Hi Sarah. The Jewish Temple was destroyed twice. The first time, after King Solomon built it, it was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon around 586 BC. And the second Temple was built by the returning Jewish exiles from Babylon (under the edict of Cyrus King of Persia). This Temple was further expanded (built upon) and refurbished by Herod during Jesus' earthly days, but this was later destroyed by the Roman armies led by Titus, in 70 AD.

There was no third temple after this; instead the creation of the Jewish synagogue & its building was oriented towards the previous temple site. Instead of sacrifices offered, prayer was offered instead, especially prayer accompanied with weeping, for a third temple (especially by the Orthodox Jews).

Dear "Fannie Cross-Sullivan", in peace. We learn it because we must have hope. Our hope is that Jesus Christ, who conquered death, we will also go there. Where Jesus are. We shall not see death.

If you imagine a person who is sick, for example, and is about to die. As we say here on earth. This person belive in Jesus Christ and has repented from a destructive life, to faith in Jesus Christ. If Iinow immediately give you a different picture of death, but then without God. Can you see the difference here? We humans are a detriment to ourselves, we have been from the very beginning. Now it has become worse.

So God the Father Himself had to change everything when He make Heaven and earth, because of man. Remember He repented of it. Genesis 6:6

The day you are referring to will be a terrible day, everyone should know what a fire can do.

This is how it is that we believe in God the Father and in His Son Jesus Christ, then our life will be filled with hope for Life itself. We shall live even if we lay down our mortal body. Matthew 24:35 The best example is found in John 20:1-10 and the story of Lazarus when Jesus raises Him from the dead after he had lain dead for several days. John 11

The day that will come when the firmament and the mountains will crumble. When God will put everything in order again, this time there will be no regrets, but Perfection. That is what Christ Jesus did. But as we know, everything takes time.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Jesus does not wish us harm, He loved us with divine love. believe in Him for your own sake. Fear is cast out when you are with Jesus Christ. Only love will keep you alive that day. God's Word and faith in Jesus. Hebrew 4:12-13 But we stick to Jesus. He fills us with peace, so that we all survive the day. I belive that from the bottom of my heart.

Hope this help u, remember to always go to Jesus if u have a problem, He will sort everything out for u in His time, Amen. Jesus loves u i love u in Christ

I thank you for your comment. You seem very learned and holy. If you would be so kind as to direct me to the where in Ezekiel it mentions the bitterness in his belly as the bitterness in John's belly, I would me most appreciative.

I humbly disagree but I'm not above correction and reproof. I'd like to offer rebuttal on these points:

    1. Rev 10:11, John is told in no uncertain terms that he will be returning to prophesize ... before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

This is almost the exact same language as Rev 17:15 ... The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. Coincidence? Nothing in the Bible happens by coincidence.

    2. Is there somewhere in the Bible that specifically states that John is one of the 7,000? If you cannot cite a Biblical reference, then I suspect your belief is speculative. Conversely, I can cite a reference that John will prophesize in the "Great City". Do we just disregard a factual statement?

    3. While I agree with you that we can only physically die once, in truth, we do not know how John died.

    4. The angel tells John that he must prophesize again. What do you think the angel meant when he said "again"? To me, this means that John was mortal when he wrote Revelation, and he'll be mortal again when he prophesizes the second time. Then, both John and Elijah will physically die.

    5. Our disagreement lies not with whether he will return but when. I offer to you that the greatest prophet next to Jesus, our Savior, the person who wrote Revelation, will return to see it through. If you think about it, it kinda makes sense.

I eagerly await your response as I value knowledge and wisdom. Equally important is that I hope you do not take offense at what I've written. It wasn't meant that way. Thank you for your understanding Luke. God Bless.

I feel that I should write something here. In spite how we may perceive your comment DWL, you've been on this Site long enough for me to believe that your comment was not to belittle Christ in any way but to state how some unbelievers might perceive this Divine Voice from Heaven. Just thought to throw that in - my view at least.

