  • Jacob on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
We we believe the whole bible but take in consideration to whom it is speaking. Before the cross is O.T. doctrine Heb 9:17. The verse you quoted said covet to PROPHESY. So according to that verse one should ardently want to prophesy. The speaking in tongues was needed at Corinth because Corinth see Acts 18:1 had lots of Jews see verse 2 and there was a synagoge beside the place where they were meeting and Jews require a sign 1 Cor 1:22 and tongues are for a SIGN 1 Cor 14:22. Those are verses in their context. Mark 16 and Acts 2 has baptism associated with salvation because it is the Kingdom gospel being preached by a man names Simon Peter who didn 't even know of the body of Christ mystery. This was revealed to the Apostle Paul Eph 3:1-9. They said what must WE do in Acts 2. This is as a Nation because the KINGDOM is being offered to the JEWISH NATION see Acts 3:19, Rom 11:26-29, Heb 8:8-12, Jer 31:33-34, 33:8,50:20, Dan 9:24. No one is saved like Acts 2:38 again. Acts 16:31 shows how an individual is saved. What must I do to be SAVED? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and THOU SHALT BE SAVED.

33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation? 34 That ye shall say, Thy servants ' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen for every SHEPARDS is an abomination unto the Egyptians. After Joseph ask his Bros. to say cattle in GEN 47: 3 his bros still say SHEPARDS, could someone explain this to me. Thank you, Sandra

  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Around the circle reasoning merry go round we go. Tongues are for a sign 1 Cor 14:22 and Jews require a sign 1Cor 1:22. The Jews in Acts 2 are getting the gospel of the Kingdom preached to them, not the gospel of the Grace of God. The second coming is in view here. Joel 2 was not completely fulfilled. Notice especially that the events of verse 19 and 20 never happend. The signs are there to confirm the word Mark 16:20 because the New Testament wasn 't written yet. No one is saved like Acts 2:38 again. In ch 8 hands are laid. In Acts 10 no baptism required. Acts is a transitional book from the law to pure grace. Peter starts getting straight on his doctrine in Chapter 10 then by Chapter 15 he is convinced that it is by grace through faith. No works Eph 2:8thru9. Rightly divide. Who is the verse talking to? All Scripture is for you but not all is TO you doctrinally. Jesus is always the same, yes. But He certainly deals with men differently in different time periods. You can eat pork today but under the law you couldn 't. Baptism was a part of salvation under the gospel of the Kingdom but not under grace. Acts 2:38 is condemned under the church age Gal 1:8-9.

Daemon this is for you. You, being an Atheist, see things in the Bible that you are educated enough to know that some of these things are not possible to do. You are absolutely right. These thing can not be done in the FLESH, but what you are not recognizing is that those things can be done in the SPIRIT. Here is an example--The Lord God formed man from the DUST. Dust is anything useless, worthless or no good for nothing. So is this statement referring to a fleshly body being formed out of DUST or is it referring to a Spirited person who was useless, worthless and no good for nothing? God is a SPIRIT so one must stay Spiritually Focused as you read. The Bible is the Greatest Book ever written by man. Your views about the Bible will change if you follow the Spiritual Pattern of Understanding. One must RIGHTLY divide the Word of God. God Bless You--Keep reading and questioning. Let no man deceive you.

  • Tim on John 4 - 10 years ago
Interesting that Jesus MUST go to Sychar. Jews had no dealings with Samaritians. But to be sitting and talking to a Woman of Samaria? His disciples know better than to question, even Peter. This is another example of Jesus using a woman to bring the message of salvation. Though they reminded her, they found her message to be true, she would get no credit for it. But she had already been used by Jesus. Jesus uses whom He pleases. The ground is level around the Cross.

If verse 5 really has to do with clothing then you would be saying that women today wouldn 't be allowed to wear skirts. Because guess what!!?? Men at the time of this writing wore SKIRTS. They didn 't wear trousers or pants! So ponder than for a moment.
  • Joni G on John 14 - 10 years ago
No person comes to the Father except by Jesus. Jesus is the only Way to Eternal Life. Exodus 3:13-14 says,And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Moses needed confidence and and God said to tell him that I AM was sending Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt by I AM 's power. John 14 passage is a treasure because Jesus is talking about being the WAY to eternal life and being the only Way to God. Also that Jesus would send the Holy Spirit in His name after Jesus ascended back to the Father, coming on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2. John is one of my favorite books in the Bible. Yes, God has different names but only one begotten Son, Jesus and we have life in His name, when we trust and obey Him.

Good morning all. So glad I found this site. Glad tidings to let all who love Jesus and his father who is our father who art in heaven. Hallowed be his name. And in his name I tell you all, he is here on Earth whom died for us. Thomas his "twin ". How? We don 't know but we know by spirit and I have proof by photos ie images as proof specifying that truly as mentioned he was reborn and all who praise him will agree to my testimony, I promise. Jesus did not reborn flesh into womb but by spirit into flesh and lives on with us among this world as we continue trusting him and praising him. After 29 years I am finally convinced enough to tell all here of his existence I have seen and felt and captured as proof on paper and in writings even in stones I 've found with his eye engraved and his writings of Aramaic, language of Jesus engraved as well. These stones I 've found are the color of golden brown and some gold. These stones were also mention in KJV not misinterpreted in any way. Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks.

