An atheist believes that deed must
be done instead of prayer said.
An atheist strives for involvement in life
and not escape into death.
He wants disease conquered,
poverty vanished, war eliminated."
She wasn't alone.

Yes, I did say that. If you want a more complete explanation, I suggest that you visit a website like "Got Questions" or "Compelling Truth" or similar Christian site after googling What is the Trinity? or "How can God be One Being inn three distinct persons?
These sites may have better ways of saying what i was trying to convey.
Also, I would like to add that Jesus' promise of the Spirit to the disciples at the Last Supper indicates that the Holy Spirit already existed. So, like you said, with so many different views even among believers, what does one believe is true? The person who says that there is one Holy Spirit who is eternally everywhere present (which is how He can dwell within every believer) or the person who claims that the Holy Spirit comes into existence in believers by gestation, (as Alex states), and that since every believer births a new Holy Spirit, there are multitudes of Holy Spirits rather than one.
This is why we are to test the spirits and what others put forward as "truth" to see if what is being presented aligns with Scripture or not and that Scripture is "rightly divided". I am thankful to teachers and pastors and fellow believers who help me understand the Word of God, filter out false views, and reinforce truthful views for me.
I believe that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to the church as a whole so that, even though each individual believer is given the Spirit, the church is a unit (a body of believers) and we are to strengthen, instruct, and correct one another in matters of the faith handed down by Jesus through the apostles.
God Bless you. Keep up the good work you do on here. You have much of value that you add to our conversations here.
I love hearing the birds early in the morning. However, I do not like the incessant cawing of the gaggle of crows that roam our neighborhood. they can make quite a clamor. But I guess they are "conferencing" with each other.
I love that the days are warming up. I've been planting flowers these past few days and love to watch them grow and blossom. My friend and I swap flowers as we have been working together on her veggie garden. Will love the fresh produce when it is ready. It has been a real blessing sharing this time with her.
I hope you have a great day. I continue to pray for Daniel.
Children are difficult- you can't hold their hand. You have to let them do on their own, sometimes hinting at a reward. This is the way of God- he wants you to do what makes him happy because it is in your long-term best-interest to do so- and doing so yields great rewards.
And God likes it when people obey him and need him.
God wants one things from you- be like Jesus. In every way that you can be. Love god with every erg of your being. Your parents gave you life, from God, but they don't define the man you are. You do that. Be like Jesus, and I promise you, it will be worth it.
I just want to comment on the word mansion used in John 14:2 and let you know that this word mansion is not what we would normally think of when we hear the word mansion. If you want clarification on what it means, I can provide.
As for your questions, I will refrain from answering as Suze has graciously stated that she will provide you an in-depth scriptural response. I look forward to reading!
There is a difference between trying to follow God's way/commandments and fail and subsequently repent and be forgiven AND do sin deliberately, especially live in a sinful situation with no intention to repent at all. Paul advices christians not to even have anything to do with such persons. 1 Corinthians 5:11-12
"But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat ...But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore PUT AWAY from among yourselves that wicked person."
They should either warn their pastor that that situation can not be tolerated any more or change pastor or even leave that church.
The verse you are looking for is in 1 Timothy 5:24. GBU
I love the fact that God covered every precious word.
1 Corinthians 4:4
For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
I prayed and God gave me these verses that I may grow in them.
1 Corinthians 16:14
Let all your things be done with charity.
1 Corinthians 13:4
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1 Corinthians 13:5
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1 Corinthians 13:6
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Colossians 3:14
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Exodus 14:14
The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Grace unto you and peace from our Father in Heaven and The Lord Jesus Christ.
Please reflect on Psalms 23, Psalms 91, and 1 Peter 5:7.
I love your enthusiasm.
2 Peter 1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
I think the oil would probably represent our readiness. I do not say this because the bible teaches it. It is just my guess. In the Parable of the Ten Virgins ( Matthew 25:1-13), it tells us that only five of the ten were prepared and ready. Verse 1 tells us that they all took their lamps to meet the bridegroom, but five of them took no oil.
A lamp in those days was a torch. It was a stick with cloth wrapped around it. They would soak the cloth in oil and they would light it, and they would bring an extra bottle of oil along to keep it lit. There were 10 virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. So they are taking their station along the route. Five had oil and five did not.
Verse 10 is the key to this entire parable. They were ready, and they went in. And after they went in, the door was shut. Then the moral of the story would be in Verse 13: Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
In Verse 12, when the master of the feast inside the door says I know you not, it is the same thing Jesus said in Matthew 7:23. He says "In that day many people are going to come to me and say, Lord, Lord, have we not done many things in your name? Cast out demons, premiered many miracles." And Jesus says, in that day I will say I never knew you.
As far as our readiness and our lamps burning, if we belong to Christ, our lamps will always be burning. Jesus Christ is our light. We are always ready because the light of Christ is always in us.
Hope this helps!
