I want to state that Isaiah 6:1 where Isaiah refered to King Uzziah year of death has not impact or significance to him seeing God.He marely refered to the year the invent happened.The death of uzzziah did not cause Isaiah to see God.In the past major invents like wars, famines , deaths of very important people were used to point people to when that invent happened.So those that say your uzzziah must die in life for you to see or God to bless you are only miss interpreting scriptures and must go back and read the first sentence of the scripture

I was searching on Google for the information I had read a while ago on this subject, but could not locate it. Perhaps we will not know what this light was or what it was like this side of heaven, but we can be sure that if the God commanded it, it happened as said in Genesis 1:3. somehow, we limit our thinking to what we know scientifically about light. We assume that the light source must be something like a sun. But God can do anything and He may have done something unique for that "day". But in keeping with the language used in Genesis "Let there" I believe that it was a created light, not His radiance because His radiance is part of His essence and cannot be created or taken from Himself, as far as classic theological viewpoints go.

Lots to think about.

Exactly, Anna. We live in a world corrupted by sin. Our bodies can be harmed by so many things, even just by breathing toxins in the air. I trust them Lord to keep my body in such a way that it can fulfill its work in this life. And in the past, everyone decided for themselves what medical treatments they wish will be best for them. We can do that with covid vaccines and treatments as well. Our bodies are not the end all. We have a higher calling than to just be concerned overly concerned about how we "keep" our bodies from harm. We can be cautious and make daily decisions that are healthy, but many things that arm our bodies are unseen and unavoidable. That is why we have medications to assist in overcoming illness or preventatives. But, as I said, and you said, let each of us decide for ourselves for ourselves, and respect what others decide for themselves.

Precious heavenly father I lift up David's prayer list to you tonight. Please move with immense compassion and great power in the lives of David, Kristy, Jessica, Deanna,their families, Gary, Jim, the baby, David's coworkers. Once again, I did not make this thread out of hate or pride. I wanted to test this community to see how much knowledge is contained therein, and to do my part to increase your knowledge and faith. God gave us logic and understanding to understand the world around us to better understand the nature of God.

You may have been conditioned to believe science is evil and attacks God but it's the other way around, science is the study of the world around us(God's creation) that further proves there must have been a Creator once you see how complex it is. Yes, scientists can be misled, pressured, shamed, persecuted, fired, etc. if they disagree with what "mainstream scientists" consider true, but the truth cannot be hid forever. I encourage everyone here to study some field of science as a hobby to find out how athiests/agnostics think and to find out how to dismantle common attacks on our faith. Someone's soul might depend on it one day.