Fourty seven years ago I had an experience with well craft, UFO's that went on all night. Always suspected it was good vs evil. When I came across Ezekiel one it was very emotional. He explained them very well especially for the time and language. I have come to the conclusion if you believe the Bible and I do. You believe in UFO's and aliens from far away places. God Bless

    Hi DWL.

When we think of any father and son relationship we only can relate to it as fleshly beings. And we're bound by certain laws such as physics, laws of reproduction "Male and female " ect..

But God being a spirit and having no locality and no laws of any sort, who can understand?!! We only can take what the scripture says directly, God with us. Mathew 1:23.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

And Paul said who are thou Lord? "Only knowing of the Father" Notice the response.

Acts 9:4-5. And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

And he said, WHO ART THOU, LORD?.. "And the Lord said,".. I AM JESUS whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

    WHO art thou Lord?

We know Paul wouldn't be intended to ask Jesus who art thou. His intentions was to address the Father. Jesus answered him according to that.. I AM JESUS WHOM THOU PERSECUTEST.

  • Richard H Priday on Revelation 1 - 3 years ago
    Revelation 1 continued

Starting at verse 9 we go back to John; who apparently was writing this to an unknown brother.

He gives his location (Patmos); and the reason why (for the Word of God and the testimony of Christ). It is widely accepted that he was there because of an exile; and there are suggestions that they tried to kill him by boiling in oil (not in the scriptures); and failed.

In any event; we get to the next verse and John reports that it was the "Lord's day" and he heard the sound of a voice as a trumpet. This certainly could signify the type of occurrence when the church is called up in 1 Thessalonians 4:16.

Verses 11 to the end of the chapter once again describe Christ as the Alpha and Omega; and John's mission to write down what he is told and send it to the seven churches; now named. The next verse involves John looking at the source of the voice and at first seeing seven golden candlesticks. Then from verse 13 through 17 we get the description of Christ with a detail of the seven stars in his right hand in verse 16. To say that he was "like the Son of man" in verse 13 perhaps means that it reminded him of what Christ looked at at the Transfiguration or when he was on earth. In any case; even though John had seen Him transformed; the full glory still made him fall as though dead (v. 17). Jesus reassured him not to fear and that He was dead and now alive; and that He had the keys to death and hell. (v. 18). He explains what will be of what are and shall be (i.e. chapter 2 and 3 then the rest of the book.) The last verse explains the stars as angels (or messengers meaning pastors); as well as the candlesticks which ARE the 7 churches. We are reminded of the fear of God and Christ as well as the fact that it is HIS church (all true ones); and His body of believers; and His ownership and authority over all things. May we all have proper reverence for the Lord.

Luke, I read the context before and after Romans 11:4. Romans is written by Paul, but he is referencing God. The 7000 is referring to Jews. To this day, how many Jews accepted Yeshua as their Messiah? I seen a video by a Gentile street preacher, who made the mistake of preaching Jesus the Christ in Jerusalem. Immediately, there was a violent reaction by a Jew. He kept spitting and yelling at the street preacher.

    Exodus, Ch.29

    continued...

From then on, two yearling labs were to offered everyday, one in the morning an done at twilight. A tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with one fourth of a hin (liquid measure) of pressed oil, and one fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering for each lamb offered. This is burned. This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout their generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD. Jesus' sacrifice is a once and for all (everybody and for eternity), therefore a perpetual offering in its effects.

YHWH says after these things are completed He will meet with the Israelites and He will sanctify the whole tabernacle by His Glory ( the tabernacle of meeting, the altar, and the priests) Jesus is the Glory of the Father before men. He sanctifies those who believe in Him and what He did to save us. He said He will dwell among the Israelites and be their God. And the people will know that He is YHWH who brought them out of Egypt. He is I AM, the LORD their God. Jesus said that those who believe in Him will have eternal life and that eternal life is knowing the Father and the Son and that the Holy Spirit will indwell believers. This is our God, Father, Son, and Spirit. Not only are each of us a tabernacle for God to indwell, but the whole body of Christ is unified to Jesus and the Holy Spirit dwells in the church, a building fitted together in unity.

