    1 Corinthians 3:9-15

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

    Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for THE DAY shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a REWARD.

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself SHALL BE SAVED, yet so as by fire.

    COMMENT:

Question we ask ourselves honestly: what are we building with?

Are we building up the Body of Christ?

Jesus: we are to be imitating; doing. If we can't Go Ye, then maybe equip those that are? Commit to pray for the workers of the Harvest? Luke 10:2

    Genesis 1:7 KJV

    (7) And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

God divided the waters (people) which were under the firmament (the unbelievers) from the waters (people) which were above the firmament (the believers).

Jesus said He was from above while those who did not believe Him were from beneath.

    John 8:23-24 KJV

    (23) And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

    (24) I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

As God divided the waters, we also must not be unequally yoked together (those who are above with those from under the firmament) with the unbelievers of the Word of Truth that we hear spoken from above. The firmament or expanse is the opening up of our ears to the hearing of the knowledge of God spoken from Heaven. Belief/faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God.

    2 Corinthians 6:14-15 KJV

    (14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

    (15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

The waters were divided as God calls us to come out from among the unbelievers of the Word of Truth and be separate from them. What communion does light have with those of are of the darkness?

    2 Corinthians 6:17-18 KJV

    (17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

    (18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

We should all know the good things the Lord says about Jerusalem. However

Jerusalem: What the Bible alone says... Part 1

Isaiah 3:8 - For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

Micah 3:10 - They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

Jeremiah 4:14 - O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

Jer 8:5 - Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

Jer 9:11 - And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.

Jer 13:27 - I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?

Jer 19:3 - And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

Jer 23:14 - I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

Jer 44:9 - Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?

  • Bob Hilt on Jeremiah 49:3 - 5 years ago
Bill sometimes those words meaning Lord or King is associated with satanism.

Baal meant Lord and was so associated with satanism the Lord said not to call him that anymore.

Judges 2:13 And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

Judges 8:33 And it came to pass, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baalberith their god.

Jeremiah 19:5 They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind: (CHILD SACRIFICES)

Hosea 2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.

1 Kings 11:5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

2 Kings 23:13 And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.

What is this "original Hebrew" stuff? Do you want to call the God of Heaven a name associated with Devils?

    REVELATIONS QUESTIONS???

I am unable to fit all Tribulation events (Seals, Trumpets, and Vials) into a 7 year time period.

A 7 year time period is not given in the Book of Revelations concerning the Tribulation.

The Book of Daniel refers to this time period as the final "seven" of the "seventy weeks" ( Daniel 9:24). That final 7 has been going on for over 2000 years.

In the "midst of the week" does refer to the middle of a set of SEVEN years when the sacrifice and the oblation will cease, and this refers to the 7 Vials of Revelations 16:1-18:24 which are poured out at the END.

In addition, Jesus said that the time of the "Great Tribulation" would be "shortened" ( Matthew 24:22). We find that this particular time (after the 5th Trumpet and the 1st Woe) is shortened to "five months" (Revelations 9:5). Where does this factor in?

The period of time covering "Jacob's trouble" ( Jeremiah 30:7) is 20 years; It could be seen as 13 years if the first 7 are not counted; because they seemed "but as a few days" ( Genesis 29:20). Could this be a more plausible time period for all events to take place?

my question is about divorce and remarriage. My husband left after 23 years of marriage. Shortly after I was remarried to someone who said he was a Christian but isn't. I broke up with him 3 times because of it, but kept going back to him because I felt so bad. Now I'm unequally yoked and feel as though I've co.mitted a sin that I can't be forgiven of. My life is miserable, full of anxiety and fear. Its causing a lot of problems to the point I want out of this marriage. Please help.

Satans time is short and he's doing all he can to make us unemployed, sick, scared, suicidal, addicted, sad

    1 Samuel 18:4 Exchanging Armor

And Jonathan stripped himself of the ROBE that was on him and gave it to David, and his ARMOR, and even his SWORD and his BOW and his BELT.

