    Brother Chris,

Harry states: "Then I shall have received eternal life in all its fullness, spirit, soul, and body, entirely conformed to Christ. In that sense I am hoping for eternal life" My comment: Yes, I agree we are all hoping for eternal life/salvation - we do not have it until the final judgement.

Harry:"But over and over and over again, Scripture rings the changes on the fact that every believer is at the present time in possession of eternal life." My comment: Here he contradicts himself saying that he believes that every believer is currently in possession of eternal life.

Harry: "That is exactly what we stand for. Anyone who says "I am a Christian" and does not follow peace and holiness will never see the Lord. At the judgment seat of Christ, the Lord will go over the entire life since regeneration, giving His mind about every thing, and the believer will then for the first time see each detail in the light of God's infinite holiness. Everything there will be dealt with so that the believer's failures will never be referred to again for all eternity." My Comment: I agree with this, we must be Christ followers, and Jesus Christ (Our Judge) will go over our lives since "being saved" or as Harry says since "our regeneration".

    God Bless

    Leland,

God has declared the end from the beginning, He is in total control and it is hard for us to grasp with our human minds. It is for His pleasure and His glory and His counsel shall stand Isaiah 46:10. It is beyond our understanding, like what God allowed Satan to do to Job. I was not blessed with children and I cannot pretend to know how I would feel if I lost every child I had, along with all I owned. Do we have that kind of faith? The times are coming for those who are living when the end of days begins, it will take that kind of faith.

God uses people good and bad to do His will. Look at Pharaoh, God raised him to do His will Exodus 9:16. God named King Cyrus of Persia by name before he is even born to serve Him, Isaiah 45, and more.

I feel Jesus answers this, God gave the disciples to Jesus, and Judas was given to fulfill scripture. God knew who he was and he is one of two who is called the son of perdition.

John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

    God bless,

It is true that there are penalties and punishments for lying. And anyone saying do not judge someone or their heart for their lies are not speaking by the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of Truth and he is the Spirit of God. God hates lying so much that he said in Revelations that whosoever, make and love a lie shall not enter into heaven.

    Revelation 21

    KJV

27+ And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

    Revelation 22

    KJV

15+ For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

We must judge righteous judgment. The Bible says that we will judge the world then why come we cannot judge the works both bad and good of others. It is unscriptural not to judge what is coming out of someone's spirit. The Holy Spirit is in you to help you. For it is dangerous not to try a spirit but to believe every spirit. The Holy Spirit in us is our measuring rod that let's us know when a standard is not of the Lord. And no lie or liar is of the Lord. People have been destroyed and even literally killed because of a lying and deceitful tongue. I find the scripture Psalms 120 in my morning devotion to be right on the mark. I have an acquaintance that lies to get everything she need, wants, and desires. But she say that she is Born-Again. However, this morning before reading my devotion the Holy Spirit was revealing to me that she is a liar and it is going too land her in trouble then in hell if she does not change. But? How will she turn from her ways if she does not hear the Word of God on this matter. She has stop going to church and only listens to false teachers that God told her to depart from long ago. Some of these false teachers were caught and reported to Rip Off. However, she still remain among them. Therefore, it is our reasonable services to pray but then we act. Shalom!!

    Hi Brother Chris,

Thanks, I did enjoy reading the article you recommended regarding salvation. Eternal Security Of The Believer

By Dr. Harry Ironside. Anyone interested in reading can google it.

Basically, I understand that Harry believes that once we are Born Again we "can't lose" our salvation. But, he does interrupt this belief to say, that if we don't live a christian life we will not get our salvation, and that if we do fall away that we were never really "Born Again" or saved in the first place. This to me, this is "focal point" regarding losing salvation.

Here are are few excepts of his article: Harry, "the moment you trust the Lord Jesus as your Savior, your responsibility as a sinner having to do with the God of judgment is ended for eternity, but that same moment your responsibility as a child having to do with a Father in heaven begins. Now if as a child you should sin against your Father, God will have to deal with you about that, but as a father and not as a judge" My comment: I have a different belief, the bible tells us that Jesus will be our Judge.

