Regarding the Lord Jesus Christ: "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." ( John 1:10-13)

If your precious ones come to trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, they would have God almighty as their loving Father.

John 6:63: " It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

That depends on who saved you.

    The words of Jesus:

John 6:37-40 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

If you lose that, it wasn't the least bit everlasting.

You can certainly undermine your assurance and your fellowship with the LORD ( Hebrews 3:12-19)

When we speak the Word of God we are speaking God Himself into the situation. God and His Word are the same - one. God is a Living Spirit, and His Word is Living Spirit and Life, and full of God's Power. When we speak the Word into any situation or circumstance, we are bringing God on the scene with all of His Life and Power to work in our behalf. It is a Holy Mystery. Awesome

The Word of God is God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God (Jesus), and the Word WAS GOD" (St. John 1:1). I take this literally not symbolically. Whenever I speak the Word of God to any part of my body or situation, I am actually bringing God into the situation. Because God and His Word are one! It is a Holy Mystery and cannot be understood with the natural mind, but my born-again spirit knows and understands. Awesome !!

    Revelation 14:1

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb (Jesus) stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

    Revelation 7:4

And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

    Revelation 14:3

And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

I learned something today. I'm glad you made this comment.

We need you to come back, often as as you can, and show us other Rhema truths That the Holy Spirit has opened to you.

I asked the Lord once, what happens with these people that are preached to by the 144,000 preachers during the Tribulation; the people pray to receive Jesus; they survive physically.

    Will their bodies be transformed?

Why is Satan released to tempt? Who is he going to tempt?

It's a mystery that will not be revealed fully, because a lot of people would procrastinate and think, "well I'll just wait till the last minute to ask for salvation." That's not an attitude of worshipping and adoring our Creator and Lord; desiring to be with Him for eternity.

They would risk being caught and beheaded for not accepting the Mark of the Beast and refusing to worship Antichrist.

The world has all kinds of new surveillance technology now: drones, infrared.

It will be a true blessing to not live in those kind of invasive methods. In heaven we can worship in spirit; no constraints. Yay.

    Any comments?

  • WHAT CAN WE EAT or IS IT CLEAN - In Reply on Isaiah 66:17 - 5 years ago
    Romans 14:14

I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

    Romans 14:15

But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

    John 6:27

Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Comment: basically nothing is forbidden if you PRAY over your food before eating it.

I pray this often if I get take out food:

"Lord thank you for your provision and the blessing of food. I ask You to bless and sanctify it and make it healthy for me to eat. I receive this meal in the Name of Jesus. Amen!"

I picked this variety of verses to show that meat eaters and vegetarians can all eat what they want. With joy and appetite.

Also, There is spiritual meat that the Christian can ask the Lord to give to him. It has to do with deeper truth. Trust the Holy Spirit (your teacher who oversees your growth) to give you the meat.

In this day and age, I always ask the Lord to bless and sanctify the food. We don't know where it comes from, do we?

We are seated with Christ in the heavens with him as soon as we are saved where we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The dead who know nothing at all (psalms) are all those who died before Christ came. Some came out of their graves immediately when Christ was crucified and the earthquake happened. The others will be resurrected when he returns, but we who are saved by his blood go to be with him immediately, exactly as he said it to the believer who was crucified right next to him. Today, you will be with me in paradise. That paradise, the New Heavens, IS Jesus, and is inside of HIM, where no evil can enter in. It is finished. Thank you victorious Lord Jesus, my God and savior.

12 And God said, This is the TOKEN of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

13 I do set MY BOW in the cloud, and it shall be for a TOKEN of a covenant between me and the earth.

14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that THE BOW shall be seen in the cloud:

15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16 And THE BOW shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

Jesse, finishing where the dead goes and how Paul nor John nor any man who has ever lived could be in heaven presently.

Job 14:1-2;10-13 Man dies and wastes away. Man dies and will not wake up until the heavens are no more. (We still have heavens so the dead are still dead)

In Job 14:14 Job knew he had to wait until his appointed time to be resurrected.

