Has there ever been a female angel? If no, why not?
Thank you!
The book is a record of the Acts of the Holy Spirit through witnesses chosen before of God
I know how to fast. God has called me to fast on many occasions.
Thanks for the info, though. And especially, thank you for praying for my sons. There is certainly a battle for their souls going on. It started in 2000 during a time when the Holy Spirit was directing me in some very serious ways as to what to say and do in the church situation we were in at the time. Much fasting and prayer. So, my kids were targeted by the enemy and they have suffered from this for 22 years. It is a long battle, but I keep on contending for them. They were given to my husband and I to be saved by the gospel message of Jesus. God will have His way in this matter, but it seems that perseverance in faith and prayer is asked of us. I look forward to the day when God restores all that the enemy has taken from my sons and our family during this time period.
Like, Job, God will not allow any of us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. And, like, Job, being faithful and refusing to give up our trust in God is what we are to do as we wait for God to bring our sons back to Him in faith and gives them soundness of mind, soul, and spirit. I do not understand why He is taking so long to do this, but i trust that He will, indeed, return these prodigals back to Him and bring blessing upon blessing upon them.
Salvation is so YOU will never die; but are GIVEN eternal life.
1 John 5:11 And this is the record, God hath GIVEN to us eternal LIFE, and THAT LIFE is his SON.
YOU DIED with Christ on the cross.
YOU AROSE, a new creation, the LIFE of Christ IN YOU: you are the body of Christ.
1 Timothy 6:16 Who (Christ) ONLY hath IMMORTALITY, dwelling in the light ....
1 Corinthians 15:53 .....and this mortal (you) SHALL PUT ON IMMORTALITY .....Christ ONLY hath IMMORTALITY.
1 Corinthians 15:54 .....Death is swallowed up in victory ......
Colossians 1:27 .....this MYSTERY .....Christ in YOU .....
1 Corinthians 12:27 Now ye are the BODY of Christ ....
Psalms 82:6 I have said, YOU are gods, the children of the most high.
This is the GOOD NEWS of the gospel.
God bless you!

fear not most of all preachers and teachers think the same...
peace..if you are born again of a truth god will show you the interpretation thereof...
I must add the "blessed hope" of Christ's return in glory.
Sorry, I missed that one. that is a "biggie"
I love to look, listen, gather and learn as much as I love to engage.
Sometimes it's best to just say Amen when you can't improve a reply.
God bless.
If you're asking do we have to clean up ourselves before we come to the Lord. The answer is No. We can't clean up ourselves. It's Christ who cleanse us. So yes you come to him as you are. Once you receive Christ spirit there os spiritual growth. You are given a new heart. Sanctification comes after salvation.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18 . Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
I hope this helps.
God bless.
I would say that if the Lord is putting it on someone's heart and persuading them to gamble with their money, than it should be okay for that person. I do not gamble because the Lord has put it on my heart not to gamble. I cannot speak for anyone else because if the Lord is leading them to gamble, who am I to say it is wrong for that person.
I do agree with GiGi that it can take over a person's will power and ruin a life. I have seen it happen to some people who were close to me.
In anything we do, and it doesn't even need to be gambling, it can be anything, but whatever it it, does it glorify God?
I'm probably the oddball here, but I always like to fall back on Romans 14:23 which says, "That which is not of faith is sin."
That word faith literally means persuasion. That's what faith means, persuasion. So if I keep that in mind, anything I do, apart from God's persuasion (Persuading me to do whatever it is I'm doing), for me that would be sin.
Salvation goes out to everyone.
John 1:29. The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
1 John 2:2. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD.
Revelation 22:17. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let HIM THAT HEARETH say, Come. And let HIM THAT IS A THIRST come. And WHOSOEVER WILL, let him take the water of life freely.
Romans 10:9-10. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, AND SHALT BELIEVE IN THINE HEART that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I hope this helps.
God bless.
I did some reading some time ago about the Nicolaitans and this man, Nicolas was a proselyte from Antioch. Many believe, and from the history of this man, that he eventually left God's work somewhere down the line and he gathered his own following.
Nicolas is mentioned in Acts 6:5. He's one of the men that were chosen to distribute bread to the Greek speaking Jewish community.
Some historical documents say that Nicolas left the church and became a Gnostic, and began spreading false teaching.
And because his name is Nicolas, they were called the Nicolaitans. They were followers of Nicolas, and the trail leads back, at least to the historians and the archaeologists, to this Nicolas of Antioch. Just a side note!
I do thank you for your thoughts on both Koine and modern Greek. Some of the Greek you have shared has helped me out.
Were you testing the waters, I feel you have more to add than you ask. I will check out the book. The truth is simple, but we as mankind kick up the dust of wisdom and make it hard to see.
Don't stay away, God bless,
RLW
Through Jesus Christ then why gamble because God does not work by chance.
Thank you for the information. Since Scripture didn't really explain the teachings of the Nicolatians, we may not know definitively what they taught and practiced that was so egregious to the Lord.
Jesus and the apostles walked or at times took a boat. No need for Health Clubs when you walk every day and for the distances they did.
Thanks for everyone's contribution. This is a wonderful venue.
I, too, think that it is ok to participate in gambling. However, like other things (alcohol intake) it can take over someone's willpower and bring ruin to one's life.
But some can gamble as a kind of entertainment and not spend more than they intend and their winnings and losings balance out. My Mom was one who was able to play bingo or other types of gambling with self-control. She kept track of her winnings and losings and pretty much stayed even. So, as entertainment, it was money spent for that. She did not go to movies, out to dinner, or most other types of entertainment.
But other people may be more prone to risk taking in many areas of their life, gambling being one of them. It is not the act of gambling that is wrong, it is the need for risk taking that leads to sin.
Yes, Paul is the apostle whose evangelism to the Gentiles are recorded in his epistles and Acts. He also evangelized Jews that were dispersed in the areas he evangelized. At a specific time, he stopped preaching in the synagogues, but when he was preaching to crowds, there most likely were Jews among those who listened.
Also, some of the 12 apostles also evangelized to peoples in areas that had many Gentiles. So Paul was not the only one who evangelized the Gentiles. We just don't have recorded in Scripture what the other apostles did and where they preached.
