But as time passed by, one of them was moved by Jesus' behavior on the cross and changed his mind. God's provision allowed for four gospels to be written, so that one complements the others and we have the full story..GBU

Yeah, this is where you show them that Paul was fore ordained to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles, which were must of His Epistles.

Who is salvation for? What scriptures?

God's people needed to humble themselves and change their ways to what was acceptable to Him. Jehovah God would then pour out his blessing on his people and they would be restored to favor.

16 To reveal His Son in me, in order that I might preach Him among the Gentiles ; immediately I conferred not with any human being:

Paul is stating how God chose(set apart)him before he was born, and called him unto grace to reveal Jesus in Him/Paul to preach salvation among the Gentiles.

God chose Paul before he was born to teach the Son of GOD/GOD to the gentiles, that person is wrong,,,

All the Apostles/prophets were chosen before the their mothers womb,,,, they are the set aside one's

I appreciate your response as well, but if you read both passages they differ in statements.

1 passage says both mocked or ridiculed him the other states only 1 mocked him.

I personally think gambling is fine and not a sin as long as it does not come between you and God and is not a stronghold, is not an addiction or a love, and is not through "vanity." Proverbs 13:11. Strong's says vanity is something transitory or unsatisfactory. Others translate this into dishonesty or fraud. I'm currently not thinking this applies to wagering money, but perhaps tax collecting, crooked attorneys, ponzi schemes, surprise fees, billing department dishonesty, or perhaps other activities that are illegal and deceive and harm people.

My personal view on this is that all of life involves risk and not just with money, but with our time, relationships, activities, work, etc. Naturally we try to mitigate risk and seize opportunities. Investing is Biblical, but involves risk, such as the stock market. Buying insurance is betting against yourself, so that's gambling too. So does trying a new restaurant or accepting a new job or moving. So, in my current understanding I don't believe gambling is a sin, but I am open to anyone's Bible verses to support another view and specifically what someone thinks wealth through vanity means. About Nicolaitans one can find s lot of information on the internet. Many christian historians write about them but it seems they don't always agree with one another. It seems it was a mixture of a mystic philosophy and christianity probably the same as gnosticism. It probably had to do with allowing fornication in the church or something like that. It must have been something really terrible so Jesus said He hates their works. Like today's many so called christian cults that use Jesus name to propagate evil practices. That shows that if we do not guard our faith many weird things may come in.

It will probably have a different meaning to whoever is reading it. It is a book about wisdom and how to live wisely, the family, life, death, prayer, pride, knowledge, trust, discipline, maybe even stumping your toe, I could go on. If you have not read it, you need to. Many times, if we are struggling with something in our life the Holy Spirit can highlight words that will help, it is like the words stand up out of the page. You can see yourself in it, you can see God in it, you can see Jesus in it, and you can see many answers, directions, conformations, and most things we deal with in our life.

Just a short view may others add to it.

I don't know how far you were allowed to walk on the sabbath day. People had to feed and water their animals every day, including the sabbath, they prepared their meals, which meant possibly carrying water from the well for them and the livestock.

The Mt. of Olives is about a half mile from Jerusalem, so I would suppose you could travel about a half of a mile on the sabbath.

A sabbath days journey.

When ya study about the Trinity the Godhead,.. Think about Abraham Issac and Jacob....3 distinct beings but the 1 Singular Father of Israel....And they were Father Son and Granson....Without this Father Son and Granson scenario there cd not have been a Nation of Israel....That became as the sands of the seas in multitude....And that great Promise of multiplication was only made to these 3 men....And outta of the heavenly Kingdom will come a Sower of the good seed the words of God....The contents of the book that he wrote with his own blood....The words of life...Thus an ISRAEL OF God that is gonna be as the Stars of heaven in multitude....Genises 22:17... I will multiply thy seed as the stars of Heaven and God swore by his very self....Thats y Jesus is saying to whom the Word came ( his Seed ) it made them Gods....And the scriptures cannot be broken.

1 Timothy 6:16 Who (Christ) ONLY hath immortality, dwelling in he light ...

Man WILL NOT believe that the LIFE IN US IS CHRIST, we are just the BODY.

The distance was 2000 cubits about 2/3 of a mile. I believe they came up with this distance from Joshua 3:4. I do not know when it started by the time of Jesus, they had many traditions they held rather than the commandments of God that Jesus busted them on. Matt. 15:1-7 also in Mark 7.

I love the old testament . I read it as much as I do the new . It's all one as far as I'm concerned . It's amazing to read the new testament and be able to recognise how much of the old is being spoken about and referenced by Jesus and his disciples and apostles . One big joy to me .

Thank you. In the same chapter 1 of Acts it says that Mount of Olives is a Sabbath Day Journey from Jerusalem. If you care to' comment on how far away is Mount of Olives from Jerusalem. We know some Israelite s were into a great deal of pedantic confab over what violated the Sabbath. This reached beyond what had anything to do with right thinking on keeping the Sabbath. I suspect there are commentaries that explain how the Sabbath Day Distance was arrived. Comment only if you want to. Thanks for your answer on my question.
