If you read Genesis very slowly, underline the words: created, formed, made, moulded__you will understand better how God created; what he used. Eve was taken out of Adam, to be close to his heart.

God performed the first marriage after Adam and Eve's creation. First man and woman and First marriage.

They were both told NOT to eat of the Two Trees God forbid them to eat of. They did. All peoples on earth descended through them. Jesus's bloodline came through their child, Seth.

It is interesting and revealing to read the genealogy of Jesus. Throughout time, God directed the bloodline of Jesus. Then in Matthew, Mary agrees to become the mother of Jesus. He sets aside his deity to become a human child. Why? Because EARTH was created for humans ONLY.

Jesus came to Take Back authority that Satan stole from Adam. The grief God would suffer was demonstrated when Abraham raised his sword to slay his own son, Isaac.

On the DAY Jesus hung on the Cross between Heaven and Earth, and died for the sins of All Mankind; the Father had to turn His head. Jesus died. He secured SALVATION for those who would accept it. It is a gift to all who will receive it and live it. What did He give us? He took away authority from Satan_and gave it to believers in Jesus for the gift of salvation.

We become Jesus's Body on earth NOW. Our hands to bless, our feet to carry the Good News to people that salvation is available. We have to confess our sins and receive the gift of salvation. Paid for with Jesus's Blood; poured out on the Cross. Revealed to the World when He was resurrected from the grave. Seen by hundreds of people in Jerusalem; and his disciples.

On Pentecost (50 days later), he sent the Holy Spirit to baptize disciples and believers in the Upper Room.

We have to receive the Holy Spirit too. ( John 3)

Read of what the Holy Spirit enables us to do, in the Name of Jesus.

Jesus said to all, "Follow Me."

Let your prayer life grow big on what Jesus taught.
  • Growing Up Our Faith every Day__mishael - In Reply on Psalms 91 - 3 years ago
Faithfully open up the Bible daily and obey Gods will for us. It is the Word of God that washes us of worldly attitudes and acts. Jesus called to His disciples to, FOLLOW ME. That's what we are to do.

The New Testament should be our daily focus. That is what helps us to follow in Jesus's footsteps. We all are aware when we commit sins against His known will for our lives as Christ followers. You won't feel like it, but just repent in prayer, leave it at the cross. It's a daily cleansing. A lifestyle of prayer will keep us on the right path, because we are conscious of our good deeds and the "not Like Christ" deeds. Walk in forgiveness. Bring glory to Jesus Name.

We can ask God for help when warfare against our Christian walk, is bombarded daily by satans agents. I ask for angelic protection when I need help. God has given us everything we need to walk like Jesus did. We just have to learn what that means, and then use that knowledge in our daily lives.

If we get to thinking we don't have to pray, because we did in the past; that's not scriptural. Our lives are measured one day at a time. So "thankful prayers" are to remind us we are blessed coming in, and blessed going out. Give Glory to God, because Jesus did. He's worthy to receive glory, honor and praise. We're going to be doing it in heaven_ so start now. :)

It's not a continual drag to give praises to God for the good things we experience. We see the angels of heaven praising God in the Bible.

Society and Media compete to pollute our thinking. To believe Evil is Good, and that God is dead. That Jesus is just a person in a Bible storybook. None is really real.

We resist those thoughts in the Name of Jesus. We praise the day Jesus arose from the grave!! He made it possible for US TO FOLLOW HIM TO HEAVEN TOO.

Help your faith grow bigger, reading the Bible every day at lunch. Eat your food; remember your born again spirit needs food too__the Bible. Grow it up to huge Faith.

If you know Job, then you will know what to expect when it comes to the supreme power or authority Of God.

If you have experianced the loss of a family, in some of us the imprisonment of the innocent, then you may only begin to know what loss is and why it is!

Satan who comes before God and accuses us and our faith, is determined not only to desroy us , creating in his own mind what power he thinks he has.

In effect He destroys himself going against the very reality of who God is in the face of Jesus Christ!

Not our beloved Mary, Only the Son who died for the sins of the world!

    Only Jesus can forgive Sin!

Job knew these things, Job knew the promises of God! It was and is because of His Faith that the Lord restored Him sevenfold! Wait and see, this will happen to those who have such hope!

It has happened even so , unto me! Watch,I say WATCH!

