Trinity is a doctrine of man trying to understand God carnally. God is one Person not three. He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
He manifests Himself in those three offices at different times. Isaiah 9:6 prophecy proves it.
(Trinity theology is a Roman polytheistic belief - it's the reason why most Jews and Arabs - blood descendants of Abraham can't accept the Gospel )

Thank you for an opportunity to share ;Hebrews chpt. 1, to me is a rallying cry to support "Believers ". Hebrews Chpt. 1 confirms the Royalty of JESUS CHRIST and WHO JESUS CHRIST IS ,The SON OF GOD ! You can plainly see the Authority given CHRIST in beginning All Creation .St. John 1:1 summarizes the matter . And Hebrews 1:5 clearly states a very important question " For unto whom did GOD say SON ?

    An answer to Dominic Butler,

Yes GOD and Jesus created the earth. Go to your scripture and read John 1:1-3, 10 and also Genesis 1:26.

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with GOD and the Word was GOD.

Seven Exalted Titles of The Lord Jesus Christ in Hebrews are as follows: Captain of Their (Our) Salvation, Apostle and High Priest of Our Profession, Priest Forever After the Order of Melchisedek, Author of Eternal Salvation, Mediator of The New Testament, Author and Finisher of Our Faith and Mediator of the New Covenant. The Eighth is Jesus Christ the Same Yesterday, and Today, and Forever.

I am confused, does this mean that God and Jesus created earth? Or is it in reference to the trinity?

  • Sylvia on Hebrews 1 - 9 years ago
    Trinity,
God is our creater of the heavens and earth, he is the father of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour, he saved us from our sins by shedding his precious bleed
The Holy Spirit came that we would be filled, baptized and empowered ( Gen 1:1-2, John 14:16-17, 1st Corinthian 12:12-14, Act 1:5)

Toni, one God, three distinct persons. All working for the same purposes. Unlike humans who strive for individuality, and praise, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost work together.

In response to Grant: You asserted that the word "Trinity" was an unscriptural term and you are sadly mistaken. By examining this great book of Hebrews you can clearly see that the Triune God is taught, even though the word Trinity is not stated. In vs. 1:8 we notice that the quotation from PSA 45:6 is used showing us that God the Father calls the Son "GOD" and you will find the Holy Spirit referred to as "GOD" in Acts 5:3-4. Any logical mind should have no difficulty understanding this Scriptural Truth.

So beautiful! Isaiah 45:15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour. All praise and thanks be to our LORD JESUS CHRIST! Amen
  • Rachael on Hebrews 1:8 - 9 years ago
God is the almighty. Jesus is his son. God cannot lie. Why would god say, this is my son whom I am well pleased in. Why would God say to his disciple's, This is my beloved son listen to him. That is a direct commandment from God. Jesus is the only one begotten from the father he is God's son. Last and most important in Revelations, Jesus tells John, DO NOT WORSHIP ME, WORSHIP GOD. AMEN

Speaking of the Son, the Father said: "Thy throne oh God....".The Father referred to the Son as God!" You must read the entire bible and its a repeated theme: The Son is God in the flesh.

The Name of the Father, Jesus said, I manifested thy name John 17:6 I declared thy name John 17:26 What name did he manifest declare. In my name ye shall. Mark 16:16-18. As he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent Name than the angels. Hebrews 1:4. We all inherit our names from our Father, but that name was kept secret in the old test. The angel of The Lord had that name in him. Ex. 23:21 My name is in him. Judges 13:18 seeing it is secret. Luke 1:31. The angel said thou shall call his name Jesus. Isaiah 12:2 Jehovah is become my salvation, which means Jesus. The mighty God. The Everlasting Father, his name is Jesus. Jesus said no man know who the Father is but the Son, and to whomever he will reveal him Math. 11:27. Pray the Son will give u revelation.

The reason that Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the father is: Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person. This text is speaking of The Lord Jesus Christ. He is not the Father. He says in John 10:30 I and my Father are one. But this doesn 't He is the Father. They are one in unity just as the believers are one in Him. We are one with each other but are not the same as each other and are not Him. John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that THEY MAY BE ONE, as WE are. Jesus is the image of God so He said John 12:45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. They couldn 't see the Father without Jesus because he declared Him or made Him known. John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. If there is no Godhead who were they seeing in the Old Testament? Exodus 6:2-3 And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty. If they were seeing God Almighty but it wasn 't the Father who was it? Hint. The preincarnate Christ.

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. The bible is very clear about who the SON is.
  • Grant on Hebrews 1:3 - 10 years ago
This is in responce to Kays misinformation about the word "worship " inregard to Heb 1:6. I will explain useing terms from the scriptures and not unscriptual terms like "God made in the flesh ", or "trinity ",or "God the son " or even "Mother of God ". I will start with the defining of the word "worship ". Proskyneo translated from greek is worship. At Acts 10:25 Cornilius worshiped Peter. Was Peter God? At Rev 22:8 John worshiped an angel. Was that angel God? Same thing at Rev 19:10. Was that angel God? At Mathew 14:33 Jesus 's own disiples worshiped him but they said he was Gods son. The act of worship can have many forms. Bowing down, bending at the knee, kissing the cheek, kissig the ground. But when using a form of the word worship the spelling may be differant. So, getting back to Hebrews 1:6. Did the angels worship the son because he was God? What did one of the angels say to Mary when he told her that she was going to have a child? Did the angel say the child would be God? No. That angel knew the child would be the son of the MOST HIGH. Also remember that at Heb.1:6 those angels were angels of God, and showing respect to their God they worshied the son. As in Rev.19:10 and Rev.22:9 the angels knew who to worship.

Someone has said that "Christianity did not exist when Hebrews was written. " INCORRECT One only has to read the Book of Hebrews to see that this statement is incorrect. Theologically speaking, scholars generally regard the book of Hebrews to be second in importance only to Paul 's letter to the Romans in the New Testament. No other book so eloquently defines Christ as high priest of Christianity, superior to the Aaronic priesthood, and the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets. The book of Hebrews is a General Epistle Apostolic Letter . It was written mainly to the Hebrew believers. The author is anonymous, although either Paul or Barnabas was traditionally accepted as the author. It was written approximately 67 A.D. The best way to begin understanding what the Bible says is to READ IT!

  • Arthur on Hebrews 1 - 10 years ago
Consider these facts about Hebrews: Hebrews was written by an unknown author. It was not signed. Christianity did not exist when Hebrews was written. It was written by an unknown writer to the Levites of the Levitical priesthood. It explains to these Jews how the that offered sacrifices of animals that there was a supreme sacrifice of the perfect lamb of God that was so great that it took the place of animal sacrifices. the priest were 'out of a job ' that had been given to them by the God of Abraham , Isaac, and Jacob. they had trouble understanding this. The Torah law was not done away with.,,, but the sacrificial system was upgraded to its highest level. Understanding the perception of the Jewish believers will help to bring one to an understanding of this hard to understand book. Remember- the only thing we need to be saved from is Sin ....Sin is Transgression of the Law. Study deeply. Study Torah ....