My question on Paul 's comment on 11-07-2013, 4:53 am...if Jesus Christ is not Almighty who else can be coming if it not Jesus Christ? In The book of Revelation in chapter 1, says The revelation of Jesus Christ in verse 8 same chapter last part, which is to come, the Almighty. Is this not Jesus Christ?
  • Auntee Teen on Genesis 17 - 10 years ago
Is it just me or does Abraham seem arrogant? He is before God, as God promises him land, and tells him that great kings will cone from him. Yet even though God continues to tell him how Blessed he will be, Abraham laughs at what God tells him thinking his own thought in his mind. Then in vs. 20 God lets Abraham know that he heard his comment about Ishmael, almost 2nd hand. In verse 21 it says ,but, first as if reiterating what was said the first time. And then in verse 22 I felt that God went up from Abraham before he could say or think another thing because Abraham was questioning God 's decisions.
  • Paul on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
Truly, and atheist is nothing more than someone who has decided that he doesn 't believe in God. Romans 1 says that God has made Himself known to all creatures. No one has an excuse. If you consider yourself an atheist, and will read the Bible because it seems interesting, then you will learn nothing. God is sovereign and He commands your very heart-beat. Romans 9 says He endures 'vessels of wrath ' in order to show His glory in the lives of His 'vessels of life '. Are you a vessel of wrath or life? Only God knows. But one thing is for sure, you are not getting any younger, and one day he will call you home to stand in judgment to answer for your life. Because He is the potter and you are the pottery, your only hope is to submit and humble your pride and ego and beg for mercy until He responds. Otherwise you are nothing more than kindling for the fires of hell. This is truth and you can either accept it or deny it and plug your ears. Perhaps you have come across this site for a reason?

  • Jacob on Acts 10 - 10 years ago
John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother 's womb Luke 1:15. No tongues.Jesus had the Holy Ghost without measure Jn 3:34 and didn 't speak in tongues. Jesus never spoke in tongues although He knows all things Jn 21:17. The apostles had John 's baptism and were never baptized according to Acts 2:38 and straight to Heaven they went. Jesus didn 't baptize Jn 4:2. Thats strange if water baptism saves. Are all apostles? No. are all prophets? No. are all teachers? No. are all workers of miracles? No. Have all the gifts of healing? No. do all speak with tongues? No. Covet the best gifts. Charity is the best gift. This modern generation is so concerned with gifts and not the fruit of the Spirit. Children are concerned with gifts and their own edification 1 Cor 3:1-3. Give one reference where tongues are commanded.
  • Paul, David Peter Baker on Hebrews 1:1 - 10 years ago
If a prophet is for gain or is telling your fortune be careful, plus signs and wonders from God sre not temporary. God today and yesterday.true God never changes but we must, Jesus is the light of the world if light means wisdom if we walk by faith and Godly wisdom we can walk in, and with the Holy Spirit who is the power of God, I believe that Jesus sets on the right hand of God not next to Him but in Him if we be in Him He in us then the Anointing ,the Power of God will be seen. When God spoke or even speaks today it has always been, what is to come!!! Jesus said you will know by the testimony of Me!!! Alpha the Omega we as carnal people are so caught up in gain that we can 't see nor are we listen concerning the times. Jesus asked how long must I be with you???? Can 't you see the seasons,,,, Now let those who have an ear to hear let them hear.

My take away point is this, there are satanic influences in the government. Now, this isn 't a hate the government statement at all. Romans 13:1 encourages us to give the proper respect to government without overstepping our rightful respect to god. However, if satan is saying that he OWNS the governments, and that means all the governments, then who are you really voting for? In so e governments more than others we see satan has a hand in it. Yet this shows all governments are under satan 's influence. Governments are merely doing what god said would happen in genesis. Man dominating man.

  • Linda Templet on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
Hello Chatauna: I read your comments. It seems to me that you seem to see what I see. The Bible speaks of the god of the earth and the God of the heaven in the Book of Revelations. Now what I see and totally understand is that I am reading a Spiritual Book not a book concerning the making of a human body. Let me stand on this. Is there a God? The Atheist would say "No " and the Christian would say "Yes ". Now I am going to say to both of you PROVE IT. This is a constant fight that cannot be proven. There will never be any peace, love, or togetherness in this world until we stop trying to prove each other wrong. Could the Atheist and the Christian peaceably come together in unity if the Image of a Body was taken away as we study this Spiritual Book? This Spiritual Book of wisdom and knowledge is to change a persons Life and a persons Ways. We must rightly divide the Word of God. When you see the word "God " in the Bible its not always referring to the Spiritual God most of the time it is referring to the god of the earth--MANKIND. We need to understand and rightly divide what we are reading. Amen?
