    Anthony,

The promise of salvation through the gospel of Jesus was given to all mankind in the garden of Eden ( Genesis 3:15) when God told the serpent (evil one) that about the promised Seed (Jesus) from the woman. Although he (evil one) will strike the heel of the promised Seed (Jesus), the Seed (Jesus) will crush his (evil one) head (which is defeating the dominion and authority of the evil one -the head) The promised Seed (Jesus) will have victory over Satan and all of is evil works.c

The promise was given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that all nations will be blessed through the Seed (Jesus) that comes from the lineage of Abraham.

Therefore, at the appointed time, the eternal Son of God was conceived in Mary's virgin womb by the power of the Holy Spirit and born in human flesh while still retaining his deity, also. So the plan was for the Messiah (Jesus) to come through the Israelites, and the order was that He would go first to His people, the Jews, to preach the news of the kingdom of God, and they, as a whole rejected them. After Jesus ascended, He appeared to Saul on the way to Damascus and converted him outright and commissioned Saul/Paul to take the gospel of the God's kingdom arrival in the person of Jesus Christ, the Messiah to mankind. The Godhead intended for the gospel to be offer salvation to all in humanity who believe by faith from before the creation of the universe. So, although Jesus preached primarily to the Jews in his day before He ascended to heaven, He also ensured that the gospel be preached in all the world until He returns by the power and call of the Holy Spirit on believers to preach of Him.

Hope this helps. By the way, Anthony, if you grew up in Burien and have a sister named Luanne, I knew you in high school. If not, I will know you in glory anyway. Blessings.

Tony, I'm sorry that you lost your loved ones and are on drugs. I'm really glad that you quit for a week. I know the Lord is tugging at your heart cuz you picked up your Bible and cried. I went through the same thing at Different times in my life. And God brought me out and delivered me. But I never gave up on him. And he never gave up on me just like he said in his word. He'll never leave us or for sake us. He should've left me along time ago but he didn't and I love him for it. I have a friend named Tony that I'm praying for. Don't give up on God. He won't give up on you. Even when the devil tries to make you think God doesn't want you anymore . God does want you. I'm praying for you tonight.

Hi, from what I know, the Catholic Church recommends confession to a priest often, but it is not necessary to have been to confession before accepting communion unless you have committed what the church said is a "mortal" sin, such as murder, adultery, apostasy. But the Scripture says that we have one mediator between God and Man, Jesus Christ. So, by this verse, one does not need to go to a priest to confess their sins to be forgiven. A person can go straight to the God through the name of and faith in in Jesus Christ for forgiveness and redemption. If someone is caught in a sinful habit or has done a grave sin such as murder, adultery, etc., it is fine and recommended that a person seek the counsel of a church leader such as a priest, pastor, elder, or mature Christian for strengthening and support.

Hi Victor. I believe that it was jealousy & then revenge that caused Joab to kill Amasa. If you read 2 Samuel 17:25, you'll see that Amasa was made "captain of the host instead of Joab" by Absalom. Then 2 Samuel 19:13, King David confirmed Amasa's position "continually in the room of Joab". So, as soon as Joab got the chance, he took Amasa by surprise as Amasa didn't expect Joab to be approaching him with an evil intent & was murdered in cold blood (Joab was part of Abishai's army). Thus Joab's revenge for not being made captain of the host was fulfilled.

Hi. To answer your question simply, it would be, 'there is nothing in the Bible that supports confession to a priest before partaking in communion.'

Since I am not RC, I cannot comment fully without having to refer to the other aspects of the Mass. I don't agree to the communion emblems being spiritually re-constituted into the Body & Blood of our Lord, just as I don't agree to making confession to a priest, whether in relation to the Mass or not.

However, in support of the matter of confession, the main Scripture that the RC Church uses is John 20:23, "Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained." This is used because of the authority Jesus gave to His disciples & then by extension, that same authority was conferred upon the priests who follow in the station of the apostles. If I might expand on that verse: the word, 'remit', sometimes translated as 'forgive', actually means 'to send away, to release'. And the word, 'retain', means 'to hold fast, not let go'.

So, the RC Church then believes that it has the God-given authority to both forgive, or release, the sins of the penitent, as well as to withhold that forgiveness - usually then requiring some type of penance be made. But is all this correct? When we study the intent of John 20:23, no such authority was conveyed to the Christ's disciples, who became His apostles; because only God can forgive us our sins through His Son, & not through man ( 1 Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" - Jesus can only hear our confession & forgive our sins).

Therefore, John 20:23, is the authority given to His apostles to bring out this new Truth by declaring to the Church the gravity of sin & the conditions on which Christ can forgive them - if they truly confessed, the apostles had Christ's Authority to declare the sinner as forgiven (sins remitted) & restored - but not to be a mediator before God.

So when you say Jesus came originally only for the lost sheep of Israel, what changed? Do you mean he was supposed to preach only to the Jews first and then the gentiles after? Or do you mean he never intended to preach to the gentiles at all but then had a change of heart somewhere along the line and decided to include the gentiles in the salvation stuff too?

Hi Brad To repent is to Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in thine heart that God

raised Him from the dead and though shalt be saved. This is confessing the saviour from sin, then you determine

to live your life by Gods Word changing according to His word which is His Will. Then from this time on when you sin

or break fellowship prayerfully not intentionally we confess the broken fellowship and receive remission of forgiveness

for the current sin or error. It is a lifetime of a walk of discipline. We will sin and that's why we have a Saviour

    Praise God.

Matthew 5:17-18 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

Luke 16:16-17 "The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it." "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail."

