Salvation is always there for you , but A believer can fall away so far that they don't make the first resurrection, whereby spending the 1000 Millennium on the wrong side of Heaven being ruled instead doing the ruling for Christ.

This would be the first death, and you would still get another chance to come back to God thru Christ before the Great White Throne Judgement, I pray you make the First!

Read scripture, find out what God wants from you,,,

    Amen Fred!

Well spoken, Every day I see my imperfections even as I grow to his likeness, Even in my obedience I know that is not good enough. There is 2 natures that is there. Paul had a lot to say about this struggle in Romans 7.

Currently down on our luck for approximately 3yrs however we're both always optimistic about life & strength of prayer, & belief. Suffered from Depression, PTSD, Anxiety & Panic attacks since 2011- current. I don't & won't let it no longer control me. I love to help others in dire need, and put myself last. I want to continue my faith & practicing and hopefully soon someday my status will change, to where the wife & I can get out of the shelter and receive a safe stable apartment for us to safely rest finally. Thank you very much & God bless you.

    Hi Robert.

    I concur with Street preacher.

John 14:26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Holyspirit always has been in the world, and his ministry requires much study to get a good understanding and it can be very fruitful.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

I would like to know if I could lose my salvation? Because I've heard yes and no. But if the answer is yes, what would have to take place for me to lose my salvation? I just want to make sure I'm in good standing when Jesus calls us up.

    Thank You,

    Mark 15:32 and Luke 3:29-43

Theses two scriptures seem to be pointing out a different picture. One verse states

both of the two crucified with CHRIST reviled him.

The other verse states one mocked him and the other called HIM LORD.

    Somebody please explain

    Hi Micha.

Absolutely! And I would take it one step further, We will wash one another's feet. "Humblely caring for one another in a way we be our brothers keeper as we walk through the filth of this world and pick up it's ways. We are to restore such a person as seen here in Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

    God bless.

Steve - in Reply on Matthew 23:9

Yet many hold to trinity doctrines of the RCC that are part and parcel of the same false religion, you later said God is only father and you are correct as Jesus called him father and God. No man even Jesus never claimed the position of God... Jesus is born of God comes from God, Son of God and Mary. But not the LORD GOD. No man can claim this...and neither did Jesus.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Steve, I know I'm late to the party, but I checked this thread and no one had responded to your statement here. I just didn't want to leave it unanswered...

    You stated as facts that:

    1) "Jesus never claimed the position of God."

    2) "[Jesus is] not the LORD GOD."

    3) And, finally, that Jesus did not claim to be LORD GOD.

You may view these as facts, but since this position is completely discomfited by the teachings of the Bible, I will have to cry "heresy" on this. (You sound like a Jehovah's Witness, so pardon me if I've mistaken you, but I will address your comments with that working assumption in mind.)

There are SO MANY WAYS the deity of Christ (as LORD GOD, Lord, God, and Jehovah) are confirmed by the Bible. Unfortunately, if you are using the NWT you will have look a bit further than your Bible to find the true nature of Jesus. The Watchtower translators have done a fair job of removing his true nature & glory from the detection of their proselytes. You'll want to take a look at the Greek Interlinear New Testament (published by the Watchtower, but currently out-of-print), to see how the English you are reading lines up with (or fails to line up with) the original Greek text they claim to be translating. It's a great tool for anyone to see how word-by-word translation works. Unfortunately, it also reveals that they have not produced a word-for-word translation of the Bible. John Chapter 1 is a good starting point. It's one of the clearest declarations of Jesus as Jehovah, but they've altered it.

If Eve is the Mother of all, how is God the Father of all? I get that God is the father of all but shouldn't Adam be the father he was Eve's husband after all and the first man alive.

Vicki l Joplin on Ezekiel 13:20

The pillows are covering his outstretched hands. He wants his children to come to him but false preachers are covering the truth with the rapture theory.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I think you are missing the context of the passage, and it has (as a result) created this totally off-topic discussion.

The mention of the pillows & the kerchiefs are references to falcon hunting. The pillow covers the hunter's hand/wrist/forearm to protect it from the talons of the hunting bird. The kerchief covers the eyes of the hunting bird--like a hood--until the hunter is ready to release the bird after its prey. (For more insight on this, you might check out the fantastic foreign documentary called "The Eagle Huntress".)

