The emphasis of grace and the grafting in of the Gentiles is all through the old testament in types and allegorically. Even in the articles inside the tabernacle such as "The written commandments, manna, Arons rod that budded, and what overshadowed them was the mercy seat.

The Promises included them also.

Mike Gyver, about the division of the waters during the Creation time, where the Warters were placed above "heaven" is speaking of our water in the sky, which is basically a lot. He had it in a great place of early time. If you read in the Genesis, it says it did not rain, but had due to water the plants. When the flood of Noah's time came, God opened the gates and let the water come back to Earth as the Flood. After this went by, God set in evaporation to gradually send the waters into the atmosphere in the form of clouds. Then is when rain began. It is a gradual pace over the Earth, so there will never be another Flood of the sots in Noah's time. We do have floods dome of the time, on some of the Earth, but not all at once. People cause the floods by turning away from God. Just as with droughts and storms. When people start obeying God in life, He blesses us with good weather.

Thank you I was not aware of this. The queen is the perfect example of benevolence. If America can learn anything, it might consider Her example in the leadership ii needs to move ahead in the future.

ST. MATTHEW 5:7, was the first verse that I learned from the Bible. I was a Pastor's and Pastor's wife, son and Most people learned ST. JOHN 3:16 first, I didn't.

Some questions have no simple answer or specific scripture that clarifies the infinite, eternal God. Any question that speaks of the relationship between God the Father, Jesus the Christ and Holy Spirit cannot be easy. I have a mind, heart and spirit that longs to worship God with all my strength. I believe this is one of the ways that God created us in his image.

In this respect, God has separated us into 3 distinct personalities. Physical, mental and spiritual.

I am not sure why I put that question to the typewriter since we all must ponder the Holy Trinity of God during prayer, reading of the scripture and indeed day to day hearing, seeing, smelling, tasting and feeling his presence.

So soon after her visit with the new p.m.. two days after. I have become so suspicious and sceptical of people . Perhaps , these thoughts I have are from the evil one and not the holy spirit. I also love the Word of God, in Acts 1, the former treatise referring to Luke's gospel, "all Jesus began to do and teach". In vs. 2 after Jesus ascended, He gave commandments through the Holy Spirit. At that time, they were still looking for the Messiah to set up the kingdom and free them from Rome, vs. 6 "Lord wilt thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel".

In vs. 7 and 8, Jesus told them it was not for them to know the times or seasons and after the Holy Spirit came, they would receive power and guidance. They were told they would be witnesses unto the uttermost part of the world, but they were not told when, the Holy Spirit would tell them when and whereas we see throughout the New Testament.

They stayed in Jerusalem, it was not until after Stephen's death by the same council that put Jesus to death, stopped their ears, their rejection of the Messiah was complete. Not until then did the Holy Spirit direct them to preach Jesus to Samaria. It was Philip, not the apostle but the evangelist, one of the 7, Acts 6:5 went into Samaria and was the first to preach Jesus. When the apostles who were still in Jerusalem heard, Peter and John went to see, Acts 8. Acts 9 Paul and Acts 10 Peter's dream.

We see how the Holy Spirit led Peter; Peter even said it was unlawful for a Jew to keep company with one of another nation, but God through the Holy Spirit showed him that God is no respecter of persons. My understanding is at this time the 70-week prophecy given to Daniel that was determined upon Daniel's people and the holy city was fulfilled,

You do not have to reply, I did not intend to create a debate, I just thought you may like to study it. I know many places the 70th week at the end times but what if it has been fulfilled?

The literal aspect of horses as stated here and in other passages allows us to consider whether many advanced weapons are either destroyed (as part of Antichrist's original peace deal); or rendered useless with the fires and possible geomagnetic disturbances and/or God's judgments (such as the beast's kingdom being plunged into darkness at the 5th vial). The descriptions in Ezekiel 38 have been described by some as a certain type of wood that may be used as a sort of composite in advanced weaponry.

