2For your selues knowe perfectly that the day of the Lord so commeth as a thiefe in the night. 3For when they shal say, Peace and safety: then sudden destructiō commeth vpon them, as trauaile vpon a woman with childe, and they shall not escape. 4But ye, brethren, are not in darkenesse, that that day should ouertake you as a thiefe. 5Yee are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkenesse. 6Therefore let vs not sleepe, as doe others: but let vs watch and be sober.

1Th 5:4 Ye, brethren, are not in darkness. The Christian has been fully instructed, is a child of the light, and knows that he must always be ready. He follows the Light of the World (Joh 8:12 9:5).
