5Likewise ye yonger, submit your selues vnto the elder: yea, all of you bee subiect one to another, and bee clothed with humilitie: for God resisteth the proud, and giueth grace to the humble. 6Humble yourselues therefore vnder the mighty hand of God, that hee may exalt you in due time, 7Casting all your care vpon him, for he careth for you. 8Be sober, be vigilant: because your aduersary the deuill, as a roaring Lion walketh about, seeking whom he may deuoure. 9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
