Wine in the Bible reresents Joy. Without the Joy of the Lord first in any marriage it could fail. We need to put Christ first in everything we do. The leadership of Christ in our lives will help make any OLD or NEW marriage better!!

The actions of yeshua here regarding the answer to Mary was simply honoring the ten commandments. He first honored His mother. If we look at the ten comandmants and this verse, we can see how Yeshua is giving us an example as children to our parents. It also shows how a parent respects the space of their children. We can see this verse in difrent ways but I believe the most important way to see this is like this: Yeshua is God, so... how come He is under a woman's authority? The simple answer is in the next chapters were he says that he didn't come to change the law's but to perfect them. Everything that is written by yeshua was simply to show us how to live.. being the Lord of Host he gave everything to humble himself to serve us.

Everyday life brings grief and it doesn 't matter what era you are born in. This is when we run to the word of God. John knew this when he penned the words in 1 John 2:14, I write unto you young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. There is nothing that will encourage or strengthen one like the word of God does. We are reading and it 's like a verse is lifted off the page and you know that it 's just for you.

love not the world or the things of the world..... two things that God commands us not to love. 1. ' 'The world ' ',this describes the order, the fashion, the behaviour, and the government that makes up the world, Genesis 6 vs 5,12 2. "things in the world ",these are the evil elements that come out of "the world ".1st John 2:16,the lust of the flesh works of the flesh, Galatians 1:19 ,the list of the eye 2nd Peter 2:14,the pride of life, this involve power, riches, beauty, position etc. These are what the Bible described as mammon, that is why is a command from God that we should not love them but instead love God with all your hearth.Thank

What a man invest his time in will become dominant. To invest your time memorizing scripture will help you think right and live right. The purpose is in holy living. 1 John 2:14B states, I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

GEN 1-4-19...Rachel, the Angels rejoice, whenever a soul is saved. And it is the Lord 's desire to teach you himself, because in Him is only pure truth. We live in perilous times, times where we can leave nothing to chance! In I John 2:27...But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.... If you do happen to have a question, feel free to ask, I am a 7th day Sabbath believer, I do not follow the man-made tradition of sunday which is against God 's Will. But thank the Lord for you. AND PRAISE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, AND HIS HOLY SON YESHUA. AMEN!!

It is should be plain for all to see, that when we love YHWH, we keep his commandments. Sadly, the church, so called, teaches that the commandments are "done away with ". Or as some say, "that stuff is for Jews ". What utter nonsense. The following are just a few supporting scriptures to add to 1John 2:4. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates of the city. Rev 22:14 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 1John 2:3 For this is the love of YHWH, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1John 5:3 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and teach men so, and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5:19 By lack of study, we have allowed ourselves to be deceived by foolish teachers, making ourselves to be fools.

The first thing we must understand is that LOVE NOT THE WORLD OR ANYTHING THAT BELONGS TO TH E WORLD is a COMMAND and who is the COMMAND given to ? 1. The COMMAND is given to those whose SINS are FORGIVEN 1 JOHN 2:12 2. The COMMAND is given to those who have DEFEATED the EVIL ONE 1 JOHN 2:13 3.The COMMAND iS given to those who KNOW the FATHER 1JOHN 2:14 MEANING THE COMMAND ' ' LOVE NOT THE LOVE WORLD OR ANYTHING THAT BELONGS TO THE WORLD ' ' IS A COMMAND TO EVERY BELIEVE OR CHRISTIAN .....AND THEREFORE WE MUST HATE WHAT GOD HATES!!! The second thing we must also understand is that the COMMAND LOVE NOT THE WORLD OR ANYTHING THAT BELONGS TO THE WORLD is not refering to the Human World 1JOHN 3:16 but Satan 's System of ruling 1JOHN 5 :19 MARANATHA!!!!!!!! REPENT! AND LOVE NOT THE WORLD OR ANYTHING THAT BELONGS TO THE WORLD BECAUSE JESUS IS COMING VERY QUICK REVELATION 1:7

This rock in Matthew 16:18 is a reference to Jesus Christ just as in John 2:19 this temple was a reference to Jesus Christ. Jesus is the rock Psalms 62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation Many today have the wrong rock like Deuteronomy 32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. The Bible says that Peter is a stone John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. And he is one among many 1 Peter 2:5. Peter preached a kingdom message with those keys which opens doors for opportunities to preach. See 1 Cor 16:9, and 2 Cor 2:12 for example. Today we listen to Paul our apostle Rom 11:13, Acts 9:15, 1 Tim 2:7, etc. who preaches Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

I want to point out something here, to all of you who think that the Old Testament and the Commandments of the Torah are for "just for Jews ". And that we are under grace and not under the law so we don 't have to follow the Law anymore. Paul instructs Timothy that all Scripture is good for sound doctrine. I 'm positive he was not referring to his letter to the Galatians when he said: 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Check it out. 1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Here we see Jesus taking the time to make a scourge probably from the cords that were laying on the floor from the animals being brought in. This is a deliberate action on Jesus 's part. You can see him as takes the time while the zeal for His Father 's house is being marred. This is a different side of Jesus that many people fail to see. We often talk about the love of Jesus and fail to His Righteous indignation. They are about to experience this in the next verse.

