Your trivia on Luke17 has a discrepency in the number of men who had leprosy that came to Jesus. When I read the standard english bible, it says there were 10 men who were lepers. Your King James bible version says there are 11. Who has the correct account of the bible?

The KJV differs from NASB, NIV and others in the wording of 2Thes 2:1,2,3. Especially in regards to

verse 2 where KJV says the day of Christ is at hand, where the others say the day of the Lord has come. We have been told that the NASB comes from older (therefore more trusted) manuscripts by a pastor friend. This guy is, by the way, an expert in Greek and Hebrew and has both masters and

doctorate degrees. Nonetheless, we prefer the KJV for, perhaps not very good reasons. It seems to us that both KJV and NASB are consistent within themselves but differ greatly, one from the other. Have you any words of wisdom in support of the KJV? Thanking you in advance I am yours in Jesus.

  • Angela Hope on Exodus 20 - 5 years ago
I learned the Ten Commandments using mnemonics, 1bun 2 shoe 3 key & so on, but every time I try to recite them now I get mixed up & can't remember what 10's mnemonic was & I totally miss Commandments 2 & 3!!! Did anyone else use these mnemonics & remember them? Or have other ones I might use? I want to teach my grandchildren but also I want to remember them myself!!

    Please Help!

I love that this site exists & can easily be found, searched, researched & read. It takes away ANY excuse people might make about not hearing or knowing The Word of GOD & of not believing because they "didn't know."

Thank You to the many people who would have had to labor to bring this site into existence & to those who maintain it! Keep up the Good Work!

    Evermore.

  • HOW ARE YOU FOLLOWING JESUS on Acts 2:38 - 5 years ago
read about "the Spiritual Man" by Watchman Nee: its weighty, but thoroughly explains the inner workings of the flesh, our souls and the spirit (which is made alive) upon being born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

The Godhead is made up of 3 distinct persons. We are born of flesh and soul. When we receive Jesus as Savior and Lord, our spirits are made alive to God.

The Holy Spirit tells us about Jesus. JN chapters 16-17

That's why it's paramount to build up our inner most selves on reading the Bible. Why not begin reading in the New Testament?

I did a study just in the Gospels about the dynamics between Jesus, the Father, the Holy Spirit; the Apostles; and you can see how the Body of Christ is to operate as a unit...one Body. It keeps you focused.

The Old Testament can be accessed to see the prophesies that have been fulfilled, or the few that are being fulfilled now.

We are to be involved in EQUIPPING the Saints of God for the Lord to have available; disciples to work in this End Time Harvest.

We are to be His Body that sees, hears, teaches and preaches what we have learned; TO THOSE THAT ARE PERISHING !

Has anybody memorized the link out on the Red Section that has the Link: How TO Become A Christian??

Where is The Spirit of John the Baptist? Calling people to repent and be born again?

Do you know enough to lead them in a prayer for salvation? Point them to a Church that possesses the pure milk of the Word?

    1 Corinthians Chapter 3

1 And I, brethren, could NOT speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

2 I have fed you with MILK and not with MEAT: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it; NEITHER NOW are ye able.

3 For ye are yet CARNAL: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

    John 4:34

JESUS saith unto them, My MEAT is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

I am a very strong believer but I am concerned about this. When the end of time comes how are we to know what to do and the right things to do like the mark and how to do all the right things? Like the mark of the beast, does everyone get the mark or who does and how to know what all the right things are to do? The reason I ask this is it looks like it is going to be like we have never seen or ever will and I want to make sure I do all the right things when the time comes. Thanks you.

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

9 If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.

Could l get an interpretation on what this scriptures meant during the days of King Solomon and what it meant culturally and religiously for the Jew. Thanks.

October 22, 2020, my granddaughter, Naomi Grace Haywood, turns 15 years old today. We have a tradition of reading one's "birthday Psalm" as part of our birthday celebrations and I wonder: Lord, why have you chosen this for Naomi's birthday? That the Lord's return for us is near is evident: may He make us, especially those we love, ready that we may endure whatever is coming upon us. Bless you Lord Jesus and blessed be your Holy Name!

Acts 8:40....re the distance from the place of baptism of the Ethiopean eunoch to Azotus?

Translated that distance very quickly( instantaneously?) by God?

Similar to the story of Jesus in the boat and storm being translated " immediately" to their destination? John 6:21

Does this answer the Q " How did the animals get to and from Noah's ark during the flood story?

They were translated there by God? Vs they migrated there......how would the kangaroo from Australia

get to and from the ark of Noah if HE didn't do it " immediately" ?
  • RONALD on Tobit 13:6 - 5 years ago
So if you take the mark so you can eat etc. but don't worship the beast, are you condemned? It says worships AND take the mark. What if you don't worship but take the mark? It doesn't say OR take the mark but AND. I'm sure the question will be coming up very soon for everyone. Thanks.

there is a verse or verses that pertain to the fruit of the trees being food and the leaves of the trees being our medicine. I think that I saw it in Isaiah but I am not sure but it had taken a profound impact on me. Are you familiar with anything in the scriptures that pertain to this?

There are no conditions in Love. What is Love? God is Love. When we Believe with all of our Heart, We will Trust with all of our heart and Trust brings Love. Trusting in man will fail time and again. Trusting in the Lord with all of our hearts...Leads to less understanding in sight and more understanding in faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. And with faith, we are accounted righteousness. We see we are not worthy of this as we are but dust and sinners and fall short and there is not one good...and yet , He give sHis righteousness to clean these filthy rags on us. We can only Love our God when He does this. We can only say, God is for us who can be against. What can this world do unto me. There is nothing too hard for our God

I have heard some say it's ok to pray to the Holy Spirit , and even some will worship Him !

    What says the scriptures?

Can anyone show a verse that teaches or practices praying TOO the spirit ?

Multitudes of verses praying through the spirit , very much not the same thing .

    Read John 16 v 13 , 14 , 15

The Holy Spirit never draws attention to himself but to The Lord Jesus and Father .

    In 1 Timothy 4. .1

Now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in latter times some shall depart from the faith , giving heed to seducing spirits , and doctrines of devils .

Yes we are in the latter times , so even some can be tricked into going after these false imitation s of the Holy Spirit . So these spirits are more persuasive than the written word . Yes they are real indeed .

Our only safeguard is the truth of the scriptures .

False prophets will be under their control and be able to do many things supernatural. Yet false . To deceive people from the truth .

At one time RCC forbid Their priests to marry , interesting!

The Spirit of truth will lead you into all truth , but these seducing spirits will attempt to deceive if you do not hold to the word of God in truth .

Anything contrary to sound doctrine is error . It evaluates the spirits . Read 1 John 4 .1,2,3,4,5,6.... 15 ,16 read the whole chapter

I'm seeing comments about the rapture for Acts 2:41 but I don't see anything about the church being taken up there. Rather I see about the Jewish believers in Jerusalem selling all they had and putting it all together for them to share with all as they have need. More than likely they, too, believed that Christ was returning very very soon, which he did not. Later we see Paul taking up collections from the jews that were scattered around Europe, to send to the poor believers in Jerusalem. In other words the original selling of their goods had been used up. Not sure how one would get the rapture from this. Just asking.
