The marraige in cana was also if you look spiritually, Jesus was giving a pariable....Read it as it reads, the 6 waterpots of stone, stone was made of clay as adam was, 6 being the number of man as adam was created on the 6th day. 6 waterpots folled with water, is a symbol of a man. turnef to wine is being born again.
Awesome,is d love of God demonstrated by d lord Jesus Christ. He knew d tym of d father 4 him,yet He obediently and miraculously turn water in2 wine to glorify God,even a better wine.with Jesus,we can never be stranded, only believe.O lord help my unbelief.
Concerning the wedding feast in those days, the wine was stored for only 1 year, and was used before the new wine was used, and as we are told they ran out, and eventhough it was not yet time for Jesus to do miracles, he respectfully told his mom, "What have I to do with you?, it is not yet my time!, but out of love he turned the water into the most perfect wine ever.
Jesus also tried to tell her in such a way as to say, not only is it not my time, but this is not my job, his miracles were done for a specific reason, to glorify God, fullfil scripture, and importantly, for those who would believe, that is they were faith based!
hes telling her like silly mom not this kind of wine am i talkin about all the time thats to come later very respectful in a son to mom way cuz she is still his mom
1 john 2:23 religious people in our present times is very biblical in 2 TIMOTHY 3:7 TO BE EVER LEARNING AND NEVER ABLE TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH. IN FACT ALMOST ALL OF THE PEOPLE NOW IN THE WORLD NO LONGER BELIEVE NOR WORSHIP NOR PRAISE HIM NOR GIVING GLORY TO HIM EVEN GIVING THANKS TO HIM WHERE WE OWE EVERYTHING. PEOPLE NOW ARE LEARNING NOT TO BELIEVING THE WORD OF GOD BUT FINDING ANOTHER WAY OF UNDERSTANDING DRAGGING PEOPLE NOT TO BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE ONLY TRUE GOD. ONLY TRUE GOD MEANING THERE IS NO OTHER. IT IS HE THAT IS WITHIN THE BODY OF CHRIST THAT ALWAYS SPEAKS ON THE HEAVENLY THINGS HE THAT WORKS MIRACLES HE THAT OFFERED US SALVATION HE THAT TEACHES WHAT TO BELIEVE AND WHAT TO DO ONLY GOD CAN TELL US THE WAY INTO HEAVEN WHERE HE WAS BEFORE. IT IS NOT DEBATABLE BUT WE ARE TOLD TO BELIEVE. AMEN...
This very first act of Jesus was so awesome. Not only does Jesus know His Fathers will but he tells his mother "it is not yet my time". But because of obedience to his mother, He honored her. And up on the cross He tells us that "His work is finished"! We then see at His feet while up on the cross is His mother, present, when Jesus says "it is finished. Make no mistake about it, Jesus knew when to begin and when to finish the work of the Father God. And lets keep in mind as the water saw its maker...it blushed! And now for those of you that think divorce is ok...look at how our Lord Jesus ties these two souls together. It is to say, what God ties together is never to be seperated. Just as we read the Word we are not to seperate the old and new testement. They are binded together forever and in it's finish we see our Salvation/Heaven. Be at peace and in that peace you will find your rest.
Lou - The Old Testament is there for more than remembrance, it is still in effect. We are still expected to obey and follow the Old Testament Laws, statutes, and Feasts - even under grace. This is stated throughout the New Testament, it's how you show your faith and love - by being obedient. 1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
1 John 2:3-4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
There are many, many others as well, but you get the idea. In fact, a real clear example is the book of Revelation. Revelation 12:17 ... And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 14:12... Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 22:14... Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
The devil (dragon) wages war during the Tribulation Period with those that keep the commandments AND have faith in Christ. The saints are those that keep the commandments AND have faith in Christ. True belief requires BOTH.
I'm hope this helps, and clears up some of the misconceptions about the laws being done away with.
In addition to the many verses quoted earlier about obedience, I would like to add a few more:
1 John 2:3-4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Jesus were given his disciples and followers specific commands, a kind of worldwide works that individually should follow,if truly they are an obedient followers. This is about the preaching work about the Kingdom of God and discipleship making. Please read Matthew 24:14 and Matthew 28:18,20
But most people around the world still do not know what is the Kingdom of God? And which among many religions are truly followers of Jesus, since Jesus himself warned that "many" will confess him as Lord but "will deceived many"- Matthew 24:4,5
The safest things to do is to stay at home and wait someone to knock on our door. Why? Because Jesus had specific command to his true followers, at Matthew 10:5-11 Jesus commanded his follower to " Preach the good news of the kingdom of God through house to house method, village to village and city to city." Also read Acts 20:20
Yes, if we are truly determined to obey Jesus command, We should stick to his "specific" teachings and wait until we meet this kind of people, right on our doorway. Ask them like, " Do you know what is the Kingdom of God?"
