The only sin God will not forgive is the rejection of his son Jesus Christ.

Re. v.2: Christians cannot mingle bias and prejudice with holy faith. GOD does not exercise prejudice nor bias (see Deu. 10:17-18; 2Chr. 19:7; Ac. 10:34; Rom. 2:11; Gal. 2:6; Eph. 6:9; 1Pet. 1:17). Therefore HE demands HIS people to refrain from doing so as well (see Lev. 19:15; Deu. 1:17; 16:19; 2Chr. 19:7; Pro. 24:23; 28:21; 1Tim. 5:21; Jude v.16). Prejudice and bias perverts GOD's Character.

Do we get remission of sins by faith alone like in Rom 3:25 or by water baptism in Acts 2:38. Are we saved without works Rom 4:5 or are works a part of salvation James 2:24? Are we to turn away someone who asks to borrow Matt 5:42 or are we to tell him to get a job if he wants to eat 2 Th 3:10? Are you to pray for your enemies to be a child Matt 5:44-45 or will simple faith do it Gal 3:26? 2Tm2:15

I could write a book on this verse! Most Christians today have forgot what it means to revere God. We have lost our awe of Him. Ex. 33:20 God said " there shall no man see me and live." Many times in scripture we see men falling to the ground on their faces when they are in the presence of God. In James 2:19 we see the devils believe and tremble. A verse that comes to mind is John 18:5 6 when they came to arrest Jesus in the garden, and they all fell backward when Jesus said, I am he. David had the awe of God and he knew this reverent fear of God. He feared God and he feared His testimonies. Fearing God's testimonies would come when we see how strict they are and how far we are from that righteous standard. Many have strayed from striving in holiness and have put everything in the grace basket. However we have the Holy Spirit that Peter say in 2 Peter 1:3, According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

God does not need our good works to be God but people do need our good works to show Christ to them. Salvation is of Christ crucified and ressurected as a substitute for us not of our works. Amen

Interesting point! Faith, though highly prized and critically important, can not save you alone! No! You must have the action in conduct, in deed, and do the work assigned to a christian as stated in Matthew 28:19,20. Can 't have one without the other.

James is written to the twelve tribes verse 1. We are not Jews. In the body of Christ there are no distinctions Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. So this is a letter that you can find great teaching instruction for the body of Christ but where it crosses the Pauline epistles it is not for you doctrinally. It will be addressed to Jews in the tribulation doctrinally. Compare being justified by works in this epistle with being justified without works in the church age Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Until Acts 7 with the rejection of Stephens message the end of the world is in view and the Lord could have came back without a church age. James was written during this time period. The Lord was rejected again and the Church age inserted. This did not take the Lord by surprise but He gave the Jews a legitimate offer. Once the Church is caught out the book of Hebrews will show the amendments to the Law and the book of James will begin their doctrine as the Lord will begin dealing with Jews who have to keep the works like in the O.T. Deuteronomy 6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us. Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Today no works are connected Rom 4:5 but once the church is out the sealing of the Holy Spirit will be gone and you will have to keep up the works.

Works? To me this has always been "jobs things " we do for others as God leads but this morning as I read James 2:20-26 it became very apparent that our obedience is also "works " that is the result of faith. When Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice it points out that obedience was "works " stimulated by his faith in God. So, it 's not a matter of hunting for jobs to do to show our faith, obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit shows we are alive as our faith brings about our obedience to fulling the directions of the Word of God for our lives.

For this is the love of God: This is the kind of love that God desire of us our entire day-by-day life must be molded by the commandments of God 2 John 1:6. That we keep his commandments: The commandments of God as delineated in Exodus 20:3-17 must be the defining standard of our lives and we must adhere totally to it, for it is the only litmus test of determining whether we are Christians or not. According to James 2:10, if we are err in any of it, then we are guilty of all. A lawyer of the Pharisees extraction once ask Christ a tempting question Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus answered him by summarizing the content of the two tables of stones that Moses collected from God thus: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. He when further to add that And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 22:35-39. The phrase, the second is like unto it signifies that Exodus 20:3-11 which spells our relationship with God cannot be complete without Exodus 20:12-17 which spells our relationship with our neighbour. We cannot claim to love God if we don t love our brother whom we are seeing 1 John 4:20-21.

You talk a lot about the Sabbath day being on Saturday and not on the first day of the week which most Christian churches in the US and much of the rest of the world celebrate as the resurrection day of or Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ or Sunday. Going back to the of creation at the end of the Sixth day when all creation was complete God saw all and said it was good and it was no sin. I also quoted James 2:18 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and come down from the Father of lights.... We know that Jesus said Satan is a murderer and the father of all lies in John therefore, it appear to me that the Scripture Said that Luficer invented sin and I believe is saying that all evil diseases is his creation is what I meant by sin creates diseases. I concur with you on the fact that Jehovah uses even evilbeings to bring about His will and purposes on planet earth. I will therefore give Satan credit for creating diseases. RNM please refer to my reply to your post in Revealation 22. The word trinity might not be in the original biblical text but it mean three which is consistent which John 1:1 in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word Jesus Christ was God. James 2:10 is merely testifying to the necessity of a Saviour for sinners because no sinner can keep the whole law because the law of God is perfect. Jesus tell is when he offended the Pharisees when He constantly heal people on Saturday declaring that the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath. God bless us all in understanding of His Word.

GEN 1-4-15...I know SISTER KATE, you think you are on top of this trinity concept, but to tell you the truth that word is not in the original manuscript it was added to the Bible from an outside source. So I would not presume that it is carved in stone. The fact is, just in this one scripture I will show you something which should make you raise questions about the trinity doctrine yourself. in Rev 4:5... And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. Here it is plainly stating that their are 7 spirits of God before His Throne. By limiting God to this man made DOCTRINE being the trinity, man in his own way has set his own limitations on God 's own abilities to be able to have limitless forms or beings of himself, which in my opinion is blasphemous, nothing new though, mankind is real good at that. No different than how man blasphemes God every sunday, claiming it to be God 's Sabbath, when we know the true Sabbath is the 7th day. If we disobey God 's Holy Sabbath, do you really believe His Spirit will dwell in a disobedient Vessel? In the book of James 2:10...For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Why would James even make such a statement unless we are bound to keep all 10 Commandments. In Revelations it says Satan has deceived the whole world. No one is excluded!
