Dear Joyce, sometimes i think it would be nice that we humans didn't have free wiil so that we didn't find ourselves at risk to go to the eternal darkness.

The most obvious answer, as i see it , is that God didn't want robots. Sorry if that statement sounds offensive or an irony, it isn't. The word robot says all. Would you like to be a robot? A human robot? I guess you wouldn't. Robots have no feelings, no thoughts, just do what they are programmed to do.

Even angels have free will. That is why our enemy revolted against God and a number of angels followed him and became demons.

It is easy fot God to show Himself to all people and make them believe His existence. But in this case people would have been compleled to accept Him, it wouldn't be a decision made by their free will. And God does not want that.. He wants us to love Him and choose Him not pretending anything.

    That is my thought.

    God bless you.

    Dear David

If you are a Catholic, I recommend speaking with your priest to see what is "required" during Lent. If you are from a protestant denomination that practices Lent (Lutheran, Anglican, and some others) speak with your pastor and see what is "required".

Lenten practices are not mentioned in the Scripture, although fasting is. My recommendation is to seek the Lord and see how the Spirit guides you. There is nothing wrong with choosing to fast as long as one is led by the Spirit to do so for a day, a few day, a week, or at intervals. But there is not a requirement to fast in Scripture as far as I know.

praying in The HOLY GHOST; Jude v.20 = Both terms, "GHOST" and "SPIRIT", translate from the same Greek noun root (transliterated "pneuma"; pronounced "PNYOO-mah"), and derives the English element "pneumo-" referring to air, respiration, and the lungs.

GOD personally and intimately interacts with HIS people in the PERSON of The HOLY SPIRIT "Which is given unto us" ( Rom. 5:5), and "Which dwelleth in us" ( 2Tim. 1:14).

Praying "in The HOLY GHOST" (cp. Eph. 6:18) is just as required as praying to The FATHER in JESUS's NAME ( Jn. 14:6 & 13-14; Heb. 10:19; 1Tim. 2:5). Of note, both LORD JESUS CHRIST and The HOLY SPIRIT are the only AGENTS through which GOD The FATHER hears and attends to the saints' and the church's prayers ( Eph. 2:18):

"Through HIM (LORD JESUS CHRIST) we both (Paul and the Ephesian Church) have access {the privilege of approaching and gaining an audience} by one SPIRIT unto The FATHER."

Additionally, The SPIRIT aids our praying even during the most difficult situations ( Rom. 8:26):

"The SPIRIT also helpeth our infirmities (weakness; feebleness): for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but The SPIRIT itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

During these dire situations, The SPIRIT prays on the saint's behalf when the saint does not know what to pray for in a particular situation, nor how to verbally articulate the prayer.

Moreover, both LORD JESUS CHRIST ( Rom. 8:34; Heb. 7:25) and The HOLY SPIRIT ( Rom. 8:26-27) guarantee GOD The FATHER hears the saints' prayers through THEIR Intercessory Work.

Often, theologians describe The HOLY GHOST as the Third PERSON of the GODHEAD TRINITY. The reader must not assume this supposed "third" ranking attributes to HIM a lesser degree of status.

The expression, "The HOLY SPIRIT", identifies the Same DIVINE PERSON within the TRIUNE TRINITY of The GODHEAD which consists of The PERSONS of GOD The FATHER, GOD The SON LORD JESUS CHRIST, and GOD The HOLY GHOST (SPIRIT).

Hello. Ty for the condensed sum up as it thoroughly helps. You said: Jesus Christ, when came to earth, cancelled that law which had provisions of animal sacrifices in Solomon's temple and many other things. Revelations 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Guess you can't get no newer "New Testament" than Revelations. Thanks for the clarity. :)

I totally appreciate your interest. Jay is trying so hard to get ahead of the abortion rights people.

I studied (with a sick stomach) about Molech (or sometimes spelled Moloch), in the Bible. Then I looked at stories on YouTube with pictures!! That's when you realize killing babies in any time period of history, is child sacrifice to that demonic deity.

Archaeologists took some of the "baby caskets" to a laboratory and x-rayed them to find skeletons of tiny babies. People need to understand the horror of abortion throughout history.

We need to advocate for both and adoption again, like in the 50s and 60's. If people are so bold to get abortions and tell other what they did; why not give birth and let the child be adopted? God will still love them and forgive; if they ask Him.

I'll pray for you. Keep coming back here when you can.

    Hi Virginia,

The Jesuits were not founded until the 1500s, some involve the Jesuits with end-time teaching, with the black Pope, and more, and their past is not filled with a lot of good. The Sabbath is the seventh day, keeping the Sabbath is more than going to a church on that day, Exodus 20:8-11.