Here are some truth about the Kingdom of God:
When Will
God’s Kingdom Come?
“LORD, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?” ( Acts 1:6) The apostles were eager to know when Jesus would establish his Kingdom. Today, some 2,000 years later, people are still eager to know: When will God’s Kingdom come?
Since Jesus made the Kingdom the theme of his preaching, you might expect that he discussed this question. And indeed he did! He spoke extensively about a marked period of time that he called his “presence.” ( Matthew 24:37) That presence is closely tied to the establishment of the Messianic Kingdom. What is this presence? Let us consider four truths the Bible reveals about the presence of Christ.
1. Christ’s presence would begin a long time after his death. Jesus gave an illustration in which he likened himself to a man who “traveled to a distant land to secure kingly power,” or to “secure a kingdom.” ( Luke 19:12; footnote) How was that prophetic illustration fulfilled? Well, Jesus died and was resurrected; then he traveled to the “distant land,” that is, heaven. As Jesus foretold in a similar illustration, his return in kingly power would come only “after a long time.”— Matthew 25:19.
Some years after Jesus ascended to heaven, the apostle Paul wrote: “This man [Jesus] offered one sacrifice for sins perpetually and sat down at the right hand of God, from then on awaiting until his enemies should be placed as a stool for his feet.” ( Hebrews 10:12, 13) So a lengthy period of waiting followed Jesus’ arrival in heaven. The wait finally ended when Jehovah God made his Son the King of the long-promised Messianic Kingdom. That was when Christ’s presence began. Would humans on earth see this momentous event?
2. The presence is invisible to human eyes. Remember, Jesus discussed the sign of his presence. ( Matthew 24:3) If his presence were visible to human eyes, would a sign be needed? To illustrate: Imagine that you are traveling to see the ocean. You may see road signs directing you along the way, but once you are at the shore, standing at the water’s edge with the vast expanse of water stretching out to the horizon, would you expect to see a sign with a big arrow pointing ahead, emblazoned with the word “Ocean”? Of course not! Why have a sign to point out what you can easily identify with your eyes?
Jesus described the sign of his presence, not to point out something that humans could see with their eyes, but to help them discern something that would occur in heaven. Thus, Jesus said: “The kingdom of God is not coming with striking observableness.” ( Luke 17:20) How, then, would the sign show those on earth that Christ’s presence had begun?
3. Jesus’ presence would be marked by a time of profound troubles here on earth. Jesus said that his presence as King in heaven would be marked on earth by wars, famines, earthquakes, pestilences, and lawlessness. ( Matthew 24:7-12; Luke 21:10, 11) What would cause all this misery? The Bible explains that Satan, “the ruler of this world,” is full of rage because he knows that his time is very short now that Christ’s presence as King has begun. ( John 12:31; Revelation 12:9, 12) Such visible evidence of Satan’s rage and of Christ’s presence has been abundant in our time. Especially since 1914, a year that historians acknowledge was a turning point, has this evidence appeared on an unprecedented and global scale.
All of that may sound like bad news, but it is not. It means that the Messianic Kingdom is ruling now in heaven. Very soon, that government will exercise its rule right here over all the earth. How, though, would people know about that Kingdom in order to accept its rule and become its subjects?
The bad news we hear every day proves that good things are coming soon
Two women discussing Jesus' prophecy
4. Jesus’ presence is marked by a global preaching work. Jesus said that his presence would be like “the days of Noah.”* ( Matthew 24:37-39) Noah was more than an ark builder; he was also “a preacher of righteousness.” ( 2 Peter 2:5) Noah warned people that a judgment from God was on its way. Jesus said that his followers on earth would be doing something similar during his presence. He prophesied: “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.”— Matthew 24:14.
As we saw in the preceding article, God’s Kingdom will destroy all the governments of this world. The preaching work alerts people that this heavenly government is about to act, giving all an opportunity to escape the coming destruction and become subjects of that Kingdom. The key question, then, is, How will you respond?
Will God’s Kingdom Mean Good News for You?