It should be noted that the mobility of Asiatic troops and those in Muslim campaigns in mountainous terrain (such as those coming from areas around Turkey such as Ararat and into the mountains of the north from Syria) could certainly be something to consider here. Remember that Israel is said at that time to be a land of "unwalled villages" in Ezekiel 38:11. This verse describes people not suspecting such an invasion; which may be due to their continued retention of advanced weapons; or not searching out those who would attempt to invade with such a primitive method. These animals may not be detected going through narrow mountain passes; or deep gorges and not be taken seriously in a multi pronged campaign especially by multiple nations as indicated. The unwalled villages at the very least probably show the immediately surrounding nations conspicuously absent here; are taken care of in the prophetic Psalm 83. In any event; Israel is captured and has their walls of protection removed (interestly such a proposal occurred recently with the ongoing Middle East peace proposals). It would seem the endless rockets of the Palestinians and their backers would have to be eliminated completely for such a scenario to come to fruition; thus indicating the Gulf nations would have procured a successful and prosperous trade with the nation for some time; again as indicated by the final "Babylon" city that surely would affect Israel.

Rest of Revelation 19

The rest of the book discusses the return of Christ with His saints; and the capture of the Beast; False Prophet and Satan (without stating who places them in their respective places of punishment although the next chapters show an angel has sealed the bottomless pit).

There is a feast prepared for the birds of the air (v. 17-18; v. 21). God has in Isaiah 34:11 and other verses clearly considered the unclean beasts and provided for them richly (despite being unfit for man's consumption). Those who are animal lovers may not appreciate the fact that they will either be present at the wedding feast of the Lamb or themselves be part of the supper of wild beasts. No doubt these creatures will be starving themselves by this time and God isn't going to let a good meal go to waste. We should ponder this; those who are evolutionists and realize that in light of Ecclesiastes 3:19 that unregenerate men are no better than animals as to our fate. The soul of animals may go down into the earth (see verse 21 two verses later); but man is the only creature subject to eternal damnation and suffering as we see again in the same chapter; verse 11 where "eternity is put in their hearts."

The last verse in this chapter; verse 21 shows the rest of man in the battle slain with the sword (see Malachi 4:1; Psalm 2; etal). They will be placed in Sheol; the "holding place" for the damned until their turn for the lake of fire. Undoubtably their involvement in this battle and enticement by demons means that they have taken the mark of the Beast. If for some reason someone is missing arms and or has a head injury and can't take the mark the image will be worshipped which basically amounts to the same punishment.

In God's Providence He shortens the days or no flesh would survive (or be saved); see Matthew 24:22. There are interesting studies as to the mention of horses (verse 18) which also are seen in Ezekiel 38. I prefer to take that literally.

The first few verses describe as chapter 18 did the destruction of the city of Babylon "the great whore" (v. 2). Verse 7 talks about the marriage of the Lamb; with the wedding supper in verse 9. The scene in front of the throne here as well as the timing seem almost identical to what we see in Revelation 5. We need to keep in mind that not everyone will be present wearing the garments of white until the last saint appears in heaven; so this likely shows the Resurrection of all the Tribulation saints along with the church who were raised 7 years before. This brings in mind the parable of the Ten Virgins and associated verses as to the reference both to the Second Coming and Rapture. We need to remember that Israel itself isn't as a nation going to repent until the final destruction on Israel where half of the city is taken in Zechariah 14:2. Just because the Tribulation saints aren't in the dispensation of the church where the Spirit works within the Body as at present; that doesn't exclude the rest of the believers from being members of a corporate Body who all need white garments of righteousness. (Verse 8). All true saints; therefore must bring forth fruit. God may deem martyrdom necessary to procure that; particularly in the days when Christ will be known to all and seen by the world (once again; indicated by the scene in Rev. 6:16-17. John 20:26-29 shows those who have NOT seen are blessed; and the Rapture certainly would be a reward in that sense.

Verse 10 also brings up a theme repeated in Revelation 22:9 where he tries to worship someone other than God (in the other case an angel). This should cause us to take pause to realize that the glorified bodies of the saints will be quite overwhelming.