    Repent and be baptized

Romans 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. There are a lot of promises to the believer in the Bible as well as to the Jews concerning the city of Jerusalem. The Jews had a hard time grasping that anything could ever happen to that city. What they missed was those promises were based on them responding properly to God's grace toward them. God gives us all the tools for that not to happen. The man that owed the ten thousand talents was saved by grace, but he ended up falling from grace because of his response to it.

  • Learn How To Fight the Devil and Be Strong in Faith - In Reply on Psalms 103 - 3 years ago
Everything negative that results in unbelief in what Scripture, is at WAR with your mind and faith in God. If Satan is going to always attack our faith in God.

You need to understand what Jesus did after Adam and Eve sinned. They lost their dominion and authority to exercise it, to Satan.

Jesus would retrieve it in the future. He set aside his power, to be born as a Human. EARTH WAS MADE FOR HUMANS. Only a human could redeem it. Satan did not know what God was doing. When Jesus was anointed in Luke 4:18-19, His ministry began. He had all of His Powers returned to Him. He healed people, cast out demons. He had all AUTHORITY and POWER to do miracles. Satan was stripped.

Jesus IMPARTED THAT AUTHORITY into BELIEVERS only. His followers who received His Baptism of the Holy Spirit ( John 3), have the authority of Jesus to do the same things Jesus did: heal, bind and cast out devils/demons; cleanse the afflicted, raise the dead (spiritually). Concentrate on what Jesus did and imparted into His FOLLOWERS. Our FAITH IN JESUS is our strength to maintain our peace and healing.

Satan attacks our faith. HE IS NOT HUMAN. He has no authority to attack believers. But he still tries. He wants DOUBT to threaten and SHAKE OUR FAITH IN JESUS. If you let DOUBT enter your mind, it brings in other spirits to destroy your faith.

Our faith is precious to God. Turn back to when your faith was new & strong. Stand on Gods WORD. As Jesus taught, BIND THE ENEMIES and CAST THEM INTO OUTER DARKNESS.

Kick out DOUBT. Stand on Scriptures. Ephesians 6: scriptures are your SWORD. Enemies of your Faith are INVISIBLE. Perceive their Fruits: doubt, sickness, perversion, destroyer of faith. Ask Holy Spirit to give you the names. Only Bible will feed your faith. TV will erode it. Google Spiritual Warfare to learn how to fight back

Jesus sits at the right Hand of God, interceding for us. He wants us to prevail and have what we pray for.

Pray at all times. Be strong.

Heaven existed before God began creating. Everything wonderful and beautiful; mysterious and plain, came out of God. He is the Great God of all wonders!

How cannot we worship and love the God who made all we know? Our souls came from Him. When we give ourselves fully to Him, He comes and makes his abode within our hearts, and abodes with us.

We are completely conscious that he's in our heart, mind and soul. The Creator of all that we know of. Merciful and Kind.

He is Holy. Our souls know this, but sometimes the fleshly, earthy part of us can rebel against true reality, that humans are not gods. We were born to be the receivers of the love He desires to give to us.

We cannot be gods ourselves apart from God. This is what Satan tried to do. his future is completely recorded in the Bible.

God exists inside of Time, and outside of Time.

He knows you and desires that you will choose to live with Him in Heaven. We will see Him every day.

After all the end times wars are fought between nations_it will be finished. 2 Peter 3, teaches that Earth will be burned up. All of man's scars upon it will be burned. God will re-create it again. Those who chose Jesus to save their souls, will return to the New Creation.

What will be different is that Satan the Destroyer will be chained up in hell 1000 years. He will be let out to tempt the people who who survived the horrors of the Tribulation (physically), and called on God to save them. They will still be human. In Heaven they will have that 1000 years to choose Jesus as Savior and Lord. Satan will try to recruit them to fight against God, one more time. It's a short period of time.

At the end of that war in heaven, Satan and those who fought With him, will be judged. Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire eternally. That's his final END. He will never escape again.

Choose Jesus NOW. Everything I wrote is scripture in the Bible. I saw Jesus at my salvation in a vision. HE IS ALIVE!!

    Hello Richard.

Some thoughts about the rapture of the saints.

