Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." ... His Word is the ultimate truth, and we can find confidence in knowing it is our greatest weapon.
I hope this helps.
I think that the text is open for bot interpretations. Either way, the only humans that survived the flood were Noah and family, was was from Adam's bloodline by Seth. Therefore, even if there were others created before Adam and Eve on day 6, they all perished in the flood along with Cain's bloodline (which would have been mixed with this other group of humans if they did exist).
So, I have not had struggles like you mention concerning interference from evil spirits. That must be someone wearying, being ever watchful. Your words remind me to pray more for others who are going trough such tough times.
The last think I wanted to mention is that I think that Jesus came to earth not just to get back what we lost in wit Adam and Eve, but to redeem a people to Himself transformed to spend eternity with Him. Adam and Eve were innocent in the garden but they were not fully redeemed. They did not have their heavenly bodies nor had their spirits been reborn.
Therefore, I believe that the plan of God for man was to be culminated at the end of time, where those wo are His receive the fullness of our salvation, and those that are not His are judged to hell. I think that the state of innocent Adam and Eve in the garden was the end game of His plan. He always had a higher state of existence in mind for te redeemed of mankind before all time began. Just some food for thought.
Three plus one equals four you are alone no more.Have a abundantly blessed week ahead.Keep Growing.
I agree that Satan and his evil spirits are at work in the world since the beginning of mankind. As, I stated to Spencer, I agree we are called to stand in our armor against him and to resist him. I trust that God has encompassed believes with angels that are warriors for us against these powers. I also think that we can demand tat these evil spirits let go of, leave, and stop, what they are doing in our lives, homes, and with those we know and love. We can speak to these powers in Jesus' name and announce to them that they have been defeated already by Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord or Lords. We can take every thought captive to God's word and practice rejecting thoughts that are not godly from our minds with the power that the Holy Spirit strengthens us with.
It sounds like (from what I have read on your posts) that you were involved in occultic things. Perhaps these spirits continue hard to get someone back who left these things. I have not ever been interested in occultic things. Growing up, I hated scary movies that had evil depictions. I hated anything that the bible said was sorcery or witchcraft. I always had a check in my spirit when in a situation that is just not right. I sense the spiritual evil in my spirit and I either have prayed, if I cannot get away, or leave right away.
One time I was leading an outing with my sons and their friends from church. We were participating in our own "lane", minding our own business, when a group of 20 somethings showed up, cussing and such, and acting perverted wit one another. I sensed it right away, and backed up just a bit and bowed my head, closed my eyes and prayed for a minute or so. When I opened my eyes, they were gone! They had relocated to a totally different part of the facility!
I was not one to want to push up to the line of the forbidden. I was what most would term, "compliant child", and happily so. Though have been a sinner all my life, I hated this about me. I was not very rebellious.
John 16:1-4, John 17:1-26, John 18:12-15,
Forgive our zeal for GOD's love for us. As adopted in, grafted in children. John 3:16,
The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
Matthew 11:19
The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
Wesley's Notes for LUKE 7:34
7:34 But wisdom is justified by all her children - The children of wisdom are those who are truly wise unto salvation. The wisdom of God in all these dispensations, these various methods of calling sinners to repentance, is owned and heartily approved by all these.
Wesley's Notes for MATTHEW 11:19
11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking - Conversing in a free, familiar way. Wisdom is justified by her children - That is, my wisdom herein is acknowledged by those who are truly wise.
People's Bible Notes for MATTHEW 11:19The Son of man came eating. Like other men. He was at the wedding feast of Cana (Joh 2:2); at Matthew's feast, ( Mt 9:10), etc. A winebibber. There was nothing singular about his social habits. Like all the people, he drank the light, harmless wine of Palestine, either free from, or with a very slight percentage of, alcohol. Our modern wines are very different. A friend of tax collectors and sinners. See notes on Mt 9:12,13. Wisdom is justified of her children. Those who are wise will approve both the course of John and his Lord.
I am visualizing a beautiful place in the woods but I could well be missing the meaning
Satan inhabited a serpents body, because he didn't have a human body. He wasn't human.
