Once we except the the death ,burial, resurrection of Jesus ask him to save us and get baptized . We are born again right? AM I a son or daughter of God now here on earth? Or do I have to be ressurected from the dead to be a son or daughter?

Revelation 9: Fifth and sixth woes

We sink perhaps into what is the most horrible part of the Tribulation here as the most people numerically likely die (1/3 listed in verse 18); and although there is complete destruction at Armageddon; and thereabouts with the scope of the earthquake and such along with the horror of ALL sea life dying; it will be relatively brief and Christ comes at last immediately after! It would seem that according to Revelation 11 the second woe (or sixth seal) is passed when the two Prophets are killed and then translated. This would protect them from the judgments here.

The fifth trumpet involves an angel who some argue couldn't be Satan who fights with Michael and is cast out near this time because he couldn't be trusted with such a key. Nonetheless; there isn't any clear indication who if anyone forcefully puts these demons back in the abyss after the 5 month period given to them. Whatever the case; these clearly are demons. After 5 months of suffering; people will be well prepared to worship the Beast; especially if he claims and perhaps has authority to END this suffering; as well as apparently be resurrected from the dead.

The sixth trumpet; of course involves angels as well (v. 14-15); some would say it symbolizes something else such as modern weaponry; but since God Himself brings it to pass we should take it at face value. One THIRD of all people die; but note verse 20-21 the rest who survived STILL didn't repent of their sins. Man at this point will have gone from hiding from Christ to more and more sin; and by the vials will be fighting against Christ at His return.

In all this; God's ways are mysterious. Why does he drag this out so long; and not just destroy these rebels before this point? And why do men go on KNOWING THE END RESULT since they are ALREADY aware by the sixth seal of God and Christ at the judgment seat?

No wonder Daniel got sick for 3 weeks considering these things. LORD give us strength also.

    Luke,

How our Savior comforted us with this passage. He deeply cares for us and will go an bring back the ones who were part of His flock but who wandered away. For those of us with prodigal sons, this bolsters our hope in the return to faith of our children who, having once trusted Jesus, departed from Him.

    Paul,

If this is between you and Giannis, than I understand if you choose not to reply. But I have a few questions, if you don't mind me asking? First, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. Secondly, please know that I will not try and belittle you in any way for your belief in Mormonism. Like you, I also am a seeker of the truth. Just to let you know up front, I spent a few years studying the teachings of Mormonism, and have also compared those teachings with Paul's teachings, and I have found several things that have caused me to question Mormonism.

My first question to you: You say that "no doctrine in the Book of Mormon contradicts the Bible."

I have studied the bible for quite some time now. I also own a Book of Mormon which is heavily highlighted with things that I find contradicting to the bible. I can share those things, but only if you ask me to. (I do not want to offend). I kept it (BOM) in order to be able to share the truth of the bible with these very young men who called themselves elders (Usually anywhere from 16-18 years old). Personally, I do not believe they met the biblical qualifications of an elder.

Question: How much doctrine would you say is in the BOM? And do you believe the BOM is the most correct book ever written, as Joseph Smith claimed?

Question: You say "The Book of Mormon has enhanced my belief in the Bible." My question is how so?

Question: You say that "if something is taught that is not in the Bible, I will dismiss it."

My question is: have you ever had to dismiss any of the teachings of Mormonism? I ask because I find many teachings of Mormonism to be unbiblical, and should be dismissed.

Last question: You mention that "the Book of Mormon/Mormonism isn't another gospel; otherwise, you wouldn't believe it."

The LDS website states "Through Joseph Smith, a prophet of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored in its fulness. My question is how did Joseph Smith fully restore the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Jesus Is The Bread of Life

John 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

The most asked question, Why are we living in this world?
  • Luke - Your Angel - 3 years ago
    Your Angel

Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost

12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.

14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish

Paul. A Mormon will not get a blood transfusion because they believe they

Will get the impurities in there system. The reason I know this is a friend is a Mormon. Also they predicted Christ return twice didn't happen because God's

Word days No man knows and trust me If someone tells me God told them

Something special I,'d seriously question the source!

