Paul was sent to the Gentiles, and he was frequently beaten, stoned, run out of town, had to hide, leave town in the middle of the night.
It's amazing to look at a map of his travels.
Ask the Holy Spirit to anoint you and your ministry. When He's in on it, it flows.
Someone told me a long, long time ago; God doesn't like Lone Rangers, and bloom where you're planted. I tell myself the stings are a good thing and it usually is.
Prayers for this New Year Amen. Be at peace.
Romans 10
9 That if thou shalt CONFESS with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the MOUTH confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
There is a link on the Red Link page, named
Become A Believer; that has everything we need to know to have Assurance that we are Born Again and our names are Written down in the Book of Life.
:) What a wonderful way to start the New Year!
My advise. Read in the Gospels about Jesus and learn what he is like and our future with Him.
It is clear that you cannot avoid her, since you need to tend to her needs. Also, you probably cannot check her to tell her not to speak like that to you - it may only inflame her & may not be company policy to do so. I assume that you are a Christian, since you're presenting this problem on this Site to find advice. Therefore, the way the Lord would probably deal with such a person as this who is struggling within herself, is that you continue to show her love & respect, maybe even laugh it off when she darts off a snide remark to you. I know it is uncomfortable & even painful for you to do so, but real "love covers a multitude of sins" ( 1 Peter 4:8). Try and look past her words & see a very needy woman (physically & emotionally) hurting inside, who needs a loving greeting, kind words & the extra help that she needs - maybe check on her often during the day to see that she is comfortable & she might in time, find in her heart to accept you & shower you with praise instead of sarcasm. The Lord will see your good work which is of great value, rather than the fickle fading attitudes of others - rejoice in Him & serve others with the gift He has given you, with His Love & Care.