Satan and demons seek bodies to inhabit.
Jesus came to earth and took on flesh; a human body by being born through Mary.
Jesus came to get back what Adam lost to Satan. Authority.
Jesus got back Dominion, Power and ALL Authority "He crushed satans head", on the Cross. Power in the Blood.
Jesus gives it to us. We live minimalist if we don't discover what Jesus gives us when we are born again into the Kingdom.
Jesus equips us with all he has and given us the Armor, Ephesians 6.
Why don't we use it?
Hopefully these are helpful in your study.
I highly recommend watching Greg Laurie on YouTube. Harvest Church. He doesn't meander on Bible at all. He's preaching to a young congregation.
I've walked out of churches that teach psychology instead of theology (Straight Bible). Find a church that teaches Bible.
Your comment shows you have hunger and thirst for the Lord. Bless you.
Jesus literally went to hell and came back with a set of keys Satan HAD in his possession; and one of them fits the lock on you.
You have only to ask Jesus to come into your life and stay forever.
On the Red link page, is one named Become A Believer. It has a prayer on it that will help you.
Bless you
Wesley's Notes for Luke 22:38
Here are two swords - Many of Galilee carried them when they travelled, to defend themselves against robbers and assassins, who much infested their roads. But did the apostles need to seek such defence? And he said; It is enough - I did not mean literally, that every one of you must have a sword.
People's Bible Notes for Luke 22:38
Here [are] two swords. How they come to be in their possession is not told. It is enough. This is a dismissal of the subject, not a warrant for their use. That was rebuked when Peter resorted to one ( Mt 26:52-54).
He played 'church' when he was little, with siblings and friends. He was a very anointed Pastor.
However it happened, he began teaching there was no hell. He lost his church. Oral Roberts rebuked him and other ministers. This happened I think in the 90's. I moved to Austin in 89.
I still have a box of his sermons from before he changed. Such an anointing! A lot of people followed him. He's living in past glory; so are they.
He needs people of faith to keep praying for him. I believe in miracles.
The Bible says in Revelation 22:18-21
We are forbidden to add, subtract or change scripture. No options.
Thank you for the insult "You are obviously not aware of the Scriptures." Do you mean scriptures like Matthew 5:11 and 1 Peter 4:14?
Let's address your claim: "The Bible is to the Israelites only."
Is that true? Since there is a lack of evidence for this how can we be certain if your statement is true or not?
Maybe you believe that because Jesus focused his ministry on Israel as said in Matt 15:24. But that doesn't automatically mean his teachings weren't for others, does it?
1 John 2:2 - this says Jesus died for the sins of the 'whole world', not just Israelites. Doesn't that contradict what you said?
John 10:16 - Jesus was ministering to one fold (flock) and said He had others. Could this mean He was talking about people in other countries besides Israel?
Romans 3:29 - this clearly says God is the God of not just Jews but Gentiles too. Doesn't that contradict what you said?
Isaiah 42:6 - same thing. This means He will be a light to other nations. This means the ministry DID include other people besides Israelites.
Acts 2:21 - Everyone who calls upon the Lord shall be saved. If what you said was true it would say [Only Israelites] who call upon... But it clearly says "everyone."
Have you read the above scriptures and what do they mean to you?
Do you believe all moral law is Israel-only like murder, adultery, theft, idols? So, do you think God is ok with non-Israel people committing those sins?
Some say she is from the land of Yemen, where Sheba is located. Some say she was a queen of Ethiopia or Egypt.
Another place I read she may have come from Beer-sheba, located at the very southern border of Israel near the Negev desert wilderness (which may have been viewed as the end of the land).
She was a seeker of wisdom and was willing to travel to visit the wisest person on earth at that time, Solomon.
There isn't a verse 34 in Psalm 10.
Could you get back with us on the verse you are inquiring about?
Luke 22: V: 38:
And they said, Lord behold, here are two swords."
And Jesus said, It is enough?"
I tried to find info about this last night and could not find anything. I did find out that Sin was the name of the moon god in Mesopotamia, but not a land named that. So, I was going to search more today. But you beat me to it. Good for you.
