According to the gospel, the meaning is clear. Jesus said that he is the only shepherd, teacher, poimen, pastor. He said this again in John 10:16. He also said much about hired shepherds in John 10:11-13. I find it ironic that just above these comments there is a paid ad that says, "Ready to be a Pastor? Click here "

God is one and beside him they is no other God. also Isaiah 9:6 , Father is one and that is God. The Father which is being said here is God, and that is Jesus. Genesis 3:15 war was promised by God him self. Matthew 1:16 born Jesus, who is called Christ. John 10:30 Jesus is equal with God. John 10:33 and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Luke 5:20 Jesus said, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. Luke 5:21 Scribes and Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who can forgive sins, but God alone? 1 John 5:6 Father, Word and Holy Ghost : and these three are one.

Jesus surely is the gate. He sure did. does lay down His life for us. We need to believe this , wholeheartedly. There is no other way to enter the kingdom, for He is the way, the truth the life, AMEN!!!!

I loved this chapter because it is all about faith and believing on God. We must learn to listen for his voice and do the right things and live Godly. I ask God to forgive me daily and keep me out of my flesh and he does and I pray on that daily. Humility is a blessings that I am trying to gain. Amen.

In Palestine shepherd pens were enclosed pens that had fences made of stone. When night fall came the shepherd in this area would use this pen for protection against predatory animals and livestock theives. There was no gate. The shepherd lay across the opening to sleep. Who or whatever intruded at night would have to walk over the Shepherd. This is what Jesus did he laid down his life for all past,present and future intruding sin that may attack us unaware. I recently did a sermon on the good shepherd and God showed me that it was also a direct prophesy of Jesus actions after the resurrection, when he went and gather his sheep that were on the road to Emmaus, and brought back to the upper room so that they would be present to receive the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is a good shephered who always provide us protection and his comfort. He will never allow the defeated devil to touch us as his anointed child. Jesus loves us only believe his words and obey his commandments. He who loves Jesus will keep his commandments. Jesus is always faithful to his promises, He only wants him to believe and enter his door sheep in order for us to be saved and have eternal life. When rapture comes the good Shephered will bring his voice and for the good sheep who follow 's God will now and hear his voice easily because of our relationship with God. Be blessed and keep thanking and praising Jesus for everything he have done in our lives till rapture as we already in a good Shephered 's door

Jesus Christ is the only name under heaven whereby we must be saved. God made no other provision !!1 When I receive salvation in Jesus then I can go in and out and find pasture. I must be in His word and be doing His word. As I feed on His word I will be finding pasture.

Jesus is the Good Shepherd sent by God to save his people so that they believe on him and his word. We must know the shepherd 's voice or be swallowed up by the devil 's words. The good shepherd comes through the door and always keeps his sheep. The sheep knows the masters voice and he knows them by name. He leads us into greener pastures, he restores our souls and lay down his life for us. Because of God 's grace and mercy the good shall always be protected by the Good Shepherd.

Jesus affirms himself as God in John 10:14 I am the Good Shepherd. Psalms 23 and Ezekiel 24, God himself is the Shepherd, thus Jesus takes upon himself another title of God. Thank you Mr Lovelace. I love Jesus and His Word. I believed it is written, so we can all understand how we need to live, worship God and love others. It is so plain. Jesus is who he is. We need to believe in what He taught. Our eternal lives depend on it.

This verse is the most important one for us to know and follow in these perilous times. If we do know Him, we will know His voice and we will be safe from deception and wrong choices. My favorite for now, as it includes even John 3:16. Only can know Him if we are committed to His life in us.

Joni G has the best comment that could be given. It is the teaching of scripture, and the key to becoming a Christian. We have to become a Christrian by being a repentant, emersed believer. Then we begin to have the remainder of the Bible become relevent for us. Acts 2:38, Mark 16 16, and other verses teach us this. Obedient faith is the key. Believe in Christ that He is who He said He is. Believe in what He taught.

Samuel Elamu, first pray that God directs your path to worship with a group of believers that believe and live for Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. They must Bible as their guide. Many groups say they believe but their fruits do not show they believe. A praying church is important. They should teach the gospel the way it was taught in Acts 2. Phillip taught the eunuch the gospel in Acts 8. The eunuch was reading Isaiah actually. If the church is teaching Christ as the resurrected Son of God and in Heaven right now, there is a good chance they are correct. They do need to teach bief in Christ, repentance of your old way, turning your back on your old self, confess, say that Jesus is the Son of God right before you are immersed under the water, then that is the right church. They practice baptism into Christ 's death, just like Acts 2 38 47. A praying church is important to keep us strong and fit for Christ. Samuel, ask God to lead you to the right group of believers in Christ and He will.

This comment is to Samuel Elamu. Samuel, the instructions to be born again were given on the the day of Pentecost. Read the second chapter of Acts. The instruction is given in verses 37,38. Jesus Christ died for your sins, and rose again the third day for your justification. When you believe this you must repent, be baptized in His Name and He will fill you with the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in tongues. It is real!!! Seek till you find. Denominations do not lead you to Jesus. The Cross, and the Empty Tomb, are what leads you to Christ. He is risen just as He said, and is the door to eternal life. All who came before Him, were thieves and robbers. Go to what ever Church that teaches the Word of God, and follow Jesus, and He will lead you by the Holy Spirit to life everlasting.