Colossians 2:13-15 "Blotting out the of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"

saying its a good thing just that it is not hardly going to stop God working in you. Just not best for

Gi Gi you do greatly err , The very mystery of the Kingdom of God is Christ in you , My lil Children of whom i travail in birth till Christ is formed in you. You understand nothin bout the Kingdom of God, Unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in. When we are bornagain we birth a new Spirit ,our old body is not born again .The seed of the sower results in a baby Christ ,That New BORN BABE DESIRING the sincere milk of the word is the H.G. THE Child of PROMISE, The multiplication of Christ in us. A new innerman, That new creature, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision but a new creature is what pleases God. Don't you know anything at all about a birth, Jesus is sowing seed of his self. Thats y he has to know US Unless the Lord of the sabbath had left us a SEED WE WD HAVE BEEN MADE LIKE UNTO SODOM AND GOMARRAH...His seed is his word thus he propagates in the spirit simply b/c his seed are his Words which are spirit and life.....When Isaiah saw the Kingdom coming 9 : 6 ..he said unto us a Child is born, Unto us a son is given,Thats y Jesus is saying unless ya receive the Kingdom as a lil Child etc a heavenly birth you will in no wise enter there in ....Try to understand that Jesus is also our bridegroom . Thus there is a CHILD IN OUR FUTURE, Which is the H.G. THAT CHILD OF Promise....And Jesus also tells us that to whom the word came it made them

Gods so we know he is sowing the very seeds of God which are spirit as the H.G. is spirit as GOD....Remember GiGi what so ever a man sows he will reap. Jesus is sowing the seeds of God THE LIVING WORD thus he will reap Gods the H.G.... Knowledge shall cover the earth as the waters covers the seas...Gi Gi what are you gonna do when the N.T. tells us 10 times we must birth a new innerman. As the mystery of the Kingdom of God is CHRIST in you. And 27 times in the O.T. the prophets saw this world in travail and birth pains......

Lord in Heaven, i know that You, alone can save, and that You are more powerful than i'll ever be. we know our anxieties are out of our hands, and lift our empty hands up to You as we lift our worries up to You. i pray for Gigi and her son. help her son find rest in You and Your Word. we know that it's okay (and necessary) to take breaks/Sabbaths, so let this Sabbath rejuvenate his spirit and lift his worries and burdens off of his shoulders. Please do a miracle and remove anxious tendencies in him for good. we humbly ask that You do not lead him into temptation and evil. let those around him bring him the "fruit of The Spirit" ( Gal. 5:22) to lift him up from his anxiety. in the name of The Father, The Son, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit, Amen!

Hi "Failure". The Scriptures are clear about believers in Christ no longer walking in the lusts of the flesh but walking (receptive, in harmony) with the Spirit in you ( Galatians 5:16,17: "Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would"; Romans 8:13,14).

When we live in the flesh, i.e. leading lives that are habitually given over to sin, unconcerned about dealing with it by the power of the Holy Spirit, then we would be right in questioning the genuineness of our faith & love for God. But the battle is always on: the lusts of the flesh vs the desires to live to please God. When we're fully convinced that we'd rather live for God & not for sin & seeking the help & power of the Spirit, then His Power will be greater than our weakness. The fact that we do sin now, is simply because we enjoy the sin or want to pursue it. If we remain guarded, very rarely will sin overtake us suddenly, especially in the more overt sins that involve others. Even drunkenness, gluttony, gossip, lying, pride, etc. are all sins that we might want to do & hold dear to us & our make-up. But when we hate those sins, we will seek to take hold of the Spirit to combat them & more so, when we see the sin knocking at our door. The Spirit is there to empower us - to withstand the temptation to give in. We can also overcome that sin by pursuing another course, e.g. move away from that situation or person, replace the temptation with something good/wholesome, going straight into the Word & prayer. The Lord is always there - it's our choice to whom we appeal to: to fleshly desires or to the spirit ( Romans 6:16-23).

Hebrews 10:26. If you read the whole chapter, the sin being spoken of is about those from Judaism who want to appeal to the old sacrifices instead of Christ's Sacrifice (v29) - it doesn't work - that's sin.

Hi Derek There are a few so called red flags with certain [t.v.evangelists] just because someone said they

supposedly confessed Jesus as lord doesn't mean they understood and remained committed to that. Another

point if someone says on T.V. that someone out there has a problem in their elbow or heart problem chances

if their listening audience is 2 million or over the number dictates that probably someone does that doesn't

mean God told them. One more point they are always wanting money when in the book of Acts people gave

because they got delivered and voluntarily brought there abs and additional wealth to be used by believers.

Also like you said the wealth guarantee. Philippians says God shall supply all our need and its available to have

an abundant life but whats the point of 11 million dollar mansions and private jets and banks accounts worth

100 million. My bible says everything in balance but a lot are tipping Gods Justice Scales. Please don't tell me

I have to GIVE to give to Get Blessed by God again we start with Romans 10:9+10 and as we walk in that faith

and God begins to bless your life you give as God puts on your heart, we give because WE WANT TO NOT

BECAUSE WE HAVE TO GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER! I didn't write the book. Just Some Heart!

Failure The real question here is where the focus should be, you dealing with your shortfalls, or thinking its o.k.

and God will cover. Here's the problem, God has already done everything there is to do by Jesus Christ ,but if

you or I choose go against what He has done their is no Inheritance or rewards for you or I. You also don't reap the benefits of walking by the spirit because you decide to walk by the flesh which is corrupt. So there is no more

that God cab do its up to you to believe and change in your habits, or your conscience because your conscience

it your developed habit patterns. Your habit patterns will be either based on scripture the new man or the old man

nature which by the way is dead. So if you read this and are aware then why do you do what you do or are you

asking ways to help you stop. By the way this is not a game played between God the adversary and you. You

have to make up your mind!