The verse you mentioned in Thess states that christians will not go through God's wrath, that is God's anger and judgement. And this is logical. How could the opposite ever be possible anyway? God's children go through God's wrath? Face God's judgement? For what? Aren't we free and sanctified through Jesus' Blood and action of the Holy Spirit?

What many christians do not realize (in my belief) is that rhe great tribulation is not just any tribulation. It is a tribulation caused by God's wrath. God is angry with the sin in people's life which in the last days will exceed His patience and His border line and He will decide to bring an end to this world and bring all that is written in Rev to the world. He will also let satan literally rule on the sinful world since it is what people want. But God's wrath can not be send to the world as long as His grace is still in existence. So first His grace has to be drawn away (with the rapture of the saints) and then His wrath will be revealed. It is exactly how it was in Noah's and Lot's time. First His people were drawn out and then His wrath was revealed. Noah and Lot didn't go through all those. They were drawn away by God.

Finally lets remember Lot's wife. Those christians who have the sinful world in their hearts will not escape the distruction.

Hi Chrys, that is a good question and one I have mulled over. I don't claim to be any authority on the subject, but happy to share thoughts.

Jesus said if you pray in faith to move mountains you can. I don't know if that's literal or figurative. But I believe when we pray, I believe that we can pray in faith, and the answer may be no. Jesus even prayed to the Father to 'let this cup pass from me' to avoid the gruesome murder He was about to receive in order to pay for you and my sins. Matthew 26:39. Considering the outcome I speculate that the answer from God the Father to that prayer was 'no'. And I have no doubt that Jesus prayed in faith. So, my thinking is that if even Jesus can have prayer requests not fulfilled, then its likely that I won't get everything I want either.

So, I don't think God is a magic genie to give us wishes. Instead I think we exist for God's pleasure.

More evidence seems to support this, which is other characters in the Bible who had faith and prayed but still had disabilities, hardships. Like Paul had a thorn in the flesh, probably a physical disability. Moses had a speech impediment of some kind and felt insecure about leading the Israelites. God used them all anyway. Remember the verse of Paul saying God's strength is made perfect in our weakness? 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.

We aren't promised health, wealth, and for perfect lives here. Those who teach prosperity stuff aren't preaching out of the Bible I'm reading. We're promised challenges, hardships, persecution. There are plenty of verses supporting this. Plus this life is extremely short and we don't take anything with us. We won't have these disabilities in the afterlife.

I'm sorry to hear about your ailment. If its prostate cancer proton therapy actually works.I believe we should continue praying in faith and trusting God for whatever outcome He decides or allows. I also believe more people praying helps. Matthew 18:19-20. God bless.

Hello S. Jackson. Having never been in the medical science field, I can't comment on the properties of cannabis, its capacity to relieve pain, or its after effects & dependency.

Though looking at the various Scriptures that supposedly indicate that cannabis is the plant being referred to, I have to conclude that that type of interpretation is made when one is desperately seeking an indication or confirmation that justifies their belief, & also in this case, its use.

In each instance of the word, the Hebrew is 'qaneh' (stalk, reed, cane) and if 'fragrance is added to it, then the word, 'bosem' is given, referring to 'spice, fragrance, sweet perfume'. No further information is given to us in the Bible on what sort of plant this could be; many have tried to guess, but come up empty. The best one that fits the bill, & by no means with any certainty, would be something like a lemon-grass, where it is reed-like, aromatic, with a multiple of uses. As you know, the Thais, Vietnamese, & others use this plant in their food & it also gives fragrance to tea, soaps & cosmetics. And Webmd indicates it helps to relieve symptoms of pain & swelling, reduce fever, assist with levels of blood sugar & cholesterol, etc. Remarkable plant.

So, maybe putting together, 'qaneh & bosem', can roughly give the word 'cannabis', but when looking at the Hebrew, the meaning shouldn't lead one to cannabis or any particular plant, simply because we have no more details about it or find any specific plant in today's botanical range resembling it.

does God heal or not? i broke my arm not too long ago, and he healed my arm. if someone has surgery for appendix, chances are pretty good that he will recover.....gallbladder surgery etc. those things will heal, but not your cancer or your asthma or your blindness. i do not understand this, and it is creating problems in my faith.

what are promises of healing for? people say, oh he will be healed in the next life....well i hope so! we don't need the promises for the next life now do we? healing in Heaven is pretty much a given. and if the healing promises are not meant to work in this life then what about the others? are they for the next life too?

i want someone to tell me, are we to look to God for healing? or not waste our time? i will tell you, He has saved my life more times than i can tell you in many different ways. but then i was not asking. bc they just happened and had happy endings, but now i am asking him, for this is serious (well many of the others were as well) and suddenly

i don't trust that he will save me this time

    Continued from previous.

