“For meat, destroy not the worke of God: all things indeed are pure; but it is euill for that man who eateth with offence.”
1611 King James Version (KJV)
14:20 The work of God - Which he builds in the soul by faith, and in the church by concord. It is evil to that man who eateth with offence - So as to offend another thereby.
Ro 14:20 For meat destroy not the work of God. A rigid insistence on eating the meat so offensive to some of the brethren may rend the church. All things indeed [are] pure. All kinds of food are morally clean. See Ro 14:14. But it [is] evil. It is morally unclean to him who eateth with hurt to his conscience.