The rest of the chapter; of course relates to the Second Coming of Christ and the immediate victory He has over the armies of the earth. More on that in the next post.

Explain to me, how the disciples had rowed half way between Tiberius and Capernaum on the sea of Galilee in the midst of a storm. Then receiving Christ into the boat find themselves on the shoreline of their destination? Did Jesus not only stop the storm, but reveals how He did, by fast forwarding time? Joshua 10;13? God can control time and be everywhere at the same time, then in fact He can move us where and when He wants us. If in a boat then why not on land?

Being in the spirit, we become His tools which Satan has no control! In fact we become like the Angels! "Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

13And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

14And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.

Some of The so called legalist/Elders were of the opinion that the myriad of gentiles should not be received as Paul was receiving them,,, they were against it.

They were of the opinion that a gentile could not go past the porch of Solomon, but to remember what God did to Ptere in the 10th chapter? it's been discussed here on the site where God asked Peter (3) times to eat of the unclean animals but they weren't unclean nor were they animals, they were gentiles/common whereby God told him to not call them common or unlcean for when they receive the Jesus they are a child of God.

Verse 20 chapter 21 reads incorrectly, it should read, "You see brother how many myriads there are AMONG the Jews having believed, and all the zealous one for the law are." (it's a mixed crowd)

Verse 21 They have been informed now about you that apostasy you teach from Moses, these among the gentiles all jews telling them not to circumcise them the children, nor in the customs to walk.

(This would be a lie, a spin job, they have been misinformed, no apostasy taught,,,Paul's 3 fold ministry was to the gentiles, not to the jews,,, Paul was teaching to gentiles "only" that they did not have to circumcise, nor walk in Jewish customs)

Sounds hypocritical to me of them/some elders being against the gentiles receiving God, but must walk in their customs.

Dear Linda God gave you to your children and He gave them to you . Please don't push them away from you , remember that people do change and don't give up on your kids . Look back at your own life and see how much you have changed over the years , I bet you are not the same person that you were five , ten , fifteen years ago . Be patient , pray for them and be a good example to them without being their harshest critic ,you may be Christian but you are also a Mom and your children are God given . You can be both , God knows your heart and your love for your children , He loves them and you and has put you all together for a reason . Just try to be the best Christian and the best Mom , I know you can do that and so does God .

My only comment will be to refer to Acts 1:7-8. Jesus told the apostles to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea (both Jews), in Samaria (non Jews) and to the ends of the earth (Gentiles). So, yes, Jesus did tell them that the Gospel was for the Gentiles, too.

I love the Words of our Lord. He is Truth and His Words are certainly true.

Hi Linda, If it were my children, I would say that I do not accept their orientation as being godly and that it is a serious sin. God hates it. I would also I love them very much, but I love God above all and will reflect His thoughts on this matter. I would tell them that I will call them by their given birth name and according to their biological sex, as that honors how God chose to make them as a male of female according to their DNA.

This would be difficult to come to say to those we love, but we must stand for God and be willing to lose these people from our lives if our stand turns them from us. They are already out of fellowship with God and we are perhaps the one they will turn to with honest spiritual questions one day. We cannot have compromise ruin our witness and veracity of God's claims.

I have had to have difficult conversations like this with my sister who is lesbian. Two of my other sisters also are lesbian. They have never wanted to speak to me concerning this. But my one sister did, and I was candid and honest. She respected that and we have a somewhat better relationship since we had a chance to discuss these matters at her initiative.

Since these people in your family have let you know their orientation and preferences, the door is now open for you to speak freely to them. I suggest you seek the Lord's guidance so He will give you the words you are to say to them.

After the flood, people began to worship idols instead of the One True God. Ishtar was one of the first female idols after the flood. She was considered the Queen of Heaven who gave birth to the son of god. Her son, even was said to be resurrected every spring by Ishtar. You see, Satan began corrupting mankind with what were part truths in the Garden of Eden, but also encompassed these part truths with falsehoods. After the flood, he did the same thing with this idolatry about the Queen of Heaven and the dying and rising god. This idol belief was adopted by almost every people in some form. You can read about this on site that speak to how the beliefs about Mary are a rehash of these ancient idol beliefs. I urge you to do so.