All Christians need to heed the bible when it comes to proving to an unbeliever of GOD/Jesus Christ existence in this universal.
Let this be your warning.. (It is not your problem, Jesus didn't do it so why should you step into those shoes) Stop trying to fill a void that is not possible to fill. Everyone is not GOD's children.
Jesus requires Faith to Do/Move/Be/Humble/Surrender,etc.
Here are bible verses to back that up.
Matthew 4: 2-4
And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Satan is asking for proof)
Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 9:27-29
crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
28And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
Matthew 11:3-6
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
4Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
So you see.. Jesus only needs you to do the job, that he asked all of us to do.
1. Follow the 10 Commandments
2. Believe in Jesus Christ
2. Have Faith
3. Do the work
Your Job to an unbeliever is only to tell them about Christ and be prepared to explain in detail why you believe.
All else is vanity.
Well said!!!
May I address your assumption about sinning after being baptized. All are sinners Romans 3:23. After choosing to follow Christ we still are sinners, but as long as we follow Christ our sins will be forgiven by grace. Paul admitted his wrestling with the flesh if you wish to read about that. If we sin we should ask for forgiveness and be genuine- God knows our hearts. If someone intentionally sins to use grace as a hall pass to commit unlimited sin and wickedless, then I would not say that person isn't following Christ. John 14:15. Of course you'll find some people who claim they can do whatever they want, because their sins don't count and I believe that is a lie from the enemy. God hates sin and us obeying Him matters, regardless of what a man says to convince me otherwise.
Also, when you're baptized you're following Jesus's teaching, not a ritual to get into a particular church. So, if you want to be baptized you can ask church leaders in your area and I'm sure you'll find someone happy to baptize you even though you don't attend their church. I also have a hard time with church, because human beings are flawed beings whereever you go. I don't like seeing worldly culture infiltrating into a church, for example, in effort to please man, instead of trying to please God.
Then Gen.2:7 and the Lord GOD formed man of the dust of the ground & breathed into his nostrils the breath of life & man became a living soul. So am I reading right that GOD had created the races before he created Adam & Eve? Ty for ur help. GOD BLESS YOU TOO.
In John 3:5, Jesus told Nicodemus that except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That might be the verse your church is referring to. It looks like they are telling you that the "born of water" represents the water bag that breaks right before a woman gives birth. So the water would represent physical birth and the spirit would represent spiritual birth. That I believe is incorrect.
Some believe that "born of water" means Christian water baptism. That also is incorrect because Christian baptism was not known then. John's baptism was not Christian baptism. It was a baptism of repentance for the Jewish people.
Nicodemus knew what Jesus meant by "born of water." He knew about John's baptism and that it was a baptism of repentance. It was a requirement by God that a Jewish person would declare God right by submitting to John's baptism because he said, as I said just earlier, that John was sent to prepare the way of Messiah.
In John Chapter 1, the apostle John sets this theme by saying that John the Baptist said I baptize with water but there is one that is coming after me that baptizes with the Spirit. There you have the two ministries, water and spirit!
As far as water baptism being required for salvation, there is no requirement. The only requirement for salvation is to receive Christ and be baptized by His Spirit.
Now, I am not saying that you should not be water baptized. Christian baptism comes after salvation, not as a requirement for salvation. It is a means of identification. You are making a public testimony that you have died to your old nature, been buried with Christ, and rose with Christ as a new creation in Christ Jesus.
I would have to disagree with what your church told you. If you wish to be baptized and they won't do it, find a church that will.
God bless you.
That's all.
Ephesians 5:19
I don't believe being born of water through your mother has nothing to do with baptism at all.
The baptism mentioned in the early Church was given while the church was in a transition, They started as all Jews. Jesus said he came for the lost sheep of Israel. When Christ was glorified then he told them to go out to the whole world.
At the time Judaism was their religion which they had to denounce.
They were to be baptized as an act of belief. It wasn't for salvation. It was Identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
Have you noticed Paul "one of the chief apostles" Was the apostle to the Gentiles and didn't put no emphasis on baptism?
1 Corinthians 1:17.
WOW! You mean Paul set up churches and ordained ministers such as Timothy and Titus and Christ didn't send him to baptize? Because the Gentiles wasn't bond to the ministry of death given by Moses ( that cause death ). You see baptism expressed the work Jesus came to do on the cross. ( Die in our place ) and rise the 3rd day.
Baptize means to identify with.
Here's how it is used in scripture.
1 Corinthians 10:2. You see the children of Israel was identified with Moses faith, not there own. They was scared and wanted to go back to Egypt. and the see didn't baptize them, They went over on dry land.
Here's another place it's used.
Mark 16:16. Here Jesus is not asking to do two things as it seems, " Believe and be baptized " He's asking one. " Believe ". When you done this you done the other! You've been pit into the body of believers and Identified with Christ. That's baptism of the Holyspirit.
EXAMPLE .
Your standing in front the TV. and someone ask you to sit down and get out the way. Once you sit down You've gotten out the way. and once you've believed you've been baptized.
And it's used like that in Acts 2:38. and several other places.
It plays no role in redemption, It's your outward profession in what you believe that has been taken place.
God bless.
Reason(noun): 1. A statement or fact that explains why something is the way it is, why someone does, thinks, or says something, or why someone behaves a certain way
2. the power of the mind to think and understand in a logical way
I may suggest reading Acts 2:38. Notice it says 'every one of you'. It doesn't say just 'some of you' or 'only if your mom or other family hasn't been baptized'. So, when I read the Bible and trust that its words are true, I am also believing in faith that when it says 'every one of you' that it means 'every one of you', including you and me. Jesus made baptism a big deal, so I think the least I can do if I'm serious about following Him is to obey and be baptized. Mark 16:16, John 3:5, Matthew 28:19
Perhaps another question is: are you a Christian? And if so why wouldn't you want to be baptized like Jesus said?

God bless...
The word unicorn in the dictionary doesn't only mean a mythical creature. It probably first meant a rare animal, such as having one (uni) horn, perhaps rhinocerous, antelope, ox, or... a unicorn (bad joke).
Proverbs 6:30, Proverbs 6:23-26,
Hopefully these scriptures are also helpful in reference
Genesis 25:34, Hebrews 12:16, 1Samuel 25:10-38,

Is it also coincidence that it was a piece of bread that was given before betrayal by Jesus? John 13:18,21-27, John 6:33,