Harry, "and if a man starts out and makes a profession but gives it all up, he will never be saved, because he was never born again to begin with, he was never truly changed by grace divine. On the other hand, the reason he endures to the end is not because of any particular perseverance of his own. What I believe in, and what the Word of God clearly teaches, is the perseverance of the Holy Spirit. When He begins a work, He never gives up until it is completed" My comment: If we don't live a Christian life we will not receive salvation, so whether we were "previously saved" or "never saved" it is a moot point, as we are going to hell.

In John 10:22, Jesus Christ is at the Temple probably December 25 for the Feast of Dedication (which has been paganized into Christmas). That date would be the first Day of an eight day Feast celebration.

The Maccabees decided to re-Dedicate The Temple on the 25th of Kislev (2 Maccabees 10:5) which is December 25. In the Bible it does not state that that date is the birth of Jesus Christ. Further, this Feast celebration of this date does not involve a decorated tree. (2 Maccabees 10:1-9)

profitable at all, also if its prophecy then its has to come to pass verbatim never have heard or seen that. Lets

Jesse no offence but i think that Judas was saved as our Lord died for every sinner. When Jesus prayed FATHER forgive them they know not what they do Thats the world as God so loved the world . There is not 1 sinner that his blood cannot forgive . WASH CLEAN. There is not 1 sin that is stronger then his blood for remission of OUR sins . Remember Joseph was a type of Christ and he forgave all his brethren that had sold him including Judah that had sold him for 20 pieces of silver . When Jesus said have not I chosen you 12 but 1 of you is a demon, that was all of them we are ALL born with a demon thats y we must be bornagain every one of us, Remember Jesus even refered to Peter as a SATAN , As we all have a demon according to our OLD demonic nature. We must remember that the blood was applied to every one of US . As our lord died for ppl like Judas . Behold the lamb of God that taketh the Sins of the world .

Joseph brought All his brethren into the Kingdom on the 3 r day including Judah a type of Judas . He frankly forgave them ALL . How much more the Love of Jesus toward Judas. Its our old Adamic nature that should have neva been born .

We will ALL have to go thru his baptism of fire....

Tony I thought for a while about your questions but given this is for the most part a format that is here

to discuss the positives of believing Gods Word and deliverance through Jesus Christ, I don't see the profitability

spiritually of continuing this area of conversation. If someone else chooses to that's there privilege, so that being

said I'm on to something else. I bid you Philippians 4:8+9 God Bless

Jesse My understanding biblically is repentance is for the unsaved[before born again] and forgiveness

when a believer sins recognises it and ask and be thankful for forgiveness and move on. This is short version.

Gigi This is not a subject I focus on or discuss much because I really don't think about evil until I'm presented

with a situation then ask the father whats going on and what to do. I endeavor to focus on the Gospel.

Tony Spirit is not passed at birth, when any human is born he is body and soul, the only exception to this that

I'm aware of is John the baptist, even Jesus Christ was not born with Spirit, John 1:32. When an individual gets

born again he receives that which he didn't have before holy spirit eternal life Gods Gift. Now some believe the

spirit and soul are the same.

Spirit life is eternal where as when you take your last breath that's the end of sou life , Genesis 2:7 God formed man, gave him shape then breathed into his nostrils breath of life and he became a living Soul

it is believed by some since God is Spirit that is what he breathed in man. In Genesis 1:27 God created man in His own

Image and In the Gospel of John 4:24 Jesus Christ said God Is Spirit. So man in the beginning was body soul and spirit

when man sinned in Genesis He lost his Most important part His Spiritual connection with God which was bought back by Jesus Christ.

These Gospels are indeed important and should not have been removed from the KJV Bible. As God said No one is to add or remove scripture from His Holy Bible and so many have been removed by MAN.

theres nothing i hate more than error.. sin is error. to err from the way.. being half german and Australian, the good'ol she'll be right mate just dont cut it with the goad for me.. German's require perfection, hence the Word of the Lord..

sure i have erred, and i hated it when i realised what transpired from it. Christ died, was buried, but rose again. there is something to be said for sound winners so i confessed! and chose to have my debt cleared. yes we of faith are all under sanctification, and still err till our deaths, but pls, for the Love of Christ ;) , make ur comments sound.. i am jealous for him and his perfect glory.. ..does me!

to debbi, why cant you find time to read the bible?.. Job 23:12 "Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food."

u think everything else is more important..