Angela, I say all of this in love. I know of many Catholics who practice this devotion to Mary. And I know how it takes away from our true worship of God. He is a Jealous God and does not want our hearts to reach out to any idols even if it is wrapped in "Christian" terminology. Scripture never says that Mary is the Queen of Heaven or the Mother of God as titles. Scripture never says that we are to pray to her or that she hears our prayers and answers them. Scripture does not say that she is Co-Redemptrix with Jesus. She is a human woman who was favored by God to gestate, give birth to, and raise up Jesus, our Savior, no more, no less. She is a believer in her Son, and so is among the saints in heaven. Scripture does not say that she hold any special place in heaven above all other saints or angels.

I recommend that you only follow what Scripture says. We are blessed to have the Bible for our personal reading and can study for ourselves what God revealed to us about Himself, salvation, and eternal life. May you be blessed richly tonight by the Holy Spirit, as Jesus promised He would do to all who believe.

I hope that you will know our Lord Jesus Christ more and more with each new day He give you to live in this life. It is Jesus Who leads us to the Father, and the Holy Spirit Who leads us to Jesus, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ that activates the working of salvation in one's life. Not Mary, not any saint, nor any other means. Jesus is the ONLY Mediator between the Father and us ( 1 Timothy 2:5. Jesus is our ONLY Savior ( Hosea 13:4; Isaiah 43:11) Mary attested to this in Luke 1:47 in the Magnificat.

Romans 10:8-12 says that if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. And in Romans 1:16 Paul say that he is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.

Angela, you do not need to appeal to Mary or anyone else but Jesus for salvation and all of your spiritual needs. He is our all in all. Mary was a humble woman. She was eager to agree to being the mother of our Savior. God chose her. She is special for that. But she is not involved in saving us in any way. God could have chosen another woman to conceive our Savior. But there can be no other as our Savior but Jesus. I think Mary was a godly example for all of us. She no doubt was meek and did not wish to bring glory to herself. She knew her role and standing before God. She did not seek more than being an obedient servant of God. She would not wish to have all of the (misguided) adulation given to her. She knows that all of the glory, honor, and praise is reserved strictly for our Triune God. He alone is God and worthy of our worship. Turning to Mary for help is like turning to any other pagan idol, as the Israelites did with the golden calf or the cakes baked to the "Queen of Heaven" (Ishtar), or the Asherah poles to the idol similar to Ishtar.

Angela, much of what the Catholic Church teaches about Mary go back to very ancient times after the flood.....

I agree the gospel that the apostles taught was the same as did Paul. What Peter stood up and said in Acts 2 is the same with one difference, they had not yet been told to carry it to the Gentiles. They were still under the command to go only to the lost sheep of Israel, Matt. 10:5-7.

My understanding, you may disagree with but may want to check out, that there was a prophecy that was not fulfilled. The saying to the Jew first and also to the Gentile. The time had not come to cut off the branch. The Church started all Jews/house of Israel.

Many places this prophecy at the end time but my studies show me it has been fulfilled, Jesus during the first 3.5 years and Jesus through His apostles during the last 3.5 years. It is Daniel 9:27, the apostles could not go to the Gentiles until the last 3.5 years of the 70th week of the prophecy was fulfilled, confirming the covenant to Daniel's people, (the house of Israel). I know you may say you don't agree but check it out.

Stephen was killed and when he was killed Acts 7:54-60, in vs 57 they stopped their ears (total rejection of Jesus) and drove out of Jerusalem all the believers in Jesus except the apostles. Saul/Paul was instructed by Jesus to go to the Gentiles, in Acts 9, Peter had his dream, in Acts 10, and the confirming the covenant with the house of Israel was fulfilled.

We see in Acts the transition that the apostles went through, like Acts 15. The gospel was the same, but the apostles had not been told it is for the Gentiles also, it took time to accept Jew and Gentile has been made in Jesus one new man, Eph. 2:15.