    Exodus 29

    continued.

He gave His all for us and this pleased the Father.

Aaron and his sons put their hands on the second ram and it was slaughtered. Some of the blood was used to place on the tip of the right ear, thumb, and toe of Aaron and his sons. The remainder of the blood was sprinkled around the altar and upon the garments of Aaron and his sons. Again the fat of the ram, its tail, kidneys, caul, and right thigh are used to be burned, along with one loaf of bread, one cake, and one wafer. First, these things are raised up above by Aaron and his sons, presented to YHWH (Jesus was raised up on the cross) as a wave offering and then burned on the altar.

Then the priests are to take the breast and the other thigh portion of the ram and offer it up as a wave offering (peace offering) but not burn it. This portion was to be eaten by the priests after being boiled along with the remaining bread, eaten by the door of the tabernacle of meeting (not inside the tabernacle). In this way the priest consume that which the atonement was made and in doing so they will be consecrated (ordained) and sanctified (set apart) for service for YHWH.

Only priests are to consume this portion of the atoning sacrifice. No outsider is to do this, because both the priests and the offering are holy. Jesus is both the sin offering for atonement and the High Priest. He alone is worthy of being offered and He alone is owed all of the joy, honor, and satisfaction of fulfilling God's requirement for the remission of sin. It is between YHWH and the priests, just like the decision and carrying out of the atonement was only within the Godhead with not participation from sinful man who was separated from God, His enemy, and dead in sin (unable to do anything to counsel or assist in this work).

This consecration was to take seven days with a bull offered every day as a sin offering of atonement for the altar and sanctify it. Whatever touches the altar must be holy. Jesus is the only Holy One..

I agree with U Rose , In verse 31 and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back (to the things behind).

32 Remember Lot's wife, she looked back.

33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose it shall preserve it alive. ( this is when God's elect makes a stand against the anti-christ)

34 I tell you, in that (night) there shall be two persons upon one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. ( The one doing the taking "at night" is the anti-christ) key word is "night" what comes before day? the night, one shall be taken by the anti-christ, the other shall remain,,, left behind is false teaching by many,,,, be the one left behind.

35 Two women shall be grinding to the same end; the one shall be taken, and the other left." ( One will be taken in the deception by the anti-christ, the other left behind)

36 Two men shall be in the field; (field being The World) the one shall be taken, and the other left. (Harkening diligently unto the voice of our Lord God) The Rapture is a Soul Hunt!

    Exodus Ch. 29

In this chapter directions are given for the consecration of the priests for their services to YHWH in the tabernacle.

It seems that it was not enough that the priests were properly dressed for the service, but there needed to be blood sacrifice and the priests sprinkled with the blood while they were wearing their priestly garments. Makes me think of Jesus' robe dipped in blood in Revelation.

The bread was to be unleavened to signify sinlessness, as Jesus is, our Bread of Heaven.

The priests were to be consecrated-ordained-into the priesthood. This is a special ceremony to initiate the priesthood. It was to last for seven days.

Aaron laid his hands on the heard of the bull, then the bull was slaughtered and offered to YHWH, the blood of which is applied to the horns of the altar of sacrifice with the finger of the priest and pour the rest of the blood next to the altar. There must have been some kind of vessel to collect the blood at the base of the altar.

The process of offering the bull was that the fat, caul, and kidneys are to be burned on the altar of sacrifice unto the LORD. The flesh and skin of the bull was to be burned outside of the camp as this represented that the bull took the sins of the priest and people off of the humans and onto the bull. So, the flesh, like our sinful nature, could not enter the tabernacle, but must be burned away outside of the camp, (removed from our being by the sacrifice of Jesus), since it is a sin offering. Jesus was sacrificed outside of the city wall, our sin offering.

