER shows up. The more scripture you know__the more ammo you have to shoot back at the evil. Read about Jesus 40 day fast after his baptism. "IT IS WRITTEN_____ " you fill in that blank with a verse, like He did. It absolutely works. We're weak often because we fill our minds with television, novels and video games.

It's sort of like Jonah. He wanted to run away from Gods call on his life. Eventually he complies, and a whole nation repented.
Social media has become too violent. I'm praying for more and more Bible websites like this one, to spring up.
Luke 11:30 - For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to THIS generation.
Five Crowns in Heaven:
The Imperishable Crown
The Crown of Rejoicing
The Crown of Righteousness
The Crown of Glory
The Crown of Life
The difference is, in Stephens day the crowds stoned people with actual stones. In 2022, they stone people with words. I think Jonah wasn't stoned. The story says the whole city (Google history) Repented.
We just have to figure out what 2022 looks like as far as:
In the days of Noah
In the days of Jonah

Romans 8:26,
Hopefully these are helpful
Agape. RP

James 4:3,
Hopefully this is helpful
King James Version (KJV)
Peace

There is also a search tab, where you can try searching the site.
1. to observe a Sabbath: you really have to plan
2 someone has to prepare beforehand
3. Shop for things beforehand
4. It opened my understanding of the scripture & GOD's compassion
Here are multiple scriptures on the Sabbath :
Genesis 2:2,3 (set Sabbath apart), Exodus 16:19-30 (significant differece on Sabbath) , * Exodus 23:11, Exodus 20:11 (blessed & set apart), * Exodus 23:12, Exodus 31:15, Exodus 34:21, Exodus 35:2, Leviticus 16:29-34 (atonement), Leviticus 23:1-10, (seventh day & Passover), * Leviticus 23:21-22, Leviticus 23:27-29 (atonement), Leviticus 23:28-32, * Deuteronomy 5:14, 2 Chronicles 2:4 (forever to Israel), * Isaiah 1:11-18, * Isaiah 56:1-8, * Isaiah 58:6-14,
Jesus observed Matthew 12:8, Mark 1:21, Mark 6:2, Mark 15:42, Luke 4:16,
Jesus set examples on Sabbath * Matthew 12, * Mark 2, * Mark 3, * Luke 6, & many more.
* please note the (*s) these were scriptures that showed compassion & the importance to GOD. (Opposite: Luke 11:42-46 hypocrisy)
By observing the Sabbath do we= Matthew 25:31-46,
Believers know they've been snared.
FILL UP ON JESUS.