I Thessalonians 4:13-17 Those who are living will be changed...those in the grave will be raised at the coming of the Lord, which is the First Resurrection.

Psalms 146:1-4 When we die, in that very day every though perishes. So how could Paul, who died, still be alive in heaven with thoughts?

St. John 5:25; 28-29 All the dead will hear the voice of the Lord, some to everlasting life and some to eternal damnation.

Daniel 12:1-2; 8-9; 13 This is referring to the Great Tribulation. Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (Daniel was told this prophecy wasn't for him but it was for the people of the End times. The Lord sealed the words from Daniel.

St. John 6:35; 38-40; 44; 54;63 The Lord will raise people up on the Last Day.

A lot of people still believe the dead is in heaven or hell right now, but the truth according to many scriptures is every man, good or bad is still in the grave until the Lord's First and Second resurrection. If humans were in heaven right now, what need would there be for a resurrection? The only one who's not dead is Enoch...who was translated but not dead.

I'm certain you know these scriptures. But I hope that you will go over them again and maybe see something you hadn't noticed before since I've pointed out some things.

Paul died in Christ so he will be one of the dead in Christ who will be raised at the Lord's 2nd coming.

How do I know for sure a man from Rome will sit in the temple? (I'll finish in the the last thread.)

Greg, I have every confidence, based on God's Word, that all who belong to the Lord will be saved as we are eternally secure in Him. Ephesians is one letter that fills the believer with such joy & assurance to his position IN CHRIST.

I think of Eph 2:5,6:"Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved); And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus". This is NOW - not in the future.

    All of Ephesians chapter 1.

Eph 3:11,12: "According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him."

These are all portions (& many more) to remind us that our full salvation (in our redemption, position in Christ both now & after our departure from this Earth) are already accomplished for us in God's eternal Plan. This is that "sure hope" that fades not away - this is that confidence in Him that He is True & is faithful to the Promises He has given us. Our faith just takes hold of Him in simplicity & trust that He will do all that He has declared.

We should not be in wonder or doubt: our position IN CHRIST now, doesn't, yea cannot alter through to eternity: one could say, that for the believer, our eternity has already commenced, except we still walk by faith until that coming day when we shall see Him face to Face & proclaim the story: "we are here Lord, Saved by Grace, only by Your Grace".

The Lord be with your spirit Greg, & make your joy & confidence full & ever present.

  • Greg - In Reply on John 6:38 - 5 years ago
    Chris,

Concerning "where do our souls go after we die."

I see it basically the same way you do.

I try to always make it a point to use Scripture to back up Scripture (as you do); otherwise, I don't have much to say.

I use the parable of the rich man and Lazarus to justify that our bodies return to dust, and our "spirit returns to God Who gave it" ( Ecclesiastes 12:7).

I am hoping and praying that I am on the right side of the gulf waiting with Abraham and Lazarus and the others that have made it ( Luke 16:26).
  • Chris - In Reply on John 6:38 - 5 years ago
Greg, from what is revealed to us in Scripture about the rich man & Lazarus as well as what we understand about death & the destiny of the spirit, I have to understand that upon their death, their physical bodies remained in the grave & what Jesus described was their spirits (whether embodied by another substance or not), were present & active in Hades. I understand that their bodies are still in the grave (or, entombed) awaiting the general resurrection.

Mt 27:52,53: I understand speaks of a limited resurrection (of the saints) which pertained to the signs given when our Saviour died & then arose from His grave. We're not told what happened to 'those saints', whether transported into Heaven at Christ's Ascension or lived for a while again till their 'second' death. Maybe, in a similar way to the other Lazarus, Jesus' friend & Mary & Martha's brother, who was raised back to life & then died a second time.

