    "Here is the patience and the faith of the Saints." Every soul belongs to God, to give life, and to take it away. The present evil world cannot go on indefinitely under the dominion of the heathen. When Jesus came to the earth announcing the Glad Tidings; He began by laying down His life for our redemption and reconciliation to God; and He will complete that work by His coming in power and glory.

    "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob 's trouble but he shall be saved out of it. Jeremiah 30:7 " This whole chapter just encouraged me, I am so glad that the Lord will come to you with a word again and again just like he did Jeremiah. I am glad that even when a day is great your in a place that you 've never been before that God is still in control and he lets us know he will save us. My preacher has preached recently on how sometimes we may go through things and it have nothing to do with us, or it may be to strengthen us, sometimes we just really do not know. But we are to keep going for the Glory of the Lord because of what He has done for us, and He has already promised that we have the victory.

    But every effort to heal ourselves must prove fruitless, so long as we neglect the heavenly Advocate and sanctifying Spirit. The dealings of His grace with every true convert, and every returning backslider, are the same in effect as his proceedings to the Jews. I always wondered how this applied to us, the church. I 'm thankful that this commentary pins it. The words are there not so that we can judge them, but understand that the same God deals the same with all men for He is no respecter of persons. So glad to have found this key statement in the commentary "The dealings of His grace with every true convert, and every returning backslider, are the same in effect as his proceedings to the Jews. "

    To Maxwell
    Yes, I believe Jacob's trouble is 3 1/2 years, not the 7 years most believed. First 3 1/2 years are Satan-inflicted, so expect God's people still around, but the latter 3 1/2 years after the 6th seal -- God's wrath -- definitely not for God's people.

    @Brad Holland,
    To study the differences between the King James Version 1611 (authorized version) and the other versions is something you should do with diligence ( Hebrews 11:6; 2 Timothy 2:15) and I believe you will conclude that the King James Version 1611 (authorized version) is the only inspired word of God as I have. As for the vulgate text it is from the Alexandria manuscripts (Egypt) Latin based that the catholic church uses for their version translated by origen and others that is proven to be corrupt by most honest and true bible translators. The King James Version 1611 (authorized version) is translated from the manuscripts of Antioch ( Acts 11:26) (Textus Receptus) where you will find that most honest and true translators conclude to be correct. As for the original text there are no original texts and when someone can produce them I might start altering my thinking on this subject. God is never to concern about the originals, see what god does with originals and how he preserves his word ( Exodus 32:19, Exodus 34:1; Psalms 12:6,7; Matthew 24:35; Peter 1:19) more original writings ( Jeremiah 30:1, Jeremiah 36:27, 28, 32). God has preserved his word in the King James Version 1611 (authorized version). When a person comes to conclusion that all versions are of God they have not studied the scriptures with diligence. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways ( James 1:8). There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end there of is the ways of death ( Proverbs 14:12; 2 Timothy 2:15).