    Hello Temelt 14

Balaam was a non-Israelite diviner (sorcerer) who was asked by the King of his people to curse the Israelites do that they could be conquered. But God made it so that Balaam spoke blessings upon Israelites rather than evil curses. Balaam, though he spoke blessings instead of curses upon God's people, was still an evil occultic person who was powerful (through the devil) in bringing evil upon others. The king obviously esteemed Balaam to be powerful to weaken his enemies through the curses Balaam could speak over enemies. But his power came from the evil one, not God. His practices were an abomination to God and totally prohibited for any one devoted to God to participate in.

    Hello Paul,

I hope you don't mind me stepping in here, but I would like to add that anything is possible with God except sinning or doing evil. God will never cross that boundary because His essential nature is unable to do so. He is absolutely pure and sinless. He is without shadow or hint of corruption. He is infinitely righteous in all of His ways.

He could destroy all of creation in just one word if His will was to do so. He could have today be the day of Christ's return if His wisdom determined that history is at its end. He could end the lives of all who are unredeemed instantly. But He does not do this due to His mercy and grace towards humanity that He created and redeemed through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is patient and longsuffering, willing that many more will come to believe the Gospel, even today, or tomorrow, or ten years from now. We are to trust in His wisdom and will, knowing He loves every person He creates and desires for each person to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ int the Gospel. He also has empowered the Gospel by the Holy Spirit, to bring conviction of sin, repentance, faith, and regeneration to those who hear it preached. So, let us concentrate on bringing the Gospel to any who will openly hear it, that they may receive the salvation that is only in Jesus Christ.

We may never be able to resolve the seeming contradictions or paradoxes in the Scriptures. But, I believe if we endeavor to read the Scripture to gain knowledge of the saving grace of God throughout history and not to be critical of the Scripture, we will discover such truth that these seeming contradictions will not seem such large matters to us in light of the redeeming work of God in history and in recorded in the words of Scripture.

Blackfoot. Something else that I thought was significant to share with you

Our conscience is literally our habit patterns so as we put on the word

Romans12:2 and renew our minds, putting on the mind of Christ. Our habit

Patterns change from corrupt to profitable to God. As we walk and believe

We change and let God work and then see 2 Corinthians 3:18.

Paul. With God nothing is impossible is true and the context of Hebrews is

In reference to mpeople not God.

In reference to any temptation or provoking remember James 1:13 God can't be

Tempted neither tempts he any man. Satan or the devil or our adversary is

Constantly attacking God people to trip them up and accuse them before the

True God. The anger of the lord many times is shown old testament when

Israel giot into idol worship or a man of God disobeyed an order.
  • Henry - In Reply - 3 years ago
Tremelt14. The worship of Balaam or Baal or bel was basically devil

Or Satan worship I.E. blood sacrifice of child sacrifices or worship of

Immorral sex practices or bestiality or idol worship or sun worship

All which started as far back as Nimrods kingdom and Babylon.

The scientist say, that we are not living in real time? That if you look at yourself in the mirror, that person is already 1 billionth of second old, or past already gone!

This way of thinking, though provocative, will open the eyes of the believer ever wider to the words of God.

A fact given in the holy scriptures.

God, is who God says He is, who without beginning , without end, is Timeless!

I Am Alpha and Omega! Without beginning ,without end!

This scientist, has given you his understanding of time, how it works, while looking in a mirror!

The heavenly many may not grasp. The evolutionist, who judges according to what He see's!

The perfect knowledge of who we are and where we are going, learning and Having a perfect knowledge of time and space is what man has forever contemplated!

However, the man who is led by the spirit , will see if only a glimpse of the power of His glory. The power to sustain and protect those who belong to Him!

This is the hidden wisdom in the word. Every word in scripture is from God Himself! While man thinks himself wise to change it, it is in fact the road less traveled, that leads only to darkness!

Soon, those who think themselves wise will become fools! The patience of God as He waits for repentance!

Do you hear the words of Jesus?

They have eyes, but cannot see! They have ears, but they cannot hear!

The grace found is no longer a mystery unto those who know the truth! A truth that will set you free. now and in eternity!

    Repent and be Baptized