Hello Rick! I appreciate your feedback. After reading both my initial posts, do you think my proposal is valid?

    1. Sons of God and Satan presented themselves to God because they were evil.

    2. God banished them to earth where at least some "possessed" the natural bodies of men

    3. Having commandeered these bodies at birth (when the soul & spirit are given), they assumed all the natural attributes of men.

    4. That is why the sons of God (now devils masquerading as men) found the women attractive and married them.

    5. The result was children with human traits but evil spirits.

    6. God saw what happened and lamenting, wanted to destroy man.

    7. Except for Noah.

I believe that I can back all this up with several Biblical verses. Is my analysis accurate? Where am I wrong? Is this plausible? Thanks!

In a google search, it says that gold was the first mineral to be mined and refined. I can be found around the world and exists in an almost pure form.

Genesis 4:19-20 says that Cain's descendant, Tubal-Cain (Lamech's son) worked in metallurgy using bronze and iron. So, it seems to have been known about very early in human History.

    Sandy,

If you google about the type of altar God accepts, you will find that He instructed His people to make altars of unhewn stones. He did not want any "tooled" altars. (man made bricks, carved, engraved, etc.) This is probably a connection to the commandment to not make any graven images. Most likely, altars of pagans were engraved with icons and images of deities and symbols of their pagan religions. Also, perhaps He instructed this way so that the people would know that they could make an altar of stones anywhere and anytime. They would not have to travel to a temple or place of worship. They could worship God anytime, anywhere, in any circumstance.

    Rick and Mishael,

It is very evident that evil spirits are active in our sphere of existence. The Incarnate Word, Jesus, took them on in His authority as God when they manifested in "broad daylight" before many people. They didn't just begin to work evil in the world during Jesus' time on earth. They did this work from the beginning. And they did not stop working evil when Jesus died and rose and ascended. They have continued working evil to this day. A lot is done in "secret" when people participate in occult practices. But in foreign countries such as Africa and Asia, they do manifest openly in people they are torturing.

They constantly war against God, believers, and the witness of the Church. Perhaps we have been lulled by the ease of life and protection here in the U.S. to not pay attention to these evil entities. But they are paying attention to us, whether we are aware of it or not. We can hide ourselves in Christ and be equipped for the task of interceding for others, speaking God's Word to repel evil spirits, and walking in obedience to Christ.

I appreciate your perspectives, as I have had just a few experiences where I knew I was dealing with something evil within a person I was interacting with. I am thankful it is not an everyday occurrence. But for some, it is a daily battle. May we keep these people in our prayers, whether we know them by name or not. The Spirit will help us in intecessory prayer, praying in and through us.

    Leland,

It is true that Judas repented. But is it really the same repentance that a person expresses when they realize their sin and need of a Savior. I would say no, and please allow me to explain how I come to this conclusion.

First off, we do know that the Bible says that Judas repented. But the word used where it says he repented is not the word used for repent as in making a decision to change the direction of your life and surrendering your life to Christ.

The repentance you mention that we as believers express is the word METANOEO which is true repentance where a person makes the decision to change the direction of their life. And that person must realize that they cannot change themselves. They need Christ to make that change.

The word METANOEO is not the word that was used for Judas where it says he repented. That word is METAMELOMAI which is a word that means to be sorry for your action.

So yes, Judas was sorry for his action, but he did not express true repentance and ask for forgiveness. Plus, Judas was evil from the very beginning when Jesus chose him to be part of the 12. Jesus chose an evil man to fulfill an evil deed.

I just wanted to share this with you on the word repent. We see it in our English Bible and we know what repent means in English. But knowing that there is more than one word in the Greek text for our English word repent, I have to conclude that Judas was only sorry for his action (METAMELOMAI), because that's the word that was used, and he never truly repented (METANOEO).
