through this chapter, I got puzzled when reading verses, 3 to 7 verse 28 and verse 30, specially verse 28 where Peter said . . . "God had showed me . . . I wonder whether it was just a vision of an angel or God Himself that Peter saw! in other words, I 'd like to ask, "Has man ever seen God? "
  • Jumin on Exodus 20:3 - 10 years ago
Nearly all translations, including the KJV, say "...no other gods before me. " Does this mean I can have other gods after him? Only one translation says "...but me. " This implies that the original Hebrew may have allowed implicit polytheism at one point in the Bible 's history. Just wondering if anyone could find a chronological comparable timeframe that negates that notion. Thank you.

Man kind can not restore that which only Jesus can restore. Can men restore the church?
  • Insight 777 on Revelation 18 - 10 years ago
Verses 11,12 and 13, people will no longer buy beautiful jewels and clothes or herbs and perfumes. They will not buy food or animals. WHY? the answer is NO ONE will want radioactive things. No one will want to wear radioactive jewelry and clothes or eat radioactive food or live in radioactive palaces or homes. All that survive will stand far off to avoid the plague of radioactive contamination. Items of immense earthly value will suddenly become worthless.

I have always attended church on Sunday, never thought to observe the Sabbath Day which is a commandment of God. However, my faith and trust Have grown more and more and the Holy Spirit lead me into all truth. When I started reading Revelations then I received the truth about the Sabbath Day. I have attended Life church for 22 yrs. Never taught about what day to worship to keep the Sabbath. Now I do not want to attend the church because they worship on Sunday what should I do in between looking for another church who worship on Saturday? Since Saturday was changed to Sunday through man 's law and not of God because God does not change.

Our requests should be in line with the will of God.His timing is perfect. In the book of Daniel,God gave an answer to a prayer after three minutes and on another occasion after twenty one days Daniel 13 .His answer could be yes,no,or wait. One pastor told of a lady who was devastated when her relationship fell apart. She felt like it was the end of the world. However, three years later she met the pastor and told him that she was happily married and that her previous boyfriend had already been jailed twice and was abusive to his wife. She indeed thanked God for not agreeing to her previous request.God is already in your future ,trust Him because He wants the best for you.Sometimes we have to thank God for closed doors. Whatever we get from God should be used for His glory. Is it riches? use them to help the poor so that they can give glory to God.After all we are only stewards of God 's riches. We must therefore strive to imitate Christ by having His heart and mind.He died on the cross for all who accept Him as Lord and Saviour. That 's love personified.

  • C C Chukwukelu on 1 John 3 - 10 years ago
This chapter tells us how much God loves us by given his son to die for us and the reason why Christ manifested . He that committeth sin is of the devil for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.may be the reason for our struggles with sin is because we haven 't fully let Christ in? May if we give Jesus his fully deserved place in our lives then he can destroy the works of sin in us.24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

  • R. Smith on Proverbs 3 - 10 years ago
I 'm learning more and more each day to to seek the Lord for directions because he is the way. I can do my own thing and head for destruction? The Lord wants awesome things for his children which is why he left us instructions, but it 's up to each of us to follow them. God 's word is blessed, so shall his people be blessed. Verse 5 is necessary for our well being.
  • Mike on Romans 2:25 - 10 years ago
In this and all references to circumcision in the New Testament St. Paul seems to mean that if a man has ever sinned--and we 're all told by ministers and priests and rabbis?! that each of us has "in Adam 's Fall, we sinned all " . Therefore, a circumcised man may as well not be circumcised in the first place. He has had broken his covenant with God. Whether or not one appears circumcised physically, how one thinks is what counts. Romans 2:25 and Galatians 5:2-3 in particular reiterate this. Thus circumcision is a medical operation that 's often a superfluous waste of time.

  • Kevin Agee on 1 Corinthians 13:11 - 10 years ago
Is this passage really all that complicated? Well, maby not so. Keeping the parabolic context in place, the content in and of itself is cautionary a "yield sign " if you will. There will always come the Godly revelation to progress from the dependence of fleshy provisions to dependence of spiritual enlightenment.
  • Sawali on Psalms 46:4 - 10 years ago
Is this in heaven or right on earth, is in future, which river is this?
  • Jeff Ivy on Matthew 23:10 - 10 years ago
According to the gospel, the meaning is clear. Jesus said that he is the only shepherd, teacher, poimen, pastor. He said this again in John 10:16. He also said much about hired shepherds in John 10:11-13. I find it ironic that just above these comments there is a paid ad that says, "Ready to be a Pastor? Click here "
  • Donnie on Ephesians 2 - 10 years ago
Daryll, Thorugh rentance, baptism, and receiving the Holy Spirit ? Salvation comes by one placing their failth souly in Jesus Christ and his work and at the moment we do this by faith we are baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirt and everyone who receives Jesus Christ, receives the Holy Spirit ! The dispensation of grace the church age does not need to be intangled with the doctrines of baptism or any other sacrement... Everything we need is in the Person of Jesus Christ !
  • Norm on Mark 13 - 10 years ago
Bozki, Are you saying that the Scriptures give us no idea of when the Lord will gather His Church or establish His Kingdom on earth? Also, are you certain that each of us who have already died once will also die a second death? Please reference particular Scripture if you answer. May the LORD bless all who yearn for the truth and nothing but the truth.
  • Segun Onanusi on Proverbs 16:7 - 10 years ago
Enemies are inevitable, some will even dislike you for nothing sake, but if you acknowledge God in everything you do,ie doing whatever you do as if you are doing it for God. Then those who sees you as enemy will be compelled to align. You will become a light, indispensable and important. So if you are victimized, and it seems everyone is against you and you wonder why things are turned upside down then the first thing to do is examine your life, character and your actions at that period. Does it pleases God?, can God depend on you?, is it in agreement with the word of God. If No, you need to start adjusting your ways but if yes, you have nothing to worry about, just keep on doing your best following His guidance.

  • Norm on Mark 13 - 10 years ago
I see much discussion throughout this site regarding when The Lord will return. Noting Motdaugrnds 's comment are you referring to the gathering of the Church which is also known as the body of Christ or are you referring to when Christ establishes His Kingdom? Each of these grand events would count as His return or coming. But, they are separate events occurring in different times or years. Please consider the stern and direct warnings in Matthew 24:48 and Luke 12:45 from the Lord God Almighty. Blessings to all who yearn for the knowledge of the truth.
  • Bozki on Mark 13 - 10 years ago
This passage Talks about the RETURN of the KING., but we did not know when it happens.Jesus taught us, made us aware of the the things that happens now. Brothers and Sisters in CHRIST, We dont know, nobody knows when is really the 2nd coming, but we are very very sure that any of this TIME, DEATH come to everyone of us, Question is, are we ready to face GOD?what will be our answer if GOD ask us What did you do on earth while you are alive that makes me HAPPY? or We can hear GOD says, well done my good and faithful servant. Jesus taught us to WATCH and PRAY, watching means read the Word of GOD, teach others who did not know the truth, and your faith will be strengthen through PRAYERS.If we do this GOD will be PLEASED. GOD Bless Everyone.