Constantine created the earliest Sunday law known to history in 321A.D. The main reason was the conflicts between the Jews and the Christians and since the pagans did their thing on Sunday. Constantine claimed to be Christian, but this law does not read like it.

"On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits: because it often happens that another day is not so suitable for grain sowing or for vine planting: lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost". Codex Justinianus, lib. 3, tit. 12, 3.

Council of Laodicea -364 AD named Sunday the Lord's Day. One reason was to stop the Sabbath-keeping tendencies in the Eastern Roman Empire. The Council of Laodicea produced sixty rulings, or canons, covering a broad range of topics and punishments.

Many worship on Sunday because the day Jesus resurrected was on the first day of the week and some on Saturday. We are also told not to judge, Colossians 2:16 read all of chapter 2. Every day is a good day to worship in the spirit and truth, John 4:23-24.

Some point to the phrase "four corners of the earth" that appear in the Bible. Isaiah 11:12 Revelation 7:1, and Daniel 4:11 is said the earth would have to be flat to see the tree, and more, but even if people in the past believed the earth was flat, in my opinion, the Bible does not teach that.

    God bless,

Thanks Chris for your perspective, but you said: From here on, Paul teaches what the Galatians should be embracing, i.e. Justification by Faith alone & nothing else. Could you explain the "Faith alone and nothing else" perhaps? I ask cause other scriptures go against that - James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

I can have faith - faith in the unseen, such as Christ or God, and faith that my sins will be forgiven through Christ as he is the advocate, but I should still adhere to the commandments (works) such as worshipping other gods before God, not killing, not stealing, not bearing false witness, and I thought keeping the sabbath as in going to church on Sunday?

What makes me a "Gentile" by the way? If I am a Gentile and not under a law and just have faith, I should be able to go out here and kill and rob and commit fornication thus all manner of wickedness with no problem......but I do have faith though. Perhaps Paul is talking about distinctions in the over law itself cause doing none of any law, man or Gods, just does not seem accurate.

Lastly, You use the word Jewish a few times but when I put this word in the search on this website, I only find it one time: Titus 1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. A fable is a make believe thing. I'm not saying a Jew is make believe as I have found "Jew" is short for Judah and Judah is the head tribe of the lost tribes of Israel. It's confusing, cause you say "Jewish convert" and to be Jewish is a race of people as said in the media but how can I convert to be Jewish? By changing my race? I'm just curious on all of this and the new testament and will continue to study.

It wasn't the Jesuits who changed the Sabbath.

Sabbath was the last day of the Jewish week (ours Saturday) and it was a Holly day for Jews. They were not permitted to do any work during that day.

The early church soon try to figure out which day to use for the Holly Communion, that is taking the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. The church rejected Sabbath, which for christians is just an ordinary day, because they didn't want to mix up Jedaism with Christianity so the selected the next day to Sabbath, the first day of the jewish week which they called it the '"Day of the Lord" and had the Holly Communion at that day. Unfortunately the english speaking nations as well as the germanic ones kept the roman names of the days of the week. Thus in english Sunday, in german Sontag which is day of sun, Monday, german Montag day of moon. That is not the case though in other languages that kept the initial names of the days. So that change was done at the very begging of Christianity. The very first mention of this day in Gospel is in Revelation 1:8. by apostle John.

As far as flat earth with dome, that was what the ancient people believed. We now know that earth is spherical and that dome is now called atmosphere.

    God bless you.

    Hello Virginia,

While the Jesuits have done much damage to Christianity, they did not change the Sabbath. Christians do not have to celebrate a Sabbath. Christ is our Sabbath rest! There is a good website with a book about this: biblebasedministries.co.uk

That being said, a day of rest & for the Lord is excellent!

Also, John Doerr, and Lamp in the Dark have good teaching videos on Youtube, as well as a channel called 'Rescuing the Church.'

The Earth is a globe, it is not flat. Now I definitely don't trust all of what NASA puts out, but the Earth is a globe. Google 'himawari-8' this is a Japanese satellite that sends photos daily, an image of Earth every 10 minutes.

Dear curious in simple words the story goes like this:

God gave His Law to Moeses who gave that law to Israeletes to obey it. That law which is the one that is mentioned in Paul's letter to Galatians is what we call the Old Testament.

Jesus Chist when came to earth cancelled that law which had provisions of animal sacrifices in Solomon's temple and many other things.

Instead Jesus established what we call the New testament. Now if you want to find out what the Old and New Testaments are about you have to study those things, they can't be explained in a few lines of words.