Suffice it to say--this chapter and the next are directly addressing God's thoughts on false prophets and providing some identifying marks for such persons. Here in verse 20, God is vowing to strip these false prophets (or false teachers, in our day) of the protective pillows that allow falconers to hold their captured birds of prey at the ready--as a perch for release & return. In the following verse God also vows to remove the kerchiefs that cover the falcons' eyes, keeping them in thrall to their handlers, between hunts. The pillow is: a contrived perch, a base of operations, a protection from the "natural consequences" of the sport (the talons being turned upon the hunter). The kerchief/hood enables control through blindness.

These are both classic mechanisms/trappings of cults, still alive & well today. (See also Matthew 23:15.) For example: Mormons baptize their children into their control group at age 8, feed them a steady stream of man-centered heresy & idolatry, then turn them loose (with no chaperone) as "missionaries" around age 18-22...trusting that they will "capture" others & return to their perches, obediently, when they are finished.

(These are both precious promises of hope!)
  • THE CUSTOM OF FEET WASHING and JESUS - In Reply - 3 years ago
The Old Testament references ( Genesis 18:4; 19:2; 24:32; 43:24; Judges 19:21; 1 Samuel 25:41; 2 Samuel 11:8; Song of Solomon 5:3; Psalms 58:10) show that the washing of the feet was the first act on entering the tent or house after a journey. The Orientals wore only sandals, and this washing was refreshing as well as cleanly. In the case of ordinary people, the host furnished the water, and the guests washed their own feet, but in the richer houses, the washing was done by a slave. It was looked upon as the lowliest of all services ( 1 Samuel 25:41). Jesus pointedly contrasts Simon's neglect of even giving Him water for His feet with the woman's washing His feet with tears and wiping them with her hair ( Luke 7:44). On the last evening of His life, Jesus washed the disciples' feet ( John 13:1-16). Their pride, heightened by the anticipations of place in the Messianic kingdom whose crisis they immediately expected, prevented their doing this service for each other. Possibly the same pride had expressed itself on this same evening in a controversy about places at table. Jesus, conscious of His divine dignity and against Peter's protest, performed for them this lowliest service. His act of humility actually cleansed their hearts of selfish ambition, killed their pride, and taught them the lesson of love.

She tells him to renounce God and die. After that we don't hear anymore about her. At the end of the story, God returns everything Job lost X ten. He had new wives and many children from them. No mention of Jobs 1st wife.

We have to follow what the Scriptures say on this matter.

The moral of this story: Satan stalks us to see what we do, what of our weaknesses, doubts, are evident and visual.

He tries to destroy us. Wreck our faith in Jesus as our Savior. I get persecuted regularly. I just step over the mess and Follow Jesus, as He said in the New Testament: we will have trials. If our FAITH does not grow and stretch bigger, we may suffer Satans attacks. He's in charge of disasters, loss, sickness and suffering NOW.

To cling to Jesus's death on the Cross, and His victorious resurrection (witnessed by hundreds of people) and the things He taught us: our faith will take us THROUGH our trials too.

Satan takes and destroys__GOD RESTORES. Slowly read the Lords Prayer. "Deliver Us From EVIL".

We must Be Wise as "serpents", and mild as Doves.

Nowadays, people have been groomed to behave Reactionary; To Join in the violent protests. Jesus said we would experience troubles. We must turn to God and the Lords Prayer. Don't crumble under pressures. ASK God For your NEEDS.

Tithing in pure Faith in God, will provide for your WANTS and needs. We send it out on waters of faith. After many days it returns to us in abundance. It could be a HEALING, a better job, better place to live, protection. Give thanks to God. (Not yourself)

The Lords Prayer works. Pray it at meals so the children can absorb the knowledge in it. In Deuteronomy God says for parents to teach their children so they can be blessed and live. Amen!

I agree with you. As Christians, we are caught between a rock and a hard place.

When a convicted felon is sent to prison, they have the chance to repent and seek forgiveness. But will they?

Meanwhile, what about justice for their victims? Did their victims know Jesus? If they didn't, then they were cheated out of a chance to have salvation.

I go crazy thinking about these kinds of things. Only God knows the truth. We have to trust Him.

There's no place in Job stating she left but after telling Job to "curse God and die" she's never mentioned much/at all after that. Many believe she stayed with Job as it never mentions she left him. Granted, there was likely a terrible judgement upon her -- that doesn't go to say she left him.

    Predestination: Concluding thoughts

Lord willing; this commentary will be helpful for those who really haven't seen the repeated themes of the unity of the Godhead; and the predetermined "elect" group who are chosen for Christ to be revealed; and who therefore will respond to show saving faith. A major point that I tried to bring up in earlier chapters was that there is always a corresponding interaction going both ways; so that confession of faith and all of man's actions prompted by the Spirit are simultaneous actions. KNOWING us according to Matthew 7:23 is part of saving faith; hence the absence indicates we are tares. Our soul testifies with His Spirit ( Romans 8:16) that we are God's children.

