"... blood of prophets, and saints and martyrs... " the verse does not say "on her hands was found... " or ... "on her head was found... " which would denote guilt for their murders... It says. "In her was found the blood of prophets, and saints, and martyrs... " as in denoting bloodlines. Who else in the entire world, has a blood line that is connected to such a wide array of prophets and saints and martyrs ?? We are a nation of every other nation on earth. Ee are home to the descendants of generations of believers. Their blood courses through our nations veins.. THEIR blood IS OUR BLOOD.. THEY ARE IN US.. That is my belief on the meaning of this passage.

I would like to add one more comment. If a thief today does not repent and change his wicked ways and does not follow Acts 2 38 and he dies still in the sin of thievery he is not going to heaven. Deuteronomy 25 16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD thy God. In the scriptures you will further find more things that God hat. 1 Corinthians 6 9 10 Know ye not that unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. These are just a few of many sins and things that God does not like.

Please clarify this for me. I believe strongly in acts 2 38. I can 't get my congregation to see that the holy ghost and holy spirit is different. The holy ghost is god 's spirit that he sent down on the day of Pentecost and the holy spirit is god himself. agree?
  • Anne McConathy on Deuteronomy 6:17 - 10 years ago
I noticed "His testimonies " being used in Deut. 6 17 and in Psalm 119 2, 119 14, 119 22, and 119 31. I know our testimony is what God has done in our lives, but what are His testimonies ? NKJV

Part 2 of 4 You referred to the scripture before Jesus was taking up into glory. The Jews were looking for Jesus to come and fight and destroy all of their enemies. They were not looking for him to be as merciful, humble, and forgiving as he was. Jesus during this time came to seek and to save that which was lost. This was his main focus during his time here. In Matthew 1 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS for he shall save his people from their sins. Who made people in the beginning? The answer is God did. In Revelation Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, states that he is Alpha and Omega the beginning and the Last. The scripture you are quoting when it talks about the just men, it is referring to the redeemed of the Lord. It is talking about those who have put on the name of Jesus Christ through Acts 2 38.
  • Joseph on Proverbs 6:32 - 10 years ago
I response to Vic 's comment on 2013 03 22 As She inquired "David committed adultery and his soul went to heaven. Are we talking about an unsaved person? ", We have to remember David regretted and repented! That 's why we stand a chance to say he went to heaven. He posed a lot of lamentations in Psalms. Somewhere, in the Old Testament is written, "If we confess our sins and abandon them, He is faithful. He shall cleanse us of all iniquity ".

When will God wipe away all tears from their eyes? According to Rev. 21 4, it is after the millennium, after the first heaven and earth pass away end of the earthly kingdom , and are replaced with a new heaven and new earth start of the heavenly kingdom . God does not wipe away all tears immediately following the Judgment Seat of Christ, as many have suggested. No, the Scriptures seem to teach instead that many believers will consciously regret throughout their millennial existence that they did not hate or lose their soul in this life in order to find and keep it in the millennial world to come as determined at the Judgment Seat . To Mrs Robinson 's remark of 10 24 2014 John the Baptist was baptizing in water those who repented their sins. Or don 't you even accept John the Baptist as "Jesus only " believer???? I am sure some people died between their water baptism.....before the Pentecost. Are they condemned to eternal death?
  • Schu on Revelation 14 - 10 years ago
William All you need is to believe all in your heart that Jesus is your PERSONAL SAVIOR. Anyone who accepts HIM, no matter what that person has done in the past, will be with him in paradise. Think of the two criminals that hung with Jesus, What did Jesus say to the one that believed in Him?
  • Daphne Sebastian on Revelation 16 - 10 years ago
I put myself in the shoes of a proud sinner and I realised that a sinner will be very angry with the God od the Bible after reading chapter 16. Then I put myself in the shoes of a humble repentant person and felt that Chapter 16 warns him ahead of time what to expect if he fails to obey God as required. The warning is a life line to rescue him from eternal death. I often wonder why some people hate to admit that there is a God out there who is so against evil conduct that He will exercise His prerogative only He has the right, no one else to deal with sin in the most painful and frightening way. Yet people sin. I must say that I am amazed that nothing frightens some people. Save your souls before its too late. Jesus will come anytime . But dont just wait . How do we know whether our time is up before His coming? I believe the rapture will be before the tribulation or at least before it ends. We are , I believe, in tribulation times already

Why does God say what God has created instead of what I or He has created ?
  • Insight 777 on Genesis 3 - 10 years ago
Chatauna, you asked if I am saved. Does Jesus lie? Jesus said, I DO NOT JUDGE but if I did it would be the will of my father, GOD. John 8.15 Ye judge after the flesh I judge no man. 16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. Jesus is saying he does not make the decisions as to who is saved and who is not saved. Only on Judgement day will God make those decisions and Jesus will carry out the verdict given to him by God. God makes the decisions and gives the orders to Jesus. So Jesus is saying to everyone, I judge no man. Even the disciples that he loved will be judged by God in the future at a date unknown by Jesus and their salvation fate is in Gods hands not his. I refuse to glorify myself above Jesus and say that I am saved. If Jesus does not know my fate how can I? Psalms 7.11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. Hebrews 12.23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 2 Timothy 4.1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the deadat his appearing and his kingdom When we meet on Judgement Day we will ALL be told if we are saved or not. May Gods mercy be on us.