The rams were to be spotless, (Jesus was completely sinless). Aaron again placed his hands upon the ram's head, slaughter it, collect the blood, and sprinkle all of the blood around the altar. Then cut the ram into pieces, wash the legs and entrails. Then all of the pieces of this ram were put on the altar to be burned unto YHWH (called a burnt offering) and the aroma was a sweet smell to YHWH. Jesus' whole Person was offered....

Are you saying of all the generations of all the people since Biblical time, only 7000 are saved? Nothing in Acts 2 says anything about 7000. I'm thinking this number refers to the Jews.

Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Once the 144,000 are sealed with the seal of God, the 5th trump sounds, Satan's fallen angels are here.

God's very elect are the 7,000 from all races, Acts 2

Romans 11:4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

What did God tell Satan & his angels, Touch not My Elect, that have the seal of God in their forehead

Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them (Satan & his angels) that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

Those who have the seal of God(Sealed)during the Hour of Temptation will not be touched by this wrath, which IS the wrath of God.

All who are alive and remain go through the tribulation, question is DO YOU HAVE THE SEAL???

When you Back up to 2 Corinthians 6:15 where God asks you what part is there to the believer with an unbeliever ?

It should explain His promise to you, and how He will be your God and ye His people, and how to receive this promise, and it's not by the building with the temple of idols.

He goes on to say come out come out of the midst of them(unbelievers), and be ye separate.

And will be for a Father to you, and ye shall be to Him for sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all pollution of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

We should all know this promise, and remind Him of it,,, He wants us to.

    Naz,

    (Part 2)

I think that's the most startling thing that a believer can find out, and especially with the way people present salvation today, they say "Hey, do you want to go to heaven and have your sins forgiven? Just pray this prayer." And no one tells them that if indeed you are serious, and if indeed you really did get saved, that God's Spirit has come to dwell in you and you've been set apart for Him. You're not your own anymore!

People aren't told that. They are not told that you've been set apart, and that your biggest struggle is going to be thinking that you can go back to living and approaching life like you did before you were saved. No, you've been set apart for Christ. Love not the world, neither the things in the world. Be separate and come out from among them. Be not unequally yoked together.

And so we are to cleanse ourselves and do this in the perfecting of sanctification, maturing in the lifestyle of sanctification, drawing closer to Christ. And notice the basis for this. It says in the fear of God. That's a healthy reverence for God. And just in our own human, we naturally do not fear God. And if we do respect Him, we fear people more than we do God.

Sometimes we know that we are disobeying God, but we also know that He's a gracious God and He will forgive us, and people won't. So, we compromise our walk with Christ and then we ask God for forgiveness because we know He will forgive.

    I hope this helps you!
  • Jesse - In Reply on 2 Corinthians 7 - 3 years ago
    Hello Naz Williams,

    (part 1)

Paul starts off 2 Corinthians by saying "having therefore these promises." What promises? These are promises at the end of Chapter 6. We see in Leviticus 26:12, Isaiah 52:11, and 2 Samuel 7:14, that the promise that God said I will come and I will dwell in you, and I will be your Father, and you will be my children. I will be your God and you will be my people.

Having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit.

Now these are not technical terms (flesh and spirit). He's talking about realm. Don't pollute by getting involved in the spiritual forces of darkness. There's a spiritual influence over you, and don't get involved in those physical human fleshly things that war against the things of Christ. Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness, that is, contamination of flesh and spirit.

Secondly: perfecting holiness in the fear of God. The word holiness is the word sanctification. He says you've been sanctified. You've been set apart for Christ. And we keep trying in the human social to cross the line and be socially joined and get our social needs met.

But at the same time, Paul is saying that you cannot compromise your walk with the Lord by getting involved in situations and with people that are going to influence your relationship with Christ and affect your effectiveness in your walk with Christ.

So, he says the key here is you've been set apart. God has set you apart. His promise is that He's going to be with you and dwell with you. And He is going to be your God and you are going to be His people. Therefore, perfect, (mature) the sanctification. We are sanctified the very moment that God's Spirit comes into our spirit. In 1 Thessalonians, Paul told the Christians in Thessalonica to walk in your sanctification.