None of the contradicts the necessity of confessing with our mouths and believing in our hearts that Christ is Lord ( Romans 10:9). We are asked to repent; but it is He who grants the gift of repentance ( Romans 2:4) and this also has a group of people in mind (the Jews as a whole who come to faith) in Acts 5:31 and the Gentiles in Acts 11:18. We still our to test ourselves to see if we are in the faith ( 2 Cor. 13:5-6). All good fruits therefore come from the source of God; and are evidences of saving faith ( Matt. 7:17). We need to remember that God chastises all He loves ( Hebrews 12:6 etal); and therefore He prunes back so even more fruit is produced ( John 15:1-2). He is doing the work therefore; our WORKS are merely the external evidence that indeed He is working from the inside out. These have been prepared for us from before the foundation of the world ( Eph. 2:10).

The other doctrines such as God's sovereignty; our totally depraved nature; and perseverance of the saints are covered in many scriptures and can be covered in other studies. As far as free will is concerned; God accomplishes His purposes through the vicissitudes of man; and the wiles of Satan and all his minions. To not submit to our Creator is folly ( Psalm 14:1; Psalm 2:2; Rev. 19)

John 21: The Resurrection of Christ; predestined plans for His Apostles

This chapter begins with some of the disciples fishing; and for the THIRD time Christ appears "incognito"; this time by the sea of Tiberius. Some surely would have seen Him in His resurrected glory before this; and you would think He would be recognizable. The scene played out much as it did when Christ first found Peter and the others fishing without success. Therefore; John knew immediately once the command in verse 5 and the resulted enormous haul that it was indeed the Lord. It was therefore evidenced by His characteristic behavior; at least as much as the miracle itself. Often missed is how Christ Himself got the fish and bread to prepare this meal without fishing gear before they even arrived having it cooked.

The rest of this narrative gets into the fate of Peter and John (always described in the third person). Peter is given the "interrogation" as it were as to the commitment of His love toward Jesus. He then is given prophetic insight as to his fate of martyrdom in verse 18; and repeated once again in the next verse the original calling "follow me."

As for John; Peter was inquisitive for some strange reason what would happen and Christ hypothetically brought up the fact that if he were to remain alive until He comes what was it to Peter? As it was; Christ decided to let him die a natural death after tradition apparently describes a foiled attempt to boil him in oil. The end of this chapter indicates one reason in verse 24; that is to write scripture; which also would extend until John wrote Revelation for him to leave this world.

Therefore; we see individual lives as planned all the way to the end in the eternal plans of the Godhead. As Deuteronomy 29:29 states the secret councils of God are beyond us; however kings search things out ( Prov. 25:2). May we seek as overcomers those things which glorify Him; and trust the path He has placed before us ( Prov. 3:5).

Micha ya gotta realize Jesus shed his blood on the Cross to give us a Clean heart....A new heart and a new spirit....Has absolutely nothing to do with our literal feet....If any man be in Christ Jesus he is a New Creature.

Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world...Its our sins that defile us....As Jesus said its the things that come from the heart of a man that defiles him.

As Jesus said outta of the HEARTS ( OUR MINDS ) of a man proceeds all manner of evil.

But b/c of Psalms 41:39 An old friend (Judas ) that eats at my table has lifted up his HEEL Against me....Thus he washed their feet their heel....He cd not offend in any place till all was fulfilled including Psalms 41:9....He did every thing in parables and metaphors to hide it from the wise and prudent....And we see that there are still folks who think we are made clean by a literal foot washing....Making his blood of no effect....We cannot mix 2 Covenants....Calvary was a New Covenant in his blood making everybody clean....The thief on the Cross was made clean by hearing his Words...You are made clean by the words i have spoken unto you.....ok GBU Micha

When Christ answered Nicodemus about being born again, He told him that a man must be born of water and Spirit to enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus qualifies this by saying that which is flesh or of the earth which is water is flesh. And, that which is born of Spirit is Spirit or from above heaven.

1 John 5: 6-8. Jesus came by water and blood. We are covered by His blood. When the soldier pierced Jesus's side out came blood and water. Water proves that Jesus was truly the Son of Man from earth. That's why we are to test the Spirits to see if they believe that Christ came in the flesh or believe that He was born of earth. We that believe this are of the Spirit of Christ. Those that do not believe this are of the Spirit of the anti-Christ and there are many.

Christ says He has a baptism to baptize you with. For He comes to baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with Fire.

Hope this helps and have a blessed day!