Soon the ancient church faced a problem. Jews that believed to Jesus tried to mix the old traditions and practises of the Old Testament with the new teachings that Jesus Christ tought. So the church of Galatia faced a problem of that kind when some gentile christians drifted towards those false teachings by some Jews who traveled there and Paul wrote a letter to solve the problem that was creared there.

That letter, epistle, is a good example of the differences between the two Testaments but you have to do a lot of other reading to understand it.

    Welcome to Jesus Christ.

    Good morning Roy,

I am not really sure of your question to me, but I think you are seeking knowledge about heaven and what it will be like for us believers. I am glad that you have the hope of heaven in you and so it awaits you and I when we die.

The Scriptures does not describe our heavenly existence in much detail, probably for good reason on God's part.

But Jesus said that He was going to prepare a place for us in John 14:2. He says that in our resurrection, our bodies will be reunited with our souls and spirit, but in a glorified way whereby our we will be immortal and incorruptible. So sin will no longer be found in us and we will live forever with God ( 1 Corinthians 15:35-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:17)

In heaven we will be completely satisfied with God has in store for us there. Our existence will be glorious, wanting for no good thing. We will not be solitary or alone, but have eternal fellowship with other believers and with God in Jesus Christ. We will see Jesus, and thus, since the Father and the Spirit dwell in Him, we will see God and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

    Hi Mary.

Is there any scripture in the Bible supporting these beliefs?

I don't no where in scripture where there is emphasis on color. The pride of man is the root of racism and division.

Aa for slavery, Yes it is wrong and I have seen some make excuses for it. But as for it along with murder abortion and every other abominable sin the world do will be considered when God judge the quick and the dead.

"IF" Christ is in us we see sin the way he do but the world will continue to do it, approve it, and excuse it.

There's Jews, Gentiles, and the Church in Gods view. And all have to come to come to him by Jesus.

    God bless

Amen brother Chris & neighbor Curious!

Legalism too is something that borders into this area that Paul addresses as a whole in the books of Galatians. Legalism was hard to shake from the Jews during that time. The "jew-christians (early messianics/Judaizers)," Pharisees, Sadducees and so on all lived under the bondage of the laws. They put others under the bondage of faith by works the same which never saved anyone after Christ shed His Blood for our sins to have Grace by means of Salvation.

To encourage you all neighbors, I lived in this bondage growing up. I was raised roman catholic and was very involved until I was 19-years old. I was even told by a cardinal back then that our lives in service to God are only of good deeds (which he referred moreso of works). They would twist the book of James to no end. James mentions works but the works that James speaks of is the fruit of the Spirit of the born again; not works by means of Salvation. Anyway, I left the catholic church after a divide toward atheism. Long story short, I nearly died when I was 22-years old and the only person willing to help me in the hospital that time was a born again Christian. They shared with me the verses in the Bible (which I'd never read back then) how to be saved. It took a lot of resistance but God broke through in October 3rd, 2010. My encouragement to you all is that we ought to praise Christ Jesus for dying for our sins, giving up His free Grace, washing us from our sins, His mercy, His Holy Spirit, His Holy Word (KJV in English in my case) and the great promises He gives to the elect including Eternal Life after this. Amen!

God bless you both and I'll see you someday when I lay my burdens down. Amen!

I think so too Roman , but it's always good to admit to ourselves that we could be wrong . I've just read that Putin is threatening to cut off the gas that he supplies to a lot of European countries , tomorrow . The European press is saying that he's being missinformed by his military but I think the west is softening us up to make him sound not so bad , so that they can agree terms with him . No , he's not really a bad guy with the largest proliferation of nuclear weapons , he's being mislead , we need his gas , let's make peace . Time will tell . Let's not be too scared though , Christ is coming .

    Hi Chris

In Luke 1 Mary is told she would conceive in her womb.

Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

That indicated to me that the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ was similar to all births.

The difference was that it happened because the Holy Spirit planted the seed of God into Mary.

The seed of God impregnated the seed of the women producing the Lord Jesus Christ.

His birth was the same as all babies born of women. How each and everyone of us are born.

Jesus is before Abraham ( John 8:58) but is that physically or in Gods mind?

Consider Genesis 3:15 the seed of the women.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

This is the seed of the women. This is a future event. It hasn't happened yet.

This is long before Abraham is even mentioned. Before Abraham was, I am.

The character of Jesus is mention in the time of Adam and Eve. Right at the beginning of the world.

Jesus is before all others in scripture but he wasn't physically formed until his conception and his birth by Mary.

He was in Gods mind right from the creation of the earth in the time of Adam and Eve.

God will and does say things exist even of they don't at this moment.

When God says things will happen then be sure they will.

It does not mean they are physically there now. Rest assured they will happen but in Gods good time.

Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Isa 46:9-10 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

    I'm out of space.

    Thanks
