When the the statement let us make man in our own image is made. Who is the us that's implied?

Some would say the Father the Son and the Holy spirit because it's easy to do. I'm searching for true understanding to have proof and evidence because I don't want to run away from these questions when contending with people while witnessing in the future.

Thanks be to Jesus the son of God. God is gracious and merciful to the sinner however we must be truthful with ourselves and know that even though God sees all and knows all we must repent and acknowledge our sins to him and ask for forgiveness, help and strength to overcome. Our help and strength comes from Jesus Christ and walking in his righteousness. God is a righteous judge who makes judgement on sin and just because we are under the grace through Jesus Christ does not mean we are to continue sinning God forbid

Yes, Jesus said that he will eat and drink in the Kingdom, so yes, we should eat and drink with Him!

    Luke 22:16-18

16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:

18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

    God Bless

Chris The key to that event in my understanding and your correct it doesn't state what specifically Ham

did but again things that a man of God [which Noah was ]would state the action so bad that scripture states

cursed and also talking about His Son, this situation is where spirit is thicker than blood! This tells you where

Ham was at spiritually and his actions proved it. I suggest looking up things or actions taken that are considered

    CURSED by God.

It's written,God is Good. Sin originated in satan's free wil mind. It's written, God has determined a time, to put an end to the enemy of God! Jesus said that nobody knows when it will be, only The Father. We can read mathews on 24th chapter, where Jesus describes the main traits of human behavior and earth destruction, that precipitate the abreviation of those days. We are on those days, since the time predicted by ptophecy ( Daniel 8:14) ended in 1844, afer the 2300 days / years. Then, started the time for the proclamation of the impending second coming of Christ (Apocalypse 14:6). Another final event happened, when Noah, during 120 years, announced to the world, that deluge or flood, would come, as it came. When someone enters a house destroyin and killing, the victym is legaly authorized to use force to defend his family. Noah was God's family, Jesus said that His family are those who submit to God's will and moral Law, being Sabath, the authority's sign! God's Justice and Mercy coexist, in order to stablish Love and freedom. There is an evil agressor, who invaded the earth, and intends to destroy and kill, starting on Heaven, and after being expelled, came here, tryind to continue the fight to stablish his throne above God's Throne. God in His wisdom had already decided to create free will beings, and take upon Himself full responsability of the consequences of the rebellion, by assuming the creature's defence in case of an agreesion. How much time took the rebellion to ferment? We don't know.

His answer to devil's intent, was revealed on Jesus's sacrifice and victory, on the cross, at calvary's hill, as God's Lamb, who takes away world's sin.

Since then, darkness's powers are doomed, by that Heavenly Councill, that accepted Jesus's sacrifice and Justice!

Jesus interceeds on Heaven's Sanctuary, for whosoever repents, believing on Jesus's blood mrits, and deciding for a new life, in Christ, by Holy Spirit's Power, To Trine God Almighty's Glory! men!Aleluia

1 Thessalonians Chapter 1:Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

    6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

    9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I hand over the Word as it also says what has been enlightened to me, I am only a living proof of God's great Grace. And need so much much more, as darkness eats up the lights of people we love.

The Word Is Psalm 119:105 Jesus Kristus

Dear Snowdean1. Pleace follow me in peace.

    Some examples:

Leviticus 27:v 30. And all the tithe of the land, whether of the corn of the earth, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's; it is holy to the Lord.

    There are more:

Deuteronomy 14:22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.

This is the tax that the Governors should have.

Later, tax was levied on taxes. As it is in today's society.

Matthew 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

Thank you for your attention. And may God bless us all in the One Name above all Names, Jesus Christ. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Love u in Christ.

Hello, that's a question I haven't heard before. Since food, dinners, has been involved in Jesus's ministry, including symbolism: bread, wine, and his first miracle was wine for a wedding feast, I personally believe there will likely be food in heaven. But I don't know of any scripture that directly says it. But here's one verse...

    Mark 14:25

Regardless, heaven will be mindblowingly amazing. I think your best day on earth with a max 10/10 fun here would be like less than 1% of the 100% scale of love, pleasure, fun and good feelings that will be had in heaven, based on my opinion of how I interpret the scripture about it.

  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hi Donna. I believe that Jesus was speaking in His Humanity, subservient to His Father in all things. Even though Jesus could also state elsewhere ( John 14:1-3), that when He returns to Heaven, He will be preparing a place for them, it seems that there were events (present & future) that He had authority over & there were some events He was not privy to (e.g. the time of His Return: Mark 13:32). So, Jesus is stating here that the authority to grant a position in Heaven didn't rest with Him but with the Father.