Hello Mark I will give you one scripture that will answer your question. 1 Timothy 3 16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory ". Now my question for you is who was in the flesh? Who was justified in the Spirit? Who was seen of angels? Who preached to the Gentiles? Who was received up into glory? The answer to all of these question is our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a mystery.

Hello Lee The word But is being used here as a conjunction. The word But is used to introduce something contrasting with what has already been mentioned. Have you ever informed someone you can make yourself at home, but do not go into my room and touch my things? This is what God did. If I can say it like this, he said alright now you can eat of everything but this tree. Do not eat of this tree of knowledge of good and evil. See when God stated that man was in his imagine he was not talking about skin color he was talking about some of his attributes. Do me a favor please read my comments I made on page 2 of Chapter 1 of Genesis to Anonymous on 10 10 14 at 1 18 pm. I cannot explain it no better than that. My point is this same God that made us gave us the intelligent to use the word But as a conjunction, then why can t God use it as a conjunction? When you think about it he used it first. We would not even have words or language if God had not given them to us.

What must I do to obtain eternal life? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved Acts 16 31 . To believe is to trust, to depend upon. It is not merely acknowledging that Jesus died and was resurrected. It is recognizing that He died for YOU, to pay the price for YOUR sins, so that YOU might have eternal life. It is choosing to depend on His blood atonement as the payment for your sins in satisfaction of God s justice. For He God the Father hath made Him Jesus Christ the Son to be sin for us, who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him that is, in Jesus 2 Corinthians 5 21 . In order to be saved, you simply need to depend on Jesus as your Savior from sin. Going to church, getting baptized, or living a moral life will not save you. Salvation is not of works. It is a gift of God to be accepted by faith alone. It is not faith in Christ plus your good works. It is trusting Jesus alone. For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God Not of works, lest any man should boast Ephesians 2 8 9 . The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ Romans 6 23 . Cr. Revival Focus Forum

  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
If you only agree that it is God himself that has manifested himself in the flesh and deny the sacrifice, and say God himself sacrificed himself you simply deny the sacrifice of the son. Do you all deny the sacrifice? or do you claim that it was God himself that made the sacrifice?
  • Mark on John 1 - 10 years ago
I believe that there is only one God, and that God happens to be the father of Jesus. I do not believe that Jesus is God. I do not take away from Jesus s sacrifice, the bottom line is who sacrificed? Are you saying God himself sacrificed? Or are you denying the son sacrifice?

Hello Word You need to go back and reread Nicodemus words. John 3 4 thru 6 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother s womb, and be born? Then Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit . Nicodemus had already covered the question about being birth from the womb. Jesus answered and informed him that which is born of the flesh is flesh. What Jesus was talking about here is being baptized in water and being filled with the Holy Ghost. This has nothing to do with Earth or the womb of a woman. The womb of a woman is a natural birth. You have to be submerged in water for a true baptismal experience with the preacher calling over you the name of the LORD Jesus Christ.

Part 2 of 2 Insight 777 let me ask this, Are you saved? Have you followed Acts 2 38? See I know that Eden is real. I have been filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God give utterance. I am not bragging because it is not of my goodness that God filled me, but it is because of God s goodness, mercy, and grace that I live in Christ Jesus. The Bible is truth. John 17 17 Sanctify them through thy truth thy word is truth . This statement is not saying that only a portion of the word is true. This statement is saying that the whole word of God is truth. I believe the whole Bible not just a portion of it or a part of it that suits me. I believe the whole thing.

Part 1 of 2 Hello Insight 777 Eden is a place all by itself. If Earth was Eden then why hasn t anyone found the tree of life? If someone found the tree of life then there would be no death or sickness. When Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden where did they go? Is Earth a place of peace? We have wars and rumor of wars, murders, thieves, crime upon the innocent the list goes on and on. Also in regard to Paul speaking about his encounter it still talks about paradise and is spoken of in Revelation 2 7 where the tree of life is then it speaks about the tree of life again in Revelation 22 2. Then in Isaiah 42 5 Thus saith God the LORD he that created the heavens, and stretched them out he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein?

EDEN is EARTH, all of it. All of earth was made for mankind, Adam and Eve. Eden is not just one spot where they were not allowed anywhere else as if they were in a prison. Is earth hidden from view? The GARDEN of Eden was earth at peace. Now earth still exists but all over the earth there is evil so it is no longer a garden, a restful beautiful place at peace. It is now just land where man toils and fights over rights of ownership and resources.