Jesus exchanged HIS armor with US. Why?

Because we are warring against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:10-18. Read ALL those center column references to other Books. See Isaiah 24:21-22. Romans 13:1-5,11-12; John 12:31

Jesus did not leave us here to just wear a wedding garment and hold a lamp of oil.

He left us scripture that we're to do spiritual war in the heavenlies. It's about strong faith and prayer: intercession; "standing in the gap". Jesus is making intercession for us right now! People come into the prayer room with grievous problems we SHOULD BE praying & doing war for. Ephesians 6:12, Romans 8:38, Colossians 1:9, 16-17; 2:15. 1 Thessalonians 5:8

Standing in the gap is when you hold a lamb in your arms of prayer, and war against the demonic hoards that are trying to kill it; steal its life, destroy its hope in Jesus! It should make you want to save that lamb. Do you have any "lambs" in your life? Are you willing to snatch it out of the hands of Satans hoard of demons, WITH the WORD of God?

You have a wealth of Bible Knowledge but are any lambs being saved with weighty speech? Don't you want to receive a Crown at Bema Seat? What would Jesus do? He showed us in His Gospels. If we are His followers we will imitate what he was Doing.

Multitudes of people are committing suicide for unbelievable reasons. That's on Satans scoreboard. Is there anyone who will challenge that? Do you know how to take the scriptures and frighten the demons off of someone on a chair with a rope around their neck? Or a hypodermic needle going in an arm.

Parents!Pray rightly for your kids. Punch out Satan! We have permission!

  • Chris on Genesis 21:9 - 5 years ago
Joan, Romans 7 is one of those very personal, intimate revelations Paul gave of his life: his battle between the spirit & the flesh. He could have easily avoided mentioning his struggle & given his readers the impression that he was a great follower of Christ, enjoying daily victory over every sin. But, being led of the Spirit, he had to confess that his apostleship, his meeting with Christ & even his vision of the glory of Heaven, were not enough to raise him to any greater position than we are at today. In fact, he said that he was "given a thorn in the flesh" ( 2 Cor 12:7) to keep him humble so those privileges wouldn't 'go to his head'.

So in Romans 7, Paul speaks of his battle in the spirit. He longed to please God in every area of his life, but evil (i.e. the working of the body of sin) was always present with him. And so he struggled, but he found that through all this, that only Jesus Christ could help & deliver him. How so? Two ways: by virtue of Christ's death, Paul & all who believe on Jesus, have their sins dealt with at the Cross. In other words, Satan can no more accuse us before God. And secondly, through Jesus alone, could Paul & us find victory over the flesh. Even though Satan will always niggle at us to make us sin, Christ gives us the power to withstand Satan & the appeals of the flesh. In fact, Paul speaks in Gal 2:20 that he is now crucified with Christ & in Rom 6:6, he tells us that our 'old man' (our old nature) was crucified at the Cross. And if that is the case, we are to reckon ourselves dead to sin & now alive to God through Jesus ( Rom 6:11). (onto Page 2).

When Paul talked about doing the things he didn't want to and not doing the things he wanted to

He said oh wretched man that I am. Who can set me free? Then thanked for Jesus, the one that can. I have prayed daily for this and ponder and wonder why i am still in bondage knowing it is not His will.

I am often puzzled by the need of the last few generations to make all angels Jesus.

What would be the purpose of 10 thousand angels if all they did was sing songs?

What would be the meaning of "King of Kings" or sitting at the right of God?

Like the man of authority said, I speak and they do. Jesus sits on the right hand of God and commands. If He had to keep coming to Earth, why?

And that brings up the second objection of translations of a particular word (ie: I am or Jehovah). The Bible is to be taken in faith. Not absolutes. The answers to all questions are not included. However, do you choose to follow God (in faith); or believe in other forms of worship is (Satan, delusions, false prophets, traditions, etc.)

I am not trying to be offensive or claim I know better than anyone else. I seek God's will and to become a Disciple of Christ through the Holy Spirit. I am just trying to test all things and prove them.
