I believe that the word of God was written down by men Slade in the spirit so in order to interpret the word you have to be slayed in the spirit so Bible study is important and bible study being said by spirit filled man teaching

Sorry I didn't finish my thoughts completely on my posts: when trying to jump in & start observing the Sabbath I realized it wasn't just an easy decision. There is a bigger message. I quoted earlier many scriptures. It's very significant to GOD or it wouldn't be mentioned so much in Old & New Testament.

    Is it pointing to CHRIST?

Hebrews 4:8-10, Is observing the Sabbath pointing to being ready for eternity? Hebrews 4:11,

    Hebrews 4:12-16

I also noticed it says 'nor your laborers' one major thing I've observed which now saddens me is how often many will observe their own "Sabbath" either Saturday or Sunday or HOLYday/Holiday & flood into restaurants etc. overwhelmingly, then mistreat the "laborers" for example making them prepare meal while they "rested" or "worshipped", complaining about waitstaff not being attentive (while they have more people groups attending), or when 30 additional people arrive & certain favorite food isn't available. then they wonder why their "congregations" doesn't grow? If we could only get the bigger message! Jesus was directing us to LOVE, HE cares about the fatherless & widow. Example Mothers' Day: how often does the beloved Mothers get treated to meal or services 'out' being served by single 'Mothers of Fatherless children' whom GOD loves? James 1:27,

There is much to discuss & learn on this subject, I hope these were helpful to you.

    Genesis 4:17 left without name

Here is scripture & thought on the matter for deeper questions that are taught on this issue.

Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2:7,8,15,16,18,21,22,23,24, notice in Genesis 1:27-28, says male & female & have dominion over & subdue over the sea, air, and living thing that moveth on the earth. Then HE put 'the man" in garden. Was this a certain man & his wife seperated in a special garden? Notice in Genesis 1:29 all fruit from every tree was good for meat. However in the Garden that HE planted Genesis Genesis 2:8-9, he put the man he had formed & breathed life into him & he became a living soul. Genesis 2:7,

Genesis 4:15 presence of other people,

    Hebrews 13:8, John 1:1-5, Leviticus 18, establishes GOD's law, James 1:13-16,

    Luke 1:69, Psalms 89:24-27, Titus 2:11-12, Hebrews 5,

Genesis 4:25,26, 1 Corinthians 15:20-23, one lineage from Adam to Seth to Jesus recorded lineage of redemption Matthew, we are adopted heirs through Christ, Ephesians 1:5

Many agree this lineage was significant to show fall of mankind & redemption

    John 21:25

Hopefully this is helpful to your question.

    James 1:4

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

In the Scrivener's Textus Receptus 1894 Bible translation of the above passage, the Greek word for patience is (Strong's Concordance G5281) which means "endurance."

    Brother Jesse,

Well said, and I agree. I am reminded of this scripture:

    James 1:21

"Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls."

    God Bless

James What I gather or understand from Job is an example of the goodness of God and steal kill and destroy satan's only purpose also God wasn't being tried or tempted [ James 1:13 God can't be tempted neither tempt he any man ].

The word says in Job 3:25 for the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. In job 1:4+5 jobs children were feasting with each other all the time and job believed they were doing wrong to he point they were cursing God in their harts thus did jobcontinuously. His fear was so great from constantly believing that His children were doing wrong that it opened the door for the adversary to move. Fear is the exact opposite of believing because it putsus in a state of mental paralyses.

Hi Timothy. Here are some Scriptures for you to consider:

    1 Corinthians 6:12; Titus 2:11,12; 1 Peter 5:8,9; James 1:12-15; James 4:7,8; 1 Peter 2:11; Romans 13:12-14; Romans 12:1,2.

All these Scriptures show how a Christian can live above the sinful cravings of the heart & mind - when we know that we need help & that help is beyond any power we can muster up, then we must cry to the Lord our God, submit fully to Him & daily trust Him to deliver us of anything that opposes godliness.

I had a few addictions to surrender to the Lord when I was saved by His Spirit; some things left off immediately, others took a little longer. But remember "it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." Philippians 2:13. God will by His Spirit help an earnest repentant soul. If He is in the business of pulling out wayward souls from the coming fires of Hell through His Son's Sacrifice, He will certainly not forget a struggling child who is still ensnared by the wicked one.

Our strength to resolve our issues very quickly diminishes - God's great Power to deliver & heal awaits all who look only to Him & submit to His Will. And when temptation knocks at our door, we are reminded in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." But the part of that verse that tests our genuineness, is whether we see, acknowledge & use the door of escape that God provides for us. When that sin or addiction becomes something most hateful in us, we're on the road to physical, mental & spiritual recovery.