What should be asked and a great concern is what should salvation look like in a believer because many shall be deceived.

First of all shall you continue in sin?

    Paul answers that here in

    Romans 6:1-4.

We have been REGENERATED, REBORN, Given a new heart and ready to present Christ work through us. Titus 3:4-6.

We have eternal life now that can bare fruit such as faith ect...

This is what James is saying in James 2:17-18.

What James is saying is he's going to show that this gift is in him by his works. You see a Christian is saved UNTO good works. Ephesians 2:10.

When you are saved, you are baptized into Christ. It is he that works in you. Philippians 2:13.

    Also;

Philippians 1:6. Being confident of this very thing, THAT HE WHICH HATH BEGUN A GOOD WORK IN YOU WILL PERFORM IT UNTIL THE DAY OF JESUS CHRIST:

If you can loose your salvation all these scriptures means nothing.

    Here's another scripture often used.

John 14:15. "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Well look at the next verse.

Vs 16. "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, THAT HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOR EVER; This Love is a fruit, so who is causing you to Love Christ? CHRIST SPIRIT, The HG.

Most people say you can loose your salvation also believes you can earn salvation which you can't do. And if they hold to that it's sad to say but the scripture says they have fallen from Grace. Galatians 5:4.

I believe this means comes up short.

Now if you come up short you will hear this. "And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23.

I never knew you can never be told to a believer because of this verse. "My sheep hear my voice,.... AND I KNOW THEM,.... and they follow me: John 10:27.

Now if a person have habitual sin in their life, Chances are you're not saved. And you can't loose what you don't have.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

A (supposed) pastor on here quoted several scriptures which he professed use the word kanabus (cannabis) Genesis, Jeremiah & others. I believe he was quoting from the Hebrew Bible, but none the less he is convinced that Cannabis was used by the very long lived Bible men; Moses, Noah and others presumably because of their use of Cannabis for health issues.

Is there any truth to this?

He stated his wife's severe pain was virtually eliminated after regular use of Cannabis.

In light of innumerable stores opening in the past few years in the USA that sell Cannabis oil what is the general consensus among clergy about Cannabis heading powers?
  • Richard H Priday - In Reply - 3 years ago
I would assent to the first commentary; with the exception perhaps of whether we are worthy of the Rapture when He comes. That is something we are told in Luke to pray earnestly for to be WORTHY to escape all that tis to come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man. Something which if our garments aren't white ( Eph. 5:27); then we may have to be martyred in the Tribulation to make our garments white ( Rev. 3:4 and Rev. 6:9-11).

This concept may seem to contradict other verses such as the one which states that we are not appointed to wrath in 1 Thess. 5:9 and I believe in Romans. The source of contention is what constitutes wrath; as certainly even the 1st seal opened by Christ Himself indicates God's judgment; although the unrestrained wrath isn't until the bowl judgments; or at least the 2nd half of the Tribulation. At the very least; however we need to consider Rev. 3:11 where we are admonished not to lose our reward; immediately following the verse stating those who would be kept from the hour of trial over the WHOLE earth; those from the Philadelphia church.

We also should heed to Christ stating that He would come on a day we don't expect. Clearly the time of the Tribulation can be marked on a timetable even specific lengths of judgments; but beforehand when people are living as though normal such as in the days of Noah ( Matt. 24:37) we need to be alert. All the events of today are foreshadowing what is the true birth pangs of the beeginning of the Tribulation with sword; famine and pestilence. For now; the gates of hell will not prevail against the church ( Matt. 16:18); but the saints will be overcome in the Tribulation ( Rev. 13:7 also see Daniel).

Whether we go through the fire at the Bema seat and or the Tribulation if not staying awake it pays to allow Him to chastise us now if needed. Be blessed (Renee means born again as you may know)

Certainly is interesting in light of Psalm 91 that you are reading; those are blessed assurances.
