God has given us his salvation on a platter of gold by offering his only SON to die in our stead. He went as far as bringing Him His SON to the level of mankind just to draw us back to Himself. Therefore let us all grab this great and wonderful gift of God with no delay before it is late, to avoid God s wrath at the end.

This has helped me in my understanding about spiritual warfare. We are all, by default, part of a cosmic conflict, whether we realize it or not. As citizens of Christ s future kingdom, we battle every day against the kingdom of Satan, from which we have been saved. Thankfully, we can be victorious, for our King defeated the enemy, through His death and resurrection Heb. 2:14 . The foe was rendered powerless, but his ultimate demise will come when our King, returns to set up His kingdom. In the interim, while we wait, our Lord wants us to draw faithfully upon His power and authority in other words, His provision --- for spiritual victory. To that end we must walk by faith, not by sight.

There is no other above name in heaven its Jesus. Because of his perfect obedience to our Heavenly Father God gave Jesus a reward because of his love. We must praise and thanks Jesus for redeeming us, his precious blood are his love and mercy to us. We are saved by God 's grace and not by works. We must seek the kingdom of God first and we must be Born Again in Spirit and not in flesh. Jesus is the only way the truth and the life whoever believes in him will be save and have life in abundance until rapture. Thank you Jesus for being faithful to your promises Amen

i understand the seriousness of the love of God,that He didnt spare His Son to die for me.He went to a level of lowering Him to a class of human beings so as for Him to understand us more better.Wonderful God.Obedient jesus.

Hebrews 2 is a great reminder to cling to the gospel of our salvation and give all diligence to draw near to the light and cleansing it provides by cherishing it. As we lay off the deeds of the body of sin and flesh we prove that we cherish the light and cleansing that the gospel provides. I could use pray for discipline.

Hello Ross Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3 16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

This is in response to Ross dated 10 11 2014 from Hebrews ch.2 Go back and read Hebrews ch.1v 1 10 note v. 6 and 8. Also read John ch. 1 it will let you know about the Deity of Jesus Christ. If you look closer you will see who Jesus is.
  • Ross on Hebrews 2 - 10 years ago
Jesus destroyed the devil. Jesus is a Creator Son. God created Jesus and Jesus created the universe. He came here for many reasons. To reveal to man that God is a loving Father. To gain first hand experience of what it 's like to live life in the flesh because only through this actual experience could He be a perfect sovereign ruler of the universe.
  • James A. Williams on Hebrews 2 - 10 years ago
I feel that it is one of the needed chapters in the Bible. It says to me " Why One of Us ? For God 's Son took on human nature to free us from Sin and Death. Hebrews 2 18 is a real good Memory Verse.
  • Tim George on Hebrews 2:18 - 10 years ago
In that He Himself suffered being tempted, is able to help those that are being tempted. Jesus the captain of our salvation was made perfect through suffering. Therefore we must arm ourselves with the same mind set as Christ, knowing that He is our faithful high Priest, who understands our weaknesses, and is able to give grace and mercy to help us.

Just curious where Grant came to his conclusion that verse 7 of Hebrews ch. 2 was about Jesus...
  • Grant on Hebrews 2:7 - 10 years ago
This is in reference to Jesus, not man. Read it again starting with verse 5.

Preacher Autry, what a lovely explanation of the One God in Christ reconciling the world unto himself. As Peter proclaimed on the day of Pentecost, repent and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost! There is only One Name given whereby we must be saved. Obey Acts 2 37,38.

Verse 14 "Because God 's children are human beings, made of flesh and blood, Jesus also became flesh and blood by being born in human form, for only as a human being could he break the power of the Devil, who had the power of death. " This verse mentions God and Jesus. And it will only makse sense when we understand that God and Jesus are the same. Jesus is God 's person or self expresion. That is, when God expresses himself to the human race he does it as Jesus. That is why Jesus is spoken of as the creator of heaven and earth. John says it this way. "He Jesus created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn 't make. Life itself was in him. ... " This means that God as Jesus came to the earth he made and gave himself a ransom for the sins we committed. He didn 't have to do it, but he did. This was the greatest display of love a person can know. This further means that the term "Son of God " for Jesus is only a title. That is, when God came to the earth as Jesus he gave himself this title to identify himself to both God and man. He also gave himself other titles, such as Son of Man, Bread of Life, Lamb of God, etc. See, the struggle has always been between God as Jesus and Satan. It makes sense, then, that God would not send a substitute to fight for him, but come himself to defend his cause in this epic battle. This he did, and he won! What I am saying is, Jesus is no stand in, but God himself, giving himself for the sins of the world.

This scripture is not to draw us to Christ in my opinion because Hebrews 6 says to put away Christ and see the Melchizedek order of Jesus Hebrews 2 is saying that God made man in his image be it man or son of man birth and intends man to be all that he is but in image form And warns us not to ignore so great a salvation

v 11 "are all of one". and 1 Cor 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit
The new creation or regenerated spirit is my once dead spirit raised alive having been joined to Spirit of Jesus.

Jesus didn't give me eternal life - he is eternal life. He gave me himself. He is in I and I in Him - joined together.

Hebrews 2:9 answers the question. It is talking about Christ. Christ became man so that he could conquer sin and bring salvation to man.
