  • Hemant on Genesis 41 - 13 years ago
By the end of the chapter we see that Joseph was all in all in Egypt. We even see Pharaoh telling people to do what Joseph tells them to do. But..... was it easy for Joseph to have this position? Let's go back a little and see through what circumstances had Joseph go through to rise to this position. He had to go to the pit, he became a servant in the house of Potiphar where he was accused for nothing, the devil pushed him to the jail. It was the Hell. Then Joseph began to rise. He was made the chief of the prisoners and he had the keys of the jail. He interpreted the dreams of the butler and the baker. He was not noticeable till then. He had to interpret for Pharaoh.....so on.... What we can conclude from here is that our God is not that God who leaves his people in the midst of troubles. He always makes a way for his people. But we have to prove our faithfulness to Him. Glory be to our God forever and ever and ever.

What are the foolish things of the world? Would it be THE GOSPEL and THE PROPHETS? Because it's saying ‘’men whom the world would call foolish’’.
  • Charles L. Kennedy on 1 Timothy 2 - 13 years ago
Verse 14...the woman being deceived was in the transgression and not the man. Since Adam knew what he was doing, then why did he eat, knowing that he would die?
  • Randy on Romans 1:18 - 13 years ago
One must read John 3 over and over "men hates the light" neither come to the light" why? Because they love darkness, there’s none that seeketh after God, man has no desire for real truth, man doesn't want to give up his "pleasure of sin" men desire is towards sin and it's pleasure. Look at angels tell Lot to leave Sodom knowing its doom, the scriptures say "he lingered". Remember his wife looked back. A perfect picture of man when presented with gospel of grace, man will, lingered or look back. Before, Lot was in Sodom when he separated from Abraham. The scripture says he "pitch his tent towards Sodom”. Again man’s heart loves the world and it's deceiving pleasures. Remember all scripture is given for doctrine, reproof and correction, but to whom? Not to sinner but to the man of God, so that he can walk upright. All scripture is given so that we look at those examples. Men "knew Him not" they think they know Him but their heart is far from Him.
  • Thatohatsi on Job 13:15 - 13 years ago
Job was a good man but he had a bad time in his life when his animals died, his children died on the same day. It did not end there, even his skin had sores boils from head to the feet. But he never stopped praising his God. His wife lost hope and even said Job must insult God but Job said to her "you talk as a foolish woman, do we expect the good only from God?" He was a good man so now he even says if God can kill him but still he will trust in Him. Oh my God.

  • Timothy Wayne George on Revelation 6 - 13 years ago
Revelation 6:17 For the great day of His wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand? This is a question that we must answer now, before his wrath comes. For Christians are not appointed to wrath, but unbelievers are. Receive the Son, Jesus is the Son of God, and who ever believes in Him shall be saved. The book of Revelation, is about the unveiling of Jesus Christ in all of His glory. We may not understand every verse, but the most important thing is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved from the wrath to come.
  • Maku biswa on Titus 1 - 13 years ago
It is a good book. Can I get Titus 1:6 explained. Is it only elders and deacons should't have more than one wife or all Christians. If someone is a polygamist before conversion than what? Can such one believe in Jesus?

  • Marti on Psalms 83 - 13 years ago
This is to the question from NOTW’S : "so how did you come up with Jehovah?" The word Jehovah is the grammatically correct English word structure for Yahweh as found in the Oxford English Lexicon/Dictionary when one looks up the word Yahweh in that dictionary.

GOD’S WORD SAYS THAT IN THE MOUTH OF 2 OR 3 WITNESSES EVERY WORD WILL BE ESTABLISHED. SO IN LIGHT OF THAT I WILL SHARE A FEW TRUTHS ON GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION. IN ACTS 2:38 SEE THE ANSWER HE GAVE WHEN ASKED ‘’MEN AND BRETHERN WHAT SHALL WE DO?’’ PETER ANSWERED IN VERSE 38...REPENT, AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. WE FIND THAT THIS IS WITNESSED IN ACTS 10:34-48. AND ALSO IN ACTS 19 :1-7. MAY GOD OPEN EVERY EYE AND HEART TO THIS TRUTH. YOU WILL NOT FIND ONE WITNES TO BAPTISM USING THE WORDS FATHER, SON OR HOLY GHOST, BECAUSE FATHER IS NOT A NAME, SON IS NOT A NAME AND HOLY GHOST IS NOT A NAME,JESUS IS HIS NAME...