So, in respect to the 'self acclaimed prophets of the religions': I specifically targeted them as those who claim that they brought God's message & subsequently received a great following of people, yet their bodies were no more different to ours, suffering the same fate in death, their bodies still lie in the grave & their spirits departing & awaiting the same fate in judgement. Therefore, to your: "When you say "their bodies lie in the grave" do you believe that only Jesus is in heaven", I understand, post Ascension, no physical body from the Earth is presently in Heaven or Hell, but their spirits are in that place appointed to them awaiting reward or final judgement. As well, I don't subscribe to 'soul sleep'. How do you see it?
  • Greg - In Reply on John 6:38 - 5 years ago
    Chris,

When you say "their bodies lie in the grave" do you believe that only Jesus is in heaven.

If that is true, how do we understand what happened with the rich man and Lazarus?

See you there, hapily, gratefully, smiling and crying (for joy) at the same time. His church, his bride, New Jerursalem, we who wait for him, love him, receive his words and obey them. We have little time left here so Lord, teach us to number our days and apply our hearts to wisdom. Hold that fast til he comes and keep praying to escape all the things that are coming upon this world and be found by him living in joy. But how, with the terrors and hatred that will be coming at all of us from everyone, everywhere as these very last days are here. I'm still trying to love my enemies that pursue and make prey out of me, but my natural reaction is to hate them. Stephen and Jesus are our examples, love and pray for those who persecute you. God will perfect that which concerns us. Be strong. See you there. Love you.

Amen indeed. You've shared Great Truths of our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ Who also said, "because I live, ye shall live also." Jn 14:19. The fact that He gave His Life for us all by His death & then rose to resurrection Life for our justification, gave the full meaning to what He said to the people, how He lived His Life before the people, & His willingness to lay it down for each of them & us. No other self acclaimed prophet of the religions of the world has done or could ever do what Jesus has done: their bodies remain in the grave - the Lord Jesus arose & is the Lord of Glory ever living to make intercession for us.

Who is God? He is the all MIGHTY Creator of our entire universe. We as humans seem to forget He is always around us. We seem to be in our world. Me Myself and I. Easy to anger- easy to Judge others. But do you ever take the time to ask God what He wants of us? Do we ever turn around to the less fortunate and ask them what they need? The churches think they are so all mighty. But l have watched the cold hearts toward the needy. Jesus was always around for anyone that needed him. Was there anyone around to show their Love before the cross? What about now. What are we to become in these days of evilness and control? Our children...our God. Jesus gave a detailed discourse about the Bread of Life to the same multitude who had just partaken of the five barley loaves and two small fishes. Throughout His ministry, Jesus was teaching the people that He had been sent from God to carry out the will of the Father. He taught that He alone is able to satisfy the hungry soul and provide for our bodily needs. He was proclaiming to be the promised Messiah, Who had come in fulfilment of Scripture. Jesus wanted to show... that just as He was able to heal all their sicknesses and provide for their physical needs, He is also the One Who could heal the broken soul, release them from the slave-market of sin, bind up their emotional distresses, bring inner peace and joy to their heart. Jesus alone is the One that can supply the spiritual food, every one of us so desperately needs. Jesus often used the natural to illustrate a spiritual truth, and the feeding of their bodies with food, was used as a demonstration of what He could do for them in the spiritual realm. Jesus referred to Himself as 'the Bread of Life' to emphasise the lesson He wanted them to learn. 'I am the bread of life", He told them. "No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in Me will ever thirst again.

Jesus told this crowd the truth, when He called Himself 'the Bread of Life'.. for in Him was Life. In Him was Life everlasting. He was the Giver of Life, and He is the Sustainer of Life. When He referred to Himself as 'the Bread of Life', He was meaning spiritual Life - eternal Life. He came to bring hope for the lost, joy for the sorrowing, strength for the weak and encouragement for the downhearted. And He came to supply spiritual food for the hungry soul. Jesus came down to earth from heaven, to breathe new life into those who were dead in their sin and estranged from God.

The Lord Jesus did not simply come to sustain their physical life but to give eternal life, and this was the vital message. And so be it.

When did Jesus say the dead in Christ would be resurrected?

John 6:39-40: Jesus said, "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up ON THE LAST DAY.

John 6:44: Jesus said, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up ON THE LAST DAY."

Is the LAST DAY the thousand year reign of Christ?