Hi Earl, thanks for sharing your opinion, but I don't believe any of that is true. It sounds like you're not considering many other verses but just honed in on only 2 verses and interpreted them in such a way to arrive at your desired outcome. I don't believe your personal definition of freewill vs choices. These are one of the same. Eve chose to eat the fruit, and wasn't just an actress in a play God wrote. The Bible doesn't contradict itself, but I believe some readers make false assumptions. I suspect maybe you're not open to my previous points brought up. Other verses already shared that clearly show we have freewill to choose James 1:13-16, Joshua 24:15, Galatians 5:13, etc. so God bless.

Hello again Earl My last point when God gave the ten Commandments he Told the children of Israel you shall not throw any other Gods before me I am a Jealous God. There are events in the old testament that the adversary did and there are events that the true God did then there the ones that the True God allowed the adversary to do, why because he is almighty God with Job Satan said to God If I do this he'll curse you, God knew His man and said no he won't and your not allowed to kill him. Job was Gods example of the Goodness of the true God and the Wickedness of Satan, also Gods word says God cannot be tempted neither tempt he any man. God will prove us but not tempt James 1:13+14 there is a difference. Do I believe Gods Will will come to pass absolutely but on His Terms.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

I noticed some comments posted that sound like they are only a breath away from denying the Lord. God's Word and 2 Peter 2:1 is for them. Luke 12:5. 1 Timothy 6:12.

Some sound upset that God demands obedience, and some feel entitled to do what they want as if there's no ramifications. John 14:21, John 14:15, James 1:22, Proverbs 16:18.

    James 1.5

If any of you lack wisdom , let him ask of God

Notice it did not say ask another person !

Proverbs says wisdom is the principle thing .

It's also said that only the wise can learn .

So I encourage anyone to ask God through Jesus name to grant you wisdom to understand his word and ways .

If you miss this you will be subject to men and the many so called that are deceived.

But ask in faith , God is faithful , you will be surprised to find many things are not so as you heard .

But the truth will set you free !

    James 1:5-6, 1 John 2:27,

Sometimes I feel we're on a 'need to know' basis: GOD reveals many things as we need to know. Sometimes I've wondered about something & right away GOD's given me the answers. Other times it was years. Sometimes I've read scripture then another time reading, something powerful is revealed that I hadn't noticed beforehand or the fact my circumstances have changed giving me deeper understanding. I will also pray you have deeper understanding. Philippians 1:6,

I would like to point out however the correlation between Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, & the Gospels Matthew Mark Luke & John are insightful to me understanding it to be prophetic. Isaiah 52:7-14,

Hopefully this is helpful & encouraging.

As a Christian, who happens to be a scientist and former university professor, I find the wisdom of God's Word profoundly inerrant. My personal ability to discern God's Word is less inerrant than I would wish.

I call out to my Christian Brothers and Sisters to provide input on how Christians should honor God with regard to being ordered to allow an unapproved, experimental gene-altering drug be injected into her/his person? As someone who is now 100% immune to the virus via natural immunity ( as I had the virus in February of 2020) I need not wrestle with this question. However, as a scientist I am increasingly asked (by family and associates) how Christians can explain to non-believers that we are called to a higher authority than Mr. Fauci.

Owing to devote prayer ( James 1:5) and God's grace in granting me thirty plus years of studying His Word - I empirically identify seven commands to resist fear and "be as wise as serpents" in following authentic science and not being emotionally stampeded.

Please provide your input so I may be better able to share truth. Thank you -

Chris The clear words or information to believers your speaking about is revelation or revealed knowledge which cannot be known by the 5 senses it is not thinking things through it is not analytical it is God giving specific instruction or guidance as what to say or act or do in a specific situation. The example that comes to mind when Joshua got to Jericho he was told by God he would take it over that was prophetic now the carrying out of how. Joshua 6-1-21 the rest of the revelation to be carried out is the details trumpets the marching and the big one everyone obeying what Joshua was being told. I guarantee you if he wouldn't have done what he was told or the people would not have listened no Go. When Naaman was told by the prophet to go dip in Jordan 7 times revealed knowledge who to go where to go why to go what to do and what will happen and I'll guarantee you if he would have dipped six times no healing. There is no difference in our day and time it is Gods Solution to a problem making known to the senses man by his spirit in us. To me this is one of the most misunderstood things in christianity because I've heard to many people tell me God told them this or that and biblically made no sense and with the true God two scriptures come to mind. James 1:17 and 3:17 God Bless

Hi Gigi Some added incite James 1:13 God can't be tempted neither tempt he any man, the word tempt in Genesis 22:1 there is the word nasah which is to try or prove. When Gods word is followed he proves or shows what he can and will do which was Abrahams great example of Believing what he said to do. But to try and tempt God would be to go against what is written and expect him to bail you out. Perhaps some added perspective.