The message that Jesus preached was one of incomparable hope. After the rebellion in Eden thousands of years ago, Jehovah God purposed to form a government that would set matters right, returning faithful humans to the condition that God had in mind for them from the start—life eternal in a paradise here on earth. What could be more thrilling than the knowledge that this long-promised government is ruling right now in heaven? It is not some remote, abstract concept but a living reality!
Now, God’s appointed King is ruling in the midst of his enemies. ( Psalm 110:2) In this corrupt world alienated from God, the Messiah is fulfilling his Father’s desire to search out all who want to come to know God as he really is and to worship him “with spirit and truth.” ( John 4:24) The hope of living forever under the rule of God’s Kingdom is available to people of all races, ages, and social backgrounds. ( Acts 10:34, 35) We urge you to take hold of the marvelous opportunity before you. Learn about God’s Kingdom now, so that you can enjoy living under its righteous rule forever!—1 John 2:17.
Indeed it is apparent from the Lords dealiongs with those whomsold merchandise in the temple that he must be unhappy with the wicked practice of those in orghanized religion whom sell bibles and books they write about the bible. This practice is an abomination as any minister should give away such literature. the financing should come from Christian gifts to publish materials and bibles. To sell them is an act of a man whois not led by Gods Spirit "Freely you have recieved , freely give"
WOW! That is so awesomely beautiful how the Lord Jesus made Himself known One on one to you in those 14 seconds. No, there's no reincarnation of mankind, as far as any of us having lived prior to this life.
There are devils; evil spirits; evil angels, who WERE God's angels, and thus 'sons of God,' who, along with Lucifer (now Satan,) turned from God, and fell from Heaven, and had sexual relations with some of the women of mankind, which women therefore had children by those devils.
While one may say that those children were half human; mankind, and half-devil, that's not the case. As, the ONLY thing human; mankind, about them would be their 'fleshly bodies.' Inside those bodies were NOT any SOULS, but evil spirits; devils. And God's Word referes to those devils as 'men of renown,' because they lived prior to being born into human bodies.
Genesis 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of RENOWN.
But I can understand why you would feel like you were one of the apostles, because once you received Jesus Christ, you became a member of 'the FAMILY OF JESUS CHRIST.' We cannot help from feeling like we KNOW one another, and as if we've known one another all our lives. It's the Spirit of God that's in each of us. You were not personally there back in the days of the apostles. But the Lord God Who is IN you, and Whom you are IN, was there. And your spirit is joined with Him; with the Spirit of God.
As a matter of fact, since you are filled with the Holy Ghost; the Spirit of God, you KNOW ALL THINGS in your heart. You, and I, and all those filled with His Spirit, just don't UNDERSTAND all those things. But our hearts KNOW. That's why when we hear, or read, the truth, it bears witness in our hearts, we KNOW it's true, even if we can't understand why, or how, it's true, etc..
1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
EPHESIANS 3:1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.
Amen.
HEBREWS 12:18 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
21 And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
______________________________________________
Almighty God has such a special and great purpose
for your book! He foresees what's coming. As, He is getting ready to shake this world like never before, to make one last MIGHTY CALL unto mankind to ESCAPE the Great Tribulation. And even though the Great Tribulation is not the worst thing, as God's WRATH TO COME thereafter is worse than that, and the worse of all is ETERNAL DAMNATION, still, the Great Tribulation is going to be horrible, because no one will be upon earth that has the Spirit of God in him, or her. All those that have His Spirit are, altogether, His BODY of people, to Whom He is their Head, and are all us that have received Him; Christ, our Head, and serve Him, and will all be drawn up to meet Him in the air before the Great Tribulation takes place.
The Great Tribulation is a time when everyone that believes God, and His Son, are real, and that they SHOULD HAVE received Christ, and repented of sin, and desired to obey Him, will WISH THEY HAD NOT PUT HIM OFF. Because they will then see JUST HOW very wicked this world is, that it is NOT for them, and that all that time they spent serving the world just to please themselves was NOT WORTH IT.
God will use that time to let the eyes of many be opened, and let them seek Him, and find Him, but they will end up having be beheaded; lose their lives, as far as physically, in order to make it to be with Him.
I see it like this, had they been serving their TRUE Head, Christ, they would not have had to lose their own physical head.
But they will gladly do so, knowing that they will rise up to heaven instantly.
But during the Great Tribulation, prior to those that repent of their sins before God being beheaded, God will greatly use them to tell, and teach, others about Him, those that never received Him before. There's a scripture in the Old Testament that, speaking of that time, says 'Do not go to them, let them come to you.'
