Paul suffered alot at the hands of ephesians. I think i support with paul that god made by hands are not god. Those who worship it are out of light, no matter how the circumstances paul win thier heart through God with safety without any harm.
Cont...after Acts 9 Saul began preaching the truth and Saul was called Paul in Acts 13:9 filled with the Holy Ghost, he preached thru all the books of Acts u will find him making the same statement as Peter made in Acts 2:38 over in Acts 19:1-6 being baptized in Jesus Name. Blessing
Amazing how these things are still an issue today. If people would read the scripture, they would see that Gods plan is playing out just as it is written. People, PLEASE GET SAVED REPENT AND GET RIGHT WITH GOD! THERE IS A HEAVENLY REWARD FOR THAT!
I don't agree with Fedlis Akobo's comment that the price of the books were uncalled for as I believe it illustrates that it didn't matter the cost, they were prepared to do whatever it took to illustrate their genuine repentance.
In reference to Acts 19:26 , it surely wrong to bow down for images made of human hands in whatever sense. Like one time I visited friend and we left for prayers but when we approached the place of worship, at the gate was a giant image. He bowed the head spoke silently...and we proceeded. I didn't pick why did so...
Paul's statement here in verse 8 " For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:", does not negate, cancel out, or make null and void our need to be baptized in the name of Jesus in order to receive forgiveness of sins, as he shared with the disciples of John the Baptist he met in Acts 19:1-6. In its proper context here, Paul is pointing all glory back to the one who made salvation a possibility for us who were dead in our trespasses and sins. Simply put, Christ didn't have to become the sacrifice and if he did not, there would be nothing that we could ever do to change our eternal destination. However, because he did die and paid the price for our sins, in the book of Acts, when the disciples, on order from Jesus were confronted by people needing salvation they always spell out quite clearly and simplistically what one must do. 1. REPENT 2. BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS 3. RECEIVE THE IN-FILLING OF GOD'S SPIRIT EVIDENCED BY SPEAKING IN OTHER TONGUES AS HIS SPIRIT PROVIDES THE WORDS. These instruction that were given by Peter with the eleven Apostles in agreement , Phillip, Ananias, Paul, ect. in the the book of Acts.
In Galatians 1:12. Paul said he receaved his revelation from Jesus Christ, verse 17, neither did he go up to Jerusalem to the apostles before him. So u will see in acts 19. Paul preached the same thing the other apostles preached, baptizem in the name of Jesus Christ, and the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2 is the birth of the church. Peter stood up with the eleven other Apostles, including the new one. Matthew was present when Peter stood up to preach just as he was in Mathew 28:18-20 which says the eleven was the ones being spoken to. Note: Eleven Mathew did not pull Peter 's Coat tail and demand Peter to cease this Jesus Name Water Baptism. 1 Mattew was pined some 20 years after the events of Acts 2. 2 Acts 2:38 was preached as written for more than 40 years in the Act 's history of the church. 3 Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:1-7 Paul clearly preaches the same message of Jesus Christ. Repentance, Water baptism in Jesus Name, Baptism of Spirit. Water Baptism was deluted with doctrines of Rome and of men in the 2nd and 3rd century. All records bible and history state that the Apostles agreed on the method and mode of Water baptism in the Name of Jesus up until about the 2nd and 3rd century. It is clear that this was and still is the True Good News of the Founding True fathers of The Early Church!

Hello Jacob: Yes, in Acts 2: 37 they did ask what they shall do. Then Peter told them in Acts 2: 38. Then in Acts 2: 39 he stated, summing it up, that it was for the Jews, their children, and to the rest of us. We deduce that Acts 2: 38 is the salvation plan, because in Acts 2: 40 Peter stated And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from the untoward generation . Then about thousand souls were added to the church. Then as a witness to this being for everyone in Acts 10 were the first Gentiles. Then to validate further Paul then rebaptized those 12 men in Acts 19: 1 thru 7. Paul stated FORBID not the speaking in tongues is correct in 1 Corinthians 14: 39.

Hello Jacob and Marvin: This is not my Word but God 's Word. Paul preached and taught Acts 2: 38. In Acts 19: 1 thru 7 he rebaptized 12 men in the correct way. He laid hands on them and they were filled with the Holy Ghost. Paul taught not to forbid speaking in tongues, 1 Corinthians 14: 39. He wrote Galatians 3: 27 "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ ". Paul throughout his Epistles and Books he spoke and taught in one form or another about Acts 2: 38. Jesus even stated that you cannot see or enter heaven with being born again of water and spirit. Peter clarified it on the day of Pentecost with Acts 2: 38. This promise is for everyone, not just the Jews.