With everything in context you would have to assume that Jesus isn 't well known at this point at least to the money changers. This is early in his ministry and they just left Capernaum where he did his first miracle. That 's about to change. This verse states he found those that sold oxen and sheep and doves and changers of money sitting in the temple. The selling of those things wasn 't wrong, nor was the money exchanging going on so far as they weren 't merchandising the people. It was where they were doing it, in the temple of God that was the problem.
  • Mike D on John 2:13 - 10 years ago
It 's no surprise that we see Jesus attending the Passover, he had been doing that since his youth. What is surprising is what will happen in the next verse. For many the Jewish faith was corrupt and mechanical. Scandal had over taken the process with the money changers cheating the people as they brought their different currencies and would have to exchange for the currency used in Jerusalem. Along with that the people often brought good sacrifices that were refused and would have to buy another at outrages price. This is the setting for what will happen
  • RNM 2-31 on Romans 2 - 10 years ago
ROM 2-31...Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest:...The whole of the reformation collapsed over this one key point the 7th day Sabbath, they got everything else right but that. Just like in todays world, the protestant church has it mostly right, except for that one key point, the 7th day Sabbath, I am not obsesses with this day, but I feel that it is a "grey " area. Even though I am convinced of it, the New Testament is filled with scriptures expounding the seriousness of being Obedient to GOD by keeping the Commandments, therefore it is for us to keep the 4th Commandment the 7th day, Holy to GOD, aside from all the rules that was nailed to HIS cross .. and to continue on with the truth of the scriptures in Malachi 3:6--I am the LORD, I change not. or Hebrews 13:8--Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and for ever. SO, what you are saying, GOD does change, and HE is a liar, according to your beliefs. I JOHN 2:4 HE THAT SAITH, I KNOW HIM, AND KEEPETH NOT HIS COMMMANDMENTS, IS A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM.... I do not go, belong, am affiliated, or have been indoctrinated into any church, just for the record! I know their are others like me, but its a small following:... MATT 7:14-Becuase strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Like I said Years ago, break out of the fog of delusion, repent, and worship GOD in truth. GOD IS IN COMMAND, PRAISE HIM, AMEN!!

Here we see Jesus responding to a religious man who, if taken in context, was caught up in the moment. The first part of this chapter we see Jesus doing numerous miracles. No doubt this man was in the crowds excited about the miracles but not the Savior. John 2:24 25 show Jesus and his ability to see the heart. Jesus also is showing the way of the Christian is difficult. We are to count the cost. Jesus said, pick up you cross and follow me. Preach that in the church today and see who 's missing the next Sunday.
  • Mike Dorwart on Matthew 8:10 - 10 years ago
This is a amazing statement coming from the lips of Jesus. We see Jesus in his humanity surprised at the response of a Roman centurion. In John 2:25 we se that Jesus had the ability to see the hearts of men, also in John 1:47 48 we see Jesus revealing to Nathanael facts about a man he had never personally met. This would be the God man.

Yahshua promised His disciples that He would return for them within their lifetimes. The apostles fully expected this, and it can be seen by Matt 10:23, Matt 24:29-31, 2 Thess 2, 1 John 2:18, Rev 22:20 and many many other places. He did return in 79 AD at the eruption of Mt Vesuvius to receive the elect. It is not well recorded in history, but it did happen, otherwise Lease is right and He was a liar.
  • RNM REV CHP 19-----3 on Revelation 19 - 10 years ago
I John 2:4-- He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Rev. 18:4- Come out of her my people, satan has a world wide organized party of people, churches, so-called Christian organizations that are in his power, his clenched fist, they have given there love and obedience to him because he soothes the root core of their human existence, which pleases them. But in Obedience to the Master they serve, they try to drag down every human soul, that should belong to the Creator, in there blind obedience to Him! They will stand before their Creator one day and give and answer to him. AMEN!!
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Matthew 5 - 10 years ago
Part 2 of 2: This is why Paul stated he dies daily, 1 Corinthians 15: 31 "I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily ". If I can say it like this, he was constantly putting his flesh under subjection to live saved. Humans respond to the lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and the pride of life, this is what is in the world, 1 John 2: 16. In Galatians 5: 6 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh . In the end, a person who has not kept their flesh under subjection can still be left here when the rapture takes place because they did not stay saved, example the 10 Virgins, 5 were wise and 5 were foolish.