  • Chris - In Reply on Genesis 9 - 4 years ago
Hi Barbara. No. That would be misreading the verses ( Genesis 9:21,22). Some even try to incorporate Mrs. Noah into that verse, but all that verse states & suggests, is that Noah was drunken, lying down exposed, Ham walked by the tent's opening, & possibly lingered there observing his father in that sad state before reporting the matter to his brothers. Whereas Shem & Japheth gave their father a high degree of respect & covered him up without looking at him. I wonder what would have happened if Ham did not report it & just walked on & kept the matter to himself? Would that then turn the course of history for Ham's progeny (Canaan)?

Matthew 20:23 answers your question quite plainly, God the Father has prepared a seat on His right hand for His Son Jesus,

Matthew 20:23 "And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father."

Mark 10:40 "But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared."

Mark 16:19 "So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God."

Luke 12:32 "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."

Luke 22:24-30 "And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;" "That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

    Dear Jocelynne,

God was testing Abraham's faith in asking for him to sacrifice Isaac. God had communicated to Abraham at some time that He could raise up what has died, as Hebrews11:17-19 says Abraham believed that. So, since Abraham knew God could raise the dead, God was testing Him to see if he would believe it for his son, Isaac.

It is easy to believe things in theory, but here God wants to show Abraham if he actually believes in the resurrection power of God in regards to his only son who had promises attached to Isaac's survival. God knew what that Abraham would willingly offer Isaac, but Abraham (and Isaac) needed to find out if their faith was strong enough for such a test.

Dear Free, I agree. Believers in our affluent nations have put far too much into their lifestyles while so many are in need. We all can probably admit we are guilty in this way. I try to live simply, but I know there are ways I can go with less and be more generous. Thanks you for the good word. We are not to conform ourselves to this world, but to put on the mind of Christ. May this be so for us in this day.

    Amen brother,

"None that hath understanding above the Highest" there is no doubt or darkness in truth, and if we put our faith and trust in Him, we shall understand the truth through the Spirit sent in the name of His Son Jesus.

    God bless,

Rick you are right in that. I am glad you could lose the weight. I lost 20 pounds last year. Still have more to go, but it is hard when I cannot do as much activity as I would like. May be having foot surgery soon as my right foot is going the way of my left foot did 20 years ago. Lots of pain after walking just a short distance. There is some anomaly in the structure that needs to be fixed. So, I have cut out most stupid stuff. Trying to eat more protein. I enjoy vegetables and fruits, but my gut doesn't like a lot of meat on it. So, try to eat nuts, cheeses, and whey protein shakes to up the protein I get each day. I do eat meat every day, but in small portions, as tolerated. Thanks for the advise. I appreciate it. I was just an itty bitty thing for so many years, up until my mid forties-maybe 100 pounds wet, but as the years went by, I started gaining little by little until it became unhealthy for me. I 've been trying to lose weight since then, I lose some and then gain back a little more than I lost. Trying to find the right approach to get back to my itty bitty self again.

Hoping after my foot heals from surgery, I can get back to walking regularly like I did a few years ago before it began hurting. Sure wish I had a therapy pool installed at my house. I have done water therapy and it is really great! So, perhaps we will need to invest in some type of exercise spa. I think that may be the best for me since it doesn't have the impact that out of water exercise does. So I guess I need to start praying for God to supply the funds for this. We have been thinking about it for a few years.

Barbara Harris Genesis 9 From what I've studied there's a few possibilities of what occurred, that being

said whatever the act was had to be intentional and severe enough to have a curse on ham like the one on

Cain and other men who were wicked in their actions. Then another point is look at what God shows coming out

of the bloodline Nimrod who's name means rebel and the term mighty hunter before the Lord means in absolute

defiance of the true God. Also out of his bloodline came the Philistines not nice people!

    Hi there,

Good post. I was just reading in the gospels about the time between the resurrection and the ascension. Jesus made sure that the disciples had all of the instruction they needed to begin the ministry He was calling them to do when He returned to heaven. I noticed that, even though Thomas doubted the reports from his disciple friends, he believed when he met Jesus again alive. He said, "My Lord and My God." Now that is the exclamation of a believer! So glad that was recorded. Jesus meets us in our doubts and weakness and gives us what is needed, as He did for Thomas. He loved him.