Mark 8 24 This is not Jesus comparing men to trees. This is a blind man whom Jesus healed of blindness and after his eyes were opened and he could see he then described what he saw and made a comparison to that he knew that trees were tall and men were tall. To sum up 1 Corinthians Paul was teaching about two different aspects of tongues. Paul not only spoke with the tongues of angels but of the tongues of men. He spoke many known languages of that time. He also was filled with the Holy Ghost, 1 Corinthians 13 1. However, if you continue to read Paul still admonished them to not forbid the speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God give utterance. 1 Corinthians 14 39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues . This prophesy is found in Isaiah 28 11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people . In regarding Jeremiah 10 3 thru 5, this is letting the house of Israel know not to learn the heathen ways which were superstition. The making of decorated tree was vain and of idol worship.
Psalm 1 3 And he shall be LIKE A TREE. Isa 61 3 that they might be called TREES of righteousness, Mark 8 24 I see MEN AS TREES walking. Matt 3 10 the axe is laid unto the root of the TREES therefore every TREE which bringeth not forth fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. The Corinthians were the most carnal church and had a problem with their tongue. 1 Cor 12 30 do all speak with tongues? NO! Babies speak of their gifts all the time and spiritually they are christmastree babies. Check Jeremiah 10 3thru5. The christmastree looks good outwardly with its GIFTS but is full of dead mens bones. Hello James I do not understand your correlation concerning Christmas trees, trees, and men. Matthew 8 24 states, And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves but he was asleep . See as a human Jesus slept, as God he never sleeps. I do not see what this scripture has to do with men being like trees.

Hello James This is how Paul dealt with the weak believers, etc. If I can say it like this in reference to the Corinthian church, Paul was addressing their carnal minds. You cannot feed weak people or baby s meat and expect them to understand. So Paul had to feed them the bases or foundation of information. However, not everyone in the church was babies. Everyone has their weak moments. This is why the scripture states let the weak say they are strong, Joel 3 10. Also a scripture dealing with the weak becoming stronger 2 Corinthians 12 10. Believe in Jesus Christ that he will make you stronger.
1 Cor 3vs1. And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto BABES in Christ. See this Corinthian church was carnal and full of BABES. They were like babies. Babies like gifts. Thats all they talk about. Give me, give me, give me. The bible says ye shall know them by their fruits not GIFTS. The most charasmatic, gifted, tree is a christmas tree. Men are like trees see Matt 8 24. This charasmatic tree has all the gifts but it is dead. Focus on the fruit of the Spirit and not gifts for babes.

I would like to add to my 3 part comment. I did not read where they were babies in the Corinthian church. People always read part of the scriptures and not the whole thing. At the very end of 1 Corinthians 14 38 39 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues . The tongues here that Paul is speaking about are the gift of tongues that is the evidence that a person has the Holy Ghost. See all of these other languages on the earth will cease. The world as we know it know will be destroyed and the people who are not saved will be sent to the second death which burneth with fire and brimstone. There will be one language that we will be speaking and that is the language in which we speak now through the power of the Holy Ghost. In the beginning the people spoke one language until the Tower of Babel. In the end, those who have spoken in other tongues as the spirit of God give utterance is speaking one language.

Part 2 of 3 I believe God s word. I am not going to go out and tempt God to prove his word to me. I believe his word, because I have seen miracles in my life. I have followed Acts 2 38 and God has filled me with the gift of the Holy Ghost. Not because of my goodness but because of his goodness and mercy towards me.

Part 1 of 3 Hello James I do not know what you are talking about for as blood atonement. We have received atonement through the blood of Jesus Christ, Romans 5 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, whom we have now received the atonement. Peter declared what it took to be saved. People misunderstand the point of that scripture, like those people who worship snakes they misunderstood what was meant by that scripture. First of all when Jesus made this statement this was to the true believers, not for them to run out and drink poison you do not tempt God like this. The example that is given to best describe what Jesus meant was when Paul shipwrecked on an Island. He was gathering fire wood and the viper came up out of the heat and latched onto his hand. Paul did not go out seeking the viper or snake. The snake jumped up on him. In this instance God protected him, because he did not know. It also was a miracle that opened a door for them to stay three days with the chief of the Island and they laid hands on the sick and they were healed Acts Chapter 28.
Also, the Corinthian chruch was full of babies. see 1 Cor 1vs3 and tongues was the least gift a person could have 1 Cor 12vs28. Also the reason they were speaking in tongues which are real languages compare Acts 2vs8 with vs 11, is that church see Acts 18vs1 was hard by the synagogue where Jews who require a sign see 1Cor 1vs22 and tongues are for a sign 1 Cor 14vs22. They are wicked and adulterous generation See Matt 16vs4.
Concerning the comment on Mark 16vs17. Can you drink deadly poison? Why not? It 's in the passage. I have some drano at the house and if you will drink it, I will meet you and convert to your belief if you drink it and don 't have to go to a doctor.
I dare you to find the blood atonement in Peter 's message in Acts 2. The kingdom is being offered again because The Father forgave them at Jesus request see Luke 23vs34. Look the Son prayed to the Father. Notice all three together at the baptism of Jesus. Anyway, The Jews as a nation turned the offer down in Acts 7. See Jesus standing ON THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD in vs 55, when He had sat down in Acts 2vs34. Why? He would have came back then if they would have accepted Him. So he started going to the Gentiles. The bible doesn 't stop at acts 2vs38.

Part 3 of 3 I do not understand what you are talking about? The Book of Acts is in the New Testament. It is the 5th Book of the New Testament. It is a transition from the Law to the Grace age in which we live now. The Corinthian Church is a saved church. They were sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, 1 Corinthians 1 1 2. The signs did not stop because the Bible was written. The signs still are in operational today, Mark 16 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe In my name shall they cast out devils they shall speak with new tongues When miracles happen this is the work of Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh. I have seen and experienced many miracles. There are signs and wonders in the Earth all the time people just do not pay attention to them.