In other words, the Lord, using His angels, will be helping His people HIDE OUT from wicked people trying to find and kill them. When it is time for them to die, GOD Himself will decide that, and not the devil.
But prior to the Great Tribulation, again, the Lord is ready to make one last mighty call unto mankind. It's already started, as people are getting frantic, uncertain, and very uncomfortable, with the way the world seems to be getting by with mocking, and insulting, the Lord God; the Lord Jesus. People, even those that have refused to receive Him, are so like a bunch of kids. While little kids want their way, and like to try to get by with wrong things, I've always noticed how, regardless of how they may try, they would feel betrayed, unloved, and abondoned, if no one cared enough about them to NOT LET THEM get by. There's something about knowing someone cares enough about you to scold you, and try discourage you from wrong, even if you want to do the wrong.
And what I have seen lately are people who, even though they have not received the Lord, and repented of their sins, they are very disturbed at it seeming as if the Lord God Whom they KNOW is true, even though they have not yet received His Christ; His Word; His only begotten Son, is seeming not very powerful, or why would He let the world get by with all the evil onslaughts, and all the speaking as if they have the right to SILENCE His people.
The Lord is merely allowing it temporarily, for His own reasons, His own purpose, His own glory, and to the TOTAL SURPRISE of the wicked. He is now letting; incouraging, all those that want to choose the side of Satan, to go ahead and do so, and be as bold as they can be about it (for now.) It's call 'separating the sheep from the goats; the tares from the wheat.' He is letting everyone TAKE THEIR STANCE.
But BEFORE He calls; draws, His people in whom all is His Spirit, up to meet Him in the air, things are going to happen, earthquakes like never before, whirlwinds; hurricanes, floods, etc., fires, that are going to destroy (not KILL) all those that have not received Him, and those that have that have been walking in sin against Him, devasting them more than they ever imagined could happen. And WE will be the only ones safe and sound, and shining like LIGHTS unto all that WILL run to us to hear about the Lord our God Who's Spirit is IN US, and Who's POWER we have working in and through us.
Once, during that time, all will hear that will hear, and receive Him, which the Lord will give a certain amount of time, He will then draw us, and all those that are newly born of Him, up to meet Him in the air.
And THEN the Anti-Christ; Satan, will sit and decare his ugly liar self as God.
I want to tell you something the Lord told me; gave me, sort of like a poem, about 4 years ago, when He began showing me these things. But I need to get to sleep. I will write more tomoro. Love in Christ Jesus,
Donna
What I meant by the reference to Mark 4, is that although the word "revelation" means to reveal, If you take the book literally, you WILL fall into error. for example in 1 John 2:18 it reads that antichrist was ALREADY in the world. So either he's a 2000 year old man, or it's referring to the spirit of antichrist, a lying spirit who's sole purpose is to lead people into error through false doctrines. Daniel 12:9 says that the seals would be tsken off the book at the time of the end. Don't trust what you may have been taught in a church. Compare scripture with scripture. Seek GOD'S wisdom, not man's. See Proverbs 25:2
2:3 here by Know we that we Know him if we keep His commandments ...Ralph the commandments spoken of here Are 3:23 you mentioned Mathew 7:21 Not every one that says unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the Kingdom of heaven but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me that all that seeth the son and believeth on him may have everlasting life and I will raise him up at the last day Mat 7:22 In that day many will say unto me Lord Lord have WE not prophosized in thy name cast out demons in thy name and in thy name 1 done many wonderfull works they are trying to get into heaven by thier works Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of Your it is the gift of God not of works lest any man should boast Mat 7:23 Then will I profess unto them i never new you depart from me ye that work iniquity 1John 2:3 hereby know we that we know him if we keep his Commandments 3:23 And this is his commandment that we believe on the name of his son Jesus Christ And love one another as he gave commandment
Chapter 2 is great. The Savior was wonderful in his miracle of the water to wine and the example of the Temple only goes to the sacredness of the Temple. I believe the Pharisees new what Christ spoke of and they only questioned him to confuse and keep at bay the people as Christ was taking them out of their position of power by his answers and teachings.
Dead in three days
Jesus also tried to tell her in such a way as to say, not only is it not my time, but this is not my job, his miracles were done for a specific reason, to glorify God, fullfil scripture, and importantly, for those who would believe, that is they were faith based!
1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

There are many, many others as well, but you get the idea. In fact, a real clear example is the book of Revelation.

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

Love in Christ Jesus,
Donna