I take it to believe "yea", may not be him rejoicing but even that, has scripture backing Philippians 4:4-9, James 1:2-4, 1 John 4:18,

even if we walk in/near death we should not fear because GOD promises to be with us (that trust in HIM) Deuteronomy 31:8, Hebrews 13:5-6, John 14:16-21, Psalm 139:1-24, Psalms 37:40,

    The rod; Proverbs 13:24, Job 21:9, Proverbs 29:15, Lamentations 3:1, many times references discipline, correction: Proverbs 22:15, Proverbs 23:14, Proverbs 3:12, Hebrews 12:4-8-11, Staff: Hebrews 11:21, Zechariah 8:4, Exodus 21:19, Numbers 22:27, 2 Samuel 3:29, Judges 6:21

Hopefully these scriptures help you with the HOLY Spirit to understand deeper. John 14:26, James 1:5

His Sacha In the book of Genesis who does God blame for the downfall, Adam blamed God and said the woman God gave him God went to the woman and she said the serpent then God said to the serpent because thou hast done this. God knew who did it. Granted Adam and Eve gave in but if it were not for the adversaries I.E. the serpents influence I.E. temp tation deception lie, then the reason for the sin wouldn't be there. Also according to James 1:13 God can't be tempted neither tempt He any man. So we are the product of an action influenced by Gods arch enemy originally.

Acts 16:33, in context Acts 16:27-34

Acts 16:15 in context Acts 16:14-15

    Acts 18:8

    1 Corinthians 3:3

    John 13:35

    Hebrews 10:25

    James 1:27

Please note the scriptures I've listed & pray about what I'm about to say. I once witnessed 2 children who asked to be baptized by the Lead Pastor, they were skipped over, another Pastor replaced the old one & once again those 2 children a boy & a girl asked to be baptized. That Pastor also asked them questions on the Bible, doctrine, taught them a special class, privately then decided not to Baptize them. In a short time other youths were baptized & they were skipped over again. I watched as those two children served in the church, many days & even during the celebration of the others getting baptized. Whom was more like Christ? Later those 2 children were baptized without classes & with people who barely knew them. Please pray for wisdom.

    Matthew 19:14

If you judge to strictly remember :

    Matthew 7:2 , Matthew 7:1-5

The spirit of the lord went over Mary

And caused Mary a virgin to conceive

And he was to be called Jesus

Jesus came thru the tribe of Judah

    The order of Melchizedek

    Who was Melchizedek

He had no father or mother and was a king and a priest and Abraham even tithed to him

He had no beginning or end

The only one who fits that description is Jesus

    Just my thought

But the Holy Spirit caused Mary to conceive

God the father did the son and god the holy spiritual are one and the same

Jesus refers to god the father

So possible that Jesus did not share and genes with Mary and definitely not Joseph

How could Mary give birth to a son if all women have xx genes and men xy genes

The male determines sex of the child

If he gives x gene it's a girl

If he gives y gene it's a boy

So how could Mary give birth to a boy

Both Mary and Joseph were of the tribe Judah

    Am I questioning god

    No

    I am a Christian

    Mary was very special

    Yes she was a virgin

Yes she gave birth to Jesus

Jesus came to earth as gif in the body of a human

    Fully god and fully man

And came from heaven so he knew heaven like none other

    John 1 and verse 1

I'm in beginning was the word the word was with god and the word was god

I use only King James Version of Bible

Other versions change words and words change meaning

    So Jesus Is god

Only after birth of Jesus did Mary and

    Joseph have children

So in one way that makes them half brothers

But again maybe they did not share any genes

    Remember I am just thinking

My ignorance is much greater than my knowledge

I believe the king James of Bible is inerrant

Please just take my words with a grain of salt

Jesus was the only perfect one to walk the face of the earth

    Sacrificed himself for our sins

    The truth remains simple

    Jesus sacrificed himself

    For our sins

We are all sinners and in need of salvation

    We all must know that

    Ask Jesus/god

For forgiveness and repent of our sins

Ask for that free gift if salvation

    He will and doeS

    Hi Diane,

I've been away for a while so I'm not sure if you're responding to someone or you are asking this question for yourself? Either way, what leads me to believe that James is the half-brother of Jesus is that after Jesus was born, Mary and Joseph had other children. We know that Jesus had four half-brothers, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas (Jude), and at least two half-sisters.

Paul says in Galatians 1:19, "But other of the apostles I didn't see, except for James the Lord's brother." This would be the Lord's half-brother, also the author of the book of James. What would make James the Lord's half-brother is that they shared the same mother, but different fathers.