  • Lin on Genesis 3 - 13 years ago
I have a confusing question. Our Heavenly Father God, Creator of the world. He created man, Adam, as God called him. Adam was made before the Garden eastward of Eden. He placed Adam in the Garden, eastward of Eden, to till and tend it. Adam named all the animals of the world. In the Garden of Eden there was 2 trees one of Life and another the tree of knowledge of good and evil. When God placed Adam in the Garden, God told him Adam the rules commanded of the Garden, of every tree of the garden thou may eat freely. BUT the tree of knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat. What is the tree of life referring to? Being there were 2 important trees mentioned. Then after Adam named all animals etc, he saw there was not one help meet for him. So God caused deep sleep upon him. For God took a rib from Adam to form and created a woman. Yet the woman was not named Eve until the serpent beguiled her, of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Did Adam tell the women of Gods commands of the tree of knowledge? For it says God spoke to Adam of the command before God made the woman. Yet in Chapter 3, the serpent tricked her, what form was the serpent in to talk to the woman, to be saying she could eat of the tree. Yet she said God said no. Then God removed them from the Garden of Eden.
  • Justus David on Psalms 103 - 13 years ago
Which verse shall I pick from this wonderful Psalm to glorify my God? Just one for today "He redeemeth thy life from destruction" I was destined for hell sure as hell (pardon me) but God alone had the power to redeem my soul from destruction; this has finally happened in my 69th year, would you believe it?! All praise and glory to God through my redeemer King Jesus! So, regardless of your age or station in life, whether in death-row or locked up in a brothel, unable to escape, accept Lord Jesus as your personal savior right now my Brother/Sister, and be redeemed even as I was redeemed, even I!! Amen
  • Rebecca on Psalms 1 - 13 years ago
Have you ever notice the various "postures" described in this Psalm? Standing, sitting, walking, way...this is more than just practical, it is the "inside" of us that needs to be aware.
  • Onsando denis on Genesis 1 - 13 years ago

  • Casey on Leviticus 11 - 13 years ago
In spite of clear cut instructions in US and all of over East Asia, people salivate at pork products, snakes and other unclean things. Though consciously one should aspire not to eat these unclean things. I have this question about a verse in the Bible wherein Jesus says It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.” and explains this verse below “Don’t you understand yet?” Jesus asked. 17 “Anything you eat passes through the stomach and then goes into the sewer. 18 But the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you. 19 For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. These are what defile you. Eating with unwashed hands will never defile you.” now note Lord Jesus has mentioned eating with unwashed hands will never defile you ( does it included what the unclean animals too or just the clean animals eaten with unwashed hands)?
  • Daniel on Genesis 9 - 13 years ago
Noah was selected by God, to bring life back to the earth that was just destroyed, from what I understand to be overwhelming negativity and tyranny born into all men.

Noah then proceeds to get himself drunk and fall asleep nude, before God, and his family. Is this to imply that all men are inherently flawed?
  • Tsering on Matthew 5 - 13 years ago
5.41 Life is a journey, full of tests and obstacles. Believe that God is with you and put out your best efforts to overcome the obstacles, how can you not go that extra mile or even more?
  • Timothy Wayne George on Proverbs 17 - 13 years ago
Will you be a friend to someone, who is in need of a friend today? A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. My parents had six children, and the last two where boys. My mom said the first four kids, two boys, and two girls where to be the only children. Well God had other plans, and I remember this verse always. God knows the end, from the beginning, and He knew my parents needed two extra friends. Thank God for your children, for they are your friends, and they will love you always. When adversity comes, they will be there to help you. God does not make mistakes, and He knows just how many children you need. When we get to heaven, then will we be able to rejoice with all the friends that God blessed us to have.
  • Bwalya. on Mark 1 - 13 years ago
It’s so amazing to see how much power and authority Christ Jesus has, and even more wonderful to realize that He has given us the some power even beyond, to everyone of us who accepts his invitation as His disciples did, isn’t this winsome?.
  • Paul on Psalms 106 - 13 years ago
Focusing on verses 13 to 15 for the moment, although I guess to much of the Psalm, it applies to their fundamental sin, which was a lack of trust in God's goodness [an egocentric world view]...that He would provide them with the 'food' they needed in His perfect timing?
  • David on Mark 15 - 13 years ago
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Jesus was not forsaken by God, Jesus was teaching us his word, as it was written years before his crucifixion. Psalms Chapter 22 as confirmation that his word is true. Believe in his entire word as gospel or don't, it\'s your choice, God or the devil.
  • Marnie on Isaiah 9 - 13 years ago
Jeff and Jacques ... Matthew 28:19 ... The words of Jesus Christ ... "go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" ... Whose word is more important? The word of Peter or the word of Jesus Christ, the Son of God?
  • Q powers on Job 11 - 13 years ago

  • Evalena Latham on Psalms 27 - 13 years ago
Ps 27:1 The Lord is light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? This is a great joy to me to know and believe with all of my heart, that I no longer have to fear any man or any circumstance; for God is always with me. When the spirit of fear comes upon me, I can now by the power of God through Jesus Christ, refuse to yeild to it. Thank you Jesus for setting me free from fear now and forever. You are my joy and peace.