I believe so....then it is eternity and time is counted no more

So if Jesus himself said the dead in Christ will be raised on the LAST DAY, and Paul said we who are alive and remain will not be caught up (raptured) until AFTER the dead are raised, then where does secret pre-trib rapture fit in?

Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:52 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

We are changed at the LAST TRUMP and where is this found?

In REVELATION, the LAST BOOK of the Bible there are 7 trumps and the 7th trump is the LAST ONE and is at the end of the tribulation. there is not a 7th last trump prior to the tribulation.
  • WHAT DOES GOD LOOK LIKE - In Reply on Luke 14:26 - 5 years ago
God is Spirit. There are MANY scriptures on God being seen. If you read it slowly, you will see the description is in imagery.

Go get some pen & paper and write down these scriptures; then you can read them and picture God in your heart when you pray.

    John 1:18, John 6:46, John 5:37

    1 John 4:12, 1 John 3:6, 1 John 4:20

    1 Timothy 1:17, 1 Timothy 6:16

    Luke 1:31-32, Matthew 22, Romans 1:20

    Philippians 2, Hebrews 1:1-13,

    Colossians 1:15

    Deuteronomy 4:12, 15. Exodus 3:6

    Exodus 33:20-23

    Isaiah 38:11, Isaiah 64:4

    Job 9:11, Job 35:14, Job 23:8

This is a ps from me: if you have "pictures of God" (some artist imagined) in your home? You need to get rid of them,

According to Exodus 20. That's not a photograph of God and is considered to be a graven image. Crosses on the wall is ok, but not images.

I have 1 still life painting of a bowl of fruit and a pitcher of water. It makes me think of eating a meal with Jesus.

  • Jesus is the Bread of Life - In Reply on John 6:68 - 5 years ago
Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you NOT that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you THE TRUE BREAD from heaven.

For the bread of God is HE which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

For now, this is why we celebrate Communion together, in remembrance of Jesus: at the Lords Supper.

A lot of people do not think it's proper to observe The Lords Supper at home. Alone or with family and friends. I don't agree.

The disciples rented the room, for the night of the Lords Supper. It wasn't a church.

If the Government closes our churches: we can still meet together other ways. If we've been in church all of lives, we know the seriousness of this celebration.

First we must forgive EVERYONE who has wronged us. If we partake without doing that, we bring condemnation on ourselves.

If we don't forgive others, that's why it feels like God is not listening to our prayers. It's a serious thing: unforgiveness. It's hard to remember all the faces who angered us.

You can ask the Holy Spirit to call those faces to your remembrance.

The act of forgiving those who don't even deserve it... is one of the most freeing spiritual moments a Christian can experience with God, our Father; Jesus our Savior.

The people we hold captive in our hearts and minds are the door that Satan uses to approach the Throne of God to accuse us.

Just say " I forgive you" over and over, until it takes root in your heart. God wants us to be free to worship in purity; heart, soul and mind. Pray about this.

The First Resurrection is of the dead in Christ and the Second is after 1000 years. Paul wrote that the Dead in Christ MUST rise FIRST, THEN we who are alive and remain will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

    1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

16 ...and the dead in Christ shall RISE FIRST

17 THEN we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them...

In Rev. 20:4-5, John sees the souls of Saints who were BEHEADED for refusing the Mark of the Beast during the Great Tribulation. John writes that they will rise and reign with Christ for 1000 years and that this is the FIRST RESURRECTION!

If according to John, the beheaded rise in the FIRST resurrection and Paul said those who are alive and remain are not caught up until AFTER the dead in Christ are resurrected, then this means the catching up or rapture takes place AFTER tribulation!

Now compare the above with 1 CORINTHIANS 15:20-23:

20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of those who slept.

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; AFTERWARDS THOSE WHO ARE CHRIST'S AT HIS COMING.

Notice only one resurrection of the dead in Christ is mentioned here! Which, according to Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 must take place BEFORE we who are alive and remain are "caught up" with them!

When did Jesus say the dead in Christ would be resurrected?

John 6:39-40: Jesus said, "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up ON THE LAST DAY.
